Today’s Young and the Restless recap airs in the USA on Monday, November 6, 2023, and airs one day ahead in Canada. We post our Y&R recaps every weekday!
Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Billy suspected Tucker was using Kyle against Jabot, Ashley struck out with Tucker, and Nick was convinced by Adam they needed to work together.
Crimson Lights
Sharon, Tessa, and Mariah sit and talk over a coffee.
Tessa and Mariah are scared that the hearing aids might not work for Aria.
Newman Media
Nikki recalls her conversation with Nick and Victoria when she’d blamed Adam for Victor’s latest manipulations.
Claire interrupts Nikki’s reverie. She asks if Nikki wants her to follow up with accounting.
Nikki is deep in thought and appears troubled. She apologizes and says she’s having family issues.
Claire asks if everything’s okay… Is there something she can do? Is it one of Nikki’s children?
Nikki says she had a disagreement with Victor about how to handle something. It’ll resolve itself; everything will be fine.
The GCAC Dining Room
Nick and Adam sit down at a table. Nick isn’t confident in Adam’s plan to have “some random doctor” assess their father’s mental condition. He doesn’t believe Adam’s concern for their father.
Adam reminds Nick that he’s done a lot for the family… He recalls donating a kidney to Nick’s daughter.
Nick nods. He remembers.
Adam says he took a bullet for their father once.
Nick says that was a long time ago.
Adam tells Nick to tell that to his scar. He says their father may be a judgmental egomaniac, but he won’t let their father slip away without fighting for him.
Nick seems to see Adam in a new light. Maybe.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria walks into Victor’s office. She needs to speak to him about a contract he agreed to.
Victor says he was just about to leave. Can this wait until tomorrow?
Victoria says it can’t wait. She drops the contract on his desk. She says it’s not a good deal.
Victor is confused… What’s wrong with it?
Victoria explains the numbers aren’t financially sound, and any Newman executive that looked at it would agree. Maybe he misread the proposal, but this isn’t the type of deal Victor would normally be interested in.
Victoria needs to understand why Victor thinks it’s a good move to agree to this deal.
Victor asks her if she thinks he’s unfit to run his company.
Crimson Lights
Sharon understands that Mariah and Tessa are scared, but what are they really worried about?
They talk about how Aria might grow up feeling different.
Sharon says Aria will be fine; they need to find communities to be involved with.
Tessa and Mariah’s biggest fear is what will happen if the hearing aids don’t work.
Sharon reassures them that the hearing aids will probably work.
Tessa and Mariah can’t wait for the day to be over. They want their girl to hear their voices.
The GCAC Dining Room
Nick is very skeptical about the doctor’s ability to asses their father without Victor noticing. He says Victor will wonder why Adam invited a stranger to join them. He asks how Adam knows the doctor.
Adam says this is a last resort… Victor would probably pay for someone to say he was perfectly fine.
Nick nods. That is something their father would do, but this isn’t a normal situation.
Adam asks Nick to go along with the plan. He wants to find out if Victor needs them more than he will admit.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria tells her father that she’s not questioning his decision-making ability. She’s asking for what he saw in the contract that swayed his decision.
Victor says if he has to explain what a good deal looks like to Victoria, he is mistaken about her. He gets up and says he will meet Adam at the club, where they’ll discuss the Kirsten, McCall, and Newman Media merger.
Victoria starts talking but is interrupted by Nate, who rushes in and says he’d happily drive Victor to his meeting.
Victor asks why he’d do that. He raises his voice and says Victoria questioned his business acumen, and he has his own damn driver!
Victoria says Nate was only trying to help.
Victor stomps off into the elevator, saying the whole thing is ridiculous.
Crimson Lights
Sharon hugs Tessa and Mariah goodbye. She wishes them good luck at the fitting.
Tessa smiles and says the next time Sharon sees Aria, she’ll be able to hear her silly baby talk.
Mariah promises to video call Sharon the moment they finish the appointment.
Newman Media
Claire apologizes to Nikki if it sounded like she was prying.
Nikki says she did nothing wrong.
Claire says she’ll be at her desk and is always available to listen.
Nikki thanks her.
Claire leaves Nikki’s office and takes a deep breath, looking unhappy.
The GCAC Dining Room
Nick snipes at Adam that he must love pissing their father off because it’s definitely going to happen today.
Adam tells Nick he can stay or go, but he’s not talking about it anymore.
Nick says he’s sticking around because he doesn’t trust how Adam will handle it.
Nick recalls his father acting confused when he confronted Victor with Victoria. Victoria thought Victor was setting another trap for her.
Victor enters the club and sits down at the table, happy to see his two sons sitting together, ready to talk about building a powerful new media empire.
Adam gives Nick a look.
Nick tells their father that his act has to stop right now.

Newman Enterprises
Victoria asks Nate what the hell that was about… Her father just left to a meeting with Adam about something that had already happened, and Nate stopped her from correcting him!
Nate says correcting Victor wouldn’t do any good and might agitate him.
Victoria asks what they’re supposed to do… Pretend things are fine? They should have at least tried to stop him from going to the meeting because Adam will use it to his own advantage. He might even expose Victor’s weakness to the world, which could hurt the company’s image.
Nate tells Victoria to take a seat. He told Victor he wouldn’t tell anyone, but realized that this shouldn’t be a secret from Victoria… Victor confided in him that he’s worried something is terribly wrong with him.
Victoria asks if her father wants help.
Nate nods. He says Victor asked for his help discreetly. Once they have a diagnosis, they’ll figure out what their next move is. Nate agreed to it and will do whatever he can to help.
Victoria’s upset that Nate didn’t tell her right away.
Nate says he doesn’t want secrets between them. Victor admitted he wanted help and seemed scared. He told Victor that the best way to get a proper diagnosis is to go away to a clinic.
Victoria asks if Nate is talking about “putting him away.”
Nate says it’s too risky for a specialist to see him; he needs to go somewhere private so the news wouldn’t leak to the press.
Victoria says the fallout from that would be devastating for the company. She asks if Nate knows a place that would take Victor and is safe from leaks.
Nate says he does. He’s met some specialists there through the years.
Victoria asks how long until they’d get a diagnosis.
Nate says it could be a week or longer, depending on how cooperative Victor is. Victor isn’t on board yet, but Nate made it clear that it had to be Victor’s decision to do this.
Victoria asks if Nate really thinks this is the right course of action.
Nate says he does. He explains that they can say Victor’s on an extended business trip, and Victoria can step in as interim CEO and ensure the company runs smoothly in Victor’s absence.
Victoria asks if Nate got Victor’s approval on that last part. She can’t imagine Victor would take that very well.
Nate says Victor said he’d think about it. He said he needed to meet with Adam before he made a decision.
Victoria smirks. Adam? He can’t be trusted under normal circumstances, and now he’s meeting with her father, who’s in crisis. She rushes out of the office.
The GCAC Dining Room
Nick tells his dad that there’s no tiptoeing around it… Victor needs help.
Victor asks what he’s talking about.
Nick says his memory is failing, and he’s losing his grasp on reality. He’s been having problems making the brilliant business decisions he’s known for. There’s something clearly wrong, and it’s only getting worse. He says that Adam brought him to stage a meeting with a specialist who could observe and diagnose him.
Victor asks Adam if it’s true.
The Audiology Clinic
Dr. George arrives with Aria’s hearing aids.
Mariah says they were in agony waiting for them.
Dr. George says it’s only been a few weeks since Aria was diagnosed with “sensory neural hearing loss” and fitted for hearing aids, but it probably felt longer for them.
Tessa says they just wanted to get a fix for Aria’s problem as soon as they could.
Dr. George explains the steps she’ll have to take, ensuring the fit is right, and then do some tests to ensure she can hear speech through them.
Mariah asks what happens then.
Dr. George says she’ll explain how to take care of the hearing aids, and will have some tips for them. Aria won’t like having things in her ears, so she might try to take them out.
Mariah asks how to convince their child that the hearing aids are a good thing.
Dr. George says they need to start gradually. They’ll put in the hearing aids for short periods of time and build it up. Make it fun.
Tessa says they’ll do whatever it takes.
Dr. George sits down and preps the hearing aids.
Newman Enterprises
Nate runs into Claire in the elevator lobby. He says she’s looking a little stressed and asks if Nikki is piling on work.
Claire says Nikki’s very supportive and thanks her a lot, which isn’t common.
Nate says it should be. He asks why she has that expression on her face if everything is going well.
Claire says she’s a “Type-A overachieving people pleaser.”
Nate laughs and says it sounds right.
Claire says she wants to be the best assistant Nikki’s ever had, so she tries to anticipate her needs, but in hindsight, she’s not always sure she does the right things. She might have mistaken Nikki’s friendliness and asked her some too-personal questions.
Nate says Nikki will let her know if she crossed a line.
Claire nods. Nikki’s not the type to hide how she feels.
Nate says that’s a Newman family trait.
Claire thanks him for talking him down. She says Nate seems to have mastered the art of succeeding at Newman without being a Newman. She asks if they could get together outside the office so he can give her some pointers.
The GCAC Dining Room
Adam glares at Nick and tells Victor he spoke to a specialist because he wanted to understand what was happening to him. Like Nick said, Victor’s been confused lately.
Victor says, “The hell I have!”
Adam says everyone’s noticed it, but Victor only denies it because he doesn’t want to show any weakness. He says Victor’s shift was sudden, and he was concerned.
Victor says Adam tried to trick him.
Adam says he wanted to help him, but he knew that Victor would refuse to meet with a specialist.
Victor says of course he’d refuse.
Adam says he wanted to believe he was wrong, he just wanted a simple fix to whatever is going on with Victor.
Victor leans in and tells Adam that he doesn’t need a specialist and doesn’t need anyone to help him. The fact that Adam tried to trick him tells him everything he needs to know! He stands up.
Victoria rushes into the club and sees Victor getting up to leave.
Victor asks what she’s doing there. Does she have something to say about her father as well?
Victoria says she knew he was meeting with Adam to discuss a deal.
Victor asks if she’s trying to insert herself into the deal. Is that why she’s here?
Victoria says she was just there to observe. She doesn’t trust Adam.
Adam asks Nick if he planned this with Victoria… To ambush him in front of Victor?
Victor asks what the hell they’re talking about.
Victoria says they’re talking about their father and whatever is happening with him.
Victor says they’re all going to the office now. They will talk about it there. He leaves, and his children follow.
The Audiology Clinic
Dr. George says the hearing aids are in.
Mariah and Tessa call Aria’s name. Aria seems to react a bit.
Tessa kneels down and starts singing to Aria. Aria looks at her and holds an ear.
Mariah calls her name, and Aria looks up at her. Mariah smiles as she realizes their baby can hear them.
Tessa and Mariah laugh and hold their baby, happy.
Newman Enterprises
Nate tells Claire that the Newmans are private, and they protect their own. They’ve dealt with a lot of threats over the years, so they have every reason to be cautious.
Claire says she understands. She wants to be someone Nikki can trust as much as possible.
Nate says she should listen to her instincts, but he doesn’t think he’s the right one to give her advice. He’s pressed for time, but they can get a coffee sometime, and he’ll dispense wisdom about how to navigate the Newman corporate waters. He leaves.
Crimson Lights
Sharon gives Claire a coffee to go and asks if it’s for Nikki Newman.
Claire asks how she knew.
Sharon says she’s made tons of those same drinks for Nikki over the years.
Claire asks if Sharon knows Nikki well.
Sharon says she does.
Claire says she would; she’s her mother-in-law… Her family.
Sharon says that’s right… In a way.
Claire’s phone rings. She excuses herself and takes the call on the indoor patio.
It’s her aunt Jordan. Claire says she understands. She thought she’d have more time, and she’s been making good progress. Consider it done. She ends the call, saying, “I love you, too.”
Tessa and Mariah walk in with Aria and greet Sharon.
Sharon is happy to see them. It’s not a video chat; it’s better! She asks if Aria is wearing her hearing aids.
Mariah says she is. Say hello to your granddaughter!
Sharon asks if Aria had fun at the doctor’s. Aria gurgles in response and Sharon thinks she heard her. Sharon’s so happy.
Mariah says they’re feeling a lot of joy.
Sharon says she was ready, just in case. She makes the ASL sign for “grandmother.”
Newman Enterprises
Victoria, Nick, and Adam meet Victor in his office. Victoria tells her father that she doesn’t know what to think… She’s been worried about him for a while now, and Nick and Adam didn’t believe her when she first brought it up.
Nick says they’ll get Victor the help he needs. His health is the most important thing.
Nate and Nikki walk in. Nate asks what’s going on.
Nikki looks around and asks Victor what’s happening.
Victor says, “The time has come to tell you all the truth.”

Please let Adam be the one Victor trusts let Adam be the new CEO of Newman interprise it’s his time
Agreed
We are wasting to much time in the hour show. Everybody thinking back in black and white
I wish Adam would get everything they have treated him bad his whole life
Been watching Young and Restless for 40 years now. And love it
I’m tired of Victor playing these games with his kids! So happy for Aria and the girls I hope this is all they have to go through! And I don’t know about Nikki’s helper don’t remember a Jordan!
Well Victor play this part but let Nick take charge alone side his mother.
Am so fed up with the nonsense of Victor…I thought he was Y&R…if he has dementia, let him retire instead of killing g him off with brain issues or someone gives him a heart attack….this Victor thing is getting boring. And this Claire, she doesn’t look like she’s a Newman..she looks too simple.Put the show in bling being…Tucker is out too n Kyle, too big baby.
In real life victor has prostate cancer. I think they are just trying to come up with something for when he needs a break. He claims he will beat this. He also said Y&R is his passion and has no plan on leaving the show.
I agree on all the comments.
Adam and Sally need to end for good I’ve heard CH wants to go back to B&B which is great and when she does she should get a new love interest in the form of Oliver Jones played again by Zack Conroy.
It’s time for everyone to
Acknowledged that Adam
means Victor no harm, just that Adam loves Victor also. It’s time for Adam to shine. Give him a break.
Yes I feel the same way Adam loves his dad very much the soap opera should show that outside children can love their parent as much as the other children. And Adam have stepped up for his family many times starting with taking a bullet for dad, giving Faith a kidney. Come on Nick and Victoria give him a break
I cant stand nikki Victoria and nick how they treat adam come on it’s time to give him a chance my God he can do better no wonder he is like he is hope him and Sally are back together I cant stand them 3 nikki Victoria nick rich asses cant stand them and nikki treating adam like if I was victor I would put her ass to the curb over my child give adam a chance victor give him some love like u do the other 3
Victor put adam frist for once I hate how he is treated all the time by nikki nick and victoria it’s not his fault he done belong to nikki that he had a pretty mom cant stand nikki and cant stand how kile is doing summer either but hope she ends up with chance they need a baby of their own to show everyone and love Devon and abby together and cant stand Christina and love Philip and Danny together cant stand Jack and diane and love Billy and chess together cand cant audra or sharon or clorie she needs to leave adam alone to they dont give adam a chance on here and bring Victoria and nick down and nikki I’m bout to quik watching it
I think Adam should be treated better by Nikki and Victoria they just jealous that he’s going to get some of what they have he and Sally should leave start thier own business
I really dislike how Nikki, Victoria, and Nick pile on the venom when it comes to Adam. They have disliked him from the beginning. He has changed and wants to have a relationship with his father. I don’t like Victoria’s attitude. She is a real B. Nikki constantly tells Victor to just throw his son away. No parent gives up on their child, no matter what the child do. You still love that child and get it the help it needs.
I agree Adam deserves a break. It’s his time to shine
He should be appointed head of Newman Media
Victoria CEO of Newman and Nick CO-CEO
Victor and Nikki should retire
It’s time for Adam to shine
Please let nick be with Sally nick is a good guy
I am tired of Victoria and Niki, they act like they don’t have skeletons in their lives. They both have done so much wrong in their past.
I’m ready for Adam to get a break: he is trying so hard and Sally belongs with adam, they were a couple first and they still love each other
I think Victor open door open for his granddaughter who finishing college take over (Faye) she said she go school come back run newman
I too hate how Adam is treated by the rest of the family..I wish for him and Sally to be back together..I don’t think her and Nicholas make a good couple..and Adam should be back at the top of Newman Enterprises..Victoria should get over her holier then thou self..she’s no angel by a long shot..I hope you’re no killing off Chance again. Just saying..
yes! couldn’t agree more🤞
