Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Nick raged over Sally & Adam’s Kiss, while Jack and Diane made plans for Kyle’s return to Jabot.
Crimson Lights
Nick and Sharon talk about their respective business trips and how successful they were.
Sharon asks Nick how he’s doing.
Nick says he’s fine. On second thought, maybe he’s not, but Sharon shouldn’t worry about it.
Sharon says she won’t worry about it if she tells him what she shouldn’t worry about.
Nick says he only wants to talk about their business trips.
Sharon says they’ve been married, have kids, and are friends. She needs him to tell her what’s going on.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Adam follows Sally into the club and asks her to wait for him. He wants to know what happened in the park.
Sally says she doesn’t care what Adam wants and doesn’t want to talk about it.
Adam says he can’t leave it alone… Why did Nick almost rip his head off in the park?
Sally says Adam needs to give Nick some space, and he’ll cool off. She starts to leave the lobby, but Adam grabs her arm.
Adam asks her if she told Nick that Adam kissed her.
The Chancellor Mansion
Devon comes down the stairs wearing a suit, and Abby kisses him, telling him how good he looks. She asks if he has a late meeting.
Devon says they have a late meeting. Mamie invited them to have some drinks with the rest of the family at the jazz lounge.
Abby asks what the occasion is.
Devon hopes Mamie is going to tell them she’s the mystery investor.
Abby goes upstairs to change into a dress.
Lily’s Apartment
Daniel and Lily kiss in greeting, and Daniel asks what Lily wanted to talk to him about.
Lily tells Daniel that her aunt Mamie invited her to the club, and she wants Daniel to be her date.
Daniel figures Mamie is going to announce her involvement with Chancellor-Winters and wonders why Lily wants him “tagging along.”
Lily says he’s part of Chancellor-Winters, and he should be there. She also wants to show her aunt how happy Daniel makes her.
Daniel says he has a meeting with his creative team, and he’s already canceled it a few times. He tells her that they’ll get together with Mamie some other time.
Lily agrees, and they hug.
Newman Enterprises
Nate comes into the office and tells Victoria to put down her pencil… It’s quitting time. He kisses her and tells her they’re heading to the Neil Winters lounge.
Victoria asks why they’re going there.
Nate tells her that Mamie has organized a family get-together, and he wants Victoria to go with him.
Victoria isn’t sure about that. She says that a family get-together probably involves Devon and Lily and wonders if Nate is trying to go to war with them again.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Jack tells Mamie it makes him happy to see her like this.
Mamie laughs and says, “Energized? Strong? A woman on top of the world?”
Jack says that about covers it, though she forgot to mention, “Beautiful as ever.”
Mamie says she didn’t forget; she just paused so Jack could say it!
They laugh together, and Jack asks if Mamie will tell him what she has planned for the evening.
Mamie says she has two families… The Abbotts are one, and now she has to work on building a relationship with Nate, Lily, and Devon. She’s had to take “certain steps” to reconnect.
Jack says she’s driving him crazy with her mystery.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria tells Nate he can’t think it’s a good idea for her to come to a family gathering with him.
Nate thinks it’s an excellent idea.
Victoria says Devon and Lily still blame her for what Nate tried to do at Chancellor-Winters, and they might feel like Nate and Victoria are trying to rub it in their faces.
Nate says Lily and Devon have too much respect for Mamie to cause a scene.
Victoria figures Devon and Lily will walk out when they see Nate and Victoria together.
Nate says that’s not going to happen. Everyone who’s invited will be there, and they’ll stay. It’ll give him another chance to mend the fences with his cousins.
Victoria says she wants him to repair his relationship with his cousins.
Nate says she needs to come with him then. He’s become rather involved with her family and thinks it’s time for her to become part of his family, too.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Mamie tells Jack she’ll let him in on it, but only because she remembers how Jack used to pout when he thought people were keeping secrets from him.
Jack protests… He never pouted!
Mamie laughs and tells him to keep telling himself that. She says she bought out a private investor and now has a huge stake in Chancellor-Winters.
Jack grins broadly and says she’s made the most of her investments over the years.
Mamie says she spent a lot of time with John Abbott, who taught her everything she needed about money. She had always planned to become an entrepreneur.
Jack says it’s all led her back to Genoa City.
Mamie says she had the idea to be in business with her niece and nephew and was willing to move mountains to make it happen… Even if Victor Newman was one of those mountains.
Jack is surprised that Victor was the investor she bought from. He’s so happy for her and says it’s great news for her, Devon, Lily, and Chancellor-Winters. He hopes she’s prepared for the inevitable roadblock she will run into.
Mamie says it won’t be easy, but she will do whatever it takes to make this happen… Though Jill is someone she can’t even imagine preparing for.
Crimson Lights
Nick tells Sharon that Adam and Sally met for dinner while he was out of town.
Sharon says it’s not a big deal… Sally and Adam went through a terrible loss together, and it’s good they can work out their grief together.
Nick says there’s more to it than that. After dinner, Adam kissed Sally. He rants that he’s sick of Adam’s crap.
Sharon asks what Nick is going to do about it… Surely he’s not going to confront Adam?
Nick says he won’t confront Adam right now… He’d end up doing something he regrets, and that’s why he’s at the coffee shop; he can forget about his brother for a bit.

The GCAC Dining Room
Sally sits at the bar with Adam beside her. She asks Adam what difference it would make if she told Nick about Adam kissing her since Adam told her he was sorry. She asks if he wants to stir up trouble.
Adam says that’s not what he wants. He says he needs to know where he stands with Nick because he’s trying to fix his relationship with Nick and the rest of his family.
Sally rolls her eyes and says they both know that’s a lie.
Adam asks her what she means.
Sally says that contrary to what he’s been saying, Adam can’t change. He can’t let go of Sally, he can’t let go of Newman Media, and he can’t let go of the anger at not being treated like the king of the world by his family. Sally says his actions speak for themselves.
Crimson Lights
Sharon tells Nick he did the right thing by not confronting Adam.
Nick says Adam doesn’t love Sally. She’s just a trophy to him. He doesn’t love, he covets. His whole life is based on jealousy and self-pity.
Sharon says there’s nothing healthy about Adam’s behavior, but she thinks he can still love. The only way that kiss matters is if it affected Sally.
Nick looks uncomfortable.
Sharon asks if it did affect Sally.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Jack laughs and tells Mamie that it’s pretty hard to prepare for Jill. The animosity between Mamie and Jill has been going on for years.
Mamie says Jill is going to be pretty surprised at how successful Mamie has been since Jill paid her off to leave Genoa City years before.
Jack laughs and says Jill will blow her stack when she discovers that Mamie is the mystery investor.
Mamie says she’s only replacing an investor… Her money’s as green as Victor Newman’s!
Jack says that’s logical, but logic doesn’t always apply to Jill. He says that Mamie mentioned that it was “only the beginning” when she invested in Chancellor-Winters… What else does she have up her sleeve?
Mamie blows him off and says her guests are arriving. She gets up and gives Lily a hug.
Jack tells Mamie he has to head home, he has to finish planning his wedding celebration with Diane.
Mamie tells Jack she’s happy he discovered love and happiness, though she was worried when she heard that Diane was back and alive. She thinks Diane’s really turned her life around.
Jack says Diane has done that and more.
Mamie says she believes him, and she’s really looking forward to celebrating with him.
Jack kisses her on the cheek and leaves the club, passing Nate and Victoria on the way out.
Mamie greets Nate and Victoria. She compliments Victoria, saying she turned out beautiful, just like she thought she would when she watched her grow up.
Lily takes a sip of her wine and watches with a critical eye.
Mamie says she has to show Victoria a picture of Nate she found when she was a baby.
Victoria wants to see the picture, though Nate protests.
Lily watches and thinks back to a conversation she had with Nate about Victoria.
Flashback. Lily tells Nate she’s surprised that he’s “into” Victoria… Or is she just useful to him?
Nate told Lily that his feelings for Victoria are real.
Lily said that by dating Victoria, Nate isn’t respecting Devon and Lily.
Nate had responded that Devon and Abby cheated on Amanda and Chance, but now everyone treats them like nothing happened. Everyone has moved on. He’s happy with Victoria, but Lily can only see the past. He’s comfortable with Victoria.
They fought, and Nate had walked out of Lily’s apartment.
Devon and Abby enter the lounge, and Abby smiles at Lily.
Crimson Lights
Nick tells Sharon the kiss affected Sally more than she’d like to admit.
Sharon asks what makes Nick suspect that.
Nick says he doesn’t want to talk about it anymore. He wants to have a coffee and get some work done.
Sharon asks how Nick thinks they’re doing.
Nick says he’s not doing too well. He’s pretty useless right now, but Sharon’s helped by being rational and talking him down.
Sharon says she’s happy to help keep a friend from dismembering his brother.
Nick says that’s one of the qualities that first attracted him to her.
The GCAC Dining Room
Adam tells Sally he knows what Nick thinks of him, but he thought he and Sally were in “a better place.”
Sally says her heart was broken when they lost their baby, and she was filled with rage at Adam. They’re in a better place as friends working through a shared trauma, but Adam ruined it by kissing her.
Adam says he apologized for it and said it was a mistake.
Sally says he said it was a mistake he didn’t regret.
Adam says he still doesn’t regret it. It was an impulsive moment between them.
Sally says it was a lot more than that. She’s trying to get her life in order and was getting back on track, but thanks to Adam’s “impulsive moment,” it’s all teetering again.
Adam says she’s not even talking about Nick’s reaction to the kiss… She’s talking about her own reaction.
Sally says Adam told her he wants to rebuild relationships, but that’s not true… He only wants relationships on his own terms. She says there’s “no us” and warns him to stay away from her and to stay away from Nick. She says she told Nick about the kiss, and it upset him.
Adam says that’s all he needed to know. He says Adam kissing Sally didn’t upset Nick… It’s more than that.
Sally asks why it has to be more than that. Adam crossed the line not only with his brother but with his so-called “friend.”
Adam says Nick would only be upset if the kiss triggered something in Sally.
Sally tells Adam to quit making mountains out of molehills. She tells him to stay out of her way, out of her life, and out of her head. She gets up and leaves.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Mamie thanks Nate, Victoria, Devon, Abby, and Lily for meeting with her. She says it’s good to be home in Genoa City, and meeting in the Neil Winters Jazz Lounge is a highlight.
Mamie’s voice cracks, and she says she’s surrounded by her beautiful family, who she’s missed so much. She says she’s been keeping tabs on them and is aware of their ups and downs, and knows there’s a lot of resentment and animosity between them.
She says it breaks her heart, and Neil and Drucilla are looking down at them and having their hearts broken, too. She says she’s returning to Genoa City to whip them all into shape; she will bring their family back to become the powerhouse it once was.
Mamie raises her glass in a toast.
Sally’s GCAC Suite / Crimson Lights
Sally paces around the room as she remembers her conversation with Nick after telling him Adam had kissed her. She had asked Nick if she’d screwed things up, and he had hugged her in response.
Sally grabs her phone and calls Nick. She asks him how he is.
Nick says he’s just at the cafe working with Sharon.
Sally says he’s not okay; she can hear it in his voice. She says she’s not okay either.
Nick asks if Adam has bothered her again.
Sally skips the question and asks if they can talk it out.
Nick says he’s busy working.
Sally says she’s surprised he can work at all.
Nick says that Sharon’s good at “grounding” him when he needs it.
Sally says she steered things in the wrong direction earlier in the park. She’s sorry.
Nick says when Adam showed up, it didn’t help. Sally’s right, though; they do need to talk. He’s on his way over to see her.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Mamie says she can’t unify the family from a distance, which is why she wants to move back to town. She says she’s purchased a substantial investment in Chancellor-Winters from a very influential and cooperative secret investor.
Devon says it’s not a secret… They know the investor is Victor Newman.
Mamie hopes they’re as excited as she is that she’s connected to the future that Lily and Devon are building in memory of two extraordinary family members… Katherine Chancellor and Neil Winters. She raises her glass in a toast, and everyone drinks.
Mamie walks up to Nate and says he’s knee-deep at Newman Enterprises, but it would make her happy if she could lure him away to join them at Chancellor-Winters.
Lily is shocked. “Rejoin us?”
The GCAC Dining Room
Nick walks into the club and sees Adam sitting at the bar. He thinks back to his conversation with Sally in the park, where he’d asked her how she felt after Adam kissed her. He figured that a part of Sally was still in love with Adam.
Nick approaches Adam and tells him he must leave Sally alone for her benefit. His patience has a limit.
Adam says Nick’s right. He says he’s sorry and wants to apologize to Nick and Sally for crossing the line.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Nick composes himself and knocks on Sally’s door. She lets him in, and Nick tells her he saw Adam downstairs. He says he didn’t lay a hand on him, and he didn’t even raise his voice.
Sally asks what he did.
Nick says he warned Adam that he needed to leave Sally alone.
Sally figures Adam couldn’t have taken that very well.
Nick says surprisingly, Adam took it okay. He said he screwed up and apologized to them both.
Sally says that’s a relief.
Nick says it’d be a relief if it came from anyone else, but it’s just another “Adam Newman mind game.” Nick’s at his breaking point with Adam. He thinks Adam won’t leave Sally alone; he’s just trying to get Nick to let his guard down.
Sally says they’ll deal with whatever Adam does, but she doesn’t care about Adam right now… She says she asked Nick to her room to know if they were okay.
Nick says he doesn’t know. It depends on Sally and what’s in her heart. He wants to know the truth.
Sally tears up and tells Nick that the truth is that she’s falling in love with him too. She hugs him tightly.
Crimson Lights
Adam enters the coffee shop and says hello to Sharon.
Sharon tells him the cafe is closed.
Adam says he knows, but the lights are on, and her car is outside, so he thought he’d drop by and say hello. He asks if there’s anything he can help her with.
Sharon says there is… Could he tell her why he has to mess things up with everyone?
Adam says she must have spoken to Nick.
Sharon laughs and says she did.
Adam says he can only imagine how Nick spun things, but he’s guilty as charged. He crossed the line, and Nick has every right to be upset with him.
Sharon says she agrees and feels bad for Nick.
Adam says he does, too. Nick’s fooling himself by thinking that Sally’s in love with him. He says that Sally isn’t in love with Nick; she’s still in love with him.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Mamie tells Lily she heard her right… She knows that Nate left Chancellor-Winters under less-than-ideal circumstances, but she wants to leave that in the past where it belongs and wants Nate to come back to their family’s company.
Lily says she doesn’t know if that’s possible. She says Mamie bought shares in the company from Victor, but it sounds like Mamie wants to be a part of the company, not just a silent partner. What exactly are her intentions at Chancellor-Winters?
Jill calls out from behind Mamie. “I’m pretty curious about that myself!”

They love Adam I love him too but come on nobody didn’t even have no sympathy for Sally and how badly he treated her when he dump her SMH lord have mercy so Sally had the right to move on when you dump somebody they have a reason to be move on oh but wait it’s Sally fault right for moving on
