Tucker, Jack, Nikki, and Victor.

On the last episode of Y&R, Victor kept the news of a fire at Jordan’s prison a secret from Nikki, and Tucker & Jack clashed over Ashley’s trip to Paris.

Jabot Cosmetics

Jack Abbott and Diane Abbott-Jenkins.
CBS

Jack says nothing is too good for the new co-CEO of Jabot. He’s sorry Tucker temporarily spoiled the mood.

Diane says she’s already forgotten about Tucker. She kisses Jack and they head into the office to start work.

Kyle is sitting on the sofa reading through some papers. Diane and Jack are surprised to see him there; they didn’t even hear him leave this morning.

Kyle Abbott.
CBS

Kyle says he was up early and decided to get a head start on his day.

Jack says he’s noticed that Kyle’s been the first in and the first to leave… He couldn’t be prouder of him!

Society

Nate enters the restaurant and passes by Tucker sitting at a table. He orders a coffee from the bar.

Tucker McCall and Nate Hastings.
CBS

Tucker says good morning, and Nate returns the greeting. Tucker approaches Nate and asks if he and Audra are an item; Nate seemed pretty comfortable up in her suite, and Tucker saw a sparkle in Audra’s eyes… She might have mentioned something about them.

Nate doubts Audra said anything and tells Tucker that even if he and Audra are together, that’s none of his business.

Tucker and Nate.
CBS

Tucker says that’s true, but he’s close with Audra.

Nate says they’re not close anymore… Audra’s done with Tucker. Is he the last to know this?

Newman Enterprises

Victor is on the phone and asks the party on the other end to keep him informed every step of the way. He ends the call as Nick and Victoria walk in.

Victoria Newman, Nicholas Newman, and Victor Newman.
CBS

Nick and Victoria ask what the urgent call to meet is about.

Victor asks them to take a seat, and when they do, he tells them that his security team called him and told him there was a huge fire at the prison where Jordan is incarcerated.

Victoria is shocked, and Nick asks what Victor knows about it.

Victoria looks worried.
CBS

Victor says he doesn’t know much and hasn’t heard how many people survived.

Victoria asks if Jordan was killed.

Nick wonders if it’s wrong to hope Jordan is burning in hell for what she did to Nikki.

Nick Newman.
CBS

Victoria reminds Nick that Jordan also tormented Claire.

Victor says they don’t know anything about Jordan’s whereabouts. They don’t know if she was a victim of the fire, but he assumes that in the chaos of the fire, some people could have escaped.

Victoria says Jordan could be dead or has escaped and is ready to do “God knows what.”

Victor Newman.
CBS

Newman Media

Nikki is going through some files when Audra walks into the office.

Nikki Newman and Audra Charles.
CBS

Audra says she’s packed up her office and turned in her security badge… Unless Nikki has changed her mind about letting her go.

Nikki says she’d only change her mind if Audra changed her mind about opening the London office.

Audra says she hasn’t.

Nikki Newman.
CBS

Nikki says she’s sorry, but her decision stands.

Audra says she’s sorry as well.

Nikki says it probably seems unfair to Audra.

Audra Charles.
CBS

Audra says her work at Newman Media was exemplary.

Nikki agrees and says that a part of her regrets it, but given the circumstances, she needs to be selfish.

Audra says Nikki wants to protect herself against her, even though she told her she’s not a threat and would never reveal what she’s going through to anyone. Audra says she gave her word that she’d keep her distance and not monitor her or betray her confidence.

Nikki looks at Audra.
CBS

Nikki says they’ve had this conversation already.

Audra hopes Nikki can find her replacement quickly since running Newman Media alone will increase Nikki’s stress and be a greater test of her sobriety than Audra’s presence could ever be.

Newman Enterprises

Victor says he was concerned about “that Jordan woman” from the moment he heard about the fire.

Victoria and Nick.
CBS

Victoria wonders what this could mean for Nikki and Claire.

Nick doubts that Jordan would risk showing her face in Genoa City or showing up at the hospital.

Victor says Jordan is insane and has a vendetta against Nikki and the Newman family. Unless they get proof that she died in the fire, they need to keep on their toes. He’s sent a security team to the hospital to watch over Claire.

Victor talks to Victoria and Nick.
CBS

Victoria says she’d hate for this news to ruin anything for Claire and wants to keep the security team’s presence a secret.

Victor says he’ll take care of it. He says he got the call about the fire when he was with Nikki and decided not to tell her.

Victoria says it makes sense; the last thing her mom needs is another threat to her sobriety.

Victoria talks to her father.
CBS

Nick says they can’t keep it from her forever… She’ll find out soon enough.

Victoria agrees that they need to find out soon.

Victor says Nikki fired Audra Charles, which has added to her stress.

Nick looks concerned.
CBS

Nick and Victoria ask what happened with Audra.

Victor says Audra found out about Nikki’s drinking and offered her support, but Nikki didn’t like that.

Nick is upset that Nikki is running Newman Media by herself.

Victoria.
CBS

Victor says he’s confident Nikki can handle it.

Victoria says Nikki is a superwoman who can do anything, but running it alone is the last thing she needs.

Victor says the only thing they can do now is to support her.

Victor Newman.
CBS

Nick says they can pray that Jordan doesn’t show up.

Victor nods. He says they need to keep this news from their mother.

Newman Media

Nikki tells Audra she has the situation under control.

Nikki Newman.
CBS

Audra says she’s sure she does.

Nikki wishes Audra success and says that wherever she ends up, they’ll be lucky to have her. She’s happy to write a glowing recommendation for her. Nikki holds out her hand.

Audra shakes Nikki’s hand and tells her she appreciates it. They might have gotten off to a rocky start, but Nikki’s guidance means the world to her. She says Nikki is a legend in this business and hopes she’s successful with her latest challenge.

Nikki thanks her, and Audra leaves the office.

Outside Nikki’s office, Audra curses and sends a text message to Tucker. “Did you make up your mind?”

Audra sends a message to Tucker.
CBS

Society

Tucker’s phone pings with Audra’s message notification. He reads the message and tells Nate that he’ll never understand the bond he shares with Audra.

Nate says Tucker is clinging to a fantasy. He says Tucker is no good for Audra and should let her go if he cares about her. Audra is brilliant and talented but will never achieve her true potential with Tucker’s dead weight around her neck.

Tucker checks his phone as Nate looks on.
CBS

Tucker says Audra’s gotten pretty far with his “dead weight” around her neck.

Nate says he’s sure Audra would appreciate Tucker taking the credit. He sits down at a table with his coffee.

Tucker sits with Nate and tells him that he’s supported Audra because he understands her, and she understands him… That’s how he knows she’s got something in the works aimed at him. He asks Nate if he knows anything about it.

Nate looks at Tucker.
CBS

Nate says he has no clue.

Tucker laughs. No clue. He says Audra’s confidence is alluring, and he has a sneaking suspicion that Audra thinks she can get one over on him. He tells Nate to let Audra know that he’s onto her, and no matter what she thinks, she won’t beat him at his own game.

Jabot Cosmetics

Diane tells Kyle if she’d known he was in early, she would have brought him a coffee from Crimson Lights.

Diane smiles at Kyle.
CBS

Kyle smiles and says the office brew is fine by him. He’s just plugging away and trying to make up for his past bad behavior.

Jack says that’s in the past. He doesn’t need to remind Kyle that he helped save Jabot from Tucker McCall! Kyle doesn’t have to work to impress his parents; they’re perfectly happy with his love and loyalty, but they’d like his business experience.

Kyle says he has something to prove to himself. He says since he was there early, he decided to get a headstart on restructuring the interns.

Kyle smiles as he adjusts his tie.
CBS

Diane is surprised; she was going to be working on that today!

Kyle says she doesn’t have to worry about it now; some legal things needed to be done, and he was familiar with the processes.

Diane thanks him.

Diane talks to Jack.
CBS

Kyle excuses himself to go to a meeting. He leaves the office.

Diane closes the door behind him.

Jack says he thinks things are working out great; the three of them are guiding Jabot to a bright new future!

Jack talks to Diane.
CBS

Diane’s not sure Kyle’s on board with Jack’s mission.

Jack says Kyle is committed. He’s ready to do the work and is going above and beyond.

Diane says Kyle is saying everything right, but she thinks he’s trying too hard… Kyle is disappointed that Jack didn’t make him co-CEO.

Diane smiles at Jack.
CBS

Jack reminds her that Kyle said he wasn’t ready for the position. He thinks Diane is overthinking things.

Diane says Kyle wasn’t trying to help her with the intern project; it was his subtle way of showing that he could do Diane’s job better than she could.

Society

Nate tells Tucker his narcissism is astonishing. He says the world doesn’t revolve around Tucker.

Nate Hastings.
CBS

Tucker says his world does, just like Nate’s revolves around him, and Audra’s revolves around her. That’s how it works for people like them.

Nate scoffs and says he’s nothing like Tucker.

Tucker laughs. He says Nate is like him, but he’s not as good at it. He says Nate’s weakness is that he wants to be liked. He says he saw him sucking up to Devon last night and hoping for his approval.

Tucker smiles.
CBS

Nate says he’s rebuilding his relationship with Devon, and they’re in a good place. Tucker can’t stand to see it because his son wants nothing to do with him.

Tucker says if Nate gets tired of being passed over at Chancellor-Winters, he should consider working with Audra and himself.

Nate shakes his head. He says there is no “Audra and Tucker.”

Nate.
CBS

Audra walks into the restaurant and approaches Nate and Tucker’s table. Smiling, she asks what’s going on.

Tucker says that Nate is considering working with them.

Audra asks Nate if that’s true.

Audra smiles at Nate and Tucker.
CBS

Nate says there’s no way in hell.

Tucker says, “We’ll see.” He stands up and tells Nate to enjoy his day.

Audra excuses herself and follows Tucker, to Nate’s dismay. Outside, she asks Tucker about what he said to Nate… Has he forgiven her? Is she back in his good graces as his partner?

Audra talks to Tucker.
CBS

Tucker grins and wonders how he should play this.

Audra shivers and tells him he’s infuriating. Would it kill him to answer the question?

Tucker takes off his coat and wraps it around her. He tells her that she’s back in.

Tucker touches Audra's hair.
CBS

Audra asks if he’s still angry at her.

Tucker says he couldn’t stay angry at her after what they’ve been through. He says it’s their own special kind of fun, and they’re going to have a blast this time around!

Audra says he won’t regret it.

Tucker knows he won’t. He grins and says the only way he’s going to find out what she’s up to is by bringing her back.

Audra and Tucker talk.
CBS

Newman Enterprises

Victor asks Nick how things are going between him and Adam; are they still getting along and working well together?

Nick says Adam’s been on his best behavior, but they both know he could go up in flames at any provocation.

Nick Newman.
CBS

Victor thinks things could be different this time.

Nick says he’s pulling for Adam. He’s got a bright future in front of him as long as he can keep it together.

Victor asks what Nick thinks about Adam seeing Sally Spectra.

Victor Newman.
CBS

Nick says it wasn’t easy for him at first; he cared a lot about her and thought they had a future, but there’s obvious chemistry between them both, and he wishes them the best.

Victor says that’s very mature of Nick.

Nick says Victor made it clear how he felt about Sally, and he’s probably not happy that she’s still in the picture, regardless of which brother she’s with.

Nick talks to his father.
CBS

Victor says he never fully trusted Sally and didn’t really like her, but maybe things have changed for the better.

Nick says they need to stay out of it. He knows it’s not easy for Victor, but he thinks it’s their best chance to keep Adam focused and on his best behavior.

Jabot Cosmetics / Newman Media

Jack thinks Diane is jumping to conclusions about Kyle. No matter how good she is at her job, the mother in her thinks Kyle should have gotten the job instead of her.

Jack talks on the phone while Diane looks on.
CBS

Diane says it’s not too late for Jack to change his mind.

Jack says Diane and Kyle are exactly where they should be, and he has no regrets about his decision. His phone rings, and he answers. It’s Nikki. Jack tells Diane he needs to talk to Nikki, and she leaves the office.

Diane walks into the lobby and sees Kyle, who is just finishing a phone call. She says she thought he was in a meeting.

Diane talks with Kyle.
CBS

Kyle says the meeting was just canceled. He doesn’t mind since he can work on the lip oil launch.

Diane says she wanted to tweak a few details about the lip oil.

Kyle says he worked on it before and has some ideas for marketing it best.

Kyle talks to his mother.
CBS

Diane says she has some ideas on it as well.

Kyle says Diane was talking about working on production timing, and now she can focus on it. “You’re welcome!”

Diane tells him to “just stop.”

Diane and Kyle talk.
CBS

Jack asks Nikki what he can do for her.

Nikki says she’s swamped and asks if he’s found a replacement for Audra yet.

Jack says he’s waiting to hear back about it, but it could take some time.

Jack Abbott.
CBS

Nikki says she’s running out of time. Maybe it’s not that bad, but she had a bad “moment.”

Jack asks what happened.

Nikki says Audra came by her office to say goodbye. She says Audra told her that her job would be more stressful without her, and it would threaten her sobriety more than if she’d kept her on; does Jack think she made a mistake?

Nikki Newman talks on the phone.
CBS

Jack says letting Audra go was part of Nikki’s recovery. He says she’s perfectly capable of running Newman Media on her own until she gets a COO.

Nikki says she loves his confidence… She wishes she had some.

Jack suggests they have a late breakfast to talk.

Jack talks to Nikki on the phone.
CBS

Nikki says she’s got too much work to take a break. She wonders if she’s self-sabotaging and making terrible decisions.

Jack tells her not to spiral into doubt. Focus on working an hour at a time. He knows she can do this.

Nikki says he knows her so well.

Nikki Newman.
CBS

There’s a knock at the door. It opens, and Victoria walks in.

Nikki tells Jack her next appointment is there and thanks him for the advice. She hangs up the call.

Victoria asks if that’s what she is to her mom… Her next appointment? She says she heard that Nikki let Audra go.

Victoria enters her mom's office.
CBS

Nikki says news travels fast.

Victoria says Victor told her and Nicholas; is Nikki sure that was a good idea?

Nikki says that having her judgment questioned isn’t helpful.

Nikki talks to her daughter.
CBS

Victoria apologizes.

Nikki says she’s sorry… She shouldn’t have snapped.

Victoria says she was concerned that Nikki’s workload had doubled after firing Audra. She asks if Nikki thinks it’s safe for her sobriety.

Victoria and Nikki Newman.
CBS

Nikki says Victoria sounds just like her father. She wishes everyone would stop worrying; she’s fine. The more work she has, the better off she’ll be!

Victoria says she knows how strong her mom can be under normal circumstances.

Nikki says there are no normal circumstances for an alcoholic, but she’s won this battle before, and she’ll do it again!

Nikki sits and talks to Victoria.
CBS

Victoria wants to help. She says she can step in as interim COO and relieve some of the pressure.

Nikki says she’d love to work with her daughter again, but Victoria is dealing with getting Claire healthy, and she won’t take that away from her. She asks how Claire is doing.

Victoria says Claire is doing better and seems more optimistic and open. She still has a long way to go, but she and Cole are hopeful. Victoria says she wants to help her mom; she’ll look at her schedule and make it work.

Nikki Newman and Victoria Newman hug.
CBS

Nikki refuses. She says hard work isn’t foreign to her; she’ll be fine. She has a conference call she needs to prep for. She tells Victoria she’s “officially kicking her out.”

Victoria sighs, hugs her mom, and tells her she loves her. She leaves the office.

Nikki rubs her face and looks stressed.

Nikki Newman rubs her face.
CBS

Jabot Cosmetics

Diane tells Kyle she doesn’t need him to pick up her slack at the office; it feels like he’s worried that she’s not ready to take on the position of co-CEO.

Kyle says that’s not what he was doing. He suggested she take the co-CEO position before Jack offered it to her.

Kyle and Diane talk.
CBS

Diane says he’s gone into overdrive since she got the position. She thinks Kyle may be subconsciously trying to prove he can do her job better than she can.

Kyle says he was just trying to help. He apologizes and says he’ll back off.

Diane thinks she’s upset him now, but Kyle says she hasn’t. Diane says she’s proud of him and happy to work with him as a team. She hugs him and leaves the lobby.

Diane and Kyle hug.
CBS

Society

Audra tells Tucker she’s not plotting anything against him.

Tucker doesn’t believe her.

Audra talks with Tucker.
CBS

Audra says they’ve accomplished amazing things together, and she’s learned a lot from him. She wants to learn more!

Tucker laughs and says she’s laying it on thick.

Audra says it’s because he’s being dramatic, and honesty wasn’t getting through to him. She asks if they can move on; they’re a team again, and she wants to start taking Glissade to the top with him.

Tucker smiles at Audra.
CBS

Tucker says he’s her only option, considering she left Newman Media.

Audra says they should stop talking about it. It’s boring her, and Tucker hates to be boring.

Tucker asks why he should trust her. He says she looks good in his jacket; she should keep it. He leaves, saying he’ll see her around.

Audra narrows her eyes at Tucker.
CBS

Audra heads back inside and sits at Nate’s table. She asks what happened between him and Tucker.

Nate shrugs. He says Tucker was just “being Tucker.” He hopes Audra told Tucker to stay away from her and that she’s perfectly happy at Newman Media.

Audra says she can’t do that… She resigned.

Nate listens to Audra.
CBS

Nate figures Audra is lying. She didn’t quit, did she? Nikki must have fired her.

Audra says that’s splitting hairs… Either way, she’s out of a job.

Nate says she failed to mention it to him last night.

Audra leans in and talks to Nate.
CBS

Audra says she wasn’t in the mood. She says Nikki had the nerve to offer her a position in London, and Nikki fired her when she refused to take it. She says offering her support to Nikki ended up biting her in the ass. She says she only wanted to help, but Nikki saw her as a threat.

Nate asks if Nikki had been drinking when she fired her.

Audra says she was sober when she fired her but doesn’t know if she had anything to drink any other time that day. She says Nikki used her recovery as an excuse to fire her and reminded her of the NDA she signed because Nikki was terrified Audra would spill her secret… Which she wouldn’t, of course.

Nate Hastings.
CBS

Nate nods. He says he’s sorry and that it’s a loss for Nikki and Newman Media.

Audra says at least she’s free of the Newmans. In their little world, only blood matters. She says she should have learned after what they did to Nate. Audra recounts that Victor offered her a position at Newman Enterprises to make up for it… As if she’d waste her time with them!

Nate says she’s a free agent with a stellar resume. He hopes she’ll do better than trying to take down Tucker from the inside at Glissade; Tucker is already suspicious of her!

Audra and Nate talk.
CBS

Audra says Tucker thinks everyone is obsessed with him and is out to get him.

Nate says Audra is out to get him. He understands that she wants the world and will do anything to get it, but screwing with Tucker is not the way. He asks if she’s reconsidered and taken his advice not to go after Tucker.

Audra says she heard his advice and backing off would be smart, but she disagrees.

Nate looks upset.
CBS

Nate says Audra’s too close to the matter, and Tucker will use it against her. She’ll never get a chance to hijack Glissade and probably will get hurt, and Nate doesn’t want that.

Audra tells Nate to have faith that she can do it.

Nate says she’s brilliant, but she’s setting herself up for a massive fall.

Audra and Nate.
CBS

Nick says he has a personal life. He’s good!

Victor talks to his son.
CBS

Victor says it’s important to have someone in his life to lean on in good times and bad.

Nick says not everyone can be as lucky as Victor and Nikki. He’s happy to work with his father and make Newman Enterprises the best it can be.

Victor’s glad to hear it. It makes him happy that they’re working together, too. It means a lot to him.

Nicholas Newman.
CBS

Crimson Lights

Cole joins Victoria in the coffee shop. He sits down and asks what she wants to talk to him about.

Victoria tells him there’s been a fire at Jordan’s prison. She says some people were trapped and killed, but there’s a possibility that some of the prisoners might have escaped.

Victoria talks to Cole Howard.
CBS

Cole is shocked. He asks if she’s heard anything about Jordan. Is she alive? Dead? Did she escape?

Victoria says they haven’t heard anything yet, but her father’s security team is on top of it.

Cole hopes Jordan is still behind bars. He says, as much as he hates to say it, the world would be safer without Jordan.

Cole talks with Victoria.
CBS

Victoria says they have to assume that Jordan is alive and she might be headed to Genoa City.

Cole says Nikki must be terrified by this news.

Victoria says Nikki doesn’t know yet and hopes she won’t find out. Victoria says she just came from seeing her mother, and she’s struggling; she fired her COO and has taken on all the work at Newman Media. Nikki said she could handle it, but Victoria thinks she’s stressed out and her sobriety is fragile, so the family decided not to tell Nikki about Jordan.

Victoria Newman and Cole Howard.
CBS

Cole asks if Claire knows.

Victoria says she doesn’t want Claire to regress by thinking that Jordan could get to her again. Claire’s nightmares have finally stopped; this is the last thing she needs to hear.

Cole says they can’t tell Claire until they have all the facts. Jordan’s chances of escaping from the fire are slim, so they need to stay positive.

Cole Howard and Victoria Newman.
CBS

Jabot Cosmetics

Kyle knocks on the office door and asks if his dad has a minute to talk.

Kyle talks to his father.
CBS

Jack says he does and invites Kyle in.

Kyle closes the door behind him and asks for a reality check… Did he overstep with his mom? She accused him of being passive-aggressive, but he’s only trying to help.

Jack thinks Diane is more concerned about her insecurities and doesn’t think Kyle is trying to show her up… Kyle wouldn’t do that, right?

Jack Abbott talks to his son.
CBS

Kyle says they know his mom is new to the position, and he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with offering a helping hand while she gets used to her role.

Jack says he appreciates Kyle’s concern, but Diane can develop into the role herself.

Kyle says he knows his place, and he’ll back off.

Kyle Abbott.
CBS

Society

Audra tells Nate he should take her up on her offer to join her and Tucker. How can he resist?

Nate says he already told her… No amount of fun or profit makes messing with Tucker worth it.

Nate talks to Audra.
CBS

Audra says Nate must be happy to warm the bench at the family company instead of taking a chance at something bigger and better. He used to be braver and more interesting!

Nate says he knows Audra is good, but it’s a mistake to think she can win against Tucker.

Audra thanks him for his “support.” She tells him to stop underestimating her like the Newmans, the Abbotts, Tucker, and everyone else in town. She says he can sit on the sidelines and watch her pull it off. She’ll land on top where she belongs!

Audra talks to Nate.
CBS

Crimson Lights

Victoria tells Cole she’s already thought about what would happen if Jordan had escaped and how it would affect her mother and Claire. She asks Cole how he stays so calm.

Cole says he works with the facts. Nikki and Claire are protected, and the security team is on top of things. They’ve beaten Jordan so far; there’s no reason to think she’ll outsmart them.

Cole and Victoria.
CBS

Victoria thinks it must be difficult for Cole to deal with a “lifetime of madness” in his family.

Cole says it’s humbling. He thought he’d gotten away from it, but he’s right in the middle again. He says Claire didn’t inherit his mother and aunt’s insanity; she got twisted into knots and might have stayed that way, but she met Victoria. He says Claire has more of Victoria in her than she has of Cole, and that’s a sign that Claire will be okay one day.

Victoria takes Cole’s hand. She says there’s no bad in Cole; none of this is his fault.

Victoria holds Cole's hand.
CBS

  1. Nikki just finished reading that Jordan’s prison had a fire and she may still be alive. Of course, Nikki will call Jack, and Jack will tell her to try to get Audra back ASAP.

If Jordan is alive, Nikki knows she will come after her and Claire. She will regret firing Audra, as I think she would be a big help to her especially now. Good Luck, Nikki !!! Between Jack and Audra, they got your back covered !!
