Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Ashley staked her claim on Tucker to Audra’s dismay, while Claire defied Victoria’s wishes and agreed to Victor’s plan.
Chancellor-Winters
Billy tells Devon that he’s going to be out of town for a couple of days… He’s going with Chelsea to Minnesota so she can check up on Connor.
Devon asks if Connor’s okay.
Billy thinks he will be. He says Connor’s facing some challenges and Chelsea is going to see a specialist there. He’s going for moral support and hopes that won’t be a problem for Devon.
Society
Kyle and Mariah are having breakfast together.
Abby approaches and thanks them for joining them for breakfast.
Mariah says she has a new appreciation for what Abby does at the restaurant… Tessa was completely crashed out when Mariah left this morning!
Abby says Tessa was there late doing inventory, so she’s stepping in and covering her shift for her so she can get some sleep. She says everyone at the restaurant is obsessed with Tessa; they love her! She thinks hiring Tessa was her best move yet.
Mariah says she’ll pass it along; she’s sure Tessa will love to hear it!
Abby says there’s no need. She’s heaped praise on Tessa over the last few days.
Kyle says Tessa is a multi-talented person… A singer, a spokesperson, a model, and now she’s a restauranteur!
Mariah says it’s nice because there’s a more predictable schedule at the restaurant, and that gives Tessa more time to spend with Aria.
Abby says it gives her a chance to focus on Chancellor-Winters… Speaking of which, she has to check in with Devon. She tells them to enjoy their breakfast and leaves the dining room.
Mariah tells Kyle that her wife is a star at the restaurant.
Kyle asks if she’s surprised.
Mariah says she’s happy that Tessa has the opportunity to shine again. She’s been waiting for her voice to heal enough to go back on the road.
Kyle figures that working at the restaurant will give Tessa some balance in the meantime. He asks how things are with Mariah.
Mariah says she’s great now that Aria is great, and her hearing loss is fading into history since she got hearing aids. Now, they’re focused on playtime, learning, and milestones. She says Aria is starting to make sounds, and Mariah is obsessed with her.
Kyle asks how things are with Mariah’s job.
Mariah says she’s having a fantastic time working with Sharon. She’s really impressed with the company they’re building… It’s strong right out of the gate, and she has no complaints!
Kyle says she deserves happiness, and he’s happy for her.
Mariah asks how Kyle is… She’s sensing that he might not be doing so well.
Kyle says that things are great for Mariah and her mom, but part of him is wishing he could steal his mom’s job out from under her.
The Empty Glass Lounge
Jordan sits at a table with a drink in front of her. She looks at her phone, which shows a message she’d sent to Seth. “Have you seen Nikki lately?” There’s no response to her text.
Jordan sends another message. “I’m worried about my old friend Nikki. Any news?” She looks around, frustrated.
Newman Enterprises
Victor is in his office when Victoria walks in. Victor asks if she’s there to try to change his mind again.
Victoria says she won’t fight him on his plan to lure Jordan out of hiding anymore. He wins!
Victor says she’s still upset.
Victoria says she’s had time to think about it and realized his plan makes sense. She knows Claire is determined to make amends and wants to do anything she can to help protect their family from Jordan.
Victor says Claire is a smart young lady.
Victoria says she has some conditions for her support.
Victor figured as much. He promises he’ll keep Claire safe.
Victoria says she has other conditions.
Victor says he’s glad she changed her mind about his plan and is glad Nikki was able to convince Victoria to see things his way.
Victoria is incredulous that her father sent Nikki to pressure her into agreeing to his idea.
Victor says of course he did.
Victoria says she hasn’t spoken to Nikki since yesterday. She explains that Claire was the one who changed her mind. She pleaded with Victoria and Cole to trust her instincts, and she was right; she knows her aunt better than anyone else.
Victor says he’s glad that Victoria is seeing the benefit of his plan.
Victoria says she may see the benefit, but she’s not happy about any of it. She doesn’t know how Victor could put Nikki in such a difficult position; he’s basically asking her to fight his battles for him!
Victor says he never put Nikki in a difficult position; he only asked her to help Victoria see reason, and is happy that Claire did it instead. Why does Victoria have to find fault with everything he does?
Victoria says his faults are in plain sight.
Victor says he’s only trying to keep their family safe, but Victoria is questioning his every move. He asks what’s really behind her questioning his motives.
Chancellor-Winters
Devon tells Billy it’s not a problem that he’s leaving to help Chelsea care for Connor… It sounds like whatever Connor is going through isn’t easy.
Billy says it’s not easy on Connor or Chelsea.
Devon tells Billy to go and be there for them and not to worry about things at the office. They’ll hold down the fort while he’s gone.
Billy says he’ll have his laptop with him so he can work on the go if anything comes up. He says there’s one provision he’d like to make while he’s away.
Society
Mariah is surprised that Kyle still wants Diane’s position.
Kyle says he shouldn’t have said anything.
Mariah asks if that’s how he really feels. She reminds him it’s her he’s talking to… He can tell her the truth!
Kyle says he doesn’t really want to steal his mom’s position, but things aren’t great for him right now. It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. He’s been trying so hard to be a good son and a team player because not that long ago, he was none of those things. He wanted the co-CEO job so bad that he let a chip grow on his shoulder when Jack asked him to walk away from marketing, and then he was passed up for the position and gave the job to Billy.
Mariah figures that had to be a “smack” to Kyle’s ego.
Kyle nods. He says that’s why he acted out, but then he took a look at himself and realized he was being an ass. He says he chose to stop fighting for the job to make up for his bad behavior, but maybe he overcompensated.
Mariah asks how he thinks he overcompensated.
Kyle says when Billy left Jabot for Chancellor-Winters, he insisted that his mom take the co-CEO role, but he’s been second-guessing his decision ever since. He thinks he showed too much humility and missed the opportunity he knows in his heart he deserves.
Mariah asks if Kyle resents his mother taking the role.
Kyle says “resent” is a bit strong. She’s his mother, and he wants to see her shine, and he’s still the third part of the “triad of leadership” at Jabot.
Mariah says working with parents can be fulfilling… There’s trust that he wouldn’t get at any other business.
Kyle agrees. What could be better than working as a family unit?
Mariah says she loves working with her mother but doesn’t think it’s enough for Kyle.
Kyle says it’s not, and the regret is driving him crazy.
Chancellor-Winters
Devon asks Billy what provisions Billy wants for his short trip.
Billy says he’d appreciate it if Devon kept Chance in the loop so he’s aware of any big decisions.
Devon asks why that’s necessary if Billy will be available… They can just contact him if there’s an issue.
Billy says they can, but he thinks it’s a good opportunity for Chance to learn while Billy is away. He asks if that’s going to be a problem.
Devon says Chance just started at the company, and Devon doesn’t think he’s the appropriate stand-in for Billy, but if that’s what Billy wants when he’s gone… That’s his business.
Billy thanks him.
Devon nods. He wishes Billy a safe trip.
Abby walks into the office and says hello, giving Devon a kiss in greeting.
Billy waves at her as he leaves, saying he has to run.
Devon tells Billy to tell Chelsea that he hopes everything works out for the best.
Billy thanks him and leaves the office.
Abby tells Devon she doesn’t need to ask whether tensions between him and Billy have eased up… The answer is obviously “no.”
Newman Enterprises
Victoria tells her dad that Claire is emotionally fragile and Nikki is vulnerable. She says they can’t afford to make things worse.
Victor says he knows that, but something else is going on with Victoria… Does this have to do with Newman?
Victoria says work is the last thing she’s thinking about.
Victoria asks if she’s upset that he promoted Nick and Adam to take over her position. If that’s the case, it’s absurd! She walked away from the company!
Victoria says her daughter needed her… That’s the only reason she took a break.
Victor says he understands… What else is going on, though?
Victoria says she doesn’t resent Victor’s decisions at Newman… She agrees with him on some of them; her only concern is for Claire and Nikki’s well-being and safety. She says her frustration with Victor has nothing to do with the company.
Victor says there should be no more frustration on Victoria’s part now she’s on board with his plan. He says Nikki was spared the task of luring “that witch” into a trap, so there’s nothing for them to argue about. He says he doesn’t want to fight about it.
Victoria says she doesn’t want to fight either.
Victor says they need to present a united front for the plan to work.
Michael walks into the office with a smile. He says the judge has made a ruling, and he knew they’d want to know immediately.
Victor asks what the ruling was.
Michael says that as long as the therapy continues and Claire is under heightened security, the judge has agreed to remand Claire to Victoria and Cole’s custody.
Victoria’s amazed and happy but worries that it might be too much for Claire to handle. She’s overwhelmed! She says that Victor has to protect Claire; he promised!
Victor says he’s promised to keep Claire protected, and he intends to keep that promise.
Michael is surprised that Victoria is on board with the plan.
Victoria says she’s on board, but not without some misgivings. She asks if Claire knows about the judge’s decision.
Michael says he figures Cole and Victoria would want to tell her themselves.
Victoria nods and thanks Michael. She says she’ll go along with the plan, but she has some conditions.
Victor asks what conditions she has.
Victoria says Victor has to keep Claire safe, and they need to stick to the original plan with no deviations!
Victor says Claire is his granddaughter… He’ll damn well protect her!
Victoria says she wants Claire to stay with her at her home.
Victor wags his finger. “No, no, no.” He says he wants Victoria and Claire to stay at the ranch so that he can provide security.
Victoria says the ranch is lovely, but she wants Claire to live with her.
Victor says he can’t provide the same security at Victoria’s house. He promises they’ll both be safe when they come to the ranch.
Victoria finally agrees. She says it’s only temporary until Jordan is back behind bars.

The Empty Glass Lounge
Jordan sits alone, sipping on her drink. She mutters something about Seth not getting back to her, but then a smile creeps across her face.
Chancellor-Winters
Devon tells Abby that Billy’s going on a short trip and wants Devon to bring Chance in on everything while he’s gone, even though Chance is brand new and can’t make decisions. He figures Billy wants Chance as a fly on the wall so that nothing happens without him knowing about it… Either that or Billy’s just flexing his power.
Abby asks when Lily is returning.
Devon says he doesn’t, which means he has to figure out how to work with Billy in the meantime.
Abby jokes that it won’t be stressful at all.
Devon says things are less productive at the office because of it.
Abby says she knows how draining it can be; she had Phyllis as her “worst business partner ever.” Billy can’t possibly be that bad!
Devon says they’re different… He doesn’t want to badmouth anyone in Abby’s family, but he thinks Billy and Phyllis are equally bad in their own ways.
Abby takes his hands and says she hates seeing him like this; is there anything she can do to help?
Devon says it’s something he has to deal with himself. He’s happy that Billy’s going to be gone for a while because he thinks things will run smoother while he’s gone, even with Chance in the mix.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea and Billy meet at the coffee shop. Chelsea wishes they were already with Connor.
Billy gives her a takeout cup and tells her they’ve got coffee for the road, and the car’s gassed up. He’s wrapped up everything at the office and is good to go!
Chelsea says she confirmed their hotel reservation and the appointment with Connor’s OCD specialist.
Billy can see she’s anxious even though she’s taken care of things. He says she’s doing everything she can.
Chelsea says she’s scared of what the specialist will tell her and how it’ll affect Connor. She looks panicky.
Billy tells her to take it a step at a time. They’ll talk to the doctors, who will give them a protocol to follow, and they’ll do it… One step at a time. He says it’s difficult, but she’ll get through it, and he’ll be there for her ever step of the way.
Chelsea asks if he really wants to come with her. She feels guilty that she’s dragging him away from his job. She figures Devon must have been annoyed that he’s left.
Billy shrugs. He says Chance will step in for him, and Devon knows how to get ahold of him.
Chelsea tries to convince him to stay.
Billy says he’s coming with her. He says even though there’s still tension between them, Devon wished them the best and hopes everything works out with Connor. He thinks Devon was being sincere, and tells Chelsea that she can’t talk him out of coming with her. He kisses her.
Chelsea tells him she appreciates him… It’d be much harder without him by her side.
Adam walks into the cafe and tells Chelsea he figured they’d take his car. He asks if Billy is there to see her off.
Billy says he’s driving Chelsea.
Adam asks why Billy is going. He says it’s a private family matter, and someone from the outside could make things worse and make Connor more uncomfortable or self-conscious.
Chelsea says Connor and Billy are close, and Billy will help put Connor at ease… And they all want that. She says they shouldn’t be worried about who’s going.
Adam asks what they even know about the therapist.
Chelsea says the therapist is highly recommended by the school.
Billy asks if there’s been a definite diagnosis yet.
Adam says there hasn’t been; that’s part of the reason they’re going. He says he has a hard time believing Connor has OCD.
Chelsea says Adam needs to approach it with an open mind and accept whatever the diagnosis is.
Billy says they all need to be on the same page and support Connor through it.
Adam tells Billy that the last thing he needs is Billy telling him how to parent his own son.
Memorial Hospital
Claire is writing in her journal when Victoria and Cole enter the room. Claire jumps up and asks if the judge has made a decision yet.
Victoria tells her that the judge has granted her freedom, effective immediately.
Claire’s surprised that it happened so quickly.
Cole says she’s coming home with them.
Claire’s not sure how to feel. She’s never been out in the world the way she is now. She’s scared but excited.
Cole says it’s a big change, and it’s normal to be scared.
Claire says Victor got her out of the hospital for a reason, and whatever will happen with Jordan will probably happen soon.
Cole and Victoria tell her she doesn’t have to worry about that… She won’t have to face it alone. She’s on a journey to find her real self and to be whole again.
Claire likes the sound of that. She says it’s strange to think of her life that way. Her life up until this point was about getting justice for something that didn’t even happen, and now a whole new path has opened up for her. There are so many options, and she wants to get it right!
Society
Mariah tells Kyle to give himself a break… He’s had a rough year! He split up with Summer, he was kicked out of Marchetti, and then there was that “horrible mistake” with Audra Charles!
Kyle grimaces. He says Summer broke his heart, his dad picked Summer over him at Marchetti, and Billy wouldn’t give him back the co-CEO position.
Mariah says Kyle makes it sound like he’s a “poor, innocent victim” who had no choice in anything.
Kyle says he didn’t ask Summer to lie about her “dead” mother.
Mariah says he has to own the choices he’s made. She’s saying this because she loves him! He needs to figure out who he wants to be, and she doesn’t mean his job title. Maybe he can see this as a new beginning.
Kyle says she’s setting him on a new path.
Mariah says he’s too young to wallow in regret. She says he should learn how to live without regrets.
Kyle agrees. He has a lot to work on to ensure he won’t make the same mistakes again.
Mariah says that’s what she’s talking about… He needs to keep up the positivity; what’s the next positive thing on the horizon?
Kyle says he can’t handle much more positivity right now. He’ll try to get a handle on his job, which is still demanding. He says most of his attention goes to Harrison and friends like Mariah. What more could he ask for?
Chancellor-Winters
Abby tells Devon she can’t leave right now… She wants Devon to be happy!
Devon says he can’t help but be happy when he has her to come home to.
Abby says she wants him to be happy all the time. She’s been happy ever since they got together.
Devon says it’s been pure bliss from day one!
Abby says she’s going to help him release his tension. She’ll give him a deep-tissue massage and get the kinks out!
They kiss passionately.
Memorial Hospital
Victoria tells Claire that she has to enroll in an outpatient program with her doctors and will need to check in periodically with the penal system. She says it’s sort of like being on parole, and they have to ensure there’s security at the house where she’ll be living.
Claire asks where she’ll be living… Is she moving in with Victoria?
Cole says he’s staying at the Athletic Club, but it doesn’t have any security to speak of.
Victoria says she wanted Claire to come live with her at her house, but Victor thought it’d be safer if Claire stayed at the ranch for now.
Claire says she dreamed about living at the Newman ranch when she was young. She imagined secret passages and riding horses there until she remembered it could never be her life. Her throat would hurt from trying not to cry.
Victoria hopes those feelings will change. She’s coming to the ranch as a Newman, and she’ll be loved and cared for.
Claire says that’s all she’s wanted for her whole life.
Newman Enterprises
Michael and Victor are talking about releasing a statement to the press. Michael says they’ll let the press know that the daughter that Cole and Victoria thought was dead has miraculously returned home.
Victor says they’ll have to stage a photo where Claire is walking into Victoria’s house so that it will appear Claire lives with Victoria.
Michael says the plan requires a lot of moving parts to fall into place, and it only takes one little thing to go awry, which would make everything blow up.
Victor says they’ll see to it that doesn’t happen. He says he plays chess; he’s always a few moves ahead!
Crimson Lights
Billy tells Adam to take it easy; he’s not trying to tell Adam how to parent… He’s just looking out for Connor.
Adam says he knows how to look out for his son. He says Billy’s not helping Connor by insulting his father!
Chelsea gets between them and tells them to stop fighting. They need to take this one step at a time and not jump to conclusions!
Adam doesn’t think they should take what the therapist says at face value… They need to get a second or a third opinion!
Chelsea says they haven’t even talked to the doctor yet. They have to listen to the doctor who specializes in this issue! She says Connor doesn’t need to see the tension between Adam and Billy because they’re fighting. She says they should both stay home if they can’t control themselves.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle comes home and says hello to Traci.
Traci says she sent Harrison to get a snack from the kitchen.
Kyle thanks her and asks where Harrison’s nanny is… He didn’t see her car out front.
Traci says the nanny got called away because her mother’s sick; she’s on a plane to Ohio. She thinks it’ll be an extended visit, but Traci is happy to help out while she’s gone.
Kyle nods. He says he’ll have to talk with Summer about finding a replacement.
Traci tells him to take his time; a good nanny is hard to find! She says Harrison told her that he misses Summer living in the house.
Kyle says Harrison told him that, too. He says it’s confusing for Harrison and adds to the losses he’s had in his short life.
Traci says Harrison’s had a lot to adjust to… His biological mother is gone, and he had to deal with losing Ashland as well. She says Kyle should be proud of everything he’s doing for his son. Harrison never feels alone because he’s surrounded by people who love him. Even though Summer doesn’t live with him, she shows him she loves him every chance she gets. She says Harrison is lucky to have a wonderful father like him.
Kyle hopes so. He just wants Harrison to be happy and safe.
Newman Ranch
Claire, Victoria, and Cole walk into the living room. Claire can’t get over how big the house is and how much land there is.
Cole recalls the first time he came to the ranch… He felt the same way Claire does!
Claire says she can’t believe it’s really happening. She’s really at the Newman ranch!
Newman Enterprises
Victor tells Michael he’s thought through all the possibilities and has everything under control.
Michael says Victor’s laid the bait. Now Jordan just needs to step into the trap!
Victor says Jordan will have to confront Claire to tell her how unhappy she is that she’s living with Victoria.
Michael says Claire will deliver the message to Jordan that Victor wants to meet with Jordan about Eve.
Victor says Jordan will think she’s in control, but she’ll be in for the surprise of her life.
The Empty Glass Lounge
Jordan flips through her phone and calls the hospital. She says her name is Nikki Newman, and she wants to be connected to her granddaughter, Claire Grace.
The hospital says Claire has been released.
Jordan thanks them and disconnects the call. She’s confused. She says, “Released so soon? How is that possible?”
Newman Ranch
Victoria tells Claire it’s the first step of her homecoming… And she is home.
They hug.

I miss a lot of the shows because of personal things on the go. This is great for me. To be able to do this is great. I have been watching since it’s inception and enjoy it every day l can it’s my place to go while dinner is on. Many years ago l met some of the actors at our mall here in ,Hamilton On. Ca. They were all so pleasant toward the crowd that was there to welcome them to our part of Canada so thanks to all of you.
