Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Phyllis sought to rekindle her romance with Danny, and Nick figured out Victor’s game.
The Newman Ranch House
Victor tells Nick that he’s not used to people walking in and demanding things of him. He asks what Nick is referring to by asking him to “come clean.”
Nikki asks what Nick means by saying he’s “on to” his father.
Nick says he meant what he said. He wants to know what’s going on.
Victor asks what he’s talking about.
Nick says he figured it out. He gives Victor the notepad with the snake on it and asks him if he drew it.
Victor says it’s a hell of a drawing.
Nikki asks what it is.
Nick tells her it’s a picture of a snake made from the names of his children that he’s in business with… Nicholas, Victoria, and Adam. Nick says he knows exactly what it means.
Crimson Lights
Christine approaches Danny’s table, looking sad. Danny gets up and gives her a hug in greeting. Christine says she didn’t know that Danny was back in town.
Danny had heard that Christine was in Portugal.
Christine says she just came back to town and needed to get a coffee for her jet lag.
Danny invites her to join him.
Christine sits down and says that it’s good to see Danny.
Danny says it’s good to see her too. He asks how Paul is, and how her trip was.
Christine’s eyes well up as she answers. “Not good.”
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle and Audra are getting dressed. Kyle kisses Audra’s cheek and says he’d like to mix a little business with pleasure.
Audra smiles and asks if he’s ready to discuss a future where they run Jabot together.
Kyle says that she asked him to join her alliance… It sounds like they’re on a reality show!
Audra says what’s at stake is a bit bigger than a reality show.
Kyle says he thought about it, and he’s intrigued, but if he’s going to help Audra and Tucker take over Jabot, he’s going to need more details. How are they going to pull it off? What’s the timeline? Where does it leave his parents, and where does Kyle fit into her plans?
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Tucker enters the club as Jack walks through the lobby. Tucker greets Jack and asks what he’s doing at the club… Shouldn’t he be at home with his new bride? Tucker asks if Jack’s having marital troubles, too.
Jack says he has something for Tucker… He hasn’t had to return many gifts, but this one needs to go back. He reaches into his pocket and holds out the listening device on his palm.
Tucker just smiles.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane walks down the stairs and sees a piece of luggage in the foyer. She enters the living room and sees Ashley there on her phone.
Ashley looks up and says hello.
Diane says it’s a surprise to see Ashley… Jack never mentioned she was coming home.
Ashley says she hadn’t told anyone she was on her way.
Diane says Jack will be thrilled to see Ashley.
Ashley smirks and says Diane must be happy to see her, too.
Diane says they’ll never be “besties”, but suggests that they maintain peace for Jack’s sake.
Ashley agrees, and laughs that since Diane saved her life, she’ll try hard not to hate her.
Diane chortles and says she’ll try not to hate her back.
Ashley asks how everyone is.
Diane says Kyle left in the morning, Traci had dinner plans, and her grandson (Harrison) is upstairs getting ready for his bath.
Ashley is reminded that she has to see her grandson, Dominic, as well.
Diane tells Ashley that she’s sorry that her marriage didn’t work out the way she wanted it to. She says she doesn’t know Ashley’s side of things, but she thinks Tucker is to blame for whatever happened.
Ashley says she doesn’t want to dwell on that situation. She’d like to know what Tucker is up to since he came back to town, though.
Ashley has been in touch with Abby and Jack, so she’s heard their side of the story, but she wants to know what Diane has heard… Is Tucker planning something? Did he come right back to Genoa City after leaving Paris? She wants to know the whole, ugly truth.
Diane says Tucker’s in town. She says she and Ashley share a common goal… To protect the Abbotts and Jabot from whatever Tucker is planning.
Ashley smiles nervously.
The GCAC
Jack tells Tucker that he was tempted to beat him at his own game when he found the listening device… Fake conversations that would have misled him… The entertainment value of it was hard to pass up.
Tucker says Jack did pass it up, though.
Jack says he didn’t want to stoop to Tucker’s level. The Abbotts will always have the upper hand where Tucker is concerned. He tells Tucker that if he’s planning anything, he should just give it up and go live in a monastery on a mountaintop.
Tucker says he likes being close to his son and grandson, and running away isn’t his style; that’s more of an Abbott trait.
Jack reminds him that they have some serious dirt on him, and Billy is willing to release it, which would disgrace Tucker in the business world.
Tucker pshaws. He says Jack proves that credibility isn’t needed for success or accomplishing his goals.
Jack asks what Tucker’s goals are… Creating mayhem? Getting revenge?
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra tells Kyle that it’s Tucker’s plan; not hers. She’s just along for the ride!
Kyle says that she’s not just along for the ride… She’ll have the top job at Jabot. It all boils down to Tucker assuming control of the Abbott’s family company.
Audra says that she believes that Tucker is so angry with Ashley that he’s gone back to his original idea of taking control of Jabot.
Kyle says Jabot is a top cosmetics company, but not a conglomerate like Tucker is used to running.
Audra says Tucker sold McCall for Ashley, but she changed her mind at the last minute about partnering with him on a new venture, so Tucker thinks he’s owed something.
Kyle says he doesn’t know the details about what happened between Ashley and Tucker, but surely Tucker doesn’t think the breakup between him and Ashley is all her fault.
Audra says Tucker doesn’t like taking blame for anything, and in breakups, people always blame the other person.
Kyle wonders what Tucker is thinking now.
Audra says Tucker is hard to read.
Kyle asks why Audra trusts Tucker, and why she thinks he should trust him too.
The Newman Ranch House
Nikki asks Nick where he got the drawing of the snake.
Nick says that Adam found it in Victor’s desk drawer.
Victor is surprised that Adam went through his desk.
Nick says he took it from Adam, who has no idea what it means… But Nick knows.
Nikki asks what it means.
Nick says it’s from a story that Victor used to read to Nick when he was young. The story was called The Serpent of Names.
Victor says he has a vague recollection of it. He passes the notepad to Nikki.
Nikki looks at the notepad and says she remembers it now… It was one of Nick’s favorite stories.
Nick says he made his dad read it to him every night, and tells Victor that The Serpent of Names was “their thing.” He thinks that Victor drew that for him and wanted him to find it.
Victor says Nick has a fertile imagination.
Nick says it was a cry for help, and Victor needs him because he can’t trust Victoria and Adam.
Nikki tells Victor that this has to stop. She begs him to tell Nicholas the truth.
Nick asks what Victor needs to tell him the truth about… Has this whole thing been a setup? Has Victor been putting on an act?
Nick is hurt and angry and says that he knew there was something fishy… Victor’s mind couldn’t have deteriorated that quickly. He asks why Victor would do something so cruel.
Victor says he had to find out who could be trusted.
Crimson Lights
Danny and Christine sit talking over coffee. Danny asks Christine to tell him about her trip to Portugal… What happened?
Christine says she’d rather hear about Danny.
Danny presses her for details. He can tell she’s upset.
Christine wonders why she’d talk about her not-so-wonderful life when she could hear about the adventures of a rock star. She asks what brings Danny back to Genoa City.
Danny says he scheduled a couple of months off from his tour so he could spend the time with Daniel.
Christine figures he wanted to spend time with Phyllis, too… She saw her leaving the cafe when she arrived.
Danny says Phyllis is part of his life, and he knows how Christine feels about her, but he thinks Phyllis is sincere about wanting to change.
Christine scoffs and says they’ve heard that before.
Danny says Phyllis is turning her life around since she beat the murder charge.
Christine says Phyllis didn’t beat the charges. She admitted guilt, and the judge gave her a pass. She says Phyllis should have been put away for attempted murder years ago.
Danny gets it… It’s hard for Christine to give Phyllis a break. It’s hard for him, too, but maybe this is the one time to try.

The Abbott Mansion
Ashley and Diane sit and talk over coffee. Ashley says that even though she was at some of the most incredible cafes in Paris, she still missed Mrs. Martinez’s coffee. She asks what Diane thinks Tucker is planning.
Diane laughs and says it’s a bit of cat-and-mouse at the moment. She recounts how Billy found evidence about Tucker’s cover-up of the scandal.
Ashley knows about the statutory rape cover-up.
Diane says they tried to use the knowledge to get Tucker to leave town, but that didn’t work.
Ashley asks what’s next.
Diane says Billy wants to take the information public and ruin Tucker’s professional reputation in hopes that it will stop Tucker from coming after the Abbotts or Jabot.
Ashley says that’s ridiculous… Tucker knows that people see him in a bad light already, and knows that people have short memories. He’s good at spinning things in his favor.
Ashley picks up her phone and says she has to talk to Jack and Billy right now. She starts composing a text message.
The GCAC
Jack tells Tucker he’s done with his games.
Tucker smiles and says he’s not. He’s having fun getting under Jack’s skin and keeping him guessing.
Jack says they’re done. He’s going to leave and pretend Tucker doesn’t exist.
Tucker tells him not to do that. It’d make it too easy, since Jack won’t see him coming!
Jack says Tucker’s trying hard to cover his desperation… Tucker is running scared. Jack’s phone pings with a text message from Ashley, who asks to meet him back at the house. He bids Tucker adieu and leaves the club.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra tells Kyle that Tucker can be hard to read, but she knows him better than anyone else. She can push Tucker in the direction she thinks he should go.
Kyle says Audra is boasting about “using” Tucker.
Audra says it’s a good skill to have.
Kyle says Audra and Tucker used to be close, and it sounds like they still might be. He asks how close they still are.
Audra says she has an “interesting dynamic” with Tucker.
Kyle asks the question he should have asked long before… Has her relationship with Tucker ever been sexual?
Audra asks if it would bother Kyle if she said yes.
Crimson Lights
Christine thinks Phyllis has brainwashed Danny.
Danny says he’s not defending anything Phyllis has done, but some second chances are warranted.
Christine shakes her head and says she doesn’t want to talk about Phyllis.
Danny says they should talk about her trip, then.
Christine searches for anything else to talk about. She asks how her godson, Daniel, is doing with OmegaSphere.
Danny says he knows Christine and thinks she really does want to talk about what happened in Lisbon. Who better to talk about it than with Danny, her longtime friend and confidant?
Christine sighs. She says she went to see Paul, who had gone to Portugal to stay with Lucy and Heather after he retired. They had stayed in touch, but they’d been going through some problems.
Christine says that when Paul retired and started spending more time at home, their issues between them grew and they had differences of opinions. She thought they could separate and spend some time apart to figure things out.
Danny nods and encourages her to continue.
Christine says she was texting Paul, but she knew that he needed space… After all, he crossed an ocean to get away from her.
Danny says it wasn’t like that.
Christine shrugs. She says when Phyllis’s case ended, Paul reached out and asked her to come to Lisbon so they could discuss their future, and she saw that as a positive sign.
At first, it seemed that Paul wanted to work things out with her. They went to restaurants and walked on the beach. They never talked about their problems or what was next. It felt like they were making progress.
Danny thinks that sounds wonderful.
Christine says it didn’t last… Eventually, they realized that they had to talk about things and not just gloss over their conflicts. They talked and tried to figure out if there was any hope for them or their marriage.
Danny asks what happened then.
Christine buries her face in her hands, overcome with emotion. She gathers her resolve and shakes her head sadly, saying there was nothing left.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle tells Audra that he can see her and Tucker as colleagues and friends, but Audra seems to be too strong and independent to be seduced by Tucker.
Audra says maybe she seduced Tucker, instead of the other way around.
Kyle thinks that’s more plausible… But why? Tucker is devious… Why would Audra want to be involved with him?
Audra asks what he means.
Kyle says to take Ashley as an example… One hint of betrayal, and Tucker went ballistic.
Audra says she can control Tucker, and he’s just a means to an end for her. She says if everything works out, Tucker could be a means to an end for Kyle as well.
Audra asks if Kyle is in… Is he ready to sit in the Jabot co-CEO chair that his father doesn’t want him to have?
The Abbott Mansion
Jack and Billy enter the house, and Jack welcomes Ashley home. They hug. Jack says he’s sorry for everything Ashley has been through.
Ashley says she’s glad she had his support.
Billy says, “That husband of yours is an idiot.”
Ashley looks at Billy and asks if he’s saying, “I told you so!” She says she’s been beating herself up over another failed marriage, and doesn’t need Billy to rub her nose in it. She tells Jack he can keep his opinions to himself on it as well.
Jack sputters and says he would never.
Ashley says of course Jack would, but she just wants to focus on what Tucker’s up to.
Billy’s happy that the Abbotts can band together again.
Ashley says they need to have a united front against Tucker’s planned attack.
Jack says they’re united against Tucker McCall, but doesn’t think Tucker has the ammo for a big assault; he’s a hurt and desperate man.
Billy agrees. Tucker seems to be trying to make himself seem relevant.
Ashley says it’s not a good idea to underestimate Tucker.
Diane agrees.
Billy says he’s glad Ashley is back in town, wonders why she’s here if she’s concerned that coming face-to-face with Tucker will provoke him.
Ashley says Tucker reached out to her, saying that he wanted to fix things, so she thought she could use it to her advantage.
Jack says he thinks he knows where this is heading, and he doesn’t like it at all.
Ashley just shrugs.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle plants a kiss on Audra’s cheek, and she responds, kissing him back. She asks if that means Kyle’s in.
Kyle says he’s totally and completely “in”.
Audra says Kyle was worried about betraying his family… Is that in the past?
Kyle says he’s tired of being pushed aside and treated like Jabot isn’t his birthright. He’s going to take control of his future by helping Audra and Tucker take control of Jabot.
They kiss some more, and Kyle lifts her up and brings her to the bed.
The Newman Ranch House
Nick tells his father that he’s put him and Victoria through hell, just to prove what they already knew… Adam and Nate can’t be trusted!
Victor tells Nick that he has to trust that Victor knows what he’s doing.
Nick says he’s on board with anything that will prove that Adam’s quest for redemption is a load of crap, but Victor can’t keep Victoria going through this… It’s cruel!
Nikki agrees. She was opposed to the idea since she first learned of it.
Victor isn’t happy that Nick exposed it before he was ready.
Nick says Victor wanted him to figure it out. He says that his father obviously doesn’t trust Victoria or him… Victor’s worried about more than just Adam.
Victor tells Nick he has faith in him. Now that he knows the truth, he’s counting on him.
Nick says Victor used him, stressed him out, and now he wants him to be his ally? Ridiculous!
Victor says Victoria was furious when he demoted her.
Nick says Victoria would never let Victor suffer just to get her position back.
Nikki agrees and tells Victor he knows that.
Nick says Victoria likes being in charge, and even though she chose Nate over Nick, she’s still loyal to her family. She needs to know the truth about her father.
Victor says it’s too soon. He needs to know who he can trust.
Crimson Lights
Danny tells Christine he must be missing something… She was in Lisbon with Paul and everything was going well, but then she suddenly decided it’s over?
Christine says she’s giving him the shortened version. She and Paul decided to take a trip where they could get to know each other again and figure out what went wrong between them.
Danny says that sounds like a good plan.
Christine says the plan backfired. The trip just made them realize that the distance between them had grown to a point where there was no way back. They both saw it clearly, and it wasn’t about them growing apart; Paul just wasn’t in love with her anymore.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack asks Ashley if she’s considering rekindling her flame with Tucker to find out what he’s up to.
Ashley says it worked before… She knows Tucker better than anyone.
Jack says Tucker is a volatile wildcard, and she can’t be sure Tucker will believe she’s sincere about getting back together. He can’t let her do this!
Ashley says it’s a good thing she doesn’t need Jack’s permission.
Crimson Lights
Danny takes Christine’s hand across the table and tells her he’s sorry to hear about her troubles. He hates to see her like this. He asks if there’s any hope.
Christine says she knows it’s over, and she almost feels a sense of peace from it.
Danny asks what happens now.
Christine says she’s just going to have to figure it out.
Danny says she will.
The Newman Ranch House
Nick tells Victor that he needs to tell Victoria what’s going on.
Victor says it’s not a good idea.
Nick thinks that they should all fight together if Victor thinks Adam is a threat.
Victor says Adam isn’t the only threat.
Nick asks if it’s Nate that Victor mistrusts.
Victor says he can’t trust Victoria not to tell Nate what he’s up to.
Nick can understand that. He warns his father that if Victoria finds out about it on her own, she’ll never forgive him.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle comes home and greets Ashley with a hug.
Jack says everyone is very happy to have Ashley back.
Kyle says Abby must be thrilled to have her back. He asks how Ashley is holding up after everything that happened.
Ashley grunts non-committedly.
Kyle figures they must have been discussing Tucker.
Jack mentions that the nanny, Linda, was getting Harrison ready for his bedtime story, and he didn’t know where Kyle was.
Kyle says he’ll go upstairs and take care of it… But since Jack asked… He was with Audra.
Diane thought things were over between Kyle and Audra.
Kyle says there’s no reason for him not to see her, since he doesn’t work at Newman Media anymore.
Jack says Kyle can date anyone he wants, but doesn’t he think he can do better than Audra Charles?
Kyle asks if Jack has learned nothing about judging someone’s choice of partner.
Jack says he’s trying to spare Kyle trouble.
Kyle says Jack knows nothing about Audra, and Diane should know what it’s like to be judged unfairly.
Ashley reminds Kyle that Audra and Tucker are close. VERY close.
Kyle says he’s aware.
Diane says they just want what’s best for Kyle.
Ashley says Audra is Tucker’s confidant… Has Kyle considered that Audra might be using him?
Audra’s GCAC Suite
There’s a knock at Audra’s door. She looks through the peephole and sees Tucker. She mutters, “Oh my God” under her breath and opens the door.
Tucker walks in and says he just saw “handsome Kyle Abbott” downstairs and figured he might have been with Audra. He points to the messy bed and says, “Aha!” He asks Audra how her “conquest” is going.
Audra says Tucker gave her an assignment, and she’s carrying it out. She doesn’t need him breathing down her neck.
Tucker jokes that Audra likes it when he breathes down her neck.
Audra just looks at him, unamused.
Tucker apologizes and asks for a progress report.
Audra says that Kyle is on board… Surely Tucker didn’t doubt her ability to convince Kyle.
Tucker says he knows how persuasive Audra can be. Now they have to find out whether they can trust Kyle.
