Today’s Young and the Restless recap airs in the USA on Monday, March 4, 2024, and airs one day ahead in Canada. We post our Y&R recaps every weekday!
Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Nikki discovered Seth’s connection to Jordan, while Phyllis wanted Danny’s special sauce.
The Waiting Room at the Doctor’s Office
Connor paces around the waiting room and sanitizes his hands. He sits down beside Adam as Billy and Chelsea look on.
Adam says he was thinking of having burgers for dinner.
Chelsea thinks pizza might be better.
Billy says he likes both.
They agree they need a tie-breaker, and Adam tells Connor that burgers come with milkshakes for dessert.
Chelsea grins and says cupcakes follow pizza.
Connor asks if he’s in trouble. They’re all there at the same time… Is there something really wrong with him?
Crimson Lights
Christine thanks Nina for convincing her to call Danny.
Nina says Phyllis is being Phyllis, and Christine needs to sit down with Danny and make him see what’s at stake.
Christine says she doesn’t want to give up on Danny, but Danny thinks it’s a competition between her and Phyllis. She says she needs to make it clear to him that Phyllis is the one who’s playing games.
Nina says she has to force Danny’s hand and make him realize that he’s pushing Christine away and could lose her for good.
Christine doesn’t want to waste any more of her life because Phyllis is being a vulture, and Danny’s being too nice.
Nina figures Danny will call Christine back soon and reminds her not to mention Phyllis when she talks to him.
Christine hopes that Phyllis hasn’t already talked to Danny so their reverse-psychology plan has a chance to work.
Society
Phyllis jogs into the dining room and spots Abby. She says she’s just the person she’s looking for.
Abby looks unimpressed. She asks what Phyllis wants.
Phyllis says she wants to rent out the restaurant and kitchen for the evening.
Abby laughs. “Now? No.”
Phyllis says they can at least have a conversation about it.
Abby says they just did.
Phyllis says Abby has to let her do this.
Abby says Phyllis doesn’t understand… This is her restaurant, and she doesn’t have to do a damn thing!
Phyllis says Abby doesn’t understand… Everything in her life is riding on this!
Abby just walks away.
Crimson Lights
Nina tells Christine that Danny won’t leave town without saying goodbye to Christine.
Christine says she’s not so sure. She says as far as Danny’s concerned, this isn’t about him and Christine… It’s about Christine and Phyllis, and that might be enough to scare him away. She says Phyllis tried to kill her the last time that she thought Christine was coming between her and Danny. She doesn’t want to go through that again, and neither does Danny!
Nina tells her to calm down.
Society
Abby tells Phyllis she has a sold-out block of reservations… What’s she supposed to do? Call them and tell them to make other dinner plans because Phyllis Summers has a hare-brained emergency?
Phyllis says that won’t work. She chases after Abby and says she believes in her… She could tell them that the kitchen caught fire or their fridge blew up and the food was spoiled.
Abby thinks that’s a great idea. Let the customers know that their equipment is unsafe and they could get food poisoning!
Phyllis says she’ll make it financially worthwhile.
Abby scoffs and tells her to tell that to the other restaurants in town when she runs her crazy idea past them. She’s sure they’d be happy to take her money.
Phyllis says she doesn’t want another restaurant… She wants Society. That should flatter her enough to do Phyllis a favor!
The Waiting Room
Chelsea tells Connor they’re there because they love him. They know he’s been struggling and want to figure out how they can help him.
Connor asks if they’re looking to get him help like she got help.
Chelsea says everyone needs help for something, and that’s nothing to be frightened about.
Adam agrees. He says he and Chelsea don’t know everything, so they’ve arranged for him to see a specialist.
Connor asks if he’s going to get tested.
Adam says the doctor will ask some questions that Connor will need to answer truthfully.
Connor asks what type of questions the doctor will ask.
Billy says the doctor will probably ask what he’s thinking and how he’s feeling. The more she knows, the more she can help make things easier for Connor.
The doctor opens the door to her office and invites them in. She introduces herself as Dr. Alcott and tells them that she’d like only one parent to come in with Connor at first. She suggests Chelsea come in.
Adam starts to say something but then agrees… It makes sense that Chelsea go in first.
Chelsea takes Connor’s hand and heads into the office with the doctor.
Billy tells Adam they should see if Dr. Alcott has a spare hour when she’s done with Connor.
Adam asks what that’s supposed to mean.
Billy says Adam needs to get a handle on himself; Connor is picking up on his attitude.
Dr. Alcott’s Office
Dr. Alcott tells Chelsea and Connor a bit about herself, including where she went to school. She’s got a PhD in psychology and specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and has been doing her job for over 30 years. She tells Connor there’s nothing he can say that she won’t understand, and she’d like to get started by asking a few questions.
Connor looks to his mother for guidance. Chelsea tells him they talked about this… She promises everything will be fine.
The Waiting Room
Adam asks Billy who he’s trying to impress… The doctor? Connor? He’s not Connor’s parent; he doesn’t have any say in this!
Billy says he’s trying to relieve tension so that Connor doesn’t go into the appointment thinking it’s all gloom and doom.
Adam says Billy’s there for Chelsea… Adam is there for his son.
Billy nods. He says Connor is nervous and afraid, and Adam being all wound up because Billy is there isn’t helping.
Adam asks if Billy thinks he knows Connor better than his own father.
Billy says it’s the exact opposite. He can be more objective because as much as he cares about Connor, he’s not his son. He says he can pick up on things that Adam is too upset to notice.
Adam snarkily thanks “Dr. Abbott” for his insights.
Billy says he’s not attacking Adam. He’s there to support Connor, and that puts them on the same team, whether Adam likes it or not. He says it can’t be easy on Adam; he doesn’t know how he’d feel if it were Johnny or Katie in there with the doctor.
Adam says Connor hasn’t had a break his entire life… Adam was in his life, then he wasn’t, then he found out about Johnny being his brother. He says Connor had to watch what his mom went through, and now… This? When he looks at his son, he sees how perfect he is; he never saw that he was going through anything.
Billy says Adam brought Connor to a doctor that will know how to handle whatever he’s going through, and that’s a good thing.
Adam asks what is going to happen if the school’s suspicions are right… What if Connor does have OCD?
Billy says they’ll have to deal with it the way you’d treat any other diagnosis… Find the right specialist, get the right treatment, and move forward.
Society
Abby grins and tells Phyllis that the other restaurants in town must have turned her down if Society is the only one that Phyllis wants.
Phyllis says she thought they got past the point of hating each other.
Abby says it’s nothing personal… It’s just business.
Phyllis says it’s not. If anyone else that Abby didn’t despise asked her for this, she’d say yes.
Abby sighs. She says she might be able to work something out later in the week.
Phyllis is insistent… It has to be tonight!
Crimson Lights
Nina tells Christine she’s letting Phyllis take control of the situation between her and Danny.
Christine knows. It’s ridiculous!
Nina tells Christine to just put Phyllis out of her mind and concentrate on her and Danny’s future.
Christine says she’d love nothing more.
Nina says it’s their time; they’ve found their way back to one another after all these years!
Christine says it almost makes her believe in fate.
Nina says it’s more than “almost.” Christine needs to stop letting Phyllis be part of things! She says when Phyllis is involved, Christine allows herself to sink to Phyllis’s level.
Christine says Phyllis brings out the worst in her.
Nina says that’s a lot of power to hand over to a narcissistic drama queen.
Christine says that the narcissistic drama queen should be in jail.
Nina knows that… They all do! But Phyllis isn’t in jail, and Christine needs to get over it. She’s better than this and better than Phyllis; she needs to start acting like it! She says Danny won’t stop seeing it as a game that Christine is playing until she stops playing; quit dragging Phyllis into it!
Danny walks in and says hello.
Christine asks Danny if he got her message.
Danny says he did. He’s sorry he didn’t get back to her sooner… He’s been busy scheduling some added tour dates.
Christine asks what he means.
Danny says he’s moved up the second half of his concert tour and will be hitting the road in a couple of weeks.
Christine tears up and says, “Just like that? You’re leaving? Are you really ready to give up on us?”
Nina gets out while the gettins’ good. She leaves the restaurant so Danny and Christine can talk.
Christine and Danny head to the patio, where they can talk privately. She tells Danny she knows he’s tired of the battle between her and Phyllis.
Danny laughs and says tired is an understatement… He’s exhausted.
Christine says she’s exhausted, too, and she’s had enough. She asks why Phyllis is even part of their conversation… She says just when she thought they were getting back to the place they both wanted, Danny let Phyllis come between them. It’s fine if she tries, but Danny let her get to him. She says if that’s the case, she doesn’t know what to think about a future between the two of them.
Society
Abby grins and asks Phyllis why it has to be tonight… Who’s the unlucky prey?
Phyllis says she’s a predator, no question.
Abby says she was kidding… Kind of.
Phyllis says even if she wasn’t kidding, she would never tell Abby who her “prey” is because she’d misinterpret it and mock her… She’d make fun of her like everyone else in town does! She says she rescinds her request.
Abby says, “Great! I’ve already forgotten about it!” She leaves Phyllis at the bar.
Phyllis orders a martini. She looks around and imagines what her night would be like if Abby had honored her request.
Daydream. Phyllis is sitting at a table covered in roses.
Danny walks out of the kitchen with two plates full of pasta and sauce. He sits down with Phyllis.
Phyllis takes a bite of the pasta and moans in ecstasy. It’s better than she ever thought possible! How can she possibly thank him?
Danny tells her that she can let him cook like this for the rest of their lives.
Back in the real world, Phyllis takes a sip of her martini and smiles.

Dr. Alcott’s Office
Connor tells the doctor he likes sitting in the back of class so that nobody looks at him.
The doctor asks what the favorite part of Connor’s day is.
Connor says he doesn’t have one… He used to like some parts of school, but lately, it’s much harder for him.
Dr. Alcott asks why he thinks it’s harder for him lately.
Connor says he finds it hard to concentrate anymore.
Dr. Alcott asks if something changed that stopped him from concentrating.
Connor nods. He says he has scary thoughts that he can’t stop thinking about.
Dr. Alcott asks if he’d be willing to tell her what those scary thoughts are.
The Waiting Room
Adam asks Billy about telling Connor that everyone gets help. He asks if Billy got help for his gambling addiction.
Billy says he did, off and on… A little more off than on, though. He tried to work his way through it because he’s Billy Abbott. He’s supposed to be stronger than some stupid, self-destructive compulsion!
Adam asks if Billy thinks therapy worked for him.
Billy says he does, and one time, it made him crack.
Adam is curious about what he means by “crack.” Did he have a breakdown?
Billy says it was too much information… Forget he said that.
Adam says it’s too late… Billy’s backed himself into a corner!
Billy tells Adam not to worry about his situation… They need to focus on Connor. He wants to ease Adam’s mind so he can be calm and connect with his son when he finishes with the appointment. The last thing Connor needs is a freaked-out father.
Adam figures Billy just doesn’t want to expose his weaknesses to Adam, who he often sees as an enemy.
Billy says he has no interest in hiding himself from Adam or anyone else. He owns everything he’s done. He says he did have a breakdown, and he was in the throes of it when he tried to run Adam down with a car a few years ago.
Adam remembers. If it wasn’t for Kevin and Chloe, he’d be dead.
Billy says he’s full of regret for that day, and he’ll regret it for the rest of his life. He’s thankful that Kevin and Chloe were there, too. They didn’t only save Adam’s life, they saved his as well. He says he got into therapy right after that and he’s been better and stronger ever since.
Adam says he’s glad to hear it.
Billy has a feeling Adam’s had professional help over the years as well.
Adam nods. He has.
Dr. Alcott’s Office
Dr. Alcott asks Connor about the scary thoughts that keep barging into his mind.
Connor gives an example. He says he’ll be eating and is hungry, but then he gets scared the food will make him sick.
Dr. Alcott asks if that’s why he doesn’t eat lunch sometimes.
Connor nods. He says it’s not just food, either… You can get sick from other things. There are germs everywhere, and they can make you really sick!
The doctor asks if he’s ever gotten really sick.
Connor says he hasn’t because he washes his hands all the time and gets the germs off.
The doctor nods and says it sounds like a good idea to her. She asks if anything else scares him besides the thought of getting sick.
Connor says lots of things scare him… All the time!
Dr. Alcott says she’d like to hear what they are if he’d like to tell her.
Connor says he thinks the kids are talking about him, and they’re going to hurt him.
Dr. Alcott says she’s sorry but is sure it isn’t true. She asks what the scariest thoughts are that he has.
Connor says he has thoughts that wake him up in the middle of the night and then he has problems falling back asleep.
Dr. Alcott nods and asks him to tell her what those thoughts are.
Chelsea assures him it’s okay and he’s doing great… What are the scariest thoughts he has?
Connor sighs. He says he has thoughts that something horrible will happen to his mom and dad, and it’ll be his fault.
Crimson Lights
Danny tells Christine he’s sorry if he’s ever given her the impression that Phyllis takes priority over her. He’s seen that Phyllis has changed, but Phyllis is taking that and making it into a huge competition.
Christine says she’s been saying that all along.
Danny says Christine was right… He didn’t shut the door in Phyllis’s face, but this is on Christine, too… She’s been more than willing to engage in a battle with Phyllis! He feels like he’s the door prize in a competition between them. He says he’s come too far in his life and doesn’t want to settle, and he’s not going to get sucked in by anything that’s not real.
Christine says she never thought of Danny as a door prize and never will. He’s the man she’s falling in love with, and if he shuts out Phyllis’s “noise” for a moment, he’d see that he’s falling back in love with her too.
Society
Phyllis starts imagining her romantic date with Danny again.
Daydream. Danny and Phyllis are dancing closely together. Danny looks deep in Phyllis’s eyes and says he was a fool to think there was a future with him and Christine… His future and his destiny lie in Phyllis’s arms, where he belongs.
Phyllis tells Danny she belongs with him, and she’s so happy he finally realized it. They go in for a kiss.
Abby snaps Phyllis out of her reverie. “Good. You’re still here.”
Phyllis says of course she’s still there… She’s a “humble petitioner who’s throwing herself on Abby’s mercy!”
Abby tells her to stop. She says her last reservation is at 8:30, and she could hand the restaurant over at 10:00.
Phyllis thinks that’s fantastic and thanks Abby.
Abby says she has a condition: Phyllis must pay her staff double time.
Phyllis says she doesn’t need the staff… Her “prey,” as Abby put it, will bring the food, and Phyllis will bring the drinks.
Abby says she’s not going to leave Phyllis alone in her restaurant.
Phyllis says it’s not like she’s going to rob the place!
Abby says she has no idea what Phyllis is going to do, but people have to be there to close the restaurant.
Phyllis sighs. Fine, she’ll pay double for Abby’s staff.
Abby tells her not to make a mess; nobody will be cleaning up after her.
Phyllis agrees. She thanks Abby and says she has no idea what it means to her that she changed her mind.
Abby says, “You’re welcome… I think. Enjoy!” She heads into the kitchen.
Phyllis grins.
Crimson Lights
Danny and Christine are just about to kiss when Danny’s phone pings with a notification. He sighs and pulls out his phone. It’s a message from Phyllis, of course, saying, “We’re all set. 10:00 at Society. Can’t wait.”
Christine asks what’s wrong. She takes Danny’s phone and sees the notification. She says Phyllis never gives up… And what can’t she wait for?
Dr. Alcott’s Office
Dr. Alcott asks Connor what he does to keep the scary thoughts away.
Connor says sometimes he counts to drown the thoughts out. He says counting calms him down, but it can only be certain numbers… Those numbers make it so that bad things can’t happen, and that’s why he hates math; he has to deal with numbers that aren’t lucky.
Dr. Alcott says she can see how that would be hard for him. She asks what his luckiest numbers are.
Connor says seven is his favorite number… As well as any number that can be evenly divided by seven, like fourteen or twenty-one. He says straightening out his room and closet also helps him keep the thoughts away… He does that a lot.
Dr. Alcott nods. She says it’s important to keep everything in order.
Connor says that if everything’s exactly right, then nothing can go wrong… And it gets rid of germs, which is a bonus!
Dr. Alcott thanks Connor for letting her get to know him. She says he’s been very helpful. She mentions his father and his “mom’s friend” are in the waiting room.
Connor says his mom’s friend’s name is Billy, and he’s a good guy. Billy likes Connor, and Connor can trust him.
Dr. Alcott smiles and asks Connor to wait in the waiting room with Billy while she talks with his mom and dad. She wants to get some more information from them.
The Waiting Room
Adam asks Billy about the exposé he wrote about him a few years ago… “The Making of a Monster.”
Billy says it wasn’t his finest moment.
Adam says he should thank Billy for that… He learned that he had been suppressing the memory of killing a man when he was 11 years old, and he got into therapy for it.
Billy asks if therapy helped him.
Adam nods. He says he managed to expose some past traumas that he didn’t realize were still driving him.
Billy says everyone assumes they can handle whatever psychological issues they’re dealing with, but the truth is that everyone needs help at some time in their lives.
A short time later, Adam heads in to talk with the doctor, and Connor sits down and talks with Billy.
Billy asks how it went.
Connor says it was pretty good… Better than he thought it would be!
Billy asks if he liked Dr. Alcott.
Connor says the doctor was nice; she asked him about the things that bothered and scared him and didn’t act like he was a freak or something.
Billy says he’s not a freak… Or something. He says it’s good that Connor sounds like he was comfortable with the doctor.
Connor says he was comfortable, and he liked that the doctor made it okay to talk… She made Connor feel like he was safe.
Billy says the doctor could only do that because Connor was brave and honest. He says proud of him, and they perform an elaborate handshake followed by a fistbump.
Dr. Alcott’s Office
Dr. Alcott tells Chelsea and Adam that Connor being so relaxed and opening up to her on his first visit shows that he knows that he’s surrounded by people who love and support him.
Chelsea says they love their son a ton.
Dr. Alcott says it’s clear that Connor has been struggling.
Chelsea tells Adam that their son has been in a lot of pain.
Adam asks if the doctor was able to get enough information to make a diagnosis.
The doctor nods. She says Connor is showing all the signs of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She explains that it’s a mental health disorder, and she’ll email them a “wealth” of information about it. She says it’ll be a lot to take in all at once, but Connor’s symptoms aren’t unusual.
Dr. Alcott continues to explain that Connor’s intrusive thoughts create anxiety and get in the way of his day-to-day functioning, and his fear of germs and getting sick are overwhelming.
Chelsea squirms uncomfortably.
The doctor says that one of Connor’s symptoms is that he has the need to arrange things until he feels they’re “right.” She gestures to the objects on the table that Connor had arranged and says he put them in order. She says he does the same to his room and his closet, and the “lucky” and “unlucky” numbers are all because of his OCD.
Adam is incredulous that their son is going through that every day.
Chelsea says it’s taking up his every waking moment… No wonder he doesn’t participate in sports and can’t focus in class. Things have been awful for him!
Adam asks what causes OCD… Is it genetic?
Dr. Alcott says she doesn’t have any real answer for that… They don’t know whether it’s genetics, neurotransmitters, or the environment… Or none of the above. She says it’s not productive to look for blame… Especially self-blame. She says it’s important that they focus on taking the steps that Connor needs to manage his illness.
Adam hones in on the word “manage.” He asks if she’s saying there’s no cure for OCD.
Chelsea says there’s no cure, but they will manage it so that Connor has the tools to remain the wonderful kid that he is and not be in pain. She tells him that they can’t panic or do anything that would get in the way of helping their son.
The Waiting Room
Chelsea and Adam leave the doctor’s office and close the door behind them.
Connor gets up, anxious, and asks what the doctor said… Is he really sick?
Adam suggest they go for burgers and they’ll talk while they eat.
Connor doesn’t want to wait. “Tell me.”
Chelsea tells him that he has something called “Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.”
Connor asks if people die from it.
Adam assures him that people don’t die from it and that it can be treated.
Chelsea says they’re going to learn from the doctors.
Connor asks if he’s going to be okay.
Chelsea promises he will be. She hugs him, and Adam gets in on the hug, too.
Society
Phyllis looks at her phone, waiting for Danny’s response.
Abby watches her suspiciously.
Crimson Lights
Danny tells Christine she’s right; Phyllis won’t give up unless he stops her.
Christine has tears in her eyes. She says Danny had said to her, “I want you.” She asks if he remembers that.
Danny says he remembers.
Christine asks if it was something he said in the heat of the moment but now he regrets saying it.
Danny kisses her and says he meant it from the bottom of his heart.

Please don’t waste an entire episode on Phyllis, Danny and Christine….
The storyline of Conner’s diagnoses is enlightening. Maybe it will help someone.
I hope the doctor can help Conner he’s been Thur a lot for a little boy.
Am I the only one who wants Phyllis to get back with Danny. They have passion, a son & Danny brings ou
I thought that I remembered that Danny wasn’t really Daniels biological dad
Daniel is not Danny son. Danny didn’t even actual have sex with her until after they were married… which only happened because of all her lies to destroy Danny and Christine’s relationship. She drugged Danny and then convinced him they had had sex.
I have OCD so Conner is going to be fine. It’s manageable and I know he’s got this!!
Danny and Christine should never gotten divorced!! Phyllis needs to go on down the road. She only wants Danny because she saw he wanted to get back with Christine.
So actually Christine went after Danny being married her divorce meant she too is as bad as Phylis who needs smthing her hotel bk from Abby a man smthing but note Christie. Is the most boring person ever Danny and her story is absolutely a waist of time. And go bk to other lines make
Abbys life messy for once finish other story lines I get the show has linger contract but it’s all over the board no action no fun and truly no laughter. The winters chancellor thing again boring stupid and nt real chancellor o winters would never share the whole point of show is the disputes etc things drag along and drag Ali g to
Kill time but honestly even the Diane thing it Just went away forgv forget and get away with I want Tucker nt with Ashley either nt nt a formitable pair bring some action back
By the way Connor is a spoiled brat and Victoria’s kids
Just disappeared bairly
Grew up in show but Conner they are creasing a storyline for a kid that has truly been a spoiled brat. He needs to leave the show because his part has always been a pampered
Spoiled brat. He’d be better with Adam than Chelsie. This show is getting sady
Boring and too slow mode
I’m really sick and tired of this Jordan.. Boring and so fake…. Get something new going on like nobody gets outta jail like she does.. So predictable.. Time for something good and new😩😩😡
It looks to me like Chadam will be getting back together down the road.
I hope that Y and R doesn’t make a mockery of OCD like they did of Sharon’s breast cancer. These are real diseases and real issues in peoples lives and hard as Y and R may try, they often miss the real symptoms, side effects and issues that come along with these diseases. That can strike a chord with those watching who have actually suffered these diseases.
