Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Nikki & Victor figured out who was behind the mysterious phone calls, while Lily & Devon met with Nate to talk about his future.
Crimson Lights
Nate takes a seat with Devon and Lily.
Devon says he spoke to Victor earlier about Nate.
Nate can only imagine what Victor told Devon.
Lily says she spoke to Nick as well.
Nate figures that couldn’t have gone well either. He asks them not to waste his time if they’re just going to tell him he doesn’t have a shot at Chancellor-Winters. He gets up to leave.
Devon tells him to sit down and listen to what they have to say.
The Abbott House
Diane and Jack talk business. She says Jack seems to be in a good mood.
Jack says he’s optimistic.
Diane asks if he’s happy because of their latest hire.
Jack couldn’t be any happier about having Kyle back in the fold at Jabot. Kyle’s back where he belongs!
Diane says Kyle is his father’s son.
Billy walks in on them kissing. He says he just had an interesting conversation with his mother (Jill Abbott) about Tucker McCall.
Society
Jill takes a seat at Society and is handed a menu.
Tucker is seated at the bar and calls out a hello.
Jill says she saw the trail of slime leading to the front door… Now she knows why!
Tucker laughs and asks if he can buy her a drink.
Jill says she wants to make one thing clear; Tucker will never get the chance to make Chancellor-Winters his.
Tucker ignores what she says and asks if she’d like a coffee or tea instead.
Jill laughs. She says she’s made legal provisions to ensure he can’t get an ownership share in the company.
Tucker sits down at her table with her. He says that there are a lot of rich lawyers in the world who write up legal provisions… Talk about a trail of slime!
Mamie walks in as they’re talking. She asks what they’re doing.
Tucker says Jill was just about to name her price and make him a happy man.
Jill snorts. When hell freezes over! She asks what Mamie is doing there. She thinks Tucker and Mamie are in cahoots, trying to take Chancellor-Winters away from her.
Mamie says she would love to see Jill lose “what she shouldn’t have had in the first place,” she’s not about to be in cahoots with the man who broke Ashley’s heart.
Tucker tells Mamie that Ashley broke his heart first. He tells Jill that he wants to quit dancing around the matter and asks her to name her price.
Jill tells Tucker to run off and play with the record collection Katherine left him. He just wants a price.
She’d rather almost sell CW to Mamie. That’s music to Mamie’s ears and she takes a seat and asks for the papers to be drawn up.
Jill was being facetious. She turns to Tucker and calls him the loosest cannon who wants to make a big noise.
Jill and Mamie both want a company they can leave to their family. Jill won’t hesitate to use her arsenal if either push them.
Tucker gets it. CW is the only thing in her life. The Winters crew is strong but the Chancellor side isn’t.
He grins. Billy’s working for big brother who punches him in the nose more than his mother.
Jill leans in. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.” She sneers that he’s projecting about his own son.
He thinks he has her all figured out and is sorry for her. Still, he refuses to back down.
“Whose to say I don’t have an arsenal in my back pocket too.” He toys with the women and leaves.
Jill wonders what to do about him. Mamie sarcastically suggests she give him a check for a million dollars. Mamie snipes, is that why she’s back? To get under her skin? Mamie doesn’t care what she thinks.
She doesn’t trust Tucker.
Jill reminds her she brought the snake there. If she wants him gone as much as her, can’t they call a truce and share information?
Mamie’s astounded by her request to work on the same side.
The Abbott Mansion
Billy tells Jack and Diane that Jill thinks Tucker is about to make a move.
Jack says Ashley figured that as well.
Billy asks why Jack is only telling him now that he knew that Mamie and Tucker had teamed up.
Jack says things are moving fast. He’s in the loop now!
Billy says Jill thinks Mamie and Tucker are going to try to force her out of the company.
Diane says Tucker’s already gunning for Jabot.
Jack thinks Tucker is back to his original agenda; to take over Jabot and Chancellor-Winters.
Diane asks if Jill has a plan to fight Tucker.
Billy says his mother asked him to join her at Chancellor-Winters.
Jack is surprised. He says Jabot needs Billy.
Billy says his mom needs him more. He says Jill feels outnumbered, thinking that Lily, Devon, and Nate will all side with Mamie to push her out.
Jack says Jill’s ties with Lily and Devon are very strong.
Billy says there are strong ties, but they’re family. Jill thinks that the company will get split up, with Mamie taking Winters and Tucker will take over Chancellor. Family can make people do things they wouldn’t normally do.
He says his mom is looking for reinforcements, starting with him.
Jack asks Billy if he’s considering joining Jill at Chancellor-Winters.
Billy says he’s in the fight until the end. He’s not going anywhere, but the thought of reinforcements gave him an idea.
He wants them to work with Jill. They’d have the power to outmanoeuvre Tucker.
Diane thinks the idea has merit. Jack agrees but his lack of enthusiasm worries Billy.
Jack knows Jill’s used to getting what she wants but isn’t positive she’ll want their help.
She likely thinks of Tucker as a lightweight. Jack accuses Jill of lying to get Billy under her wing.
This upsets Billy.
Diane stops a fight before it begins and Jack explains that she wants the Chancellor side of the family to feel like a family business like the Winters do.
Billy knows his mom has one goal and that’s to stop Tucker.
Diane agrees.
She thinks it’s time to release the article about his sick involvement in underagers.
Billy notes that Tucker doesn’t care about that.
Jack worries it’ll be swiped under the rug after a few days.
Diane calls this whole thing a game to Tucker, which makes Jack think that she just figured out Tucker’s endgame.
Maybe it’s just a huge, meaningless mind game.
Billy reminds his brother that the man tried to frame him for embezzlement.
Jack knows but wants him to think of how easy that was to figure out who was behind it.
It was a bluff. Diane thinks they’re too strong to fall for it.
Jill walks in after getting a message from Jack.
She hopes Billy’s leaving Jabot but Jack fills her in on why she’s there and Billy’s plan.
Jill was thinking of the same thing, that he doesn’t have a plan.
Billy wants a united front to turn the tables on him.
Jill says Mamie’s through with him too and may be a good ally.
Jack’s shocked she’d work with Mamie but she wants “that scum” out of her life.
Jack thinks Tucker is desperate, hurting and in fear.
It’s when they need to break him.
Crimson Lights
Nate sits back down with Devon and Lily.
Lily says they want to believe Nate has learned from his mistakes and is ready to be part of the family and company.
Devon says Victor is convinced that Nate planned a coup to get him out of the way so that he and Victoria could take over the company.
Nate says it wasn’t a power play. He did it for Victor’s own good.
Devon says Nate said the exact same thing when he tried to hijack Chancellor-Winters last time he worked there.
Victor, Nick, and Nikki warned them about him, so it’s hard to trust him fully.
Nate asks if Lily has the same doubts.
Lily believes that Nate cares about Victor; he was his doctor, and she doesn’t believe that Nate was using Victor’s illness as a power grab.
Nate is grateful for that. Lily knows he wants to make amends and in order to move forward, they need to let go of the past.
He can lean on the strength of his family. Nate asks if she means she wants to keep him in line.
She denies it but Nate still feels hurt. Aunt Mamie believes in him and he worries they’re not sure hiring him is worth the risk.
Devon says they’re willing to give him another chance. Nate learns Jill signed off and he’s touched.
It means a lot and he thanks them. Devon suggests they’ll get rid of him if they suspect he’s up to no good.
Nate appreciates and is humbled by their faith. He’ll make them proud. He’ll be in charge of the Product and Development Department.
Nate’s excited to get started and knows Aunt Mamie will be thrilled. “I’m happy,” he says.
They all smile and Lily gets called away. Nate thanks his cousin again.
They talk about his admiration of Victor though it was a lesson in how not to treat family after seeing his manipulations.
Devon agrees but thinks they should focus on their own company and staying strong.
Devon knows Nate will bring them value but admits Nate’s right when he asks if this is hard on him.
Lily believes in second chances, but he wasn’t dragged into this. He wants to see Nate succeed.
Nate worries his cousin will be constantly breathing down his back just like last time, waiting for him to make a bad move.
Devon thinks he’s being fair and doesn’t like Nate’s combative attitude. Lily returns in a rush.
There’s a wildfire at Mattie’s school and it’s only partially contained.
She grabs her purse and tells the men the kids are on lock down.
There’s nothing they can do but she needs to be there.
Devon calls for the jet to get ready and she apologizes before Devon hugs her and tells her he loves her.
Lily rushes off and Devon gets on his phone and reads about the wildfire. It’s still growing.
Nate asks if she had time to call Charlie and Cane. Devon’s sure they were the first she called.
The men are concerned and Nate thinks this puts it all into perspective.
He swears he’s back on track, fully committed to the company and the family.
He thanks his cousin yet again. Devon warns if he breaks Lily’s heart again, they’re done. Nate nods and leaves the coffee shop.
Lily’s Condo
Lily arrives home and calls Charlie with an update about the fire. She’s on the way but promises Mattie will be fine.
She disconnects and Daniel runs in. She looks for her keys while Daniel reminds her they won’t let her near campus.
She knows. She wants to be near her. She finds keys and grabs some work for the plane, which fall on the floor, she’s such a mess.
Daniel wants to help and calls to get his schedule cleared for today and tomorrow.
He’s going with her. She won’t let him but she will take a hug from him. They embrace.
The Athletic Club
Mamie runs into Tucker in the lobby of the Athletic Club. He didn’t like how things ended between them and says he owns that he messed up with Ashley.
That doesn’t change how Mamie feels about him.
She learns that Ashley reached out to him.
Mamie knows she was too big hearted for her own good and will have a talk with her.
She moves to leave but Tucker needs to talk to her about Jill.
They get a table and Tucker butters her up by telling her how much he admires her. She scoffs.
She’s waiting. He admits Jill scares her.
She’s desperate and will fight hard and ugly to protect herself.
Mamie thinks he will to but he won’t if it could spill over on to Devon.
Mamie won’t let that happy.
Tucker says Devon’s happy. He can’t let that blow up so he’s backing off.
She asks what he’s up to.

I just love Melody’s performance on episode 45. The scene with the AA meeting was outstanding!!! It had me in tears! Bravo Melody Thomas Scott😀
