Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Nikki learned of Jordan’s potential prison escape, while Victoria and Cole agreed to hide it from Claire.
Jabot Cosmetics
Jack calls Traci and leaves a voicemail asking how things are going with her and Ashley in Paris. He ends the call and prepares to leave his office.
As Jack opens the door, Nikki was preparing to walk in. Nikki stumbles into Jack and falls into his arms.
Nikki says, “Oops.”
Daniel’s Apartment
Lucy walks into the living room and tries to get her dad’s attention, but he’s lost in thought. She prods him, and he snaps out of it. She tells him he forgot.
Daniel says, “Forgot what?” He says he was busy working and didn’t hear her.
Lucy says he’s not busy… He was staring into space!
Daniel closes his laptop and says she has his undivided attention.
Lucy says he’s always asking her to talk about her feelings, so she only thinks it’s fair if he tells her why he’s been grumpy all morning! She says he forgot that she didn’t have school that day, and they were going to a gallery show.
Daniel says, “Oh. Yeah. Right.”
Lucy scoffs and says he sounds just like her mom… Lucy asked her mom if she was still coming with them, and she said the exact same thing.
Daniel asks if Heather is still coming.
Lucy says she’s not sure. She says her mom told her to ask Daniel, which is weird.
Daniel says it’s not weird; Heather knows he’s busy with work, so maybe she wants to take Lucy alone.
Lucy says it’s not about work. She asks if they fought.
There’s a knock at the door. Daniel jumps up and opens the door. It’s Heather.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker picks up his phone and calls Ashley’s phone. He leaves a voicemail. “Bonjour, Ashley. I know where you are and what you’re doing.”
The Paris Cafe
Traci and Ashley enter the cafe.
Ashley looks uncomfortable as she recalls her fight with Tucker, where he smashed a glass and threw a chair on the floor.
Traci asks if she’s okay… Is she sure she wants to go through with this?
Ashley says she needs proof of what happened between her and Tucker.
Traci says Ashley doesn’t need to prove herself to anyone about anything.
Ashley thinks Traci is trying to talk her out of it.
Traci says she’s not trying to talk her out of it. She’s there for Ashley and whatever she needs.
Ashley says she needs it to end. She’s happy that Traci is there. She needs a witness to confirm her version of what happened so she can tell Tucker to stop gaslighting her, and she can get him out of her head.
Traci says she understands but doesn’t like the look in Ashley’s eyes.
Ashley’s phone pings with a voicemail notification from Tucker. Traci tells her to ignore it, but Ashley listens to his message.
“Bonjour, Ashley. I know where you are and what you’re doing. I’m trying to stay out of it but can’t. I hope you’re at the bistro right now because there’s no question of what the staff will tell you. I’m dying to know how you react to the truth when you come face-to-face with reality.”
Ashley swears.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Tucker walks down the stairs and sees Kyle sitting at the bar in the dining room. He sits at the bar near Kyle and asks how Kyle’s family is.
Kyle tells him it’s none of his business.
Tucker says Kyle’s obviously not a morning person.
Kyle says he has a question for Tucker… How’s Glissade? He figures breaking in a new board of directors must be tough.
Tucker says everything is good with the new board members.
Kyle wonders how much Tucker had to pay the new board members to sign on.
Tucker laughs and says loyalty is its own reward.
Kyle doubts buying their loyalty will keep them around for long.
Tucker says he loves it when Kyle, the boy who almost turned on his daddy, gets high and mighty about loyalty.
Kyle says he was an idiot for joining Tucker and Audra. He let his anger get the better of him, but he learned from it. He remembered that money and power weren’t important, but family is.
Tucker nods sagely.
Kyle says Tucker will always be a toxic mess, and when his new board walks away from him, Glissade will crash and burn just like everything else in Tucker’s life.
Newman Enterprises
Victor is on the phone with the head of his security team. He’s very agitated and yelling into the phone. He says he doesn’t want to wait for answers from the authorities; they need to do their own damn investigation! He says they must find out what happened to “that Jordan woman.”
Victor tells the security head that he needs to know if Jordan died in the fire, is still incarcerated, or whether she’s on the loose. He yells at the man to let him know as soon as possible. He slams the phone down on his desk.
Jabot Cosmetics
Jack helps Nikki to a chair and closes the office door.
Nikki apologizes and says she didn’t know where to go.
Jack says he’s glad she came and asks how she got there.
Nikki says she didn’t drive if that’s what he’s asking. She says she’s stupid enough to take a drink but not stupid enough to get behind the wheel. She didn’t want her driver to smell the booze on her breath and tell Victor about it, so she used a rideshare. She says Victor would be so kind and so understanding about it, but she hates that she’d be a burden to him.
Jack says Nikki’s not a burden to anyone; Victor loves her.
Nikki says she was fine and was ready to work, but then…
Jack asks what triggered her drinking.
Nikki says she’ll show him. She fumbles as she pulls out her phone and drops it on the floor, and Jack helps her retrieve it. Nikki shows him the article.
Jack reads it out loud. “A massive fire at the South Coast Women’s Correctional Facility in Oregon has led to several fatalities. It’s unknown if unaccounted-for prisoners are deceased or have escaped.”
For all they know, Nikki says Jordan could have escaped and be in Genoa City now. She says Jordan is responsible for her lack of sobriety. She recants and says Jordan isn’t responsible… She is. She tells Jack she doesn’t know if she can make it this time; every little thing rattles her.
Jack says this type of news would get to anybody.
Nikki says maybe it would, but it wouldn’t give them an excuse to drink. She says Jordan terrifies her and could be on her way to get her again. She says she just wanted one drink to make things better, but it only made things worse.
Jack nods. He says drinking can do that, but she came to him knowing that he wouldn’t judge her, and he won’t enable her either. He’s glad she came to see him.
Daniel’s Apartment
Heather tells Daniel she hopes he doesn’t mind her dropping by.
Daniel shakes his head. Not at all!
Lucy asks if they’re still on for the gallery show.
Heather says Lucy should talk to her father about it.
Lucy says something is “going on” with them… She asks what’s up.
Heather and Daniel stumble over each other to be the first to answer. “Nothing!” Heather says she’s been busy at work and is on a deadline.
Lucy says that’s what her dad said, too… He’s on a deadline. She says she doesn’t believe either one of them.
Daniel reassures Lucy that everything is fine.
Lucy says her mom never mentioned dropping by when they talked earlier.
Heather says she wanted to talk to Daniel about work and didn’t think it was something she needed to tell Lucy about. She needs to talk to him in private.
Lucy says now she knows something is up. She won’t give up on this until they tell her!
Heather says she knows it’s not a school day, but Lucy must surely have some homework.
Daniel agrees and tells Lucy to do some homework while they talk.
Lucy grumbles and leaves the room.
Jabot Cosmetics
Jack brings Nikki a glass of water and tells her to drink up. He asks her to tell him what’s in her head right now.
Nikki says she feels shame and helplessness and can’t help but worry about Jordan. She was so proud of herself this morning; she had everything under control because of Jack. It was another sober day under her belt… But then she got cocky, and that was her mistake; a single headline caused her to head for the vodka, and one drink became three. She used to be stronger!
Jack says Nikki is strong. She made the right decision when she walked in his door, and that one decision means she’ll beat it.
Nikki says she knows she’s supposed to avoid triggers like Jordan, but she can’t ignore it when it’s in her head and in her dreams.
Jack says the chances of Jordan escaping are minimal… She could have been a casualty of the fire. Even if Jordan was stupid enough to come back to Genoa City, Victor’s security team would protect Nikki from her.
Nikki says she knows it logically, but her “beast” finds a way to feed itself. She’s terrified that she’ll walk out on the street and see Jordan there.
Jack says she needs to fight back; she needs to want to recover.
Nikki says she wants it. She just needs to be strong enough.
Jack says they need to set her up for success; she needs something to make her stronger right now.
Nikki asks if he will make her eat vending machine pretzels again.
Jack laughs and says he was thinking more of bad coffee and stale donuts. They’re going to an AA meeting together! She’s not the first member to show up less than sober, and she won’t be the last. He holds out his hand, and Nikki takes it.
The GCAC Dining Room
Tucker tells Kyle the Abbotts are so self-righteous. He says the new board members aren’t scared of the scandal… It makes them feel like the company is in strong hands!
Kyle says Tucker scraped the bottom of the barrel to find people who are as unethical as he is… That always ends well!
Tucker grins and says he’ll take the odds. He asks how Kyle’s “family first crap” is working out for him. Wasn’t he passed over for the co-CEO spot for the second time?
Kyle says he’s exactly where he wants to be.
Tucker disagrees. He says all Kyle had to do was stick with Audra and him, and Kyle would be calling the shots right now instead of toeing the family line.
Kyle says he’d rather be at Jabot doing things the right way instead of being elsewhere and doing things the wrong way.
Tucker grins and says Kyle couldn’t be more naive if he tried.
The Paris Cafe
Ashley tells Traci that Tucker is so predictable. He’s baiting her!
Traci tells Ashley they should do it another day. She says they should walk around Paris and shop while enjoying croissants.
Ashley says she’s put it off long enough and needs answers. She sees the waiter who served them that day and asks if he speaks English.
The waiter answers in English and says he’s American.
Ashley asks if he remembers her.
The waiter says he does; she was there a few months ago.
Ashley asks if he remembers her companion that day.
The waiter asks if she means the gentleman who was “very angry.”
Ashley grins and asks if the waiter remembers anything specific about Tucker’s behavior that day.
The waiter says he was rude and made a big commotion. He felt bad for Ashley because of the way Tucker left her.
Ashley thanks him. She says the way Tucker threw the glass, broke it and tossed the chair aside was embarrassing… Right?
The waiter says he doesn’t remember a broken glass or an overturned chair. He remembers Tucker getting loud and making a scene before storming out.
Ashley says that’s not what happened; the waiter isn’t remembering it correctly.
The waiter says he remembers it perfectly. He excuses himself to take care of another table.
Ashley tells Traci she remembers what happened and knows what she saw.

The GCAC Dining Room
Tucker says Kyle’s mother abandoned him and pretended she was dead, but now she’s returned and was given the co-CEO job instead of Kyle. He thinks that must drive Kyle crazy.
Kyle says he suggested his mother for the role. He wouldn’t expect Tucker to understand or respect the satisfaction of working with family.
Tucker says he saw Kyle’s ambition when he was on board with him and Audra, but at the last second, Kyle chickened out just like Ashley.
Kyle tells Tucker to leave Ashley out of it.
Tucker says he’ll mention Ashley all he wants. He tells Kyle he’ll never be a player until he steps out of his father’s shadow… Until he does, he will never take a chance on anything! Tucker says he’s going to get his coffee elsewhere. He gets up and leaves.
Daniel’s Apartment
Heather tells Daniel that Lucy can tell there’s something up with them… Does he think she suspects the truth?
Lucy is listening from the other side of the door.
Daniel asks how Lucy could suspect the truth.
Heather feels like they’re keeping a secret. She knows that he wants to tell Lily about them, and she respects that. She wants that, too. Heather says she’s not comfortable living a lie. Is he going to tell Lucy?
Daniel says there’s no easy answer.
Heather disagrees. She says they love each other and found their way back to each other… They can be a real family again, and they’ve lost so much time already; she doesn’t want to lose any more!
On the other side of the door, Lucy grins as she hears this.
Daniel says he doesn’t want to lose any more time either.
Heather says he decided to put their relationship on hold, and she’s been up all night trying to figure out where they go from here. She’s crazy in love with him and can’t stand being close to him without being able to kiss him.
Daniel says he was up all night asking himself the same questions, and this isn’t easy to say, but…
Heather asks if he’s stepping back from what happened between them.
Daniel says he’s not backing away from what happened; he wants them to be a family again as much as Heather does. He will spend the rest of his life making up for their lost time because of his “stupidity.”
Heather asks why she hears a “but.”
Daniel says he cheated on Lily, no matter how good it felt. He can’t continue disrespecting her by doing it behind her back.
Heather asks why he won’t fly to California to tell Lily about them.
Daniel says he wants to, but the timing is off. Devon told him Lily was having a hard time with Mattie, and Daniel doesn’t think it’s fair to dump it on Lily and break off their relationship out of the blue. He’s grateful that Devon is letting him be the one who tells Lily.
Heather says Daniel’s honorable, but she hates it right now.
Daniel says he’s trying to do the right thing for everyone involved. He says he’d love nothing more than to spend every night with her in his arms, but he can’t; he’d hate himself.
Heather says she can’t be so close to him and be unable to touch him. Where does that leave them?
An AA Meeting
Nikki and Jack are at an AA meeting. Nikki explains to the group that she thought she was making progress, but she slipped again today. Every time it happens, she feels like she’s falling into an abyss and is too weak to climb out.
Nikki says she’s beaten it before and will beat it again.
Nikki tells the group she will fight the demons and find the courage to keep fighting. She will win with the help of her family, friends, and her sponsor.
Jack smiles encouragingly at her.
A Paris Cafe
Traci tells Ashley it can be easy to get confused when you’re arguing and emotions run high.
Ashley shouts that she’s not confused. She realizes she’s raised her voice and repeats it quietly. She says Tucker was violent, and she was terrified. The waiter is either wrong or he’s lying.
Traci can’t get a word in edgewise.
Ashley tells Traci that Tucker knew she was at the restaurant and knew exactly what the waiter would say… How would Tucker know that unless he bribed the waiter to lie to her? She says Tucker would do anything to win and torture her in the process.
Ashley sees the waiter and strides over to him, demanding to know how much Tucker McCall paid him to lie.
The waiter shakes his head and assures Ashley he told her the truth. He walks away.
Traci tells Ashley they should leave the cafe.
Ashley says she needs to be alone. She walks away, and Traci follows her, calling out.
Daniel’s Apartment
Daniel tells Heather that the important thing to remember is that they’ll be a family again.
Heather says it could be weeks or months until Daniel finds the courage to tell Lily.
Daniel says he wouldn’t ask her to wait that long.
Heather says their daughter is very intuitive; how long do they think they can keep it from her? Will they ask their daughter to lie for them? Lucy has wanted them back together for so long!
Daniel laughs and says Lucy was very subtle… She couldn’t live without her mom’s grilled cheese sandwiches or asking her mom over for pancakes!
Heather says Lucy knows they’re meant to be together.
Daniel says they are… They will be.
Heather asks if he’s going to start overthinking it and back out.
Daniel says he’s committed to them. He tells Heather he loves her, but he needs to be fair to Lily, and he needs her to accept that.
Heather says she’s always loved his kindness, and she doesn’t want to be selfish, but she is. She says her heart goes out to Lily, but she finally has the man she fell in love with back again. She doesn’t want to risk anything, even for a second!
Daniel says she’s not risking anything. He kisses her and tells her she needs to be patient.
Heather whispers that she’s never been a patient woman.
Daniel chuckles and says he knows, but this time…
Heather nods. She says Daniel will tell Lily when he thinks she’s ready, and she’ll be waiting for the second they can live their lives as a family again.
Daniel smiles, and they kiss tenderly.
Lucy dances silently when she hears her parents kiss… Until she bumps into the door, closing it.
Daniel calls out that Lucy can come out of hiding. She’s busted!
Lucy opens the door and walks in, looking excited. She says she knew this would happen; they still loved each other! They’re lucky she’s not subtle… Who knows when they would have figured it out? She can’t believe it’s actually happening! She calms down a bit and says they’re together, but… Not exactly?
Heather and Daniel agree… Not exactly together.
Daniel says they’re not together until he tells Lily. It’s not ideal, but he needs to respect Lily’s feelings.
Lucy understands. She asks if they can have dinner together and do “family stuff.”
Daniel says they have to lay low for now, but they can do family stuff.
Lucy cries out that she loves them so much. Group hug!
Paris / Crimson Lights
Ashley calls Tucker.
Tucker answers. “Ashley! Bonjour!”
Ashley tells Tucker he’s the most disgusting, repulsive piece of scum she’s ever known.
Tucker grins and says it sounds like she’s enjoying Paris.
Ashley says Tucker paid off the waiter.
Tucker laughs and says she busted him; he paid off the waiter! He shakes his head and gets serious. He says that what she keeps accusing him of in Paris never happened. There was no breaking of wineglasses, no throwing of a chair, and no violence. Those are the facts, and Ashley needs to accept them!
Ashley says she knows him and what he’s capable of. She knows how angry he is, and he’s trying to make her think she’s crazy as some sick form of revenge!
Tucker says he’s trying to make her see the truth.
Ashley says she’s not delusional.
Tucker says she can call it what she wants, but there’s reality, and then there’s whatever universe she’s living in.
Ashley doesn’t respond.
Tucker calls her name, but there’s no answer.
A Paris Cafe
Traci approaches the waiter and asks if her sister had returned.
The waiter shakes his head. She didn’t.
Traci calls Jack but is directed to voicemail. She leaves a message, saying that Jack might want to sit down for this… Ashley has disappeared.
Traci says that they talked to the waiter who was there that night, and he remembered things the way Tucker had said, not the story that Ashley told… Tucker wasn’t violent that night. She tells Jack she’s worried about Ashley and asks him to call her if he hears from her.
Newman Media
Nikki tells Jack she doesn’t know what she would have done without him… The meeting helped.
Jack smiles and says he’s just a phone call away. Everyone can use a reminder of how strong they are; Nikki proved that today.
Nikki says she drank that day.
Jack says she’s sober now and clear-headed.
Nikki says she’s ready to face the world.
Jack smiles. He says he’s happy to drive her home.
Nikki shakes her head. She says she needs to be at the office. Work is a good distraction from the noise in her head. She thanks him for everything he’s done for her; he’s given her hope that she can beat it.
They hug.
Jack says she can do it… He’s just glad he can help! He turns around to leave her office, but Victor is standing in the door.
Victor asks what Jack is doing there.

How long does it take to send Nikki to an expensive rehab. We are tired of this story and I’m going to stop watching for a while. Move on!!!!!!
