On the last episode of Y&R, Sally couldn’t get Adam out of her head, while Victor feigned a mental decline to trap Nicholas.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle and Audra make love. Afterward, they cuddle in bed, and Audra asks why they stopped seeing each other.
Kyle says it’s because she fired him.
Audra laughs and says that she has a risky proposition for him.
The Abbott Mansion
Billy enters the house and talks with Jack.
Jack lets Billy know that Tucker’s wedding gift, the bonsai tree, had a listening device attached.
Billy isn’t surprised.
Jack says Tucker took a page out of Ashley’s playbook. Years ago, when they fought, Ashley had planted a bug in a “truce gift.”
Billy asks who tipped Jack off about the bugged bonsai.
Jack says Phyllis was the one who told him.
Society
Phyllis meets Summer and Daniel in the restaurant. She’s happy to be having dinner like a “normal family.”
Daniel says he wanted to celebrate her first day at the new job.
Phyllis laughs and asks if he’s paying since she’s not making the money she’s used to.
Daniel says it’s all about making a clean start.
Summer asks how her first day was.
Phyllis says she’s not running the I.T. department, but she’s part of it. She remarks how young her manager is, comparing her to an embryo and a zygote.
Daniel says that Kayla is 29 and has a master’s degree in computer science.
Phyllis says she must have a lot to learn from that young lady. She’s happy to be at the company and had a productive day. She won’t let Daniel down.
Daniel says they’re both rooting for her.
Summer agrees, saying that’s why they’re there… To celebrate their “new mother.”
Phyllis says she’s on a roll… She found the money that Stark hid from her and paid back the insurance company. She’s working with her “genius son” and feels positive that all the bad karma is slipping away from her.
Tucker enters the restaurant, walks over to their table, and greets everyone. He says that Phyllis looks radiant, and it warms his heart to see her with her family. He tells them to enjoy their meal and leaves them to sit at the bar.
Summer asks what’s going on between Phyllis and Tucker… He was glaring at her; it’s creepy!
Phyllis says that’s just what Tucker does… He makes people uncomfortable.
Summer looks over and says Tucker’s still looking.
Daniel gets up and says he’s going to have a “little chat” with Tucker.
Phyllis tries to dissuade him, but he heads over to talk with Tucker anyhow.
Daniel asks Tucker why he was glaring at Phyllis.
Tucker waves his hand dismissively.
The Abbott Mansion
Billy asks how often Phyllis has to burn them before they realize she can’t be trusted… Why does Jack trust her now?
Jack says Phyllis gave them usable information that’s proven to be true. She told them that Tucker had bought a listening device, and she was right.
Billy wonders what motivation Phyllis would have to tell them. Whoever is the highest bidder wins her services… How much did Jack pay for the information?
Jack says he paid nothing. She didn’t ask for a dime.
Billy says Jack’s a magician; he got Adam and Phyllis to share information on Tucker for free.
Jack thinks Phyllis wants to redeem herself. He knows they need to watch her, but he figures she’s tired of people losing their faith in her. She wants to regain her respect.
Billy reminds Jack that Phyllis was helping Tucker frame Billy for embezzlement, and if she went to Tucker to help her pay her debt, that means Tucker is holding something over her head.
Jack asks if Billy thinks Phyllis’s tip on the bug was misdirection. Does he think Phyllis is still working for Tucker?
Billy says that makes as much sense as Phyllis suddenly developing a conscience.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra asks Kyle how things are between him and his father.
Kyle doesn’t want to talk about that right now. He asks what Audra meant by a “risky proposition.”
Audra says they’ll get to that soon enough. She wants to know if Kyle’s had any luck in convincing his father to get rid of Billy so he can take the co-CEO position.
Kyle says it’s not looking likely. He thought Jack was going to get rid of Billy, but was somehow convinced otherwise.
Audra asks where that leaves Kyle.
Kyle says Jack offered some “unspecified” job at Jabot… Which isn’t up Kyle’s alley.
Audra says Kyle sounds angry about it.
Kyle says he is angry. He’s worked as the co-CEO of Jabot before, and he can’t imagine returning to any other position. He thinks his dad doesn’t think Kyle has what it takes for the position.
Audra says Jack’s wrong.
Kyle asks why Audra wants to talk about his family.
Audra says it’s because she’s interested in him. Would he prefer if she didn’t ask him anything about his personal life?
Kyle smiles. He asks again about the risky proposition she keeps teasing him about.
Audra smirks and says she’s been called many things in her life, but she’s never been called a tease. She kisses him, and they make love again.
Cuddling and sweaty afterward, Audra says she’s glad they got that out of the way. They have all the time in the world now… No more sneaking around and looking over her shoulder to see if Nikki approves.
Kyle likes the sound of that.
Audra reminds Kyle he promised her he wouldn’t say “no” right away to her proposition… Is he ready to hear it?
Kyle says he is.
Audra asks what Kyle would think if she could offer him the position he wants at Jabot.
Kyle says he would be confused since his family owns the company… How would she pull that off?
Audra says the Abbotts own the company… For now.
Kyle asks if she’s going to make a move on Jabot.
Audra says it wouldn’t be her to make the move, but she’s a part of it.
Kyle says enough with the games… What is she asking him to do?
Audra says she wants Kyle to form an alliance with her and Tucker.
Society
Tucker tells Daniel he’s got it wrong. He wasn’t glaring at Phyllis; he was looking at her and was jealous to see them together as a family.
Daniel says the family has been working on things.
Tucker says he’s noticed, which made him wonder if he should be more forgiving of Ashley.
Daniel says it’s a good idea. Tucker should hop on the next plane to Paris and try it.
Tucker considers it. He asks if he can pick up the dinner tab for the table.
Daniel says he’ll think about it. He leaves Tucker at the bar and returns to the table with his mother and sister.
Phyllis asks what Tucker said to Daniel.
Daniel says Tucker wants to pay their tab and was admiring how Summer and Daniel have forgiven their mother.
Phyllis says Tucker doesn’t care about that… He’s playing mind games with them, but she’s happy to let him pick up the tab. It’s the least he could do.
Summer asks what she means by that. She’s been glaring at Tucker since Daniel talked to him, so what does Tucker owe her?
Phyllis says Tucker owes her nothing, and she doesn’t owe him anything. She proclaims she’s nothing like Tucker, even though he thinks differently.
Daniel figures Tucker might just be being generous.
Phyllis shakes her head. She calls over a waiter and asks for the bill.
The waiter tells her that “Mr. McCall” has handled it for them.
Phyllis says they should leave. Tucker is casting a shadow over their dinner.
Summer asks if Phyllis is going to thank Tucker before they leave.
Phyllis says she’ll send an email.
Daniel says he doesn’t see what could be wrong with saying thank you.
Phyllis looks uncertain but goes over to talk to Tucker.
She smiles at him and thanks him for dinner, adding that he’s a bottom-feeder.

The Abbott Mansion
Jack tells Billy he’s not saying they can trust Phyllis completely… They’ve been burned by her before.
Billy says they’re not the only ones. She’s lied, cheated, and stolen from almost everyone in town and has no problem sending them to jail.
Jack says he knows, but they must consider how she is now. He found the bug that Tucker planted because Phyllis told him about it.
Billy says he finds it hard to believe Phyllis told Jack about it out of the goodness of her heart.
Jack says he doesn’t care about her motivations as long as it benefits them. He’s nowhere near to forgiving her for what she put Diane, Summer, and Kyle through, but he’s grateful that she helped them.
Billy wonders what hold Tucker has on Phyllis. She must be exhausted, knowing her lies will catch up with her.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle asks Audra why he should consider joining forces with Tucker.
Audra says that Tucker will get his hands on Jabot one way or the other. Nobody’s better at company acquisitions than Tucker.
Kyle asks if Audra’s just playing him… Was that why they had sex?
Audra says she doesn’t have to seduce him to get him on board. He either will or he won’t.
Kyle says she already knows his answer.
Audra says he promised he’d think about it.
Kyle says he wasn’t expecting this.
Audra says Kyle owes it to himself to hear her out.
Kyle asks what Tucker offered her.
Audra says he promised her the CEO position at Jabot, and she would have Kyle run it with her. Tucker prefers to stay on the sidelines and wouldn’t be involved in the day-to-day operations. They could run Jabot the way it should be run!
Kyle says he’d have to betray his mother and father.
Audra says his father fired him while his mother stood by and did nothing.
Kyle says Diane wants him back at Jabot.
Audra says it’d be in a subservient position where he’d have to report to Billy. She says it’s an opportunity for Kyle, and he hasn’t said no.
Kyle climbs out of bed and starts getting dressed. He asks why he shouldn’t go to his father and warn him about this plan.
Audra says Jack and Billy already know that Tucker’s trying to make a move on Jabot. If Kyle told them, it’d compromise her, but she could take it.
Kyle says he’s not participating in her plan.
Audra asks why Kyle didn’t leave when she told him about it. He knows this makes sense, and she wants him to think about what’s best for him instead of settling for whatever crumbs his family throws at him.
Kyle says what she’s proposing would blow up their family dynasty.
Audra says it wouldn’t blow up if he were on board… Not if Kyle and Audra took over the family business and made it vital and exciting again.
Kyle says she’s not family.
Audra says that Jack doesn’t want to give him a chance, but Tucker and Audra can. It’d be the mistake of a lifetime if Kyle turned her down.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack tells Billy that Phyllis wouldn’t let Tucker force her to work against the Abbotts.
Billy says Phyllis only cares for herself, and he doesn’t see that she’s trying to change.
Jack says he’s seen a change. She cares what her children think of her, especially Summer.
Billy rolls his eyes and says that Phyllis pretended she was dead. She doesn’t sound like someone who cares about her children.
Jack says Phyllis is trying to win back her children’s hearts. She knows she played a huge role in ruining Summer and Kyle’s marriage and knows that if Tucker is making a play for Jabot, that will affect Marchetti and, ultimately, Summer’s livelihood… Phyllis wouldn’t want to do anything to hurt her daughter.
Society
Tucker tells Phyllis he knows she was feeding information about him to Jack.
Phyllis asks who told him.
Tucker scoffs and tells her not to insult his intelligence. What does she think she has on him?
Phyllis says she has plenty on him.
Tucker asks if she thinks she can play both sides.
Phyllis says if she did play sides, she wouldn’t be on his… Their business is concluded.
Tucker says normally he’d agree with her, but then she sold him out to the Abbotts, and he’s very upset about it. She’ll have to make it up to him.
Phyllis tells him that’ll happen when hell freezes over. She doesn’t owe him anything; they’re done doing business together.
Tucker pulls out his phone and plays an audio clip of Jack telling Billy that Phyllis has something on Tucker.
Phyllis shrugs… Tucker overheard a bit of a conversation, nothing more.
Daniel asks Summer what she thinks is keeping their mom over there talking with Tucker.
Summer says they should go find out.
Daniel agrees and finishes his drink.
Tucker sees Daniel and Summer get up. He tells Phyllis to meet him in his room in fifteen minutes.
Daniel and Summer walk over to the bar.
Tucker says he was congratulating their mother on their family unity, which made him think about getting back together with Ashley. He gets up and leaves the restaurant.
Daniel says it took Phyllis an awfully long time to say thank you.
Phyllis says Tucker just kept talking.
Summer tells Phyllis to tell them the truth. If she doesn’t, they’ll both walk out the door!
The Abbott Mansion
Billy tells Jack that Tucker isn’t backing down, even though they’ve threatened to go public with the information that Adam gave them.
Jack says Tucker doesn’t know that they know about the listening device. They can use it to misdirect him.
Billy doesn’t think that will work. Tucker’s not stupid and would know if they came up with something and let him listen to it.
Jack thinks he might be right, but what alternative do they have?
Society
Summer asks what’s going on between Phyllis and Tucker. They need to know.
Phyllis says she doesn’t want to lie to them… Jack asked if she could help get some information on Tucker, and she agreed to help him.
Daniel asks how she helped.
Phyllis says she hacked into Tucker’s computer and found out that he purchased some listening devices, and she figured he was going to use them against the Abbotts, so she told Jack about it.
Daniel figures Tucker must have found out about Phyllis’s betrayal.
Phyllis says he did and wanted her to help him, but she said no. She says Tucker has met his match with her.
Daniel and Summer just look at each other.
Phyllis asks what’s up… She did the right thing by helping the Abbotts. What’s wrong with that?
Summer says she’s made herself a target for Tucker.
Phyllis says that’s fine; she can handle him.
Daniel asks why Phyllis didn’t just tell Tucker and Jack that she didn’t want to be part of their game.
Phyllis says it’s more complicated than that… What would Daniel suggest she had done?
Daniel says she should have focused on her job and family. Sure, she wanted to help Jack, but she saw a shortcut and had to take it.
Phyllis says she can’t have this conversation with them anymore.
Summer says Daniel was only suggesting there was a less sketchy way to handle things.
Phyllis says there wasn’t. She did the right thing, but it’s not enough for them.
Daniel says she’s overreacting.
Phyllis says she’s not overreacting. She tried to do the right thing, but that’s not good enough. She’s over it! She returns to the table, finishes her glass of wine, and prepares to leave.
Daniel and Summer come over, and Daniel says he’s sorry.
Phyllis asks why he’d apologize… She’s a lifelong criminal and screw-up. She doesn’t deserve that.
Summer says they recognize she’s been trying to change herself… They haven’t been fair to her, but they’re worried she’s back on Tucker’s radar.
Phyllis says she can handle Tucker; they have to trust her.
Summer says they will, but Phyllis can’t do anything stupid.
Phyllis asks for them to give her the benefit of the doubt… She’s far from stupid. Her phone chimes. She says she has unfinished work at the office, and her boss is a real stickler. She asks if they can finish their celebration tomorrow.
Daniel and Summer agree.
Phyllis says it’s the beginning of her new life. She leaves the restaurant.
Summer tells Daniel she wishes they could have a normal night with their mom. She wants to believe in Phyllis, but she keeps pulling the rug from under them.
Daniel asks if Summer thinks there’s more to the story.
Summer says it’s their mom… There’s always more to the story, and it usually doesn’t have a happy ending.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack asks Billy what his plan is.
Billy says they need to stop playing games with Tucker. They need to release everything they have on him to the public. He’ll come after them and the company, but it’ll show him that the Abbotts aren’t backing down.
Kyle walks into the house, looking upset.
Jack asks what’s wrong.
Kyle says everything’s fine.
Jack says he doesn’t seem fine… What’s wrong?
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker lets Phyllis into his room and says he’s glad she’s falling into line.
Phyllis smirks and says Tucker’s about to fall into line, not her. She’s holding the cards this time.
Tucker laughs and says this ought to be amusing.
Phyllis says she was doing a deep dive into Tucker’s purchases, and she came across a very interesting connection to Mamie Johnson.
Tucker asks if that’s supposed to mean something to him.
Phyllis says it will mean something to Lily, Devon, and Jill Abbott when she tells them Tucker is silent partners with Mamie. She’s pretty sure that Tucker doesn’t want that information getting out. How should they proceed?
