On the last episode of Y&R, Devon & Abby moved into the Chancellor Estate, Sally told Nick her feelings for Adam have changed, and Chelsea accepted Summer’s proposition.
Crimson Lights
Mariah walks up to Kyle and asks if he’s ignoring her. He hasn’t returned her calls or texts.
Kyle says he hasn’t been ignoring her… What’s up?
Society
Summer talks on the phone, saying that Chelsea is taking the creative director position. She’s really excited as she ends the call.
She takes a sip of her martini.
Abby walks up to Summer and says she heard Summer and Kyle had split up.
Summer tells Abby she doesn’t need to hear she screwed up from anyone else.
Abby says she’s there to hug her, and she does just that.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Jack asks if Nikki’s waiting for Victor.
Nikki says she’s just enjoying the atmosphere and the music. She asks him to sit.
Jack sits down, and Nikki says he looks like he could use a break. She asks how he’s doing. Does he have the board behind him?
Jack gets defensive and asks if Nikki is digging for information instead of having a friendly chat. He wonders what she’s really after.
Nikki looks confused.
Jabot Cosmetics
Diane walks into the office and says hello to Billy.
She asks Billy to go for a drink, but he’d rather have one at the office.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley walks in and sees that Tucker has put roses all over the living room.
Tucker opens a bottle of champagne and says they have much to celebrate. They’re in love.
Ashley smiles and asks, “Is that so?”
Crimson Lights
Mariah asks Kyle why he didn’t tell her he was leaving Marchetti.
Kyle says it wasn’t his idea to resign, but Jack chose Summer over Kyle when they separated.
Mariah says she can’t believe Jack would kick Kyle out of the company.
Kyle says he’s separated from Summer too.
Mariah says she’s sorry, for his sake.
Kyle says she doesn’t need to be sorry.
Mariah thinks Kyle is still in love with Summer.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Nikki is upset and asks Jack if he believes she’d have ulterior motives regarding their friendship.
She gets up to leave, and Jack apologizes.
Nikki says she’s not Leanna Love looking for a scoop; she’s there as a friend.
Jack says he’s been betrayed a lot lately and has problems trusting people.
Nikki sits down and says that Jack’s paranoid and hurt that Ashley is leaving Jabot.
Jack says he only found out about it the same way that Nikki did… By reading the press release.
The Abbott Mansion
Tucker says Ashley can’t bring herself to say the “L” word. He says part of it must be the pleasure of teasing him.
Ashley says he likes to be teased.
Tucker says Ashley is still looking for proof that he’s the “old Tucker”. He asks when she will stop waiting for his behavior to revert.
Jabot Cosmetics
Billy tells Diane she’s got his interest. He asks her to sit and pours a couple of drinks for them both.
Diane thanks Billy for not taking Ashley’s side at the “family meeting”, and wonders if Billy thought that Diane would destroy Jabot like Ashley did.
Billy says he’s been in the same position as Diane, where everyone was against him, and he doesn’t think Diane is out to destroy Jabot.
Diane says she’s worried about Jack and doesn’t want him involved in the “battle” with Ashley and Tucker.
Billy asks if Diane is asking him to do the dirty work instead of Jack.
Society
Abby asks Summer if she’s talking with Kyle.
Summer says Kyle doesn’t trust her… She made a mistake and doesn’t know if she can get Kyle back.
Abby says she’s been through similar situations and she offers Summer a sympathetic ear to talk to any time she feels like it.
Summer smiles and says she’d like to talk about anything but Kyle.
Abby understands. She asks Summer to tell her what’s happening at Marchetti lately.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Jack tells Nikki that Ashley left their father’s company, and they’ve always had a contentious relationship.
Nikki says that Jack and Ashley can overcome the rift that’s open between them over Diane.
Jack isn’t sure. He says Ashley seems to be targeting him, and Tucker is behind it all. He thinks Tucker is using Ashley’s hatred for Diane to come after Jack and Jabot.
Nikki asks if there’s anything she can do to help.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley tells Tucker she may be testing him on an unconscious level, but they’ve reached an understanding that it’s a transactional agreement between them. She says he’s acting like a baby and needs to go along with her and have fun.
Tucker says Ashley is depriving herself of joy by not allowing herself to love him.
Ashley says she may not want to… What if this is as good as it’s going to get?
Jabot Cosmetics
Diane tells Billy she’s not suggesting that he do anything unethical.
Billy raises an eyebrow and says Diane sought him out for a conversation that Jack doesn’t know about… That tells him a lot.
Diane says that she’s going to lay her cards on the table.
Billy tells her he wants all the cards.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Jack tells Nikki he doesn’t know how she can help, but her friendship means the world to him.
Nikki says his friendship means a lot to her as well. She looks at Neil’s portrait and says she misses Neil too.
Jack says that Nikki always honors Neil by never chastising him about his relationship with Diane.
Nikki says that took a lot of willpower and tongue-biting.
Jabot Cosmetics
Billy tells Diane he wants to protect his father’s legacy and wonders what’s in it for Diane.
Diane says her loyalties are to Jack, and she’s trying to protect him.
Billy says Jack doesn’t need protecting.
Diane says Jack crossed some lines to protect her from Jeremy Stark, and she wants to protect Jack from having to cross more lines in his war with Ashley and Tucker.
Billy says Ashley & Tucker’s company will fizzle out before it starts.
Diane asks Billy what happens if the company doesn’t fail right away.
Billy says he’ll fight like hell with Tucker if he and Ashley try to hurt Jabot… Nobody is going to mess with his father’s legacy!
The Abbott Mansion
Tucker looks dejected and says he has a transactional relationship with a steel-hearted woman.
Ashley says she doesn’t have a steel heart; she has a protected heart and for a good reason. She asks him to pour a glass of champagne before discussing what’s next on their agenda.
Tucker pours a glass of champagne.
Ashley clinks glasses with him and says, “Here’s to pulling the rug out from under Jabot one employee at a time!”
Tucker reluctantly takes a sip of his champagne at Ashley’s urging.

Crimson Lights
Mariah says Kyle’s mother was framed for murder, his mother-in-law faked her death, he’s separated from his wife, and he’s lost his job.
Kyle says he got another job already but it wasn’t handed to him because of his name. He says it’s his chance to prove himself. He tells Mariah that he’s proud to work there.
Mariah asks who his employer is at his new “dream job”.
Kyle says his job is at Newman Media, working with Audra Charles.
Mariah can’t believe he’s working for Noah’s ex. She says his family’s company meant everything to him… His license plate is even JABOT1.
Kyle asks why everyone thinks they know what’s best for him.
Society
Abby tells Summer she had no idea that Ashley was starting her own company.
Summer says one thing she’s glad of is not having to deal with the tension between people in the Abbott Mansion anymore. She asks what Abby will do if there’s a board vote called.
Abby isn’t sure what she’d do… She can’t vote against Jack or Ashley. She’d have to abstain.
Summer says not voting makes a statement; Ashley must pick a side.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Jack asks Nikki if she’s coming around about Diane.
Nikki laughs and says she can’t forgive Diane for framing her for murder. She says she’s tired of wasting her time and energy on Diane.
Jack says he understands her point of view, but Nikki has to know he’s happy with Diane.
Nikki says he seems happy; he lights up at Diane’s name.
Jack says Diane has changed and deserves a chance at her new life, and he’ll be damned if Ashley wants to take it from him.
Nikki says Ashley may not be trying to take his life away from him; maybe she’s putting distance between herself and Diane to try to save the family.
The Abbott Mansion
Tucker thinks it sounds boring to poach Jabot’s staff one by one. He wants to get Simply Ashley (their new company) up and running.
Ashley says they’ll lure Jabot’s staff away with more money and better positions, and they have to make the employees hate and mistrust Diane as much as they love Jack.
She says she may be unable to save her brother from Diane, but at least she’ll save the company from her.
Jabot Cosmetics
Diane talks with Billy about saving Jabot and Jack from Ashley and Tucker.
Billy says she shouldn’t worry about the company and Jack… Doesn’t she need to get ready for her wedding?
Diane says she’s got everything under control.
Billy asks if Diane is regretting taking on her new job right before the wedding, as it’s a lot to handle at once.
Diane wonders why he’s so interested in her wedding ceremony.
Billy says he will urge her to do something in Jack and Jabot’s best interests… He suggests she resign from Jabot.
The Abbott Mansion
Tucker clarifies with Ashley that they plan to “sic Phyllis on Diane” and weaken Jabot.
Ashley says Diane will do something stupid, and Simply Ashley will be up and running with the former employees of Jabot to take advantage of their weakness.
Tucker says Ashley is ruthless.
Ashley tries to kiss him, but he backs off and says she should admit she’s in love with him.
Crimson Lights
Kyle tells Mariah she should leave Jabot.
Mariah thinks he’s overreacting and wants her to leave her job to spite Summer.
Kyle says there’s trouble brewing at the company, and Mariah needs to get out before something happens.
Mariah says she’s not looking for that kind of upheaval in her life.
Kyle tells her good luck.
He gets up and leaves.
Mariah sits there, disbelief written on her face.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Nikki asks Jack how far he’d go to save Diane and Jabot.
Jack says he’ll go to any lengths.
Nikki says that Jack needs to worry about Kyle and Harrison. She says that Jack shouldn’t provoke Tucker.
Jack says that’s why this is so important to him… He has to stop Ashley from going through with a sham marriage to a fraud.
Jabot Cosmetics
Diane tells Billy that he’s wanted to get her out of Jabot all along and he must be working with Ashley.
Billy says that he’s not working with Ashley and that Jack wouldn’t approve of the suggestion to quit unless he thought it was Diane’s idea.
Diane says that if she gave up her job, Ashley would win. She says that Ashley and Tucker are waiting for her to screw up.
Billy says she should back up and look at the big picture. If she removes herself from the company, things won’t have to get ugly between Ashley and Jabot.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley asks Tucker for a refill of her champagne.
Tucker says he wants to hear that she loves him before he gives her any more.
Ashley says he talks too much and actions should count more than words.
She kisses him, grabs the bottle of champagne and their glasses, and walks up the stairs, gesturing for him to follow.
Tucker sits and looks dejected.
Jabot Cosmetics
Billy tells Diane that Jack gave her the job as a gift.
Diane says she took years to get to where she was, it wasn’t just given to her.
Billy says she should walk away to avoid escalation with Ashley, which would be the way to do it with the least bloodshed.
Jack walks in and asks what they’re doing there so late.
Diane says they were discussing how Billy doesn’t think that Ashley and Tucker present a threat to Jabot.
Jack says Billy’s wrong and wonders whether Billy will fight for the company.
Billy says when it comes to Jack and the company, he’ll do what needs to be done. Always.

This story line is boring! The writers need to do better and stop dragging plots out.
If Diane has a plot that will hurt Jack please make it happen sooner then later. And that mess with Kyle and Summer is a mess!! I am at the point to stop watching Y & R.
All the people that threatened to leave if the show doesn’t do what they want are not fans of the show! # Bye
