Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Claire drugged Nikki’s tea; Ashley & Jack locked horns over Tucker; Mamie and Nate discussed the future.
Newman Enterprises
Nick and Adam enter the office. Nick asks if Victor has told Adam yet.
Adam is confused… Tell him what?
Victor tells Nick he thought he was bringing Victoria.
Nick says he doesn’t think Victoria’s coming. She’s made her position clear.
Victor’s disappointed.
Adam asks what’s happening… Is this an ambush?
Victor says he has some news regarding Adam’s future.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Victoria enters the dining room and walks up to Nate, who is sitting at the bar with a drink in front of him. Victoria tells him that he’s been hard to get ahold of lately.
Nate says they agreed to spend some time apart.
Victoria says he needed time, but since he’s been avoiding her completely, that must mean that he doesn’t want anything to do with her anymore.
Nate stammers a response.
Victoria tells him to be honest and tell her it’s over.
Claire’s Lake House
Nikki lies in a bed, eyes closed. Claire approaches and lifts one of Nikki’s eyelids with a finger. She holds a phone in front of Nikki’s opened eye and releases her eyelid after a moment. The phone is unlocked.
Claire sends a text message to Victor, Victoria, and Nick. “Greetings my darlings. Just letting you know that Claire and her great aunt Jordan have invited me to stay for dinner, so I’ll be spending the night here and will be off to visit my sister in the morning. Love you all.”

Audra is in Nikki’s office when Kyle arrives. Audra wasn’t expecting to see him there.
Kyle says he’d texted her, but she hadn’t responded.
Audra says it’s been busy with Nikki gone, but she thought he wanted to meet about something personal, so she thought she’d wait. She caresses his face but notices he’s in a serious mood.
Kyle says it’s not personal; it’s about business. He’s having second thoughts about going after Jabot.
The GCAC Dining Room
Nate tells Victoria he’s not avoiding her.
Victoria thinks it seems that way. He hadn’t responded to her texts or voicemails.
Nate says he made it clear he needed some time to figure things out. He calls Victor’s ruse a “clown show”.
Victoria says she needed to know if there was still a chance between them. They don’t have to come to any conclusions about their relationship, but she still wants to be friends.
Nate agrees that they’re still friends.
Victoria says a lot has happened to her since they last talked. She’s in limbo right now, just like Nate.
Nate asks her if she quit her job.
Victoria says she hasn’t quit… Yet.
Nate says she shouldn’t do it on his account.
Victoria says it’s more than that. She says her father overreacted, but his concerns about Nate were valid.
Nate says Victor fired him because he didn’t accept Nate’s explanation, and Victoria backed Adam, which only reinforced Victor’s conviction that Nate was plotting against him. He says he set everything up at the clinic to make sure that a spot was available for Victor.
Victoria shrugs and says her dad saw it as an attempt to take over the company and get him out of the way.
Nate’s tired of defending himself. He asks what Victoria’s going to do next.
Victoria says she’s not sure. Her life is a mess, and she doesn’t have anyone to talk to since her mother is out of town. She says Nick would give her advice she wouldn’t want to follow, and she’s not going to talk to her dad about it. She misses talking with Nate and misses his kindness and compassion.
Nate says he misses her too, but he’s not sure he can be the person she needs him to right now. He was counting on Victoria to back her up, and she didn’t. That feeling doesn’t go away quickly.
Victoria says she never meant to hurt him. She asks if they can have a drink and talk; is that too much to ask?
Newman Enterprises
Victor tells Nick and Adam that Victoria has threatened to walk away from Newman Enterprises if Victor offered Adam any position of power.
Adam asks why they’re wasting each other’s time.
Nick asks Adam to listen to what Victor has to say.
Adam asks why… So Victor can put a fatherly hand on his shoulder?
Victor asks if he’s finished.
Adam says he is; at least at Newman Enterprises, unless he’s missed something.
Victor says he told Victoria she wouldn’t have a job at Newman if she persisted with her objection.
Adam sounds tired and asks if this is some kind of contest… What hoops does Victor want him to jump through this time?
Victor says the game is over, and Adam won. He says Adam was the only one to come up with a plan that would support both Victor and the company when he thought Victor was ill.
Adam says that’s what he intended.
Victor says he runs the show, and if Victoria disagrees with his decisions, she can walk away.
Adam stammers and Victor asks if that’s all he has to say. Adam says he’s taken aback that Victor would overthrow the “golden child” in favor of him. He’s skeptical. What angle is Victor aiming for?
Victor says there’s no angle and no game. He wants his family to work together, and that’s all he’s ever wanted. He yells that Adam is as much a part of the family as Nick and Victoria, and that will never change.
Adam says Nick’s been pretty quiet… What’s his take on all this?
Nick says he’s not happy about any of it. He tells Victor that his fake mental decline, which was designed to trick his children into betraying him, says a lot about Victor’s trust in them.
Victor says he’s made his reasons clear for his decision.
Nick says he knows, but he doesn’t have to agree with it. He also doesn’t like that Victoria feels that she has to leave the company if Adam weasels his way back into a position of power that he doesn’t deserve. He says that he’ll do what he can to convince Victoria to stay at Newman, but Adam… If it was up to him, Adam wouldn’t be in the building right now, but Victor’s the boss.
Adam says Nick doesn’t disappoint.
Victor says he knows that Nick may not agree with him, but if they all worked together, they’d be very powerful.
Nick knows they would be, but what does Victor expect… That the three of them just live happily ever after?
Victor says that is up to them.
Adam asks if Nick would be replacing Victoria if she left, and if Adam would take Nate’s position of COO.
Victor asks if that would be alright with Adam.
Adam nods.
Nick asks what happened to Adam starting at the bottom and working his way up. He says it’s so surprising… Adam must not have meant that, either.

Audra closes the door of the offices and asks Kyle what he means about having second thoughts about their plan.
Kyle says he can’t betray his family just to get a position of power at Jabot.
Audra says he deserves the position and thought that Kyle agreed that they had the best way to achieve it.
Kyle says he’ll find another way to get the position that doesn’t involve betraying his family.
Audra says he won’t find a way without her and Tucker. It’s clear that Billy is in his way and his father doesn’t trust him.
Kyle says he was frustrated and angry when he made the decision, and upon reflection, he doesn’t think he could live with himself if he betrayed his family.
Audra says she knows it’s been hard and she sympathizes with him.
Kyle says she’s not going to talk him out of it.
Audra keeps trying. She says all Kyle’s doubts will vanish when they take control of Jabot.
Kyle says they won’t.
Audra says she knows more about these things than he does, but he’ll get there. She snuggles up to him and says he’ll discover how intoxicating true power is.
Kyle stops her. He says she’s not listening to him. He wants his father to give him the job the “right way,” not by ripping the company away from him and taking control.
Audra says Kyle is a fraud. She didn’t think he’d be afraid of going after what he wanted because “Daddy might disapprove.” She says Tucker warned her, but she had more faith in Kyle than he deserved.

Claire’s Lake House
Claire leans over Nikki’s bed and examines her. She leaves the room and closes the door behind her.
Nikki starts to wake up. She pushes herself up, and the room spins around her. She falls back down onto the pillow and looks around the room. She calls for Claire.
Nikki sits up and manages to get off the bed but is unsteady on her feet. She calls out for Claire, asking what’s happening to her.
Nikki walks unsteadily over to the door, but it’s locked. Nikki calls out again, asking where she is. She looks around for her purse and her phone.
She searches the room, the armoire, and the nightstands. She finds nothing. She tries unlocking the window, but it’s locked from the outside. She bangs on the window, calling out for help.
Claire sits in the living room, sipping on water and listening to Nikki cry for help.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Victoria thanks Nate for agreeing to talk to her. She says Adam is “the man of the hour” since he made the decision that Victor liked.
Nate says Victoria backed Adam up on it, which helped Victor decide he couldn’t trust Nate.
Victoria says her dad made the decision when he learned that Nate had already practically admitted him.
Nate says Victoria believes it, too.
Victoria says in hindsight, Adam was saying what Victor wanted to hear, and she was following along. She should have looked deeper into Adam’s motivations.
Nate is thankful Victoria regrets backing Adam. He asks if Victor has given Adam his old job yet.
Victoria says she doesn’t know what Adam’s position will be, but her dad wants to give him a “very high position.” She threatened to walk out the door if he did it.
Nate raises his eyebrows. “Seriously?”
Victoria nods. She told her dad that either Adam goes or she does.
Nate is stunned. He says that was a “foolish” move, and she needs to go back and convince Victor she was wrong.
Newman Enterprises
Adam asks Victor what happens if Victoria stays on… Does that mean that Nick would replace Nate?
Victor says that’s a possible scenario.
Adam asks what would be left for him in that case… Would he be Nick’s assistant so that he could pay penance for his sins?
Victor says they’ll find a job for him that suits his talents.
Nick figures Adam could be their “Con man-in-residence.”
Adam says whatever the job is… He accepts it.
Nick says Victor is disregarding the children who have stood by him, yet rewards the one that only wants more power.
Victor says he’s grown tired of the bickering. He says he’ll find a position for Adam, and Nick will take over Nate’s position. He commands both of them to convince Victoria to come back to the company.
Adam asks what Nick thinks.
Nick says he doesn’t have a choice.
Victor says he’s damn right he doesn’t have a choice! Victor calls the shots; no one else! If any of them don’t like it, they can walk! They’re all replaceable!
Claire’s Lake House
Claire gets a message on Nikki’s phone. It’s from Victoria. “Glad you’re taking some time to relax. Love and miss you already.”
Claire smiles as she reads the message and listens to Nikki pounding on the walls.
Nikki calls for Claire in the locked bedroom, asking what’s going on and why she’s doing this. Nikki sits on the bed and remembers drinking the tea, figuring it must have been dosed.
Nikki looks to get out of the room but figures it’s too far of a drop for her to climb out the window, even if she broke it.
She goes into the bathroom, but there’s no way out there. She tells herself not to panic and to keep calm.

Kyle thanks Audra for showing him who she really is. This was never about building something for the two of them… She only wanted what she could get out of it.
Audra tells Kyle that this is how the world works outside of the Abbott “cocoon.”
Kyle says everything is transactional for Audra… He feels sorry for her.
Audra rolls her eyes and tells him to spare her his crap. She says Kyle wants all the power, prestige, and everything that goes along with it, but he doesn’t have the guts to fight for it because “Daddy might get mad.”
Kyle says he has people who he cares about and care about him… Who does Audra have? Tucker? He says Tucker wouldn’t sacrifice anything for her.
Audra says at least Tucker is a man who isn’t afraid of what’s going after what he wants.
Kyle says he didn’t know what he wanted when he first came to see Audra. He was conflicted and wanted to talk to someone he thought was on his side, but Audra was stringing him along, and the moment he showed doubt, she turned on him.
Audra says she doesn’t have time for cowards. She opens the door and motions him out.
Kyle thanks her for wasting his time and leaves.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Victoria tells Nate that if she stayed at Newman, it would mean Adam wins… Again.
Nate says that Adam only wins if she leaves.
Victoria asks what he means.
Nate says that Adam would be seen as the “shining light,” while Victoria would be cast in a negative light, being the disgruntled daughter who walked out because she couldn’t get what she wanted.
Victoria says it goes deeper than that.
Nate says it doesn’t matter; that’s what Victor will think, and there’s nothing she can do about it because she’ll be gone. Where would she go or work now?
Victoria says there are a lot of companies who would be interested in her.
Nate says he does not doubt that, but would her situation be better than what she has now? He tells her to think of the bigger picture; Adam would still report to her. How long does Victor have left as CEO? A year, maybe two. The stress will catch up to him, and he’ll want to retire. If Victoria’s not there, who’s Victor going to give the CEO position to? Not Nick, since he always has one foot out the door!
Victoria knows that Victor would give the CEO position to Adam.
Nate nods. That might be the long con Adam has been playing all along, and Victoria would have handed him the keys to the kingdom.
Victoria says it’s good advice, but the thought of working with Adam every day makes her stomach churn.
Nate says it won’t be easy.
Victoria says Adam will try to undermine her and Nick whenever he can, and Victor will blame them for not trying to get along with him. It’s exhausting, and she’s unsure she can endure it again.
Nate asks where she’d go from there.
Victoria doesn’t know. She smiles and says she’ll have to figure it out. She thanks Nate for letting her talk.
Nate takes her hand and tells her he cares for her and wants to see her happy and prosperous.
Victoria says it sounds like a breakup line.
Nate says it’s not a line; that’s how he feels. No matter what, feelings don’t just go away.
Victoria asks what’s happening with Nate. What are his plans?
Nate says he’s got something in the works… Some big plans are coming together, and it will be worth it.
Victoria says it sounds exciting… What is it?
Nate says he doesn’t want to jinx it by saying anything.
Victoria asks for a little hint.
Nate says the only hint he’ll give is… “I’m going home.” He advises Victoria to do the same.
Adam and Nick walk into the lounge and see Victoria and Nate talking.
The Abbott Mansion
Audra sends a text to Kyle. “Kyle, I’m sorry. I handled that poorly. I don’t want this to come between us. Please call me.”
Kyle reads the message and ignores it. He sits down and pours himself a drink and slams it back.
Claire’s Lake House
Nikki sits on the bed and takes a water bottle off the nightstand. She opens it but then thinks that it might be a trick… Maybe the water is dosed!
Nikki puts the lid back on the bottle. She digs through the drawers, looking for something to help her pick the lock. She takes a pencil and approaches the door, but the pencil breaks off.
Nikki tells herself to keep it together. Victor knows where she is… But Claire took her phone!
Claire’s voice comes through an intercom. “Nikki, are you awake?”
Nikki uses the intercom to ask Claire why she’s doing this to her.
Claire doesn’t answer.
The GCAC Jazz Lounge
Nick and Adam approach Nate and Victoria’s table. Nick comments on how Victoria and Nate have made peace. How nice of Victoria to give Nate the benefit of the doubt after what he tried to pull on their father!
Victoria tells him, “Not now.”
Nate gets up and says Nick has no idea what his intentions were.
Nick says he knows what Nate wanted to get out of it.
Adam says their father knows, too.
Nate tells Victoria to think about his suggestion. He wishes her a good night and leaves the lounge.
Adam asks Victoria what suggestion Nate was talking about.
Victoria says it was a private conversation. None of his business. She asks what they’re doing there together.
Adam and Nick tell Victoria they want to talk about their family.
Newman Enterprises
Victor is sitting at his desk when his phone pings with a message. He sees the message from Nikki, and he calls her, smiling.
Nikki’s phone goes straight to voicemail. Victor leaves a message, saying she’s only been gone a day, but he misses her already. He wants her to relax and have a good time with Claire and her aunt. He says he’s taking care of everything. He misses her and is lonely without her.
Claire’s Lake House
Nikki continues to talk to Claire through the intercom, asking what she wants with her.
Claire responds, telling Nikki that there’s water in the nightstands, food in the armoire, and a can opener. She promises the food and water is safe.
Nikki asks why she should believe anything after what Claire has done to her. She promises that Claire won’t get away with this. She says her sister is expecting her.
Claire laughs. She says Nikki made it very clear that she would surprise her sister.
Nikki protests.
Claire says she has to get back to Genoa City and make the “other arrangements.” She tells Nikki she’s leaving, but she’ll be with the rest of her family soon, so there’s no need to panic.
Nikki tells Claire to leave her family alone. She cries into her hands when there’s no response.

Claire should be arrested, Lan should be killed off. Victoria should be excommunicated from the family. Nate should leave Y and R. Nick should leave Sharon’s job offer. Sharon deserves fairness. Chance is too young for Sharon. Phyllis deserves happiness. Christine doesn’t deserve Danny.
Agree, accept that I believe that Phyllis should find happiness with a NEW man, not her ex’s (Jack, Nick or Danny)
