Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Jordan poisoned Victor, Victoria, and Nick. Claire confessed that Victoria is her mother, and Adam was surprised by a kiss from Sally.
The Lake House
Victoria asks Claire why she called her “mother.”
Claire says they’re way past the “mom” or “mommy” stage… Victoria’s missed all of it, so “mother” fits best. Victoria has ignored her existence her whole life. She has two other children that she dotes on.
Victoria says she’s not Claire’s mother.
Claire tells her aunt she was right… If a person lies enough, it becomes the truth.
Victoria asks what the hell is going on.
Victor stands up and tells Victoria not to waste her time with “this lunatic.” He asks Jordan where the hell his wife is.
Nikki lies in bed. She wakes up slow and groggy and sees the door to the bathroom open. It’s all a delusion, but in her delirium, Victor steps out of the bathroom.
Nikki tells “Victor” that he has to help her get out.
“Victor” tells her that she promised she’d never drink again. When did she start?
Jordan asks if Victor is going to beat her if she doesn’t tell him where his wife is.
Victor says he doesn’t wish that on her.
Jordan says Victor has poison in his system and is in no position to negotiate with her. If he does anything to hurt her or Claire, he’ll never know what really happened to Nikki. She tells Victoria that her denial is convincing, but deep down, Victoria knows that Claire is her daughter.
Victoria says she only wants to know where her mother is.
Jordan says the mother/daughter bond is powerful.
Victor tells Jordan they can work things out… What does she want?
Jordan says she wants her sister, but she’s dead, and there’s nothing Victor can do to bring her back.
Nick says there must be an antidote to the poison somewhere in the house.
Jordan says it’s a big house, the bottles are tiny, and the clock is ticking!
Claire says she knows where one of the bottles is, and Jordan knows where the others are. The Newmans would have to convince Claire and Jordan to save everyone.
Cole asks why they should trust anything they say.
Jordan figures they all want to live, so they have no choice.
Victoria asks if Cole recognizes Jordan… Is she his aunt?
Cole isn’t sure. It’s possible.
Nick tries to open the door, saying all the doors and windows are bolted from the outside.
Jordan says that they try to think of everything. If they escape from the house, they’re miles away from anything. They’d never survive; they’d be dead before dawn.
Victor asks if she’s enjoying this.
Jordan says she is… Immensely! She says it’s payback, and there’s not enough money in the world to pay them enough for what he’s done to them. By her calculations, they should start to feel nauseous and dizzy shortly.
Victor asks what she wants them to do. Be specific!
Jordan laughs and says if they want to stay alive, Victor has to listen to her. She says he’s the alpha male who likes running the show, but this isn’t his; it’s her and Claire’s show, and they’re just the audience.
Victor says he understands.
Claire walks around and collects everyone’s cell phones. She says she never thought she’d see the day when her parents were in the same room with her.
Victoria tells her to stop saying that.
Claire asks, “Why, mother?” She asks if Victoria feels guilty for ignoring her all these years.
Victoria says they’re not related.
Claire asks how it feels to go about their lives, pretending that Claire never existed. They gave her away the day she was born and never looked back.
Victoria gasps. She asks if Claire is claiming to be…
Claire interrupts Victoria. She says Victoria is putting on a show for the others, but she can tell that Victoria knows precisely who she is… Mother.
Nikki sits up in bed, eyes closed.
She’s talking to “Victor” and telling him that she’s not drinking; she’s being forced! It’s in her hand, and she needs him to take it out.
Victor takes her hand and tells her to keep fighting. He needs her to come home to him.
Nikki tells Victor that she can’t. It’s in her, and it burns.
Victor says she can. She’s stronger than the alcohol! He tells her to show him.
Nikki closes her eyes.
Victor tells her to keep her eyes open, or she’ll die. Keep fighting!
Nikki says she can’t keep fighting.
Victor says she’s strong. Fight! Get to her feet!
Nikki opens her eyes and pushes herself up. She’s alone in the room. “Fight. Fight!”
Claire unlocks a drawer with a key and places everyone’s phones inside, locking it afterward.
Cole says he’s not entirely sure that Jordan is his aunt. He doesn’t recognize her, but he knows that whatever lies Jordan told Claire aren’t true.
Victoria nods and says it’s not true; Jordan has been lying to Claire.
Nick asks what lie they’re talking about.
Victoria says Claire believes she’s Cole and Victoria’s baby, Eve.
Cole says Jordan can’t be his aunt, and Claire can’t be their daughter.
Claire says they are her parents, and they’re either in denial or they’re putting on a show.
Victoria says it’s impossible. She’ll prove it to her! Let them go, and she’ll show Claire the records and take her to baby Eve’s gravesite.
Claire says Victoria thought she was pregnant by someone who people thought was beneath her family line, so she got rid of her to get sympathy from the world.
Victoria says she would never do that. She wanted her baby girl more than anything in the world.
Claire says she lies so quickly; it’s disgusting.
Victoria asks Jordan why she’s pretending that Claire is their baby all grown up.
Claire says Victoria is the one pretending.
Victoria says she’s not pretending. Eve died. She was there. It broke her heart and broke Cole’s heart, too. Eve existed, but then she was gone. This is a twisted fantasy that Claire’s aunt cooked up. Whatever Claire thinks she knows is not true! She’s sorry but doesn’t know Claire’s mother or father.
Victoria explains that Claire deserves to be loved, but they aren’t who she thinks they are.
Claire says she is “that sweet little Eve Cole Howard” that she gave away.
Victoria goes to slap Claire for her insolence, but Claire grabs her hand before she can hit her.
Claire says she’s Claire Grace now, and the only one lying about anything is Victoria.
Nikki hears Victor’s voice telling her she’s fought this battle before, and she can do it! She sits up and slowly pulls herself out of bed.
“Victor” urges her to keep fighting and to come to him.
Nikki reaches for Victor. The IV line that’s taped to her hand causes the IV stand to smash to the ground.
In the living room, everyone looks toward the staircase where they just heard the crash of Nikki’s IV stand.
Nick asks what that noise was. Something upstairs fell!
Jordan says it must be Teacup, their cat, who always knocks things over. She says Claire’s name, asking her for confirmation, but Claire ignores her, staring at Victoria.
Claire finally acknowledges Jordan calling her. She asks what Jordan wanted.
Jordan says they heard Teacup upstairs.
Claire nods. Yeah. Teacup. It was probably nothing at all. She looks strangely at her aunt.
Nick whispers something to Victor.
Nikki pulls the tape off her arm, pulling the IV line out as well. She says she’s strong.
Nikki turns around and sees Claire smiling at her. It’s a delusion, but Nikki doesn’t know that.
Claire tells Nikki to lie back down, and she’ll get her some food.
Nikki tells her to get out of her way; she’s a liar.
Claire says she’s the best assistant Nikki’s ever had. She says Nikki believed her before; she should believe her now. Nikki likes the way alcohol feels, doesn’t she? She’s earned it!
Nikki says she has to get out. Her family needs her. She argues with Claire, asking why she’s doing this to her.
Claire asks if booze always makes Nikki whiny and pathetic. She’s embarrassed for her!
Nikki starts saying The Serenity Prayer from AA. “God grant me the serenity…”
Claire says Nikki can beg God all she wants, but she’s locked in, and she’s not leaving. Nobody knows where she is, and nobody’s coming to rescue her! She says Nikki liked that she put alcohol in her IV.
Nikki says she’s not going to die there.
Claire says it’s okay to be weak and give in.
Nikki says she’s stronger than Claire thinks she is. She walks right through Claire, who dissolves like a phantasm.

Claire tells Victoria and Cole that other children she went to school with had mothers and fathers. Kids on TV and in books had parents, but she was different. She grew up knowing her parents pretended that she never existed.
Cole says it’s not true.
Victoria tells her to finish her story.
Claire says after she was born, they shipped her away because they didn’t want her. She was an inconvenience to them. She asks when they knew they were going to get rid of her… Was that always their plan? She asks Victor if he and Nikki talked them into it so Claire wouldn’t “sully the family name,” or whether it was Victoria’s plan all along. She wouldn’t want to be burdened by a baby.
Claire continues, saying Victoria was too busy being a “Newman princess” who handed the baby off and told everyone she was dead. She must have said it so many times that Victoria forgot that Eve actually existed somewhere. She asks if Victoria thinks of her on her birthday.
Cole says none of this is true. He explains that Eve was born prematurely, and she was the most beautiful thing they’d ever seen, but she was frail and too weak to survive.
Victoria says Eve died. They buried her and mourned her. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t think about her.
Cole asks if it’s good enough… Is she satisfied watching Victoria be torn apart while they relive one of the worst days of their lives?
Victor asks Jordan what she wants… $1 Million? $5 Million? He’ll send her the money! Just tell him where his wife is and let them go!
Jordan asks if Victor thinks his money can get them out of this. She doesn’t give a damn about his money! All she wants to do is inflict as much pain on him as he inflicted on her sister.
Victor says it’s nonsense. Jordan is no more Eve Howard’s sister than Claire is Victoria’s daughter!
Jordan asks how she’d know that after Eve started working for Victor, it didn’t take him long to get her into bed with him and get her pregnant.
Victor says that a DNA test proved that Cole isn’t Victor’s son.
Jordan says Eve didn’t know that, and when she found out that Victoria and Cole were going to get married, she rushed back to convince Victor to stop them from getting married, but she got sick and died before she could talk to Victor. She tells Cole his mother tried to protect him.
Cole says it’s not true.
Victor asks if she blames him for all this.
Jordan asks who else she would blame.
Flashback: Eve and Victor are talking. Eve asks if Victor will let her come back.
Victor tells Eve she’s the same double-dealing, scheming witch who ruined his marriage.
Eve said she’s not.
Victor says that Cole may not be his, but he’s a decent human being, and if it weren’t for Cole, Victor would have sent her packing years ago!
Eve tells Victor that he won’t admit he’s lonely.
Victor says he’d rather spend ten years alone on a desert island than have one month full of intimacy with her.
Eve says she and Victor are two of a kind. Together, they could own the world.
Victor laughs. Now they’re getting to the real point… His money! She’d do anything to get at it, wouldn’t she?
Eve says she loves him… Why can’t he believe that?
Victor says he can’t believe it because she lies as easily as she breathes. He’s had it up to here with her! The sooner she gets out, the better! Now get out!
Eve says he’s going to regret what he’s done to her.
Jordan says that Victor’s responsible for everything that’s happened.
Victor says if Jordan thinks that, why doesn’t she keep him there and let everyone, including Nikki, go free?
Jordan laughs and says she wouldn’t let him die a martyr, thinking that his family is safe. No! Eve deserves better than that. She says Victoria and Cole’s “relentless denial” is an insult to her and Claire.
Claire says other children grow up thinking they could be the president or an Olympic athlete, but this is what she grew up waiting for… Watching her parents pay the price for not wanting her.
Victoria shakes her head. She says she’ll never believe that Claire is her grown-up child. Eve died. This is all a con perpetrated by Jordan.
Claire says Victoria has to believe it.
Victoria says she doesn’t. She can’t.
Claire tells her to look at her. She says that if Victoria looked at her baby and knew she was the most beautiful thing, she could look into Claire’s eyes and see that she is her daughter.
Victoria looks deep into Claire’s eyes.
Cole says they’re both sick. It’s over. They’re not going to torture Victoria or the rest of them anymore! He rushes to the door and pulls at the handle futilely.
Nick comes over and collapses against the door when he tries to help.
Victoria is struggling. She says that they promised to give them the antidote if they listened. They’ve done everything that they asked!
Jordan says they’ve done everything except admit what they’ve done. There’s no remorse or taking responsibility. They’ve all been a colossal disappointment, and Eve deserves better. She says the only thing better would have been if Eve had been there to see it all. Justice for Eve!
Victoria says Jordan is evil.
Jordan shrugs and says Victoria is going to die.
Victoria tells Claire that she’s angry at Victoria and Cole. Her father and brother don’t deserve this!
Claire says they all deserve it.
Victoria tries to convince Claire not to punish her family.
Claire asks if she’s finally starting to believe the truth.
Victoria shakes her head. She says it’s impossible. Her aunt, if that’s who she is, has lied to Claire for years. She can’t possibly want them to believe that she’s their daughter who died.
Jordan says Claire is Victoria’s daughter.
Cole says he was there when Eve took her last breath. They buried her.
Jordan says the child they buried wasn’t their daughter.
Victoria asks what she’s talking about.
Jordan says they took her sister, and she had to take something from them. Claire is their daughter. Jordan stole her from the hospital to make her family pay for all their sins!
Claire looks at her aunt in shock.
Cole says Jordan’s lying.
Jordan says there were a lot of babies born that day, and sadly, some didn’t make it.
Victoria says it’s not possible.
Jordan says Claire was born at 11:17 PM, and they were in room C-211.
Cole asks how she knows this. She’s telling them that she took their baby and switched her with another that died?!
Jordan says it was easy. She wore a nurse’s uniform, and the maternity ward was very busy.
Victoria shakes her head. She can’t believe this.
Jordan says Claire is Eve’s granddaughter and is a “magical creature” they never deserved.
Claire tells her aunt that she had said that Victoria and Cole didn’t want her. That they gave her away!
Jordan says they did give her away. They didn’t want her. She could see it clearly! Claire was just a bump in the road to them!
Claire asks how Jordan could know that.
Jordan says this doesn’t change anything.
Claire says it changes everything. They never gave her up! They wanted her!
Jordan tells Claire not to be fooled. They’ll say anything to stay alive, and nothing they say matters!
Claire says it does matter. Jordan stole her from the hospital to pay them back!
Jordan says she gave Claire a wonderful life… Does she think she would have had a better life with Victoria?
Claire says Jordan told her they never wanted her and didn’t love her!
Jordan says they would have been aware she was still alive if they really loved her.
Victoria asks how they would have known.
Jordan tells Claire to focus.
Claire says Jordan has been using her.
Jordan says they need to focus on what matters.
Claire says she’s finished listening to Jordan. She can’t believe what she’s done!
Victor gets up slowly and starts climbing the stairs.
Jordan runs after him, but Nick stops her. She tells him to let her go.
Nick says he won’t let her go until she tells him where the antidote is.
Victor makes his way up to the landing. He calls out for Nikki, asking if she’s there.
Nikki hears Victor through the door. She smiles and starts banging on the door, calling his name.
Victor hears Nikki calling and continues to climb the stairs slowly.
Nick can barely hold himself upright but continues to hold Jordan against the wall.
Victoria and Cole both collapse onto the couch. Victoria begs Claire to help them.
Claire asks Victoria to tell her she’s her daughter.
Victoria says Claire wants them to believe something that can’t be true.
Claire says Victoria doesn’t want it to be true. That’s why she won’t believe it.
Victoria says she wants Eve to be alive.
Cole says Claire’s aunt has lied to her her whole life. She has to accept that. What she said she did isn’t possible.
Victor opens Nikki’s door and enters the room.
Nikki can’t believe it. “Victor, is that really you?” She’s crying.
They hug, and Victor comforts her, telling her everything is alright.
Nikki says they did this to her. She didn’t want it!
Victoria tells Claire they held their dying baby in their arms. She wanted her to live.
Claire says Jordan stole her from the hospital. Why would she say that?
Victoria says they don’t have any answers, and they can’t get any unless Claire helps them. She begs for help.
Jordan struggles free from Nick’s grip. She rushes over to a cushion where she’d hidden a knife and pulls it out, running up the stairs after Victor.
Nick runs after Jordan and catches her on the stairs, but she slashes at him, cutting his sweater and leaving a bloody gash on his torso.
Jordan comes into the room with Nikki and Victor, holding the bloody knife. She asks where they think they’re going.

I’ve been watching the Young and the Restless since 1977.
I am really enjoying the exciting creativity going on in the show! LOVE it and I love that Victor and Nikki are back active in the story lines.
