Today’s Young and the Restless recap airs in the USA on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, and airs one day ahead in Canada. We post our Y&R recaps every weekday!
Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Jordan killed Seth and changed her looks as Mamie tried to convince Amanda & Jill to undo the merger.
Society
Phyllis walks into the restaurant with a bottle of wine. She sashays up to the bar and says hello to Abby.
Abby says part of her was hoping Phyllis wouldn’t show up.
Phyllis laughs and says she’s paying Abby handsomely for renting out the restaurant. She says if tonight goes as planned, this could be the start of something amazing.
Abby asks what Phyllis is up to by renting out Society.
Phyllis leans in and says she’s having dinner with Danny Romalotti, and he’s making pasta with his special sauce.
Abby says she gets it… Danny doesn’t want to cook for Phyllis at his house so he’s not alone with her. He wants to be in public with witnesses!
Phyllis scoffs and says that’s ridiculous. She looks over and asks what’s going on with a couple who are sitting and talking… Can they shoo them out or something?
Abby says the couple paid, and they’re obviously in love.
Phyllis says the couple needs to take their date somewhere else. She goes to rush them out, but Abby stops her. Phyllis claims she was going to buy a drink for them… Somewhere else.
Abby tells her not to make her change her mind about renting out the restaurant.
Outside the restaurant, Danny tells Christine she doesn’t need to accompany him.
Christine says she does need to be there… She doesn’t trust Phyllis as far as she can throw her!
Danny asks if she trusts him.
Christine says she does, but with Phyllis in the mix, anything can happen, and it’s never good.
Danny understands. He says it’s a delicate conversation, and he thinks he should speak to her alone.
Christine says it’ll just be him and Phyllis, and she’ll twist everything he says. Christine will be backup so Phyllis won’t plant a kiss on him and say he initiated it.
Danny says she’s really thought it out.
Christine says it’s happened too many times before… She won’t let it happen again.
Danny nods. She’s right; tonight, it ends. He asks Christine to give him a head start so he can defuse the situation before it blows up.
The Genoa City Athletic Club (GCAC)
Summer walks into the dining room and sees Chance sitting at the bar. She approaches him and asks if he’d like to have some company… Or has he turned into a workaholic?
Chance says he was just thinking about her.
Summer grins. “Good thoughts?”
Chance decides a kiss is the best answer.
Newman Ranch
In the living room, Claire picks up a photograph of Abby, Victor, and Victoria.
Victoria walks into the room and greets her daughter.
Claire holds up the photo and says she’d be in some of the pictures if Jordan hadn’t ruined her life.
The Empty Glass Lounge
Nikki and Victor enter the bar. Nikki approaches Officer Padilla and introduces herself, asking to know what happened with Seth.
Officer Padilla tells her that Mr. Morgan left with a woman. Patrons heard tires screeching and the impact as the car hit. The woman came back and told the bartender that Seth jumped into the path of the car and said, “Tell Nikki Newman I’m sorry.”
Nikki’s horrified. “Oh my God!” She tells Victor it happened because of her.
Victor reassures her that it wasn’t her fault… It’s the maniac’s fault; she’s out for revenge! He asks the bartender how often he’d seen Seth and the woman in the bar. He asks what Isabel looked like.
The bartender says he’s seen “Isabel” and Seth a couple of times. He says Isabel had red hair, wore glasses, and appeared to be around 60 years old.
Victor thanks the bartender for the information and asks the officer to take “Isabel’s” glass and get DNA and fingerprints from it.
The officer agrees.
Victor tells Nikki that Seth didn’t step in front of the car on his own… He had “help.”
Newman Ranch
Victoria tells Claire they’ll take new pictures and make new memories.
Claire asks what will happen if she’s in the pictures but doesn’t really fit in. She says Adam is in some of the pictures, and he came to the family as an adult, but he’s not exactly in everyone’s hearts.
Victoria says Adam’s story is very different than Claire’s.
Claire wonders if she should talk to Adam to find out how he adapted to the Newman world even though he wasn’t raised in it.
Victoria suggests that Claire just be herself and let them love her… She doesn’t need to ask Adam for advice.
Claire doesn’t think it’ll be that easy for everyone… If she was Nikki, she wouldn’t forgive her!
Victoria says that’s something they’ll have to work on. All she sees right now is her bright and beautiful daughter, who is exactly where she belongs. They hug, and Victoria asks why Claire is up… She thought she was exhausted!
Claire says she’s having problems shutting her brain off.
Victoria nods… Claire’s had quite the day!
Claire’s phone rings. She looks at it and says it’s the number she called earlier. She wonders if it’s Jordan calling her back.
Victoria says she doesn’t need to answer it if she doesn’t want to.
A Back Alley
Jordan is on the phone, surrounded by garbage bins and empty pallets. She curses and says, “Pick up, damn it, whoever you are!”
The GCAC Dining Room
Summer and Chance finish their kiss. Summer grins and asks what prompted the kiss.
Chance says he hasn’t seen her in a while… He missed her!
Summer says she’s missed him, too.
Chance asks her to join him. He asks if she’s eaten yet.
Summer says that’s the best offer she’s had all day. She’s starved!
Chance suggests they get a table. She can tell him about the fashion drama, and he’ll fill her in on the Chancellor-Winters drama.
Summer says discussing their days sounds like something a “real couple” would do.
Chance grins and says it does sound like that… Unless she’d rather not.
Summer says she has a better idea.
Society
Danny enters the restaurant and greets Phyllis and Abby.
Phyllis welcomes him with open arms as Christine walks into the dining room. She asks what Christine is doing there.
Christine says Danny wanted her to come with him.
Phyllis is upset. She says she doesn’t want Christine there… This is a private dinner for her and Danny, so Christine can go.
Christine takes Danny’s arm and says that’s not going to happen.
Abby says she’ll leave them to their evening. She warns Phyllis to try not to destroy anything. She leaves the dining room.
Phyllis tells Danny that their dinner was supposed to be for the two of them; a private dinner before Danny went on tour. Who knows when she’ll see him again?
Christine says, “Never would be good.”
Danny sighs and tells Phyllis they need to talk.
Phyllis says they do need to talk… At dinner. She says he promised her that it’d be just the two of them; he’s not breaking his promise, is he?
Christine says Danny is, in fact, breaking his promise to Phyllis.
Phyllis says she doesn’t understand.
Christine says it’s simple… Phyllis won’t have a “romantic” dinner where she can ambush him.
Phyllis acts confused. Romantic? There must be a misunderstanding! She says it was just two friends having a farewell dinner together. She tells Christine she can “farewell” and leave them alone.
Christine says Phyllis rented out the restaurant and expected Danny to cook… And that’s supposed to be “just friends?”
Phyllis asks Danny whether the idea of having dinner with her is “abhorrent” to him.
Danny says he can see she’s gone to a lot of trouble… He never should have agreed to it.
Phyllis says he did agree. She asks if Christine started crying or pitched a fit to get him to stop. She says Christine is trying to isolate Danny and control his life.
Danny says it’s his call. He apologizes to Phyllis and says he never meant to hurt her or lead her on, but it seems that’s what he’s done.
Phyllis says Danny doesn’t need to cook… They can just scrounge something up in the kitchen!
Christine asks what part of “Danny isn’t having dinner with you” Phyllis is having problems understanding.
Phyllis asks if Danny is going to let Christine talk for him. Is he going to let this jealous witch ruin their evening together?
Danny tells Christine he’d like to talk to Phyllis alone; it’s important.
Summer’s GCAC Suite
Summer and Chance are in Summer’s room. Summer says nothing beats room service after a long, hard day in the office. She asks if she can order for him.
Chance says that depends… What does she think he’s in the mood for?
Summer grins and says she hopes it’s the same thing she’s in the mood for.
Chance asks what she’s in the mood for.
Summer grins and says, “French fries.”
Chance says that’s exactly what he was thinking… But if she doesn’t like fries with mayo, they’re going to have a problem!
Summer laughs. “Noted.” She calls room service and orders fries, mayo, a hot fudge sundae, and a bottle of Pinot Noir.
Chance says it’s a well-balanced meal.
Summer says they told her the kitchen is backed up and it’ll be 30-40 minutes… Is that okay with him?
Chance says he’s perfectly fine with that… As long as he’s here with Summer!
Summer thinks that’s a good answer.
Chance says they have a little bit of time… Is this when she tells him about her day, and he tells her about his?
Summer says they could do that, or… She kisses him, and he responds with passion.
Newman Ranch / A Back Alley
Claire tells Victoria she needs to know whether it’s Jordan calling. They need to stop her, and this could be their only chance!
Victoria tells her she’s there for her, and reminds her that she’s in control of her own future now… Not Jordan!
Claire nods and answers the phone.
Jordan asks whom she has the “pleasure” of speaking to.
Claire says, “It’s Claire.”
Jordan feigns surprise.
Claire says she thinks Jordan must be “Isabel.”
Jordan says Claire’s clever. Nikki must have given her this number, and she knows exactly why Claire called her… It’s all over the news! The “Great Victor Newman” must have pulled some strings to get Claire released into the loving arms of her mother and father, and Claire couldn’t wait to rub it in Jordan’s face.
Claire says that’s not it.
Jordan asks what it is, then… Claire had said hateful things to her, saying she was a monster and wishing she was dead… She wonders if Claire has come to her senses and realized she made a mistake or whether the Newmans have turned on Claire already.
The Empty Glass Lounge
Nikki tells Victor she should have been a better friend to Seth and not turned her back on him when he was drinking; if it weren’t for her, Seth would still be alive!
Victor says it has nothing to do with Nikki… It’s that crazy woman! She killed Seth, and she killed the prisoners in the fire… Now, she’s going to come after Nikki again!
Nikki looks longingly at a bottle of booze. She says she just wants to drink until the whole nightmare is over. She asks Victor to take her home.
Victor leads Nikki out the door.

Newman Ranch / A Back Alley
Jordan tells Claire that she can’t say she didn’t warn her… She’s in a viper’s nest with the Newmans. She reminds Claire that she always told her that they could never be pulled apart.
Claire remembers Jordan told her that.
Jordan says that the Newmans won’t love Claire… They’ll hate her, but it doesn’t need to be that way!
Claire says Jordan’s wrong… The Newmans have been wonderful and they love her. They’ve helped her heal and given her a real family and a real home.
Jordan says Claire must have called her to stab her in the heart… Again! After everything she’s done for her!
Claire says Jordan destroyed her.
Jordan says she’s wrong… The Newmans will destroy her; how can she not see it? Does she really believe that the Newmans will take her into their fold and she’ll be “princess Victoria’s” long-lost daughter?
Claire says the Newmans are her family.
Jordan says that’s what they want her to think. She says the Newmans will grind her into pain just like they did to her grandmother! She knows Victor… He’ll use Claire and throw her out like trash!
Claire says Jordan doesn’t know the Newmans… She’s never known them. She says Victor has been kind to her despite what Jordan turned her into.
Jordan asks how Claire could be so gullible. The Newmans don’t give a damn about some “guttersnipe” who tried to kill them!
Claire says she has a message for Jordan from Victor.
Jordan laughs. Victor is using her!
Claire says Victor wants this to end. He wants to meet and is ready to accept his guilt for whatever happened to Claire’s grandmother, Eve. He’ll do whatever Jordan wants, within reason, to make amends.
Jordan says she can’t imagine what Victor will do to protect his drunken wife. He’ll be on his knees begging for mercy. She asks if Victor is there now… She’d like to speak with him.
Claire says Victor isn’t there… She’s with her mother.
Jordan says the word “mother” like she’s trying it on for size. She asks Claire whether she’s all settled into Victoria’s beautiful home. Is she drinking hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows? Is it the perfect picture of a loving family?
Claire says that’s exactly where they are and exactly what they’re doing.
Jordan says that’s wonderful. She hopes Claire gets everything she’s ever wanted… Until the Newmans turn her to ashes.
Claire asks if Jordan has an answer for Victor.
Jordan says to tell Victor she’ll be in touch and give Nikki her best.
Claire disconnects the call.
Victoria asks if Claire is okay.
Summer’s GCAC Suite
Summer and Chance kiss passionately and start undressing each other.
They fall into bed, locked in an embrace.
Society
Danny asks Christine to meet him at Crimson Lights in fifteen minutes; he meant everything he said to her.
Christine tells him to watch out for Phyllis… She plays dirty.
Phyllis says that’s not who she is anymore… That’s the old Phyllis!
Christine laughs and says there’s only one Phyllis. She’ll never change.
Phyllis tells Christine not to let the door hit her on the way out.
Christine tells Danny she’ll wait fifteen minutes. She tells Phyllis that Danny’s sauce is spectacular. She leaves the restaurant.
Phyllis says she’s glad Christine is gone—what a downer! The other couple leaves, and Phyllis laughs that they have the place all to themselves. She picks up the bottle of wine and shows Danny. They’ll be able to find nuts and crackers in the kitchen and have a really nice evening!
Danny tells her to stop… There won’t be a dinner tonight… There won’t be anything between them tonight or ever; he should have never agreed to the dinner in the first place.
Phyllis says he did agree… She thinks there’s a part of him that can’t say no to her and wants to have dinner with her.
Danny starts to protest, but she stops him.
Phyllis looks sad and says she gets it… Christine wins.
Danny says it’s not a competition.
Phyllis says she knows it’s not a competition, but Danny is choosing Christine.
Danny says he’s sorry he gave her the wrong impression.
Phyllis says he didn’t. She thinks he wanted something to happen between them, but he chickened out.
Danny says he knows what he wants.
Phyllis nods. He wants Christine.
Danny says he wants to be Phyllis’s friend. He wants to be able to call her and talk about Daniel and Lucy. He wants to be able to have coffee with her and catch up when he’s in town. It was never meant to be any more than that! He says that he knows she thinks she has feelings for him, but he thinks it’s because she doesn’t have many friends right now. He says she can and will have friends, but he can’t be one of those people right now.
Phyllis tells him that he should go… Christine is waiting for him, and he only has fifteen minutes.
Danny asks if she understands what he’s saying to her.
Phyllis says she understands; she gets it. She looks genuinely upset and tries to hold back tears. She tells him not to worry about her… He should go. She tells him to have a good tour and a good life.
Danny leaves the restaurant without a backward glance.
Abby watches as Danny leaves. She asks Phyllis if she’s okay.
Summer’s GCAC Suite
Chance and Summer lie in bed, snuggling. Chance says he didn’t see his evening playing out like this.
Summer laughs and says it’s better than discussing work in a restaurant full of people with their clothes on.
Chance says it’s so much better. How’d he get so lucky?
Summer says he said yes when she invited him up.
Chance says it was a bold move; he loved it.
Summer has a confession… She’s been thinking about him all day. She says if she didn’t run into him, she was going to call him and see if he wanted to get a nightcap.
Chance grins and says he loves a woman who knows what she wants.
Summer says she felt it was a sign when she saw him at the bar.
Chance says he’s a believer in signs… Especially when those signs are as beautiful as Summer!
They kiss.
Chance asks if she knows what this means.
Summer grins and says it means he’s going to share his fries with her.
Chance laughs. He says he thinks they’re one of those “real couples” that Summer had talked about.
Summer says they haven’t gotten to the part where they discuss their days yet.
Chance says Summer had a better idea, and he hasn’t gotten around to thanking her for it yet. He kisses her.
Newman Ranch
Victoria tells Claire she’s incredibly brave and thanks her.
Claire says Jordan was angry and vicious, but there was an edge of desperation in her voice.
Victor and Nikki walk into the room.
Victoria asks what happened… Where did they go?
Nikki says they got a call about Seth.
Victor asks Claire to get her grandmother a cup of chamomile tea, and Claire leaves the room to get it started.
Victoria asks what’s going on.
They all have a seat, and Victor says Jordan struck again… Seth is dead.
Victoria’s shocked. How did it happen?
Victor explains that Jordan and Seth left the bar, and, according to Jordan, Seth walked in the path of a car.
Victoria asks if Jordan pushed Seth.
Victor knows she did.
Nikki says Jordan must have figured out that Seth was helping her and trying to protect her.
Victoria asks if Jordan escaped again.
Victor says she has, but they’re safe now.
Victoria says that’s what she was afraid of… What if Jordan comes after Claire?
Victor says Victoria and Claire will be safe if they stay at the ranch.
Victoria says Claire spoke with Jordan; that makes her a target! She says Jordan is intrigued by Victor’s proposition.
Victor thinks that’s good.
Victoria says there’s nothing good about it; Claire said that Jordan sounded more unhinged than usual. She asks what’s going to happen if Claire comes after her daughter.
Victor says Jordan won’t come after Claire or Victoria.
Victoria says that’s not a promise Victor can keep.
Nikki agrees. She says Jordan is still toying with them and wants them to think that she has the upper hand.
Victor says that’s what he wants Jordan to believe. His plan is in motion, and it’ll all be over soon!
A Back Alley
Jordan paces back and forth, muttering to herself. “Ungracious brat! How dare she talk to me like that?!”
She looks around the back alley, saying that she thinks Claire needs a lesson… All the Newmans do! She spots a jerry can and starts laughing.
Jordan picks up the jerry can and sniffs it, ensuring it’s gasoline. She laughs and says, “The fun doesn’t have to stop yet!”
Crimson Lights
Christine is sitting alone in the coffee shop when Danny enters and walks up to her, grinning. Christine says she was almost ready to give up on him.
Danny says he’s glad she didn’t.
Christine asks what happened with Phyllis after she left. Does she even want to know?
Danny says it was “quite civilized.”
Christine laughs. She finds that hard to believe.
Danny says he told Phyllis that he wanted Christine and that he and Phyllis had no future except as parents to Daniel. He said that he wanted to be Phyllis’s friend but that it wasn’t a good idea now, if ever.
Christine is incredulous that Phyllis didn’t make a scene or try to seduce him.
Danny says she didn’t do any of that… She was very understanding.
Christine thinks it’s impossible. She finds it more worrying than if Phyllis had broken a few things or tried to shove her tongue down his throat.
Danny takes Christine’s hand and says it’s been challenging for her. He apologizes and says Phyllis isn’t the “same Phyllis” she was.
Christine thinks Phyllis wants him to believe that so he’ll let his guard down and she’ll come right after him again. She doesn’t want to be part of it any more than he does.
Danny says the circus is behind them. He saw acceptance in Phyllis’s eyes and believes she’s ready to accept the truth about him and Christine.
Christine hopes so.
Society
Phyllis is working on emptying the bottle of wine. She fills her glass again. Abby sits down with her, and Phyllis asks if she’d like any wine.
Abby declines.
Phyllis reads the bottle’s label and says it was a good year… Better than the one she’s having.
Abby says things were pretty intense between Phyllis and Christine.
Phyllis says it was intense… Did Abby see how possessive Christine was? She says Christine is boring and has no sense of humor… She doesn’t get why Danny loves her!
Abby figures that Phyllis had rented the restaurant to convince Danny that he wanted Phyllis instead of Christine.
Phyllis nods and says that was the plan, but Danny chose Christine; she wins again. She backpedals and says it’s not a competition because Christine isn’t competition for her!
Abby thinks it’s time for Phyllis to move on.
Phyllis says she will move on… After she finishes this bottle of wine! She drains her glass, refills it, and asks why Abby cares… She doesn’t even like her!
Abby says she may not like her, but she saw how special Phyllis tried to make the evening, and it all fell apart on her.
Phyllis nods. “Yeah, thanks to Christine.”
Abby says she thinks Phyllis is lying to herself.
Phyllis asks what Abby’s trying to say.
Crimson Lights
Christine tells Danny he was right; she was a willing participant in the battle between her and Phyllis. She said and did things she regrets, and wants him to know she’s sorry.
Danny grins and says Christine brought him some lovely masala chai tea, and it was good.
Christine asks him how he can be so kind and forgiving.
Danny says she inspires him.
They kiss.
Christine says she meant what she said before; he’s not a door prize… He’s the man she’s falling back in love with.
Danny kisses her hand and says they should keep Phyllis out of the conversation and talk about something else.
Christine laughs. They can talk about anything!
Danny says they should talk about his tour.
Christine asks what he wants to talk about. Is it the fact that he’s leaving when they’re just gaining momentum?
Danny asks what Christine’s agenda is like for the next six weeks.
Christine asks why he wants to know.
Danny says if she’s free, he’d love her to join him on the first leg of his tour.
Christine smiles and asks if she’d be in the way.
Danny laughs and says he’d sing to her every night… It’d just be the two of them, and it’d be just like old times… They’d be inseparable!
Society
Abby says Phyllis should just admit that it’s all about beating Christine.
Phyllis says it wasn’t… But now it is!
Abby says it sounds like Phyllis isn’t moving on.
Phyllis says Christine thinks she won because Danny ran after her, but she’s going to make Christine wish she never had!
Summer’s GCAC Suite
Chance gets up and pulls out his phone while Summer snoozes. He reads a text message from Devon. “Could you work up a more detailed presentation of your music festival idea? Nate and I are interested.”
Chance sits down at the desk and pulls his tablet out to get to work.
Newman Ranch
Victor asks Claire about her call with Jordan… How did Jordan act?
Claire says Jordan was angry and seemed amped up and rattled.
Victor nods. Good! He wants her unbalanced.
Victoria asks what will happen if Jordan is more dangerous because of it.
Victor promises her his plan is working.
Victoria’s phone rings. She answers. “Oh my God, what? I’ll be right there!” She disconnects the call.
Victor asks what happened.
Victoria says her house is on fire.

Phyllis and Jack should get back together. It’s time for Adam and Sally to have a life, Summer and Chance should stay together. I know it’s a soap but Jordan needs to die and Mammie needs a new wig.
I agree wholeheartedly. I have always said Jack was the best person for Phyllis.
