Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Claire obsessed over Victoria and the Newmans, while Adam discovered a strange doodle in Victor’s desk.
Newman Enterprises
Adam looks at the doodle of the snake and wonders what it means.
Nate walks into the office and asks Adam what the hell he’s doing.
The Newman Ranch House
Nikki flashes back to when Victor admitted he was trying to trap his children into betraying him, and Victor had reassured her that he wasn’t losing his mind.
Victoria enters the house and asks why Nikki wants to talk with her. She asks if Nikki has noticed Victor acting erratically and forgetting things. She wonders how worried they should be.
Daniel’s Apartment
Danny, Phyllis, Lily, and Daniel raise their glasses in a toast at Daniel’s impromptu housewarming party.
Daniel laughs and thanks them for bringing chairs.
Danny says he’s digging the “spartan vibe.”
Phyllis says she’s surprised he’s staying in Genoa City, but she’s happy about it. He’s putting down roots, and she’s sure there are several reasons, given the current developments.
Daniel asks what she means by that.
Danny says he thinks Phyllis must be talking about how Daniel and Lily found their way back together.
Phyllis says that’s one of the things.
Daniel says that OmegaSphere happened because someone believed in him and took a chance on him. He smiles at Lily.
Phyllis says he deserved it.
Lily says she saw his vision and knew he could make it a reality.
Danny says that Daniel built a whole new career for himself.
Daniel laughs and says he can take some of the credit for it.
They toast again.
Phyllis says, “Yayyyy! Heather and Lucy are moving back to Genoa City; you get to be near your daughter!”
Daniel gives her a bit of a death glare.
Lily says it’ll be nice for him to spend more time with Lucy.
Phyllis says that’s what she meant.
Newman Enterprises
Adam tells Nate he feels like he just got caught sneaking into his parent’s liquor cabinet.
Nate asks him again what he’s doing in the office.
Adam asks why he cares.
Nate says Adam is sneaking around Victor’s office and sitting in his chair like he owns the place. Is Adam fantasizing about what it’d be like to sit there?
Adam tells Nate he doesn’t need to fantasize… He’s run the company before.
Nate says Adam works for him now, and he’s going to have to tell Victor about this.
Adam says that’s fine. He should have run this by Nate first, but since his father runs the company, he figured he’d listen to him and bring him the paperwork he was looking for.
Nate asks what paperwork Victor wants Adam to fetch.
Adam says the paperwork is what Victor would consider private. He says he hopes to sit in the chair again one day, but who wouldn’t… It’s probably crossed Nate’s mind, too.
Nate says if only his last name were Newman.
Adam says he appreciates Nate’s concern about his father, but there’s nothing to worry about. He lets Nate know that the projections he asked for are in his inbox and tells him he’ll see him in the morning. He leaves the office.
The Newman Ranch House
Victoria asks what upset Nikki enough to reach out to her.
Victor walks into the room and sees them talking. He asks if everything is alright.
Victoria walks over and kisses his cheek in greeting.
Victor asks what brought her here so late… Is everything okay at the office?
Victoria says everything’s fine at the office.
Victoria says she came by to check on him.
Victor says she seems to be convinced he’s “losing his marbles.” He says that’s absurd and hopes that Nikki was going to tell Victoria that.
Nikki says she was going to say something to that effect.
Victor nods. He says he has her support.
Victoria asks what’s going on between her father and mother.
Victor says they’ve been discussing a private matter, but other than that, there’s nothing to worry about.
Victoria says she knows Victor doesn’t like people questioning his judgment.
Victor says he really doesn’t like it when that person feels she should be running Newman Enterprises instead of him.
Victoria says that’s not what it’s about… She doesn’t care about the title as much as she cares about him… And she has a lot of questions.
Victor says the answer is simple. There’s nothing wrong with him.
Victoria says that’s what she said after what she went through with J.T.
Victor asks why she’s bringing that up.
Victoria says after JT, she told everyone that everything was fine, but after a few months, she had to face the fact that there was something wrong.
Victor says it’s a different situation. That was forced on Victoria by JT’s madness.
Victoria says she needed Victor’s help and wanted to return the favor.
Nikki says it’s late, and they’re all tired… They should have this conversation another time.
Victor pays Nikki no mind. He asks Victoria what she meant by “return the favor.”
Victoria says Victor should talk to a professional, and they’ll be able to determine if anything is wrong. If they say everything’s fine, Victor can say, “I told you so!”
Victor asks if he went along with that, would that end the witch hunt?
Victoria says if she’s wrong, it definitely would.
Victor chuckles and says he’ll think about it.
Victoria thanks him and says it’s the best she can hope for.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Adam enters the lounge and sees his brother standing at the bar, finishing a beer. He approaches Nick and says he knows he’s the last person Nick wants to see.
Nick tells Adam he knows how to read a room. He goes to leave, but Adam stops him.
Adam says they need to put everything aside and talk about their father. He’s concerned there’s something wrong with him.
Nick says he thought Victoria was exaggerating about Victor’s mental conditions. Victor’s always three steps ahead. He figures Victor would feign a mental problem as part of a grand plan.
Adam wonders why Victor would do that.
Nick says he doesn’t think Victoria is exaggerating anymore. He tells Adam that Victor said Victoria had taken over Newman Media instead of Nikki.
Adam says it might have been a slip, like when he called Adam by Nick’s name.
Nick says that’s two slips, and this makes it three.
Adam figures it must be more than that to make Nick so concerned. He’s concerned, too; they need to put aside their anger and act like Victor’s sons. What else happened?
Nick says Victor thought that Adam and Sally were still expecting a baby.
Adam’s shocked. How could Victor forget that they lost the baby?
Nick says he reminded their father, but he just changed the subject.
Adam says Victor got angry at him in the morning, and then later, it was like he didn’t even realize he’d done it. He tells Nick that Victor went on a “paranoid riff” about Victoria and Nick trying to sabotage him.
Nick looks concerned.
Adam tells Nick that he went through Victor’s desk to find clues to his father’s state of mind and found a strange doodle of a snake. He shows the picture to Nick and asks if he’s ever known Victor to doodle.
Nick says he hasn’t but thinks it’s insignificant.
Adam tells him to look closer. The snake is made up of words… Victoria, Nicholas, and Adam’s names. He says it’s weird and disturbing.
Daniel’s Apartment
Phyllis says she’ll admit it… She had an ulterior motive when she encouraged Heather to move back to town. She wants to be near Lucy!
Lily says Lucy will be in college before Daniel realizes… He’d best enjoy his time with her!
Danny jokes around, remembering when Daniel had drawn a picture of his gym teacher, Mr. Pollard.
Phyllis laughs and says the teacher didn’t like it too much. She laughs her head off about the tight uniform Mr. Pollard made Daniel wear as punishment.
Daniel says he was the official tour photographer for Danny, which was great… Until Phyllis found a picture of Daniel and some random girl partying on the tour bus, which she decided to show to Daniel’s girlfriend at the time, leading to their breaking up.
Danny says Daniel channeled his artistic skills and turned his life around. He’s created a video game with his daughter as the lead character… How cool is that?
Lily says Daniel gave Lucy an incredible gift by doing that.
Danny says Phyllis has turned her life around, too. She’s been through things that might have broken other people, but it made her stronger and she’s got a new appreciation for her family and all the opportunities that Daniel has given her. He proposes a toast to that.
Daniel sighs and gets another bottle of champagne.
A bit later, Danny and Phyllis come back into the living room, after getting a tour of the apartment by Daniel.
Daniel thanks them for helping him “break the place in.” He says it feels good, and he’s going to like living there.
Phyllis says she’s very happy that her children are both living in town, and she’s happy that Danny’s there too.
Danny says he feels the same.
Daniel reminds his father that whenever he wants to move out of the Athletic Club and into his honorary guest room, it’s waiting for him.
Lily says it’ll even have furniture soon.
Daniel laughs and promises he’ll call Sally first thing in the morning… As long as his father is planning on staying in town.
Danny says he has no place he needs to be and wants to spend time with Daniel… He’s taking him up on the offer of a room and plans for staying a while. He tells Lily it was wonderful seeing her, but he’s going to head out now.
Phyllis leaves with Danny, saying she’ll see Daniel at work tomorrow.
There are hugs and waves as they leave.
Daniel thanks Lily for putting up with his parents… Especially his mother.
Lily says it’s fine.
Daniel says it wasn’t… Phyllis doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone.
The Newman Ranch House
Nikki says she’s relieved that Victor will think about therapy… For everyone’s peace of mind.
Victoria’s phone pings with a notification. She tells her parents that it’s Nate, who wants to meet and discuss something important.
Victor tells her to get to it.
Victoria thanks her dad for thinking about therapy. She just wants answers, and figures that Victor must want them too. She promises she doesn’t have any ulterior motives, she just cares about his health.
Victor nods.
Victoria says if the therapist thinks that she and Nicholas are overreacting, she’ll let it go. She gives him her word.
Nikki says pointedly that they’ll all feel better once they know the facts.
Victoria tells her dad that she loves him and gives him a kiss on the cheek.
Nikki wishes her a good evening, gives her a hug, and tells her she’ll talk soon.
Victoria leaves the house.
Nikki tells Victor that Victoria is worried about him… He’s lucid enough to see that, isn’t he?
Victor says Victoria is upset that he took over the company’s reins.
Nikki says Victoria’s done everything he wanted, and the company was thriving under her direction until Victor took it away from her. Of course she feels slighted and manipulated.
Victor says if he hadn’t stepped in, Nikki would have told Victoria everything… That means he can’t trust Nikki anymore!
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Adam asks Nick if he thinks Victor sees them as vipers… Maybe Victor thinks they’re banding together to attack him.
Nick says he’s reading too much into it. Victor was doodling, that’s all.
Adam doesn’t think so. He figures that it’s not a random scribbling, it’s a window into their father’s mind. He says Victor didn’t just mix up their names, he forgot that Adam worked at Newman for Nate. He forgot his own granddaughter died… Is Nick going to pretend that’s not serious?
Nick says he’ll figure something out… He’ll come up with a solution.
Adam says Nick’s delaying because he doesn’t want Adam involved. Victor is his father too!
Nick thinks that won’t stop Adam using it to his advantage. He probably sees this as poetic justice.
Adam says he’s trying to do the best he can for their father.
Nick reminds Adam that he messed with Victor’s medication at one point.
Adam says he’s not that person anymore, and he’s making an effort to prove that. He can’t just keep his head down when something could be wrong with their dad.
Nick says whatever it is, they’ll figure it out without Adam.
Adam says he’s already involved, and the best way to get through to their dad is to make him realize that his children are all working together.
Nick thinks Adam’s just trying to get back into Victor’s life.
Adam says he’s trying to give Victor what he’s always wanted… Family unity. He says that Victor mentioned that Nick was coming back to Newman… Is that true?
Nick says he’s not going back to Newman. He doesn’t know why Victor would have said that. He picks up the notepad again and looks at it.
Adam asks if Nick hates him so much that he refuses to work with him and do what’s best for their father.
Society
Victoria meets Nate at the restaurant. She tells Nate that she just came from the ranch because her mother wanted to talk to her.
Nate asks if Nikki wanted to talk about Victor.
Victoria says she thinks so, but before Nikki could tell her what she wanted to say, her dad came back from his nightly walk.
Nate asks how Victor seemed.
Victoria says he seemed fine… No sign of confusion. She brought up the idea of seeing someone to evaluate him, but he was resistant to the idea.
Nate isn’t surprised.
Victoria says there was tension between her parents.
Nate figures Nikki might have been pressuring Victor to get a professional evaluation as well.
Victoria nods and says Nikki was being careful about what she said.
Nate says Victor isn’t used to people questioning his authority, much less his mental health.
Victoria nods. She says that Victor said he’d consider talking to someone about it.
Nate wonders if Victor might be afraid of what a specialist might find.
Victoria says her dad is so confident, he would think he could fool a specialist.
Nate wonders why he’s hesitant this time.
Victoria thinks it might be different this time… Maybe he’s scared of what’s going on in his mind.
Daniel’s Apartment
Daniel tells Lily that he thinks it’s obvious what Phyllis was trying to do. Bringing up Heather’s name at every opportunity and acting like she’s so excited that Heather and Lucy are moving back to town.
Lily says that Phyllis should be excited. Her granddaughter is moving back to town and she’ll be part of Lucy’s life again.
Daniel says Phyllis is using it to stir up trouble between Lily and him.
Lily doesn’t think so. Phyllis is self-conscious around Daniel because she’s wary of being judged. She says Daniel is the one who’s making this about Heather.
Crimson Lights
Phyllis and Daniel are in the cafe getting a coffee. Phyllis says it went well at Daniel’s place.
Danny says it did… It was a really nice evening.
Phyllis says she’s proud of how their son has turned his life around.
Danny says he is too, and he thinks Daniel and Lily seem very happy together.
Phyllis says she doesn’t think so.
Danny tells her she needs to be careful… She’s trying to rebuild her trust with Daniel, and she’s not going to score any points by meddling in his relationships.
Phyllis laughs and says she’s not meddling, she’s just observing. She likes Lily.
Daniel figures Phyllis may like Lily, but she doesn’t like her and Daniel together.
Phyllis says she was very nice to Lily… What’s the problem?
Danny says she was nice-ish.
Phyllis says Daniel and Lily were in a relationship before and it didn’t work out.
Danny reminds her that doesn’t mean it won’t work out for them now.
Phyllis says she doesn’t want Danny to get his heart broken again.
Danny says that couples can have second chances to work things out.
Phyllis thanks him for reminding her. He’s a very positive influence to have in someone’s life who needs it.
Danny smiles and says he’s happy to oblige.
Society
Victoria tells Nate that her father has been a mythical figure her whole life. He’s always winning and finding a way, so it’s hard for her to think he’s not in complete control. She asks what Nate wanted to talk to her about.
Nate says Victoria has been very focused on her father lately, so he’s been making it a priority to keep an eye on Adam.
Victoria figures Adam would take advantage of any weakness that he sees in Victor.
Nate thinks Adam is looking to take advantage, too. He says he found Adam sitting behind Victor’s desk and he looked like he owned the place.
The Newman Ranch House
Nikki tells Victor that she wasn’t going to tell Victoria that her father was faking his mental decline.
Victor figures she was about to.
Nikki says she was tempted, but she would never betray Victor’s trust, even though she doesn’t like what he’s doing. She says he has to consider the consequences of his actions.
Victor says he’ll find out which of his children is ready to betray him soon enough.
Nikki says it’s not worth the pain. Nick is distraught, but he won’t do anything about it, and Victoria is beside herself with worry.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Nick tells Adam he sounds sincere.
Adam says Nick needs to let him prove his sincerity, and that what he’s saying makes sense.
Nick says that ever since Victor decided to come back to Newman, Nikki was very concerned that the stress might be too much for him.
Adam nods. Victor not only wants to run the company, but he wants all his children working together as well.
Nick says Adam fought Victor every step of the way.
Adam admits he did, but he wants to do what’s right now. Taking care of their father has to be their top priority.
Nick sighs and looks at the snake doodle again.
Adam looks at his brother and figures that Nick knows what the drawing means.
Nick says he’ll handle it, and Adam needs to stay out of it. He leaves the lounge.
Daniel’s Apartment
Daniel tells Lily that he wasn’t the one who kept bringing up Heather’s name. He only brought it up because he wanted to apologize for how his mother was acting.
Lily says Daniel is getting worked up just talking about her.
Daniel says it’s because he can’t get his mom to back off. Heather told him that she wanted them to be back together. It’s obnoxious and manipulative.
Lily says that’s Phyllis… And it bothers her that Daniel is more upset about it than she is.
Daniel says he’s upset about it because his mother wants Heather to be an issue between Lily and himself.
Lily says that Daniel should stop making Heather an issue, then.
Daniel says he’s not. He hugs Lily.
Crimson Lights
Phyllis tells Danny that he’s dispensing wisdom tonight.
Danny says he only dispenses wisdom to a select few.
Phyllis smiles and says she’s honored. She says it felt good being with Danny and their son.
Danny says he enjoyed it, too.
Phyllis says she has an early morning… She should get home. She looks like she wants to kiss Danny.
Danny awkwardly says he’s going to hang out at the coffee shop and finish his tea.
Phyllis leaves the cafe.
Danny sits down and takes a sip of his tea.
Footsteps approach, and Christine calls his name.
Danny is surprised to see her and says hello.
Society
Nate tells Victoria that he thinks Adam is up to something, and it didn’t take long for him to revert to his old ways.
Victoria says she never bought Adam’s reformation. She asks what Adam said when Nate caught him sitting in her father’s chair.
Nate says Adam told him that Victor wanted him to get some documents, but wouldn’t tell him what they were, saying that it was personal.
Victoria wonders what Adam is after.
Nate says he talked to Adam about their father previously, and Adam’s first response was, “We need to look out for the company.”
Victoria figures Adam is going to use their father’s condition against him.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Adam finishes his drink. He calls “Dr. Skelton” and arranges to meet with him about Victor.
The Newman Ranch House
Victor tells Nikki that he needed to feign mental distress in order to be certain about his children.
Nikki says Victor is punishing all his children with this “stunt”, when he really only needs to focus on Adam.
Victor agrees that Adam seems the most obvious one to use this against him.
Nick walks into the room and tells Victor that he’s onto him, and it’s time to come clean!

I wish Sally would just leave cant stand her anymore I was a fan but now I’m not now that Courtney Hope is being so ugly to Mark Grossman she don’t even want to work with him anymore y’all sorry but it’s true she don’t
This story line with Victor pretending to have some cognitive impairment, Sharon not supporting Adam, Nikki being a witch to Adam (step mother from hell) and finally Sally not giving in to her love for Adam are all ridiculous plots.
I am so disappointed with all of these storylines. Happy to have FF. Do not watch “live” anymore.
I have stopped watching the Bold and Beautiful completely and I am starting to feel the same way about the Young and Restless Adam is my favorite character and I am sick of seeing Nick always being so overbearing to Adam and Victoria always getting away with everything she does and Victor overlooking it
No super intelligent business man would allow it And it’s starting to be the same O Same O
I have watched Y & R and BB for a very long time, and am really disappointed in BB. I can’t watch anymore. This new Hope is sickening, and Eric’s hand hurts, and suddenly he’s dying? C’mon.
Writers better do something quick. You’re losing dedicated followers. Sad.
