Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Jack met with Victor and counseled Nikki after she fired Audra, while Chance & Summer had their first dinner date.
Newman Media
Victor tries the door to Nikki’s office, but it’s locked. He calls out, asking if she’s in, but there’s no answer, so he leaves.
Jack and Nikki are in the office, sitting quietly until Victor leaves. Jack isn’t happy that he had to hide from Victor.
Nikki says it’s not a big deal.
Jack says it is a big deal… She could barely breathe when Victor was at the door, and it’s going to stay that way as long as she’s keeping secrets from him.
Nikki reminds Jack that he promised to help her however he could.
Jack thinks they should rethink it… Is Nikki really not willing to tell Victor that Jack is her new sponsor?
Chancellor-Winters
Nate walks into Devon’s office and says they should call it quits for the night. He offers to buy Devon a drink at the club.
Devon thinks that’s the best offer he’s had all day. He closes his laptop and says, “Let’s do it!”
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Tucker walks up to Audra’s table and sits down with her. He says he didn’t expect to see her so soon after their last conversation. He orders a drink from the waitress, and Audra asks her to put it on her tab.
Tucker says he must be getting a “deluxe” apology.
Audra shrugs. What’s an angry word between friends?
Tucker figures Audra’s having a change in temper and is as mercurial as everyone thinks Tucker is… It must be rubbing off on her!
Audra disagrees. She’s not rich beyond her wildest dreams like Tucker is.
Tucker says she isn’t… Yet. He could change it for her if he felt like it.
Audra says Tucker mentioned plans, among other things.
Tucker thinks she’s changed her mind… Did his pitch get under her skin, or is he just that irresistible?
Audra says she may not find him irresistible, but his offer to work with him at Glissade might be.
Tucker says she declined his offer previously. What’s changed?
Audra says she’s had time to think things through and had a knee-jerk reaction to the mention of Jabot and Ashley.
Tucker thinks something’s different about her demeanor… What’s really going on?
Audra says she decided to leave Newman Media, effective immediately.
Tucker raises an eyebrow.
Audra says she can’t move any higher up the chain at Newman Media since her last name isn’t Newman. She’s made her decision, since there was a better option on the table.
Tucker asks if she just realized it. He thinks something must have happened to change her mind.
Audra tells him to think about what he wants; is his offer still on the table?
Tucker says maybe the offer’s still there… If she’s honest with him about leaving Newman… He thinks she didn’t quit; she ticked Nikki off and was fired. He asks what she did to lose her job.
Newman Enterprises / Newman Media
Victor enters his office, sits down at this desk, and calls Nikki.
Nikki’s cell phone rings and Jack urges her to pick it up. She answers.
Victor says he tried her office door, but it was locked and she didn’t answer. He assumed she’d left, but when he went downstairs, he saw her car in the garage. He asks if everything’s alright.
Nikki says she got a little stir-crazy and had to go for a walk to clear her head.
Victor asks why she went out when it’s so cold.
Nikki says she couldn’t stay out long, so she’s already back in her office. She asks if he needs to see her.
Victor says he does… He’s in his office.
Nikki says she’ll be over to see him soon. She ends the call and buries her head in her hands.
Jack stands up and says he can see how this is affecting her. He urges her to tell Victor that he’s her sponsor.
Nikki says she’s made up her mind; it’s best if Victor doesn’t know Jack is involved.
Jack says he can see keeping this secret is stressing Nikki.
Nikki knows he disagrees with her decision but must respect it. She’s ashamed of being in the situation because she can’t control her urge to drink.
Jack tells her to focus on things one day at a time or even one minute at a time if that’s what it takes.
Nikki paces around and says she knows how the program works; she should have beaten this weeks or months ago!
Jack tells her to relax and take it easy.
Nikki asks what Victor would say if he knew she was reliant on Jack.
Jack says Victor’s a fighter, just like Nikki is.
Nikki says Victor’s already going through stress, and she won’t add to it by telling him she’s turned to someone else for support. She thinks Victor would be hurt. She hates lying to him, but she has to spare him. She says she can handle it.
Jack says, “Okay.”
Nikki thanks him for giving up his time to come and talk with her.
Jack says he was having a drink with Victor when she called. He was trying to get a read on how he was reacting to it all.
Nikki freaks out and tells him that’s exactly what he’s not supposed to do. She asks how he could do that to her.
Jack says he just had a drink with him. He was only trying to gauge what Victor was thinking right now.
Nikki asks if Victor was suspicious about Jack’s motives.
Jack says it was fine. He’s an old hand at getting information from Victor without him realizing it. He says Victor loves her and will do anything in his power to protect her, including, perhaps, accepting Jack as her sponsor… But that won’t happen if she won’t talk to him!
Nikki refuses. She doesn’t want Victor to know how fragile she is and how bad things have gotten for her.
Jack says Victor knows she has a problem. It doesn’t matter when she had a drink or how much she drank.
Nikki says it matters to her. She needs to do this herself with someone who understands what she’s going through.
Jack nods. He says he’s her guy.
Nikki says, “Thank God for you, Jack.”
Victor sits at his desk, looking at a picture of himself and Nikki together.
Nick knocks on the door and enters, saying he was ready to leave for the night. He asks if Victor would like to get a drink with him.
Victor says he’s having dinner with Nikki.
Nick nods. Some other time, then. He asks Victor how his mom is doing.
Victor says he doesn’t know. He thinks she pretends to be stronger than she is.
Nick agrees.
Victor says he doesn’t like that Jack Abbott is snooping around and trying to figure out what’s going on with the Newmans.
Nick asks what’s happening with Jack.
Victor says Jack “bellied up to him” at the bar and asked him question after question.
Nick asks what Jack knows… Does he know about Claire, Jordan, or what?
Victor says he doesn’t know what Jack knows.
Nick figures Victor doesn’t have to worry about Jack. He may drive Victor crazy, but Jack knows there’s a need for discretion at times like this.
Victor scoffs. Jack Abbot being discreet? Are you kidding?
Nick says Jack would have Nikki’s best interests at heart… Especially if he knows she’s been drinking.
Victor asks how Jack would have found out about her drinking.
Nick thinks Nikki must have mentioned something to Jack… They’re friends, and he’s dealt with the same issues. It’d make sense for Jack to check in on Victor and see how they’re holding up.
Victor says they don’t need Jack’s concern, and Nikki doesn’t need his support.
The GCAC Dining Room
Audra thanks Tucker for his opinion about how she left Newman, but she wasn’t fired… She quit. She tells him to ask Nikki if he doesn’t believe her.
Tucker laughs and says Nikki would love to hear from him.
Audra asks if he’s scared of Nikki Newman.
Tucker asks why she’s changing the subject.
Audra sighs and says this isn’t the pleasant drink and chat she’d hoped for.
Tucker asks what she hoped for. He asks her to be specific.
Audra glances over at the entranceway. Tucker notices her gaze and looks over.
Nate is standing in the lobby, gives a faint nod in greeting to Audra, and then takes a seat at a table.
Tucker scoffs and says first he saw Nate in Audra’s room, and now they’re giving each other the eye. He asks what’s going on between her and Nate… He’s sure it must be related to her “quitting” Newman Media.
Devon walks in and sits down with Nate. Tucker notices and sighs.
A waiter drops off beers for Devon and Nate. Devon asks Nate if he’s still friends with Audra.
Nate says he’s not sure they were ever close enough to be called friends.
Devon says they were close enough to do business deals and make plans.
Nate says it’s true, but he’s learned his lesson. They’re still polite to each other, but they don’t have a friendship. He asks why Devon is asking.
Devon says he picked up a vibe.
Nate says Tucker caught his attention. He has no idea why Audra even gives him the time of day. He says Tucker is toxic, and Audra must be codependent. He apologizes to Devon for saying that about his father.
Devon says there’s no need to apologize… He came to the same conclusion months ago.
Audra tells Tucker she’s sorry that Devon blew him off.
Tucker raises an eyebrow. He says he didn’t notice.
Audra says one of Tucker’s most endearing qualities is the way he loves his son.
Tucker laughs. One of his most endearing qualities? What other ones are there?
Audra grins and says she must have misspoken. She says he’s fishing for compliments and asks if he wants her to write a list down so he can tape it to a mirror and remind himself he’s still part of the human race when he sees it.
Tucker says Audra’s skillset is astounding… She has simmering looks, clever words, and underhanded compliments… With cruelty mixed in.
Audra says he makes her sound fascinating.
Tucker says she is. He says he bared his soul to her earlier, but she shut him down and cut him out of her life… Yet here she is, filled with regret after claiming to have quit her lucrative job at Newman Media. He says she’s using his estrangement with Devon to pretend she cares while she exchanges sly looks with Nate across the room. He asks if she’s part of the human race.
Audra doesn’t say anything.
Tucker says she’s playing a long con… He’d love to know what it is.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane greets Jack as he enters the house. She says she expected him home sooner.
Jack says he got a call from Nikki and went to talk to her at the office, and Victor almost walked in on them.
Diane asks what he means.
Jack says the door was locked, Victor knocked, and Nikki didn’t answer.
Diane says it must have been awkward and unnerving.
Jack says it was. He hates what this is doing to Nikki, and he hates what he’s agreed to.
Diane asks how Nikki is doing.
Jack says she’s not doing well; he’s worried about her.
Newman Enterprises
Nick greets his mom with a kiss when she walks into Victor’s office.
She asks why Nick is looking at her like she’s seconds away from falling apart; she’s not, and all is well! She tells Victor she’s sorry she worried him when she went out for fresh air.
Victor asks how things are going with her new sponsor.
Nikki says it’s going very well; they’re a much better fit.
Victor nods. He’s glad to hear it.
Nick asks what happened to Seth, her original sponsor.
Nikki says Seth had stumbled lately, and she needed someone who was on solid ground with their recovery. She thinks her new sponsor will work out well; they’ve been in recovery for a long time, and they’re solid and calm.
Victor says that’s nice to hear. He asks Nick to have dinner with them that evening.
Nick says he would, but Christian reminded him it’s taco and video game night!
Victor grins and says that’s important. He tells Nick to give Christian his love.
Nick says he will. He tells his mom he’s there for her if she needs him. He kisses her cheek and leaves the office.
The GCAC Dining Room
Nate tells Devon they’ve had a lot of battles between them in the past, and he’s glad they were able to get over their past and have dinner and celebrate holidays together. He says family means everything.
Devon says he hopes Nate’s not going to tell him to reach out to Tucker.
Nate says he’s not. He’s sorry… He knows how hard it can be not to have a father in a person’s life.
Devon says Tucker’s never been around, so it’s not tough on him. He had the only father he needed in Neil, and Tucker will never be half the man Neil was. He says he should have walked away from Tucker sooner than he did.
Nate asks what the last straw was for Devon; was it the cover-up?
Devon says it was that and everything combined… He can’t trust a word that comes out of Tucker’s mouth. He doesn’t need a liar in his life.
Tucker looks at Nate and Devon. He grins and says Nate is trying so hard not to look over at Audra.
Audra asks if Tucker would like to go sit with them… She’d happily let Nate pick up his tab instead of her!
Tucker knows she’s dying to tell him what she’s up to… How does Nate fit into it?
Audra says Nate is an attractive man… Maybe she likes looking at him!
Tucker says Nate sure likes looking at Audra.
Audra says she’s an attractive woman; perhaps Tucker has forgotten since he’s known her so long.
Tucker narrows his eyes and says he knows Audra’s dangerous… And she’s up to something with Nate!
Audra says Tucker’s right… She and Nate are sleeping together.
Tucker says she’s not, but even if she was, he couldn’t care less… It would just be Audra using sex as the means to an end… But to what end?
Audra tells him to focus on them and their partnership.
Tucker asks why she thinks he still wants to partner with her.
Audra says he offered her the world… And now he’s just changed his mind?
Tucker says he’s thinking about it. He tells her he’ll see her around and leaves the table. He stops at Nate and Devon’s table momentarily and says hello, but they don’t acknowledge him at all, and Tucker leaves the dining room.
Crimson Lights
Sharon is on a video conference call with her company’s sales team. She’s giving a rousing speech about how they should work with their clients.
Nick walks into the coffee shop and sees her on her conference call. He listens in with a smile as she talks to her employees.
Sharon asks the sales team to design a form to get the customer’s ideas on what they want the software to do. She finishes the call.
Nick walks up, smiling, and tells her that she’s amazing.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack tells Diane he’s seen Nikki fight this battle before, but he’s never seen her as fearful as she is now… She’s doing everything she can to look like she’s in control.
Diane asks if that’s what it was like for him.
Jack says strangely, he doesn’t really remember the pills or the urge, but he remembers the ugliness that the pills caused… And detox was a living hell.
Diane says it may be too much for Jack to take on at the time.
Jack says he never meant to worry her… He’s doing just fine! He wants to spend the rest of his evening focused on Diane, not Nikki or Victor. He asks how champagne and dancing sounds.
Diane says it sounds perfect. They kiss.
Society
Victor and Nikki are seated at a table. Victor says he talked with Jack at the bar earlier.
Nikki hopes Victor was civil with Jack.
Victor says Jack asked him all sorts of questions… Apparently, Nikki told him about her abduction, which he finds interesting. He says Jack also knew about Nikki’s drinking.
Nikki says Jack knows. She didn’t want to hide what’s happening with people who care about her. It makes her feel even more ashamed, and talking about it makes her feel stronger afterward.
Victor says he likes to keep things like this in the family. It’s for everyone’s protection!
Nikki says she knows how he feels about privacy, but she doesn’t need to be protected from Jack. This is about her recovery.
Victor says he doesn’t trust Jack, and never will.
Nikki says that Victor shouldn’t make more out of it than it is.
Crimson Lights
Sharon asks Nick about the compliment… What does he find so amazing about her?
Nick grins and asks how much time she has. He says she’s been “tearing it up” lately… She’s never been a slacker, but this is next-level stuff!
Sharon thanks him.
Nick says her advice to the sales team was spot on. He assumes the salespeople are younger people.
Sharon laughs and says it’s like they’re speaking a foreign language when it comes to technology.
Nick says she has the drive and the vision. It’s remarkable that she’s kept her hand in the coffee house while running her new company.
Sharon says Esther has been a great manager, and she leans on her a lot. She just can’t stand to sell the coffee house, even though she should. She has a lot of memories here!
Nick says there’s a lot of history here, and he’s glad it’s still “in the family”… So to speak. He expects she’ll continue to “crush it” and will impress everyone the way she always does.
Sharon says Nick’s words make the hard work she’s been doing worth it. She asks what’s new with Nick lately.
Nick laughs and says he’s boring in comparison.
Sharon says that’s a lie, but she’ll let it slide. She asks about his mother. How’s Nikki doing?
The GCAC Dining Room
Devon tells Nate that everything about Tucker is a lie, and he can’t stand that Tucker thinks he can pull something over on anybody he wants, including Devon.
Nate says the cover-up is one lie after another. He figures the news must have destabilized Glissade.
Devon nods. Probably.
Nate says it’d be better if Tucker went to France to manage Glissade there.
Devon says that won’t happen.
Nate says everyone in town hates Tucker… He must be a glutton for punishment to stay in Genoa City, unless he’s holding out hope that Devon will forgive him one day.
Devon says that’s probably it… Tucker always thinks he can win, but he won’t let anyone chase him away. He says Tucker is like Nate not too long ago… Nate had everyone pissed off, but he was determined to have his family forgive him.
Nate says comparing him to Tucker is unnerving. He says his actions were low, but nothing compared to what Tucker had done over the years.
Devon says Nate has proven he can change, but Tucker’s proven that he can’t. He says he needs to get home to Abby and Dominic. He thanks Nate for the drink and leaves the club.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Jack and Diane walk down into the lounge, smiling. Tucker is sitting at the bar. Jack sees Tucker and remarks that “he’s alone, as he should be.” He tells Diane to ignore him and they head to a table.
Tucker says hello. He says he heard that Ashley went back to Paris.
Jack tells him it’s none of his business… How did Tucker know that, anyhow?
The GCAC Dining Room
Nate walks up to Audra and says Tucker was eying him… What was that about?
Audra says it was about Nate eying her.
Nate says he was curious. He sits down with her.
Audra says he made it obvious. He needs to work on that.
Nate asks what Tucker had to say.
Audra says Nate gave her the idea that she has to undermine Tucker from the inside in order to take control of Glissade, so she needs to get back into his good graces.
Nate thinks she’s giving herself an excuse to get sucked into Tucker’s life again.
Audra says she knows exactly what she’s doing.
Nate says Tucker knows what she’s doing too.
Audra says that’s how the game is played between Tucker and her… And it’s her time to win.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Tucker tells Jack he makes it his business to know things, but it’s pretty obvious why Ashley went back to Paris.
Diane excuses herself and sits down at her and Jack’s table.
Jack says he’s not interested in Tucker’s theories. He’s leaving to join his wife.
Tucker tells Jack that Ashley has taken his advice and returned to “the scene of the so-called crime,” which means that she’s going to find out that he’s been telling the truth all along.
Jack says he can think of another scenario… Tucker is a liar, and when Ashley returns from Paris, she’ll purge him from her heart forever, and Tucker will be more alone than he’s ever been in his life. Even his delusions won’t keep him warm! He leaves Tucker at the bar and joins Diane at the table.
Tucker laughs.
Crimson Lights
Nick says he’s not sure how to answer Sharon’s question about Nikki… His mother is one of the strongest people he knows, but alcholism doesn’t care; it goes in for the kill, no matter who the person is.
Sharon agrees.
Nick says Victor thinks Nikki’s putting on a front to hide how fragile she is, and Nick thinks it’s possible that could be true. He says she was thrown back into alcoholism against her will. She was doing great until her world was turned upside down by “that psychopath.”
Sharon says it’s good that Nikki is surrounded by people who love her and will help her get it under control.
Nick hopes she can get it under control.
Sharon says Nikki’s gotten through this before, and she can do it again.
Society
Victor tells Nikki he knows that she’s had to make some difficult decisions lately.
Nikki looks upset and asks who he’s been talking to.
Victor says he spoke to Audra, who explained why Nikki had let her go.
Nikki asks if Victor disagrees with her decision to let Audra go.
Victor says she’s in charge of Newman Media… She can hire and fire as she pleases. He doesn’t want any more stress in Nikki’s life.
Nikki says she’ll bring people onboard when she knows they can respect her boundaries, but in the meantime, she has other resources she can utilize. The work will get done, and she won’t overdo it. She’ll be fine!
Victor’s phone rings. He answers, and his head of security tells him there was a fire at the prison where Jordan is being held. There’s no word on how many casualties or survivors there are. Victor asks to be kept informed and ends the call.
Nikki asks what’s wrong.
Victor says it’s just business… Nothing to worry about.

It’s driving me crazy with Nikki story . I know how the family is dealing nd feeling. It’s very hard to see an alcoholic . I had a home full of alcohol family .they all died from drinking . My son drink’s . He tells me he slowed down but I don’t know. I drink to but not heavy no more I’ve taking it one day slowly . My mother pass away nd it was very hard nd I turn to booze . It was best for me to drink to easy the pain I was going through. I am recovering slowly I still drink but very little . I have seen it all. I wish they stop with that story . I cry when I seen Nikki drink .she can stop I know she she will and she will and she did it . Just leave her alone give her another story she can do . I don’t watch it much when she is on . I have to . Thank u for listing
