Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Victor promised Audra a position after the merger, while Nick & Sharon struggled with Adam’s job offer to Sally.
Tessa & Mariah’s House
Sharon comes over and asks how Aria’s visit with the doctor went.
Tessa says Aria’s tired now after all the tests and is sleeping.
Sharon says at least they know Aria has a hearing problem, and it can be fixed.
Mariah tells Sharon that they’re not sure it can be fixed. They have an audiologist appointment later, and they’ll know for sure. She’s scared that they don’t know anything yet. She apologizes for snapping at Sharon.
Sharon says she understands Mariah is scared, and it’s not the time to panic or lose hope.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Nick enters Sally’s suite and throws his blazer on the sofa. Sally figures he’s not having a good morning, and wonders if it’s because she never told him about Adam’s job offer.
Nick says it’s not… It’s about Adam, but Nick doesn’t want to talk or think about him.
Sally says it’s an Adam-free space… But she knows of something that might cheer them both up.
They kiss and start undressing.
The Newman Ranch House
Adam walks in and thanks Victor for meeting with him. He says when the merger goes through, he wants to be the CEO of Newman Media since he’s most qualified to run the company he created… With Victor’s help, of course.
Victor smirks and tells Adam he’s very generous.
Adam says the merger was his idea, and he deserves the seat at the head of the table.
Victor says he’s not surprised. He asks Adam to have a seat. He says it’s a brazen request, but that’s not out of the norm for Adam.
Adam asks if Victor would have preferred false modesty.
Victor asks if Adam has talked with Nick and Sharon about becoming CEO.
Adam says they’ll come around to the idea.
Victor gets upset and tells Adam that he can’t form a partnership with Nick and Sharon and then suddenly suggest he run the company.
Adam apologizes for his bad manners but won’t apologize for going after something he wants and deserves.
Victor asks why they’d upset the dynamics already set in place. He says that merging the two companies is complex and requires a lot of people’s input, and Adam’s not the only one in charge.
Adam says he’s not surprised; Victor likes dangling the carrot out of reach.
Victor tells Adam to stop his self-pitying nonsense. He says Adam got the merger like he wanted. Why does he have to upset the cart?
Adam says that Victor only agreed to the merger because Nate convinced him it was a good idea, and Victor hadn’t listened to Adam when it was his idea. He asks if Victor is trying to punish him for his blackmail scheme.
Victor asks if Adam would blame him if it were.
Adam says it’s nothing that Victor hadn’t already done in his past.
Victor tells him it’s not about him… It’s about Adam and his methods. “What’s the matter with you?!”
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Sally and Nick lie in bed, cuddling, and Sally asks Nick if he’s feeling better.
Nick kisses her and tells Sally she has a magic touch.
Sally says she has something to talk to him, but it might be odd considering the circumstances.
Nick is puzzled. He says she can say anything right now.
Sally asks if his offer to fund her business is still on the table.
Nick says of course it is. He’s overjoyed.
Sally says she’ll get him a business plan and profit/loss projection.
Nick says she doesn’t need to do that… He has complete faith in her. He asks if it was very difficult to finally accept his offer.
Sally laughs and says he has no idea.
Nick says that means she won’t be working with Adam.
Sally nods. She says she hasn’t told Adam yet, but she won’t be.
Nick says she’s making the right decision.
Sally says something felt wrong about Adam’s offer from the start, especially since he didn’t discuss it with Nick or Sharon first.
Nick says that’s the way Adam operates… He isolates the person and tells them that they’re the only person who “truly gets him.” He thinks she dodged a bullet.
Sally agrees and says they’re talking about Adam again.
Nick “ugh”s and says he started it. He changes the subject. He asks what made Sally change her mind about him funding her business.
Sally says she wasn’t ready and didn’t want him to think she was taking advantage of him.
Nick kisses her hand and tells her he loves her. He says she’s a strong woman.
Sally says it was touch-and-go after losing the baby. She never thought she’d smile again, but now she always smiles because of Nick.
She tells Nick he’s wonderful, kind, caring, and sensitive, and it’s allowed her to dream that she could leave a legacy to her children that she wants to have one day.
Nick tells her she’s going to fly higher than everyone.
They kiss tenderly.
Mariah & Tessa’s House
Tessa, Mariah, and Sharon talk about how scary it is when you go to medical websites and read all the symptoms. They agree they should wait to hear what the specialist says before jumping to conclusions.
Mariah asks Sharon how things are going at SNA.
Sharon says things are complicated but will work themselves out.
Mariah asks her mom for details. She needs to know more.
Sharon says SNA is merging with Newman Media.
Mariah asks when the merger is happening.
Sharon says the papers haven’t been signed yet, but Adam’s making a powerplay to get in control and put Nick and her in a secondary position.
Mariah asks if Sharon’s going to fight it.
Sharon says they’ll fight, but when there’s a war, Victor tends to take Adam’s side, so she doesn’t know when or if the merger will actually happen… Everything’s up in the air.
Mariah says that’s typical Adam… Trying to ruin things because he wants to be in control.
Sharon says no matter what happens, she’s not giving up her third of the company.
Tessa says she shouldn’t have to. They’re lucky to have Sharon on board in the first place.
Sharon says she’ll fight Adam and even Victor if she needs to if they try to take her share away. She says she’s been in too much Newman drama and knows how to get through it.
Mariah says Sharon’s so strong and fearless. She wishes she had that energy with what Aria’s going through.
Tessa tells Mariah she’s the strongest and bravest out of everyone there.
Sharon says Tessa’s right.
Mariah protests that they’ve both been through worse, including cancer, and she only talks a tough game.
Sharon sits beside Mariah and tells her she never gives herself enough credit. Aria is so lucky to have Mariah and Tessa as parents. It will be challenging, but they’re both capable and loving and will get through whatever life throws at them.
They share a big hug.
The Newman Ranch House
Victor asks Adam what he plans to do now since Victor has refused to make Adam the CEO of the new company. Is he going to sulk and be angry at everyone?
Adam says he hadn’t thought that far ahead and had figured Victor, Nick, and Sharon would see it was the best move to make. He’ll back off for now.
Victor laughs. “Until we come to our senses?”
Adam smirks and says that if Nate suggested the idea, suddenly Victor would have a change of heart.
Victor says that he doesn’t take a single person’s opinion when it comes to business, and Nate’s influence on Victor is less than Adam thinks it is.
Adam says that no matter the scenario, Audra Charles is redundant… They don’t need four people to run the company.
Victor says too many cooks aren’t good.
Adam says, “So she’s out, right?”
Victor says they’ll see.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Sally and Nick are getting dressed, and Sally asks him where he’s off to.
Nick says he has to meet up with Sharon and figure out how to deal with Adam. He asks what Sally is up to.
Sally says she has to meet with Adam and tell him that she won’t be working for him, and then she has a business plan to dust off and get ready for Nick.
Nick says he wants the plan sooner rather than later so he can get his team together with an investment package for her.
Sally can’t believe it’s really happening.
Nick says he’d be a fool not to fund her… She’s a hell of an investment.
Sally thanks him.
Nick wishes he could convince Sally to come and live with him.
Sally says she can only handle one life-changing thing at a time.
They kiss.

The Newman Ranch House
Nikki tells Victor she just saw Adam leaving… What did they talk about?
Victor says that Adam wanted to be CEO of the merged companies.
Nikki says that Adam would only cause more trouble as CEO.
Victor says he wouldn’t worry about it.
Nikki says she does worry. Victor sent Nick over to keep Adam in line, but she told him that wouldn’t be possible.
Victor says she told him several times.
Nikki says Victor never listens to her.
Victor says he does, but it just takes time to sink in.
Nikki says she has an idea. Let Sharon & Nick be in charge, and Adam could take the secondary position. It’d be fair and good for the company.
Victor ponders the idea and looks interested.
Crimson Lights
Adam enters the coffee shop and is surprised to see Esther behind the counter.
Esther says she’s the new manager of Crimson Lights.
Adam says he had no idea Sharon hired her.
Esther says Sharon has a lot on her plate. She asks if he’d like a coffee.
Adam asks for an espresso.
Esther says it’s on the house in celebration of her new job.
Sally walks in and thanks Adam for meeting with him.
Adam hopes that it’s good news about Sally coming to work with him.
Sally says it’s not.
Society
Sharon and Nick sit and talk.
Nick asks Sharon how they’re going to deal with Adam’s latest powerplay.
Sharon says they’ll tell Adam, “No, you cannot be king,” or whatever it is he wants to satisfy his ego.
Nick says Adam will try to make their lives miserable if he doesn’t get what he wants.
Sharon asks why they jump through hoops to keep Adam on a leash. She’s sick of it.
Nick asks what she suggests.
Sharon says they should back out of the whole deal, take back Kirsten, and make it their own. They’d be free of Newman, free of Victor, and free of Adam.
Mariah & Tessa’s House
Tessa asks Mariah if she’d like to go for a hike.
Mariah figures they can do it later.
Tessa reminds Mariah that Aria is seeing the specialist later.
Mariah says she’s changed her mind… Maybe they should go.
Tessa says she was hoping to take their minds off of things… She doesn’t really want to go for a hike.
Mariah says they should wait until after the specialist comes by. She can’t help but think that she should have noticed the hearing loss sooner.
Tessa says Mariah shouldn’t be doubting herself. She comes to a decision and says she has to make a call.
Crimson Lights
Nikki enters the cafe and sees Esther behind the counter. She asks what Esther’s doing there.
Esther says she’s being a “master barista”.
Nikki figures Esther must be going through hard times and is working two jobs because of it.
Esther says she’s on top of the world. Reinvention is all the rage; Nikki should try it.
Nikki says she’s fine as she is.
Esther says it’s supposed to be a temporary job, but she can’t see Sharon returning to work at the coffee shop soon. She’s never seen Sharon so excited and committed to anything like she is about her new business.
Nikki says she’d hold off on ordering business cards. She lowers her voice and says Sharon’s wonderful new business venture might be blowing up.
Society
Nick asks if Sharon’s serious about taking Kirsten and doing something with it on their own.
Sharon says she had planned from the start to turn the company into something positive.
Nick says that she brought Adam on, and they might have made it if only Adam could work with other people.
Sharon says it was naive of her to imagine Adam could have changed. She says she and Nick will be pushed aside while Adam and Victor work out their issues, and she doesn’t want to deal with that.
Nick says the paperwork has already been filed, and it’d be difficult to get out of the deal.
Sharon says she has attorneys looking over the deal.
Nick isn’t sure they could fight Victor and win… But they’ve done it before. He says they should grit their teeth and try to make McCall and Kirsten into the company they want it to be with Victor and Adam involved.
Sharon looks up and realizes that Victor’s been standing there and listening to them talk.
Crimson Lights
Esther asks Nikki if she’s saying Sharon’s business could fold before it gets off the ground.
Nikki says she’s heard rumors, and all she can say is that Adam is rocking the boat and may be on his way to sinking it.
Esther can’t believe it. Sharon put her hopes and dreams into the company.
Nikki says she’s mended her fences with Sharon and wishes her well, but Nikki is only concerned about her family right now.
Esther wonders what Adam did this time.
Nikki says that Adam has given his father false hope that this time, he’ll turn into the son that Victor’s always wanted.
Esther rolls her eyes.
Nikki says that Nick is stuck in the middle of it all as usual.
Esther doesn’t get their whole business plan… Why are Adam and Nick working together since they hate each other? And why are they working with Sharon, with whom they both had relationships? It sounds like a bad idea, and now Esther’s plans are dashed for her future.
Nikki asks what Esther’s talking about.
Esther says she had plans to jazz up the coffee shop, and now her plans are ruined after all the time she’s invested in it.
Nikki tells Esther she’s been in charge for five minutes… She’ll get over it.
On the patio, Adam asks Sally whether she wants to work with him.
Sally says she’s flattered by his offer.
Adam says it’s not about flattery; he wants to hire her talent.
Sally says she’s glad for his kind words and support, but she’s turning his offer down.
Adam asks why.
Sally says she’s decided to take Nick up on his offer to fund her business.
Adam says he wasn’t expecting that.
Sally says it’s time for her to create something for herself.
Adam says it’s a mistake. He knows she’ll thrive, but how will she know it’s hers with Nick’s money behind it?
Adam asks if she believes Nick.
Sally says she does.
Adam says maybe Sally’s right, but he knows Nick, and he may pretend to be hands-off, but he won’t be able to resist… It’s a trait that Nick and Victor share.
Society
Victor takes a seat at Nick and Sharon’s table. He asks if they’ve spoken with Adam.
Nick says they have, and Adam told them he wants to be the top dog at Newman Media.
Victor says Adam proposed the idea to him too.
Nick says that Adam doesn’t deserve it, and if Victor goes along with it, he’s leaving.
Victor asks what Sharon thinks.
Sharon says she agrees with Nick. Adam isn’t a good fit for the top position.
Victor asks if they’re forgetting that he still runs Newman Enterprises.
Sharon says she has some questions about Victor’s intentions for Kirsten Incorporated. She asks if Victor thinks Kirsten is vital to the corporation.
Victor says he wouldn’t have approved of the merger if he didn’t think it was vital.
Sharon says Victor wants to strip the company down until it’s just a cog in Newman Media.
Victor says it should be stripped down because it needs to be streamlined to be competitive.
Nick asks if Victor’s talking about the company itself or the three of them working together.
Tessa & Mariah’s House
Mariah asks Tessa if she’s going to tell her about the big surprise she has planned.
There’s a knock at the door, and Tessa tells Mariah she’s about to find out. She opens the door and invites Devon inside.
Mariah is surprised that Devon is there.
Devon says that Tessa had told him that Aria might be experiencing hearing loss, and he wanted to come over and help however he could or answer any questions they might have.
Mariah hugs Devon.
The Abbott Mansion
Nikki tells Victor he left before they could discuss her idea of Sharon and Nick running Newman Media and having Adam report to them.
Victor says Sharon may be a sticking point; she’s threatened to pull out of the whole arrangement.
Nikki asks if Sharon can do that.
Victor says he’s unsure if it’s legal, but he’s worried Nick might follow suit.
Nikki sighs and asks if it’s worth it… First, there’s Adam’s endless drama, and now this. How does this benefit Victor in any way?
Society
Nick and Sally sit down on a sofa in the restaurant to talk.
Sally tells Nick she talked to Adam and said she didn’t want the job.
Nick asks how Adam felt about the news.
Sally says Adam took it as well as expected, but he doesn’t trust Nick.
Nick says he doesn’t care what Adam thinks of him, and he’s not sure why he’s involved in the merger in the first place. He says Victor and Adam won’t change, and Sharon is thinking about going on her own. Maybe he should drop it and focus on Sally’s business venture.
Sally laughs and says she gets where he’s coming from, but she is accepting his money as an investment and isn’t looking for a business partner. She says it would affect their relationship if she had to answer to Nick, so they need to agree that she’s in charge or there’s no deal.
Crimson Lights
Sharon enters the cafe and walks up to the counter.
Esther sees Sharon and moans, “It’s over, isn’t it?” She says Sharon is taking back the coffee shop and should have never gone into business with two of her exes.
Sharon asks if she’s finished.
Esther says she is. She’ll leave her the keys.
Sharon says she doesn’t have to leave the keys, nothing’s changed, and she’s not taking back Crimson Lights.
Esther can’t believe it. Sharon’s new business hasn’t blown up?
Adam walks into the cafe and overhears them.
Sharon tells Esther that things are looking even better than they did before.

For Victor to get Sharon Nick Adam to play along he needs to have all three of them equally in charge. Ether put Sharon in charge and have the boys answer to her. Or their is no deal.
People love to blame Adam she the one who is knocking on his door not the other way adam not door on Sally door no more she need to be the one to stay away from him Sally stay away from Adam then Adam stay away from Sally can’t have it both ways
