Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Summer & Chance had a sizzling encounter, Jordan ignited chaos at Victoria’s home, and Danny firmly ended things with Phyllis.
Victoria’s House
Victor and Victoria sit in a car in front of Victoria’s burning house.
A fireman approaches the car and tells Victoria they have to move; they can’t be this close to the fire.
Victoria cries that it’s her home.
Newman Ranch
Nikki tells Claire it must have been Jordan; they should have known she’d go this far!
Claire says that fire is Jordan’s weapon of choice. Jordan had told Claire that “a good fire is often the perfect solution for a bad situation.” She says the prison fire was a success… Why would she stop there?
Nikki says Jordan is pure evil.
Claire says the moment Jordan heard that she and Victoria were in the house, it went up in flames. Jordan couldn’t wait to light the match! She says the woman who raised her and told her she was her salvation couldn’t wait to burn the place to the ground with Claire in it!
Tucker’s Suite at the Genoa City Athletic Club
Tucker is packing some clothes into a suitcase when there’s a knock at the door. He answers the door to see Abby there and asks her if there’s something wrong.
Abby says he actually sounds concerned. She stalks into his room and asks what game he’s playing with her mom.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley pours herself a drink as Jack walks into the room in his housecoat.
Jack says he thought he heard someone downstairs… What’s Ashley doing up so late? Is something bothering her?
Ashley says she’s not sure. She was so exhausted that she didn’t change out of her clothes, and then she had a bizarre dream that woke her up. She dreamed that she was with Jack and Traci at the Athletic Club. Jack was yelling at her loudly, but she couldn’t understand what he was saying. Suddenly, Tucker was by her side.
Jack says Tucker’s even a nuisance in dreams.
Ashley says Tucker was translating for her to tell her what Jack was saying.
Jack hopes she put “dream Tucker” in his place.
Ashley says she didn’t… Everything Tucker said to her was making sense.
Jack doesn’t like the sound of that. He says the dream must mean that Tucker understands the situation better than Ashley.
Ashley says it was like she was somebody else in her dream… Somebody she didn’t even know.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker apologizes to Abby, telling her he doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
Abby says they both know that’s a lie.
Tucker says it’s been clear for a while that things are over between him and Ashley.
Abby scoffs. Clear to whom? It’s clear to her that Tucker’s messing with her mom’s head! It’s disgusting! Her mom loved Tucker not once but twice and defended him. She says her mom saw something in Tucker that nobody else did, but instead of realizing how lucky he was to have her, he kept pushing her repeatedly until she lost part of herself. She asks if he started playing these “games” to punish her because he realized he didn’t deserve her.
Tucker asks Abby if she’d like to sit down, but she declines, angry. He asks what Ashley told her.
Abby says he’s not going to put this on her or her mother. She wants him to come clean for once in his life! What did he do?
Tucker says he can’t tell her what he allegedly did unless she tells him.
Abby won’t give in. She tells him to stop playing an innocent, clueless guy. He’s never been either of those things!
Tucker says he’ll tell her what he knows. He says Ashley has been acting strange since she returned from France. At first, he thought that Ashley was playing games or devising some revenge scheme to get back at him.
Abby is incredulous. Does he think Ashley is the one being vengeful? She thinks he’s projecting and feels guilty. Did he do something to her mom that she’d want to punish him for?
Tucker says Ashley admitted that his version of what happened in Paris was the correct one, but there’s a possibility that Ashley is just pretending to set him up for something.
Abby asks what her mom would be setting him up for.
Tucker says he doesn’t know, and honestly, he’s starting not to care. He’s moved on.
Victoria’s House / Newman Ranch
The fireman tells Victoria they’re doing their best to extinguish the fire, but the blaze spread rapidly.
Victoria cries, saying everything she and her kids know and love is in the house.
The fireman says all they can do right now is to keep the fire from spreading to the woods. He says it’s unsafe for her to be there and asks her to leave.
Victoria cries, and her father comforts her. She says this can’t be happening.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Nikki tells Claire that she’s thankful that Claire, Victoria, Johnny, and Katie weren’t home when Jordan set Victoria’s house alight. She says Jordan would have let them burn with no remorse. It’ll never be enough for her! Nikki’s phone rings. It’s Victor.
Victor tells Nikki that the house is burning down.
Nikki cries. “Oh God, no!”
Victor tells Nikki that nothing can be saved, so he and Victoria are on their way back to the ranch. He says Victoria is devastated, and they end the call.
Nikki instinctively heads to the booze tray and says that first it was Seth, and now this… She can’t handle it! It’s too much!
Claire asks how she can help.
Nikki says Claire needs to talk to her about anything but Jordan. Just start and don’t stop! She asks Claire to tell her something funny or outrageous—anything to distract her!
They sit down on the couch. Claire tells her about the girl in the hospital… Nadia. She says Nadia’s smart and loved the book that Victoria brought her about Greek mythology. She says Athena is Nadia’s favorite goddess, and she’s Claire’s, too.
Nikki sits, shaking. She asks Claire to keep talking.
Claire says Athena is Zeus’s daughter, and Nadia told her that she wanted to change her name to Athena so she could be strong, brave, and everyone’s favorite.
Nikki says Nadia is a smart girl.
Claire says when Nadia told her that, she cried a bit… Not in a sad way, but it made her feel like Nadia had explained something in her heart that she didn’t know was there. She realized that she’d always wanted to be someone’s favorite.
Nikki nods. She says Claire touched Nadia’s heart, too, and Claire has a gift for speaking to children in a way that makes them feel heard. She says when Claire has completely recovered and starts thinking about what she wants to do in the world, she should consider a career that would allow her to work with children.
Claire says she never thought about that; she never had any plans growing up because her future “didn’t belong to her.” She’ll need to fill her day with something that matters, and she’d love to work with children. She says she sees sweetness and innocence in their eyes.
Nikki says children still see the magic in the world.
Claire smiles and says she wants to see the magic, too. She doesn’t want to be jaded and disappointed in the world, and maybe working with kids could help her… She’d be able to give something back, too.
Nikki says she definitely could.
Claire shrugs, saying she doesn’t have any training. She questions who would let her near their child, knowing she had a criminal record.
Nikki says she shouldn’t sell herself short. She has a lot to offer any potential employer; she’s a fast learner and can juggle many things. She says Claire has an amazing eye for detail and the best references she could have; her family will vouch for her and tell anybody who asks how special she is.
Claire tears up and smiles. She thanks Nikki; it means a lot to her.
Nikki says they’ll find a way to make it happen.
Claire says nothing can happen until her aunt is locked away forever… Then, her new life can begin.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Abby looks at Tucker’s suitcase and hopes it means that he’s leaving Genoa City for good.
Tucker says he’s going to Paris for a few days; part business, part pleasure.
Abby says it’d be a pleasure for her and everyone in town if he made the business trip permanent. She says everyone is over his lies and deceit, and his manipulation of Ashley affects Devon and Dominic. She tells him to pack his bags and be gone for good.
Tucker says he’s stayed away from Devon at his request.
Abby says it’s not enough… Tucker being in town is a constant reminder of what a disappointing father he is. She tells him that if he has an ounce of decency, he’d leave for London, Paris, or anywhere but Genoa City!
Tucker asks her what’s prompted her outrage. Has Ashley accused him of something else? Did something happen?
Abby says something happened… Ashley tried to convince Devon to forgive Tucker!
The Abbott Manor
Jack tells Ashley that her dreams are her fears and anxieties bubbling to the surface… None of it was real.
Ashley says it means that Tucker is in her head.
Jack says Ashley told him that she was past Tucker and that they had no connection anymore. He wishes Tucker would leave town so Ashley wouldn’t have to keep seeing him.
Ashley says that won’t happen. Despite everyone turning against him, Tucker isn’t leaving.
Jack says they need to figure out a way to get Tucker out of her system. He hates to ask, but he wonders if Ashley really wants Tucker out of her life.
Ashley tells Jack not to get angry with her, but she’s not sure… Sometimes, she feels like she’s moved on, but then a shift comes over her, and she sees Tucker differently like she should forgive him and give him another chance.
Jack says he hates that Tucker still has a hold on Ashley. He says Tucker doesn’t deserve a second chance or Ashley’s forgiveness. He asks how he can help her “break the cycle.”
Ashley says she needs to deal with this on her own.
Jack says going at it alone hasn’t really worked so far.
Ashley laughs and says he’s right. She says she doesn’t know what’s happening with her. Sometimes, she feels detached from “the chaos” and knows that Tucker is the worst thing for her.
Jack says he’s not surprised; she’s been under a lot of stress lately and hasn’t been able to regain her footing since Paris, but she will regain it. He says she shouldn’t be so hard on herself and allow him and Traci to be there for her. She’ll get past this!
Ashley says she loves that Jack believes that.
Jack says Ashley needs to believe it, too. He asks about her psychologist friend in Paris that Traci told him about.
Ashley says she was thinking about her friend and that she could call him now, since it’s the morning in Paris. She tells Jack he doesn’t need to stay with her—he should go back to bed!
Jack says she can’t get rid of him that easily. He has another plan.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker tells Abby he’s surprised that Ashley went to Devon on his behalf.
Abby says her mother had said she had misinterpreted their fight in Paris, and she didn’t want to do any more damage to Devon and Tucker’s father/son relationship.
Tucker’s surprised. He asks how Devon reacted.
Abby says she doesn’t know… Devon cares about Ashley, but it was Tucker who ruined his relationship with his son, and Devon can’t expect him to forgive him overnight.
Tucker is confused. He asks why Abby is there and is all worked up if nothing has changed.
Abby says that Ashley must be considering forgiving Tucker. She says if he has moved on, he should stay away from everyone, including Devon, Dominic, and her mother.
Tucker asks her if she speaks for them all. He figures Abby thinks that Devon will forgive him in the future; is that why she’s here?
Abby says maybe Devon will forgive him. She encouraged Devon in the past to forgive him because Devon deserves a father and Dominic deserves a grandfather, but Tucker only hurts people. She tells him not to take advantage of it if her mother is softening toward him, or there will be hell to pay, and if her mom is planning some sort of “revenge play,” she hopes he’s crushed like a bug. She warns him not to pull any “sleazy moves” on her family, or he’ll regret it. She glares at him and leaves his room, slamming the door behind her.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley is sitting in an armchair when she suddenly holds her head. Voices in her head are talking. “Is this the right thing? I’m scared.” “What? Damn it, what’s she done now?“
Ashley whispers, “Get out of my head,” but the voices continue. “We can’t let this happen again.”
Ashley’s mood has shifted. She’s no longer confused; she looks in complete control.
Newman Ranch
Claire apologizes to Nikki for mentioning her aunt… That’s not what Nikki needs right now.
Nikki says it’s alright. The moment has passed, and Jordan will be dealt with soon enough… They’ll be able to put their lives back together again.
Claire says she’s only seen photos of her mom’s house, and now Victoria’s lost everything.
Nikki says Victoria hasn’t lost everything; she still has her precious and irreplaceable treasures… Claire and her family. She says Victoria can buy new things, and they can all recover from what Jordan has put them through because they have each other. The Newmans protect each other no matter what!
Claire nods. Family.
Nikki says it’s Claire’s family, and soon, Claire will be able to put this all behind her and put her skills to use again.
Claire says Nikki is good at making her feel she has something to offer the world. She says it will be a while before she has any kind of career.
Nikki disagrees. Claire’s already made great progress.
Claire says the doctors have helped her through things, but she feels stronger because of her new family’s support. It’s hard to believe how kind and generous they have been to her after everything she’d done.
Nikki says Claire’s aunt made that a challenge, but Claire is her granddaughter, which matters most. She takes Claire’s hand.
Claire asks if she can get Nikki more tea.
Nikki smiles. “Yes, please.” She thanks Claire for talking with her… It was just what she needed.
Claire leaves the room to get the tea.
A moment later, Victoria and Victor walk in, and Nikki hugs Victoria, comforting her.
Victoria cries and says the pictures of her children and all her keepsakes are gone.
Nikki says they’re just things that can be replaced. She’s thankful that everyone is safe.
Claire walks in and hugs Victoria.
Victor says they all know who’s responsible for the fire.
Nikki says Jordan is despicable; she wants to tear her limb from limb after everything she’s done to her and her family… Jordan deserves to rot in hell!
Claire says Jordan must be feeling alone and desperate… That’s why this happened. Usually, Jordan takes her time and plans her moves carefully. She’s lashing out and has nothing left to lose.
Nikki doesn’t think that’s a good sign.
Claire says it means Jordan could be more dangerous than before, but it also means she might be getting sloppy.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack walks into the living room with a couple of plates of lemon meringue pie. He proclaims he’s found the perfect late-night snack and says he heard Ashley talking earlier… Did she call her friend in Paris?
Ashley says she did… She got his voicemail and left a message. She’s sure she’ll hear back from him soon.
Jack says he’s happy that it gives her peace.
Ashley says he doesn’t have to wait up with her.
Jack says not to worry… They can sit, eat pie, and talk.
Ashley says she’s going to take a walk and clear her head.
Jack is surprised… It’s freezing out!
Ashley says it’s brisk, and the air is fresh… It’s just what she needs to clear her head. She tells him not to eat her pie; she’ll be back for it!
Jack laughs and agrees.
Ashley leaves the house.
Diane walks downstairs in her housecoat and asks Jack what he’s doing up.
Jack says he heard Ashley pacing and he came downstairs to check on her. He says Ashley is in knots about Tucker again, and no matter what he does, he can’t seem to help her.
Diane thinks it’s time for Jack to give Ashley space. She’s battling her demons, but she has to do it on her own now.
The GCAC Dining Room
Devon walks into the club and approaches Abby, who is sitting at the bar. He kisses her in greeting.
Abby tells Devon she just confronted Tucker. She says she needed him to know that Ashley’s “new” attitude toward him wouldn’t open any doors, but Tucker wouldn’t say he’d stay away from her.
Devon asks why Abby would waste her time talking to Tucker; he’s too self-centered to give a damn about anybody else!
Abby says she knows, but she couldn’t sit back and do nothing! Tucker is frustrating, and having it out with him felt so good.
Devon asks what she said to him.
Abby says she didn’t just defend her mom; she told Tucker he’d have to deal with her if he hurt anybody else in her family. She says Tucker was packing for a business trip, but she told him to make it permanent because nobody wants him in town. He needs to stay away from her family forever!
Devon appreciates Abby is looking out for everyone, but she doesn’t have to protect him from Tucker.
Abby says she knows that, but Tucker needs to realize he can’t intrude on their family. She’s sure Tucker twisted what she said and took it as encouragement.
Devon asks what she means.
Abby says she told Tucker that Ashley had talked to Devon about possibly forgiving him, and Tucker got a sparkle in his eye like he thought he could reconcile with Devon and Ashley. She says he seemed hopeful that Devon would give him another chance.
Devon nods. He says Tucker is hopeful because he has given him second chances before.
Abby tells Devon he’d better be finished with second chances for Tucker. She warns him not to make that mistake again.
Devon says he’s been down that road too many times with Tucker, and he doesn’t want to get burned again.
Abby is happy to hear it.
Devon says Tucker lies too much; he doesn’t want that around his family, either! He says it’s his turn to tell Abby to stay clear of him.
Abby says she wants nothing more than to be finished with Tucker McCall, but her mother has a “weird” connection with him, and the connection keeps him tied to their family.
Devon asks Abby what she thinks is going on with her mom.
Abby says she doesn’t know what’s happening with her mom, but she doesn’t like it. She thought they were done with Tucker, but her mom is suddenly drawing him back in.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack tells Diane that he can see why Ashley feels she needs to work things out on her own, but she may not be capable of it. He reminds her that Ashley had denied being in a relationship with Tucker, but then, they were suddenly set to get married. Jack had warned her that the marriage would end badly, but she married Tucker anyhow. He says, “Here we go again!”
Diane says she knows Jack is concerned about Ashley, but he’s done everything he can to help her, and even Diane tried to help. She says Jack needs to let it go and let Ashley make her own decisions.
Jack says it’d be easier if Ashley would actually make a decision. He says he doesn’t know what’s happening with her right now… One moment, she’s confused and torn up; the next, she’s just fine and in complete control of herself!
Diane says Ashley is just working through things. She tells Jack to give it time; when Ashley holds a grudge, she holds it tightly, and she thinks Tucker will soon start to feel the power of Ashley’s grip.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker pours himself a drink and recalls when Ashley visited him in his room. Tucker had said that Ashley had either brainwashed herself or was setting him up for something, and Ashley had told him she wasn’t playing any games with him.
Tucker drains the glass of booze and starts packing again. He shakes his head and says, “Oh, Ashley. What’s going on with you now?”
Newman Ranch
Nikki says it’s time to turn up the heat on “that monster” and flush her out of hiding. They need to go to the media and let them know about Jordan’s heinous attack on their family. They can’t hold back!
Victoria says they can’t publicly accuse Jordan of being an arsonist without any proof.
Victor says contacting the press could provoke Jordan into more violent attacks on their family. He knew Jordan would react, but he didn’t think she’d go this far.
Nikki says Jordan is pure evil.
Victor says he’ll convince Jordan to meet with him.
Nikki’s worried that Victor will succeed… Jordan is so desperate she’ll try anything!
Victor says Jordan won’t get the upper hand with him.
The Abbott Mansion / Newman Ranch
Diane tells Jack he’s been an incredibly supportive big brother, but it’s time to let Ashley work this out on her own.
Jack says he hears her point, and she’s probably right.
Diane laughs and says he doesn’t want to listen to her.
Jack says he never wants to listen, but he will this time.
Diane grins and kisses him.
Jack says he’s noticed how supportive Diane has been and how far she and Ashley have come.
Diane pssh’s and says he shouldn’t make so much of it.
Jack says after everything Ashley has put her through, Diane has managed to rise above it and take her place in the family.
Diane says it’s because of Jack; she adores him, and he deserves a peaceful household. They kiss.
Jack says he hopes the mess with Tucker doesn’t throw a wrench into their peace.
Diane says Jack’s spread himself thin lately. She loves how Jack takes care of people and wouldn’t change it for the world, but she’d love for things to get “a bit better” for everyone.
At the Newman ranch, Nikki wanders around the darkened living room. She’s shaking and approaches the liquor tray and taps it nervously. She picks up her phone and makes a call.
Jack’s phone rings. He tells Diane it’s Nikki and answers the phone.
Nikki apologizes for calling him so late. She tells him she’s having a rough time.
Jack asks where she is, and she tells him she’s at home. Jack says he’ll be there in half an hour and ends the call.
Diane says it’s obvious Nikki needs him. She tells him not to argue; she’ll wait up for him to return.
Jack smiles and tells Diane he loves her. He kisses her and heads upstairs to get dressed.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Abby and Devon leave the dining room and head to the lobby, where they meet Ashley, who’s just entered the club. Abby asks what Ashley is doing there so late.
Ashley lies and says she was at the lab. She got so involved in her chemistry that she didn’t realize what time it was… She’s starving and came by to get a quick bite. She asks if they’d like to join her.
Abby says they have to get home to Dominic. She tells Ashley to follow them home… They’ll pick something up, and if they’re lucky, Dominic will be awake and he can join them.
Ashley declines and says she’ll get a bite to eat at the club.
Abby asks if Ashley is there for the food. There are many places to eat in town, but Tucker is at the club.
Ashley laughs and says she’s not there for Tucker. She tells Abby to quit worrying about her… She’s fine!
Abby tells her not to stay out too late. She leaves the club with Devon.
Ashley watches them leave and pulls out her phone. She sends Tucker a message. “Need to see you ASAP. I’m downstairs. It’s urgent.”

Danny on what he did to Phyllis, to go back to cry baby Christine. Her divorce isn’t final and she’s going after Danny. The both of them shouldn’t be on the show. Sorry that’s the way I feel.
This show DESPERATELY needs new writers. Please stop revisiting old storyline. Danny, Christine and Phyllis are all very talented actors who are given very little to work with. It’s time for them to let something good happen for Ashley, this has gone on long enough. Please stop repeating old storyline and bring some fresh blood into the writers.
