Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Sally told Chloe she still has feelings for Adam, while Victor thought Nate is worthy of his trust.
Society
Daniel and Heather are sitting at a table. Daniel looks at his phone and tells Heather that Lucy wants her mom to bring back some of Crimson Lights’ brownies when she flies back to Lisbon.
Heather laughs and says it’s going to be morning when she gets back to Portugal.
Daniel says he’ll tell Lucy that her mom said yes, and they will have brownies for breakfast.
Heather says once she’s back in Lisbon, it shouldn’t take too long to get things packed up for the move back to Genoa City.
Daniel figures it may not take Heather much time, but their daughter, on the other hand…
Heather says it’ll be hard to convince Lucy not to bring everything with her on the move since they can have it shipped over later.
Daniel asks what Heather will do with her place in Portugal when she moves.
Heather says her father (Paul) will probably move into the apartment since he’s been living in a hotel since he went back.
Daniel asks if Paul and Christine are getting along.
Heather says she doesn’t know… She’s stayed out of it.
Daniel thinks that’s probably smart. He says that when Heather comes back, he’ll probably have his own place. He’s looking to rent or possibly purchase.
Heather says he’s settling down.
Daniel says he is, and even though he loves the Athletic Club, he feels he needs something more permanent.
Heather asks if Daniel could look for a place for her and Lucy since he’s looking at real estate.
Daniel says that won’t be a problem.
Lily enters the restaurant and approaches the table. She says she overheard… Is Heather moving back to Genoa City?
Newman Media
Nikki hands Claire some files and hopes she had a good first day at the office.
Claire thanks Nikki and says it’s been wonderful.
Victoria walks into the office and apologizes for interrupting.
Nikki introduces Claire to Victoria as her new assistant.
Claire says it’s an honor to meet “Miss Newman” and tells Victoria she’s followed her career and everything she’s accomplished is impressive. She mentions Brash and Sassy and calls it Victoria’s brainchild. She apologizes for fan-girling.
Victoria smiles and says that doing research is a good thing.
Claire says she’s so impressed by Victoria and met Victor earlier… He must be so proud of her!
The Newman Ranch
Victor and Nick are in the gym, and Victor swings at the heavy punching bag as Nick watches. Victor tells Nick it’s his turn as he holds the bag.
Nick viciously attacks the heavy bag, slamming punches into it.
Victor laughs and asks if Nick is pissed off with someone.
Nick says he’s just blowing off steam.
Victor wonders what Nick’s doing at the ranch… Normally, he’d be at the Athletic Club.
Nick says it’s an old habit. He mentions he saw Adam earlier, who’d told him that Victor had confused the two of them and had called Adam “Nicholas.”
Victor says it’s nonsense.
Nick asks why Adam would lie about it.
Victor shrugs. He says that Adam must have misheard him.
Nick says it must have just been a slip-up… No big deal.
Victor reiterates that Adam must have misheard him; it’s as simple as that!
Nick nods and tells Victor that he’s up. He takes hold of the heavy bag, ready for Victor to swing.
Victor wonders why Adam would say “nonsense like that.” He swings at the heavy bag as Nick holds it, trying not to look concerned.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Adam knocks on Sally’s door and calls out, identifying himself.
From inside, Sally tells him to go away.
Adam begs for five minutes with her.
Sally sighs and opens the door. She asks what he wants.
Adam walks in and says he wanted to make sure she was alright.
Sally thinks he’s looking for an excuse to follow her. She asks him to leave.
Adam says she was upset at the coffee shop. He asks why Nick wanted to punch him in the face… Was it the kiss?
Sally doesn’t want to talk. She asks him again to leave, but Adam doesn’t listen.
Adam says he heard her tell Chloe she might not have a business anymore. Does she think Nick might pull her funding over a kiss?
Sally closes the door and says that Nick could do it.
Adam says Nick would never do that to her.
Sally says it’s Nick’s money; he can do what he wants with it.
Adam asks if she told Nick that it was Adam’s fault… He kissed her.
Sally says it doesn’t matter… It’s done.
Adam asks if she thinks Nick will pull the plug on her business because of it.
Sally tells Adam to just stop already.
Adam asks again if Nick will end the business because of something that is Adam’s fault.
Sally says Nick’s ending their relationship over it, so yes… He could end the business, too.
Adam says he could talk to Nick for her. Is she okay?
Sally tells Adam just to stay away from Nick. She’ll be okay, and people have to stop treating her like a fragile flower. Adam, of all people, should know that since she told him the challenges she faced and how she grew up.
Adam says he knows.
Sally says she’s not looking for a hero, and she’s done with people thinking they know what’s best for her.
Newman Media
Nikki tells Claire that she’ll see her in the morning.
Claire tells Victoria it was a pleasure to meet her, and Victoria returns the compliment. Claire leaves the offices.
Victoria asks Nikki how Claire is working out; Nikki seems to be sure she’s found the perfect assistant.
Nikki says it was her first day, but she thinks Claire will be just fine. She doesn’t want to talk about her assistant, though. She wants to talk about Victoria. What’s going on?
Victoria says nothing is going on.
Nikki says she doesn’t believe her. Victoria seems rattled.
In the hallway, Nate emerges from the elevator, flipping through some files. Claire is looking at her tablet, and neither of them see each other. They bump into each other, causing Claire to drop her tablet.
Nate picks up her tablet and returns it to her.
Claire apologizes profusely, saying that she shouldn’t walk and read at the same time.
Nate smiles and says that’s good advice.
The GCAC Dining Room
Nick and Victor sit at the bar. Nick has a beer before him, and Victor has a glass of whiskey.
Victor asks Nick if he remembers his first boxing lesson.
Nick says he does… It was when he got back from his boarding school in Switzerland. Victor had told him that fighting wasn’t always the best way to solve a conflict.
Victor laughs and asks if Nick has found that to be true.
Nick says sometimes he likes fighting.
Victor smiles and says, “Like father, like son!”
Nick asks Victor how he likes being back at the office.
Victor says he loves it… Stress and all.
Nick asks him to promise not to overdo it.
Victor says he promised Nikki the same thing. His only regret is that Nick isn’t at the company with him.
Nick says he gets it, but he’s enjoying working with Sharon right now.
Victor says Nick should be with the family company.
Nick says he’s not sure it’s best for him.
Victor says Nick’s sister is very happy at Newman Media.
Nick looks confused and concerned. He says that Nikki is at Newman Media, not Victoria.
Victor says, “Oh. What?”
Nick reminds Victor that he made Nikki CEO of Newman Media, and Victoria is his second-in-command.
Victor nods and says Nick’s right.
Society
Lily sits down with Daniel and Heather.
Heather says she thought Daniel would have told Lily she was moving back since they discussed it a few days ago.
Daniel says they did talk about it, but Heather didn’t sound so sure about it.
Heather says that’s true… She only made the decision yesterday.
Daniel didn’t feel it was his place to say anything until Heather made up her mind.
Lily says that makes sense. She asks Heather why she wants to move back to Genoa City.
Heather says that Lucy hates to be away from her dad, and after Heather picked up Phyllis’s case and spent time back in town, she realized that she missed living in the States.
Lily asks what’s happening with Heather’s job in Portugal.
Heather says she doesn’t have a long-term contract there.
Daniel tells Lily he’d mentioned that Chancellor-Winters might be looking for someone to help in their legal department.
Lily asks if Heather wants to do in-house counsel… She thought Heather liked litigations better.
Heather says the courtroom isn’t exciting her like it used to, and she thinks she’d enjoy the detail work of contracts and negotiations. She can send over her resume and recs.
Lily tells her to hold off, as they might already have some applications and don’t want to waste Heather’s time.
Heather says she’d enjoy an in-house position.
Daniel figures she’d have more time to spend with Lucy.
Heather says that’s a positive.
Lily says she’ll look into it.
Heather thanks Lily. She really appreciates it.
Newman Media
Claire introduces herself to Nate as Nikki’s assistant. She mentions that she was at the Abbott’s party, but Nate probably doesn’t remember her… It was a quick introduction.
Nate says he remembers her now. He says he had a lot of “family” going on that day, so everything is a blur. He shakes her hand and formally introduces himself, saying he’s glad he didn’t break her tablet.
Claire laughs and says if he did, it’d be her fault.
Nate says she has most of her life on her tablet if she’s anything like him.
Claire says that includes everything that she’s taking care of for Nikki… It’d be pretty bad to lose that on her first day.
Nate asks how she’s settling in.
Claire says she’s found her dream job. Everyone is so nice and welcoming!
Nate says it was good meeting her. He leaves.
In Nikki’s office, Victoria tells her mother that she’s not rattled… She’s just having a bad day. She had some rough conversations with Nick.
Nikki figures that Victoria tried to convince Nick to come back to Newman.
Victoria says they discussed it, but Nick turned her down.
Nikki isn’t surprised.
Victoria says something is going on with Nick… Something to do with Adam.
Nikki says there always is. Sally probably has something to do with it.
Victoria says she thought the same thing but is worried more than ever about Victor. Adam told her that Victor had called him “Nicholas” by mistake.
Nikki says she heard, and Victor dismissed it with her as well. They’ve all messed up people’s names, though! She wonders why Adam felt he had to tell Victoria about it.
Victoria says she isn’t sure.
Nikki says Adam is just trying to unnerve her.
Victoria says calling someone by the wrong name is worrying her. She thinks stress is getting to Victor and that Nikki is worried about it, too.
Nate walks in and greets them. He tells Victoria that they have a conference call in ten minutes.
Victoria acknowledges it and says she was telling Nikki what Nate had seen between Victor and Adam.
Nate says Victor was just confused, and they probably don’t need to worry about it.
Nikki agrees. She thinks Adam was grasping at straws for his own reasons.
Nate says Adam’s not above using something like this for his own gain.
Nikki says there’s no reason for them to overreact.
Victoria thinks they’re not reacting enough.
The GCAC Dining Room
Victor tells Nick he knows what position people hold in his company. Victoria’s his right hand, and Nikki runs Newman Media.
Nick stammers something but decides to drop it.
Victor says Victoria is having a hard time and needs to accept that she’s no longer in charge.
Nick wonders if she’s finally coming around.
Victor says that Victoria and Adam are both happy with their jobs.
Nick says Victor got what he wanted; he’s glad it worked out.
Victor asks if Nick was picturing someone’s face when he was punching the heavy bag earlier.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Adam tells Sally he’d never call her fragile. She’s one of the most independent, strong people he’s ever known and is right up there with his mother.
Sally tells him not to bring Hope into it because, knowing Adam’s background with her, it always manages to get him off the hook for what he’s done.
Adam says it wasn’t that deep. He’ll keep his mother out of it. He says even the strongest people in the world need to vent.
Sally says she is venting. Anger, frustration, and annoyance are boiling just below the surface!
Adam tells her to let it all out.
Sally asks if he’s ready for that… He’s the one she’s mad at!
Adam tells her not to hold back.
Society
Heather says she has to leave and prepare for her return to Portugal.
Daniel reminds her that she needs to bring the Crimson Lights brownies.
Heather laughs and thanks Daniel for supporting her decision.
Daniel says he can’t wait to spend time with his daughter.
Heather says they can all be a family again.
Daniel smiles and says they always will be.
Heather says it doesn’t matter where they all live, but being in the same town will be nice.
Daniel says he’ll work on Lucy’s school and let Heather know if he finds an apartment for them.
Heather thanks Lily for looking to see if there’s room for her at Chancellor-Winters legal department.
Lily smiles and says she’ll get right on it tomorrow.
Heather leaves the restaurant.
Lily tells Daniel it seems like Heather’s made up her mind.
Daniel says she has, but she was on the fence about it when he spoke to her before.
Lily asks if he’s okay with Heather and Lucy moving back to Genoa City.
Daniel says of course he is… Why wouldn’t he be?
Lily asks if that’s why he seemed “off” this morning.
Daniel says he didn’t want to get his hopes up about Lucy coming back.
Lily says he could have still told her about it. Did he think she would have a problem with it? She wants him to be close to Lucy, after all.
Daniel says he didn’t want to ruin a great evening by talking about his ex.
Lily laughs and says that’s a smart move.
Daniel asks if she is worried.
Lily says she’s not concerned he will get back together with Heather.
Daniel wants to make sure Lily doesn’t think that’s an issue.
Lily says she knows. She’s just worried that being in the same town and co-parenting might bring back some old feelings.
Daniel asks what she means.
Lily says that it could bring back old patterns of guilt and regret.
Daniel says he’s going to spiral again. He appreciates that Lily’s expressing her concerns, but he’s in a better headspace now, and it’s because of Lily. They have a solid, supportive relationship.
Lily nods. They do.
Daniel says his career is great, and his demons have been exorcised!
The GCAC Dining Room
Nick tells his dad that he decided earlier to not put Adam through a wall, and decided it’d be better to take out his frustrations on the punching bag.
Victor asks what Adam did to get Nick all worked up.
Nick says their whole history should tell Victor everything he needs to know.
Victor asks if Nick believes that Adam will change his ways.
Nick says he doesn’t believe it… Not even a little bit. He thinks Adam destroys everything he touches, and Adam ruined Nick’s relationship with Sally.
Victor says he’s sorry to hear that.
Nick thinks Victor’s been waiting to hear it.
Victor says he’s going to be honest with Nick… He’s too good for Sally.
Nick says that Victor shouldn’t say that. Sally is a better person than Victor gives her credit for. Adam doesn’t deserve Sally after breaking her heart. He’s done it to Sharon and will do it to Sally.
Victor asks what Adam’s doing to Sally.
Nick says that Adam is “love-bombing” Sally and telling her she’s the only thing keeping him from his dark side. It’s ridiculous!
Victor wonders if Adam is right.
Nick says he’s not. Adam is focused on Sally and is doing everything he can to pull her back in. He can’t forgive him for it.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Sally tells Adam she doesn’t need his permission to feel, do, or think anything. She doesn’t need his approval or support and his not-so-subtle declarations of love. She asks why he can’t just leave her alone.
Adam stammers.
Sally says every time she’s happy, Adam shows up to take her happiness away and makes her doubt herself and her feelings. They’ve been doing this dance too long, and she’s exhausted.
Adam looks uncomfortable but doesn’t say anything.
Sally says when they first met, they knew they were kindred spirits. Outsiders and disruptors. He told her why it couldn’t work between them when she pursued him. He said he was toxic and no good for anyone.
She wonders where she’d be if she’d just listened to him, but she didn’t. When Adam finally let her in, it was amazing… Until it wasn’t.
Sally says Adam pushed her away again and then tried to get her back because he couldn’t stand that she could survive without him. She says she found Nick, a good man who loves her, and he stood by her when she was having his brother’s child.
She says she’s sick of Adam getting in her head. A real friend wouldn’t work so hard to keep her off balance. She was in a good place and working through her grief with Ava. She was happy! Why did Adam have to kiss her and say what he did? Why can’t he just let her go??
Adam says he apologizes and meant it. He asks why it still resonates so deeply with her… Why can’t they get past it?
Sally says it’s because she can’t let go of him either. She curses him.
Adam asks if it’s true.
Sally says she shouldn’t have said anything. It’s true, but it’s unhealthy, and there’s no way she’d act on something wrong.
Adam tries to talk, but Sally interrupts him, telling him to go… He got what he wanted.
Sally tells him that if he loves her in any way, he needs to leave her alone.
Society
Lily tells Daniel that speaking of demons… She was going to make a joke about his mom but asks how Phyllis is doing at OmegaSphere.
Daniel laughs and says he doesn’t know. He thinks she’s behaved. She’s part of an I.T. team and has her own boss. He says he hasn’t seen her all day but didn’t hear screaming, so that’s a good sign. He mentions that he’s going to dinner with her and Summer later and invites Lily to join them.
Lily shakes her head. No way. He can have his mother all to himself. She asks if Phyllis knows about Heather moving back to town.
Daniel says he doesn’t think so… He never said anything to her.
Lily says Phyllis will be thrilled; she loves her granddaughter. Lily reminds Daniel that Phyllis went to Portugal to get Heather and Daniel back together.
Daniel says Phyllis shouldn’t have done that, but it doesn’t matter how his mom feels about him and Heather… It’s never going to happen again.
Lily says she knows it’s not.
Daniel takes her hand and tells her that Heather is his past and Lily is his future.
Lily says she’s his past, too.
Daniel says it’s a good point.
Newman Media
Outside the elevators, Victoria asks Nate if he thinks she’s overreacting about her father.
Nate says he knows she’s concerned, but people can change their minds and make mistakes when under duress.
Victoria says normal people do… But not Victor Newman! She thinks something’s wrong, and Adam and Nate have seen it too, but Nate’s writing it off as an accident or fatigue.
Nate says Nikki’s not worried about it… Why should he be?
Victoria says Nikki is worried. She saw it on her face, but Nate interrupted them before she could get her to admit it.
Nate says she should talk with Nikki about it… Until then, though, they should go to dinner, relax, and not talk about Victor.
Victoria reluctantly agrees.
The GCAC Dining Room
Victor tells Nick that he’s watched the connection between Adam and Sally. He thinks it’s better that Nick and Sally split up before he gets too involved with her.
Nick asks what he’s talking about. He’s in love with Sally, but Adam refuses to respect it.
Victor says Adam and Sally are expecting a baby. How can Nick compete with that?
Nick tells Victor that Adam and Sally lost their baby months ago… Doesn’t he remember?
Victor just says, “Oh.” He stands up and says he has to get to the office.
Nick asks if he’s alright.
Victor says he is, and to know that love is a many-splendored thing, and it can hurt you. He thinks Nick would be better off returning to Newman Enterprises. He pats Nick on the back and tells him to come back. He leaves the club and looks back at Nick on the way.
Lily’s Penthouse Apartment
Lily and Daniel look at a gift basket that Lily has received. She reads the card.
“Thank you for accepting me as part of the family company. I see great things in our future. Love, Aunt Mamie.”
Daniel digs into the basket, looking for dark chocolate, but Lily slaps his hand away. He asks if Lily’s still worried about Mamie’s motives.
Lily isn’t sure. She wonders why Mamie is so cloak-and-dagger. She doesn’t know Mamie very well. She knows her mom adored her, and she’s close to her aunt Liv… Maybe she should leave the worrying to Jill; she’s got enough of her own to worry about.
Daniel asks her what she has to worry about.
Lily says she has to worry about Daniel’s ex moving back to town.
Daniel says that’s not fair… Billy lives in town!
Lily says that’s different.
Daniel says he’ll have to show her she has nothing to worry about. They kiss.
Heather’s GCAC Suite
Heather packs up some last-minute items. She picks up a picture of herself, Daniel, and Lucy and smiles.
The GCAC Dining Room
Nick sits at the bar and flashes back to his conversation with Victoria the night before about their father’s problems.
Victoria and Nate walk into the dining room, and Nick calls them over.
Nick tells Victoria that she might be right about their father.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Sally asks Adam to leave… Again.
Adam shakes his head and leaves the room, glancing back with a hurt expression as he closes the door behind him.
Sally sits on the couch and cries.

Can somebody tell why and how come Sally can forgive Wyatt Thomas and all that but you can’t forgive Adam why is it so hard for to forgive Adam I want to know she can forgive all them but why is hard for her to forgive Adam not to mention Wyatt dump her for another woman at that
