Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Victor asked for Claire’s help to trap Jordan, Adam sought Nick’s advice about Sally, and Victoria saw Claire’s softer side.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack comes downstairs and asks Ashley how she is.
Ashley says she was going in to work, but she’s not so sure now… Is Jack worried about her?
Jack asks what’s on her mind.
Ashley asks if Traci told him that Ashley isn’t sure what’s real and what isn’t.
Jack says Traci didn’t exactly say it that way.
Ashley wonders if Traci told Jack that Tucker has finally succeeded in breaking her.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Victoria enters the dining room and sits down with Cole.
Cole notices she seems upset. He asks what’s going on.
Victoria tells him that, as usual, her father has gone too far.
Cole says her father is Victor Newman… A man known for going too far. What has he done this time?
Victoria says that Victor will do anything to get Jordan. She’s fine if he uses himself as bait, but he’s using Claire as bait now! She says her father is putting Claire in Jordan’s line of fire.
Newman Enterprises
Adam tells Nick that he could use his help to convince their father to bring Sally’s business into Newman Enterprises.
Nick doesn’t think their dad will be okay with Adam’s plan.
Adam says that’s why Nick needs to convince their father it’s a good idea.
Nick asks what would happen to his investment into Sally’s company if they brought it under the Newman umbrella.
Adam says Newman would reimburse Nick… It’d be a big win for Nick since it’s probably the only way Nick will get his money back!
Nick laughs. He figures Adam wants to get Nick out of the way so there will be no ties between him and Sally.
Adam says Nick’s got him all wrong… This is strictly for Sally’s benefit!
Nick asks if Adam has talked to Sally about his plan. He doesn’t think Sally would want to work with Newman after how Victor treated her the last time.
Adam says Sally needs and deserves it; Nick must realize that, or he wouldn’t have invested in her company in the first place.
Nick says Adam doesn’t need to convince him… He has to convince their father!
Adam says their dad would love to see him and Nick be united about this.
Nick says Adam wants to use him to get to their dad.
Adam says he would have gone behind Nick’s back in the past.
Nick says he can’t do that this time because Adam needs him to get their father on board with this idea.
Adam says he might be able to successfully pitch it on his own, but Nick’s involvement would be valuable, and it makes good business sense.
Nick says the only people it needs to make sense to are Victor and Sally. He admits that Adam is onto something.
Victor enters the office and asks Nick and Adam if they need something from him.
Adam says he and Nick have something they want to talk about.
Newman Ranch / The Empty Glass Lounge
Nikki looks at her ringing phone. She knows the call is from Jordan.
Lauren tells her she doesn’t need to answer the phone. Nikki has said everything she needed to say to Jordan… It’s done!
Nikki doesn’t listen. She answers the phone. “What do you want?” She says she knows it’s Jordan and asks if she called to hear more about what a pathetic human being she is.
Jordan responds. She’s wearing a wig and sitting in the Empty Glass Lounge. She tells Nikki that her last tirade must have been fueled by booze, giving her a false sense of bravado!
Nikki says she hasn’t had a single drink all day… This is what she’s like sober, and she’s getting stronger every day! She says Jordan’s plan to destroy her has failed.
Jordan doesn’t think Nikki has regained a grip on her sobriety. She says Nikki should show her how strong she is… They need to take it to the next level and confront each other face-to-face!
Nikki says she won’t be intimidated. If Jordan wants to meet face-to-face, it will be on Nikki’s turf!
Lauren gestures at her to get Jordan to the ranch.
Nikki says Jordan should come to the ranch, and they can end it once and for all.
Jordan laughs. She says she’s not stupid like Nikki; she wouldn’t fall into an obvious trap. She’s sure the ranch is teeming with security right now.
Nikki tells her to come and see for herself.
Jordan says she might have already. Maybe she’s closer than Nikki thinks!
Newman Enterprises
Victor asks his sons what they need from him.
Nick says he wants an update on Jordan before they get to Adam’s idea.
Victor says he’ll reveal part of the plan. He thinks Jordan will come out of hiding because she is obsessed with her dead sister, Eve.
Nick asks how they’re supposed to bait Jordan if they don’t know where she is.
Victor says he feels Jordan won’t be able to resist contacting Claire.
Nick figures that Victor is planning to use Claire. He asks if Victoria knows about Victor’s plans… He can’t imagine she’d be okay with it.
Victor says Claire understands, even if Victoria doesn’t.
Adam says it seems risky.
Victor says he’s only asking Claire to take Jordan’s call and give her a message if she reaches out, and he doesn’t care if Victoria is against it. Victor is protecting Nikki and the family, and he’ll do whatever it takes!
The GCAC Dining Room
Victoria tells Cole she can’t believe her father would put Claire on the spot like he has; he knows how vulnerable she is!
Cole agrees and says that Claire’s emotional state is fragile. He asks if Claire agreed to take Jordan’s call and pass along Victor’s message.
Victoria says Claire agreed to go along with Victor’s plan.
Cole thinks the last thing Claire needs right now is to talk to Jordan. What if this triggers another setback?
Victoria agrees. She says Claire would want to make amends for what she put their family through, and her father used that to make Claire do what he wanted.
Cole says he can’t agree with Victor’s methods, but he understands his motivation. Victor will do whatever it takes to keep the people he loves safe. He hopes that includes Claire.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack sits beside Ashley and tells her that Tucker didn’t break her.
Ashley asks if Traci told him that she’s confused about what happened in Paris.
Jack says Traci is concerned that this ordeal has had such an effect on Ashley. He says he and Traci are both there for Ashley and want to help her. He doesn’t want to hear her say that Tucker has the power to break her; she’s much too strong for that!
Ashley says that anybody could have triggered a mental break in someone with her history. She tears up and says she’s not doing well.
Jack tells her that she needs to take some time off, and they’ll remind her of who she really is; she’s their courageous sister who’s ready to take anything on!
Ashley smiles and thanks Jack for being there for her but says she needs to do this alone.
Jack can’t disagree enough. Doing it alone is the last thing she needs!
Ashley says Jack doesn’t understand. Jack doesn’t know what she’s going through.
Jack says that’s why she needs to talk to him; they’ll figure this out together!
Ashley cries and says she’s scared. She’s worried that she did exaggerate things in Paris; maybe there was no smashed glass and thrown chair. She knows Tucker was angrier than she’d ever seen, and he frightened her.
Jack says he frightened her… She’s not to blame!
Ashley asks why her brain changed the glass that was knocked over to one that was thrown across the room.
Jack says it’s not on her. He thinks he might have some answers for her.
Newman Ranch / The Empty Glass Lounge
Lauren peeks out the window and whispers to Nikki that there’s only a security guard outside… No sign of Jordan!
Nikki tells Jordan she knows she’s bluffing… Jordan is probably holed up at some seedy motel outside of town and is afraid to show her face.
Jordan laughs and tells Nikki she couldn’t be more wrong.
Nikki tells Jordan that if she wants to meet, it will have to be on Nikki’s terms.
Jordan says Nikki doesn’t get to make the demands… She has nothing to bargain with!
Nikki laughs and says Jordan has nothing to bargain with either. The only thing Jordan has is the police looking for her, and she’s going to wind up back in prison.
Jordan says Nikki couldn’t be more wrong. She won’t go back to prison… At least she won’t until her unfinished business is finished!
Nikki says Jordan’s threats are boring her.
Jordan says she’ll make things a little more exciting for her; they’ll come face-to-face again, but Nikki will never see her coming.
Nikki tells her not to bet on it and disconnects the call. She tells Lauren that Jordan wants to meet but knows that security at the ranch is on high alert. She tells Lauren that Jordan told her to watch her back because Nikki won’t see her coming.
Lauren thinks it’s good that Nikki was able to say her piece to Jordan, but she thinks Nikki should have enlisted Victor’s help before engaging Jordan; Nikki knows Jordan is a loose cannon!
Nikki says Victor doesn’t want her to have any part of his plan to trap Jordan. Victor is too worried about her to think she could be any help.
Lauren says Victor has good reason to be worried about Jordan… She’s proven herself cunning and vicious, and every word she says to Nikki costs her.
Nikki says hearing Jordan’s voice wasn’t pleasant. She says they should leave the house and go to lunch so she can get Jordan out of her head.
Lauren has a better idea; why don’t they call Jack and have him drop by with lunch? They’ll stay at the ranch, have a lovely lunch, and won’t have to look over their shoulder for monsters!
Nikki agrees.

The Abbott Mansion
Jack tells Ashley that it’s outrageous that Tucker wanted her to walk away from her family. He thinks that her mind “decided to up the stakes,” and it was a natural reaction to Tucker’s manipulations. He thinks ending the marriage was the right move for Ashley; she needs to focus on that.
Jack continues and tells Ashley that Tucker never deserved her, and he thinks Tucker is just trying to get her to question her sanity.
Ashley nods. Jack’s right. She’s making too much of this! She should take their divorce as a win.
Jack nods. Exactly. His phone rings, and he excuses himself for a minute to take the call. He leaves the room.
Ashley gets up, gathers her things, and leaves the house.
The GCAC Dining Room
Victoria tells Cole that Victor has accepted Claire into the family. She says it was a really sweet moment.
Cole says he’s surprised… And touched.
Victoria says part of it was probably Victor trying to soften Claire up so she’d go along with his plan.
Cole says that might have been Victor’s motive, but he fiercely devotes himself to his family. He can see Victor accepting Claire for his own sake. He says putting Jordan back behind bars is their top priority, but he thinks it could give Claire some peace of mind to help capture Jordan.
Victoria asks if Cole thinks Claire should be a part of it.
Cole says it’ll be a relief for Claire to know that her aunt will never be able to take control of her life again. They should accept Claire’s word that she wants to be part of the plan… At the end of the day, it’s Claire’s decision, not theirs.
Victoria says she’ll never forgive her father if his plan causes Claire to backslide.
Newman Enterprises
Nick tells his father that they want their mom to be protected from Jordan’s insanity.
Adam nods. He says he and Nick are ready to help in whatever way Victor needs them to pull off his plan.
Nick says they’d be more effective if Victor shared the rest of the plan with them. What happens if Jordan does reach out to Claire… How does Victor intend to smoke her out after that?
Victor says he can’t get into it and asks what they want to discuss with them.
Adam tells his dad he’d offered to give Sally a design division but then pulled the rug out from under her… He wants Victor to revisit his decision.
Victor raises his eyebrows. “Really?”
Adam says Victor said that he pulled the offer so that they could focus on the Kirsten acquisition “mess.”
Victor remembers that the mess was partly caused by Adam.
Adam says that’s no longer a concern. He says Sally needs a boost to get her company to the next level.
Victor asks if Adam’s saying that Sally’s “little company” has already failed.
Adam says it’s hard to get a startup running smoothly, and maintaining it is even harder. She needs as much help as she can get to keep it growing.
Victor asks if Adam suggests folding Sally’s design firm into Newman.
Adam says he’s seen the quarterly numbers for Sally’s company, which look good, but the business has leveled off momentarily.
Victor asks why Sally has such a hold on his sons, both professionally and personally.
Adam says Sally is more than Victor ever wants to give her credit for, and he’d be the first to want to cut her loose if it nosedived, but he thinks the company could be a major asset, and he’s willing to bet it’s not going to fail.
The Abbott Limousine
Ashley is riding in the back of one of their cars. Jack sends her a message. “Where did you go? Are you all right?”
Ashley responds that she’s fine and had to get some air to clear her head. She promises she’ll be home soon.
Newman Ranch
Jack walks into the house, and Lauren thanks him for dropping by and picking up lunch. Jack’s phone pings with a notification, and he takes a look.
Lauren asks if everything’s okay.
Jack puts his phone away and says everything is fine. He asks how Nikki is.
Lauren says Nikki is freshening up after a bad morning. She says Nikki had a worse night, but she’ll let her tell him about it. She says Nikki wanted to go out to eat even after Victor told her to stay home, which sent up red flags for Lauren, and that’s why she called Jack.
Jack says Victor is hovering, and Nikki hates that.
Lauren says Victor has good reason; he’s worried about Nikki’s safety with Jordan on the loose. She thinks Nikki wanted to go out so she could sneak a drink.
Jack says Nikki is in pretty deep and wants to make the feelings disappear.
Lauren says she didn’t tell Nikki she suspected she wanted to drink but instead told her to call Jack. She hopes she did the right thing.
Jack says she did exactly the right thing, but he thinks he should probably have lunch with Nikki one-on-one so he can talk to her openly as her sponsor.
Lauren says that’s a good idea; she’ll make a graceful exit! Jack looks at his phone again, and Lauren asks if he’s okay.
Jack says he has some family concerns, but they seem to be settled for the moment. He promises that Nikki has his full attention.
Nikki enters the living room, looking happier and refreshed. She thanks Jack for coming out to the ranch.
Jack says he stopped by Society and picked up some of her favorites. He shows her the take-out bag.
Lauren makes an excuse about having to check something at Fenmore’s and Newman Media. She says she’ll have to miss lunch.
Nikki says Lauren is juggling two corporations… She understands!
Lauren hugs Nikki and leaves.
Jack says he’s glad Nikki reached out to him; he meant what he said about calling him anytime! He asks if Victor is getting used to the idea of him being her sponsor.
Nikki says Jack knows how Victor is… He’s waiting for Jack to screw up so he can prove he was right.
Jack says Victor is probably looking for any excuse to lay into Jack, but they won’t give him one. They’ll make this work! He asks what triggered Nikki to call him.
Nikki says Lauren knew she wanted to drink and suggested that Nikki should invite Jack over. She says Lauren thinks Jack can keep her away from the vodka.
Jack asks what put Nikki on the edge.
Nikki explains that Jordan had been calling and threatening her, so she called her back and told her that she’s not afraid of her.
Jack isn’t sure that was a wise move but asks what Jordan said.
Nikki says Jordan taunted and threatened her, but Nikki hung up. Jordan called her back, and things got worse.
Jack says he was afraid of that… It was pretty impulsive on Nikki’s part. He says sometimes an addict’s worst behavior can come out when they’re sober. Recklessness, risky decisions, and bad choices can all be symptoms of this.
Nikki says that’s not what this was. It’s making her crazy, knowing that Jordan is out there and ready to pounce.
Jack tells her she has to put that fear behind her; Victor has the house surrounded by guards!
Nikki knows, but Jordan’s last words got to her. She says Jordan told her that she’d never see her coming.
The GCAC Dining Room
Victoria thanks Cole for being there. She doesn’t think she would’ve been able to handle everything without him. She says he’s calm and supportive but not a pushover. He’s kind to her and Claire, and is the “strong and silent” type of man.
Cole says he’s glad he appears strong on the surface, but he’s pretty shaken up on the inside. Becoming a father to a daughter he’d mourned for years is still shocking to him.
Victoria smiles and says it feels a little surreal sometimes.
Cole nods. He says it’s the first thing he thinks about when he wakes up. He says he’s still trying to figure out how to be there for her. He thinks it’s wonderful that the baby they loved somehow survived. He hates that they missed her growing up.
Victoria says it breaks her heart that they missed their baby’s first steps or see her graduate.
Cole says he missed Claire’s whole life; he should have been there for her.
Victoria says he was cheated out of it. She thinks he would have been the best father. She says he’s a good man who came to the lake house because he received a text that was supposedly from her mother.
Cole says the text said that Victoria was sick and was asking for him… How could he not?
Victoria says she hasn’t forgotten that he just jumped on a plane and flew to Oregon for her, and she never will.
Newman Enterprises
Victor asks Adam if he wants to oversee Sally’s business directly.
Adam shakes his head and says Sally doesn’t need him looking over her shoulder. She has a much better handle on her business than Adam ever could.
Victor asks why Sally would need Newman if she’s such a good businesswoman.
Adam says it’s not hard to understand; there’d be a solid return on their investment. Isn’t that what business is all about?
Victor says he’s made his point, but he wants to have some time to talk it over with Nicholas.
Adam nods. He says it’s nice that Victor didn’t dismiss his idea immediately. He leaves the office and closes the door behind him.
Victor asks Nick what he thinks about the idea.
Nick says he funded Sally’s venture… Of course he’d like to see her succeed.
Victor nods. He says Sally would work closely with Adam; is Nick okay with that?
Nick says it’s fine. He’s moved on. He thinks it’s a good business, or he wouldn’t have invested in it in the first place. He thinks this will keep Adam happy, too, which will benefit everyone. He says Victor always wanted them working together at Newman Enterprises in “perfect harmony.” He says Sally is a good bet, and it’s a win/win situation.
In the lobby, Adam calls Sally and leaves a voicemail telling her to clear her schedule for this evening… He wants to take her out for dinner and has a surprise for her.
Nick steps out of the office and tells Adam to come back in… Victor wants to talk to him. They both go back into the office.
Victor tells Adam he understands why he thinks folding Sally’s business into Newman is a good move. He also understands why Nick would approve of this.
Adam says he’s glad Victor’s seeing things his way.
Victor says he’s saying no to the idea; he will never work with Sally Spectra professionally. He gets up, says he has another meeting to attend, and leaves the office.
Nick tells Adam he supported his idea and thought it was good, but he knew it was a long shot to get Victor to accept it.
Adam thanks Nick for putting in a good word. He’s disappointed, but he won’t give up.
Nick says Victor seemed pretty firm to him.
Adam thinks Victor is testing him; Victor wants to see how badly Adam wants this, and he will be surprised when Adam won’t take no for an answer.
Nick says he wouldn’t pressure their dad on this if he were Adam.
Adam says it’s a good thing Nick isn’t Adam.
The Abbott Limousine
Ashley gets a text message from Traci telling her she’s at home if she wants to talk. Ashley puts down her phone, ignoring the message.
There’s a sudden lurch and a crunch as the car is hit from behind.
Ashley flashes back to the time she was in an accident and lost her baby with Brad Carlton.
Newman Ranch
Jack tells Nikki that Jordan said she won’t see her coming to keep her on edge. He says the security team will see Jordan coming long before she gets near Nikki.
Nikki nods and says she’ll just have to put her faith in the security team.
Jack says he couldn’t make a long list of positive things about Victor, but he’s always admired his determination to protect his family… Nikki couldn’t be in safer hands.
Nikki agrees.
Jack says that Jordan will use Nikki’s alcoholism against her… Alcohol will make Nikki more vulnerable.
Nikki nods. She knows.
Jack says he knows that Nikki probably has the urge to drink to ease her nerves, but she’d be playing right into Jordan’s hands by doing so. Jordan is waiting for her to get sloppy; that’s the opening she’s waiting for.
Nikki says she understands. She’s not going to stumble again! She has no choice because, this time, her life could depend on it.
The Empty Glass Lounge
Seth sits at a table, drinking a beer.
He picks up his phone and reads a message from Nikki. “Wishing you luck on your sobriety. Sorry we had to end our sponsor relationship. Hope you’ve found the help you need.”
Seth puts down the phone, upset, and looks up to see Jordan smiling at him.

I’m sick of the Nikki Newman alcoholic theory 2 let Jordan get killed off the show Ashley is about to lose her mind anyway don’t send her over the edge. If they don’t drop the story of Nikki and Jordan I’m going to stop watching y&r because the writers are dumb
