On the last episode of Y&R, Summer told Daniel about seeing Phyllis, Tucker moved in with Ashley, and Lauren confronted Michael over defending Diane.
The Abbott Mansion
Tucker is unkempt and in a housecoat. He brings a tray of tea out to the living room, where he sees that Ashley is fully dressed and ready to leave for work.
Ashley says he’ll have to start earlier if he wants to catch her for breakfast.
She gives him a kiss and looks over her shoulder at him as he leaves.
Jack comes into the room, and Tucker offers him a coffee.
L.A.
Nate sits on a patio and looks at his phone. His background is a picture of Elena.
He looks a bit uncomfortable and guilty as he texts Victoria to tell her he found a table and invites her down.
Victoria prepares herself in front of a mirror and heads down to meet Nate.
Crimson Lights
Elena and Audra come into the coffee shop.
As they have a seat, Elena tells Audra that things are getting better between her and Nate.
Elena discusses where she thought she could go on vacation with Nate. She says that Nate is full of surprises lately.
She says that Nate told her that if she was with him, he’d be happy.
Audra says he’s quite the guy.
Elena says that Nate’s been putting in the work to prove that she’s important and that she feels she can finally start to trust him.
Audra says that he’s in L.A. on a business trip.
Elena says she’s glad that Audra’s looking after things while he’s gone. She says he’s throwing himself into his work.
Audra asks if Nate told her that he went to L.A. alone.
Elena says he did.
Audra says that he actually went with Victoria.
L.A.
Victoria comes down and sits with Nate. She says things are going to go well for them.
She goes over their agenda and says she wants to make sure they’re on the same page.
Nate says they’re going to dazzle the clients.
Victoria says she really wants to nail the deal.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack asks why Tucker is there.
He says his family is in crisis, Diane is in jail, and Summer is mourning her mother. He says that Ashley “dropping Tucker off” is offensive.
Tucker says that he’s as dedicated to family as Jack is.
Jack says he doesn’t know the meaning of the word family.
Tucker says that he’s working on it.
Jack says that Ashley moved him in to make his life hell.
Tucker says that everything’s not about Jack, she moved him in to make a future with him.
Jack says that Tucker manipulated him.
Tucker says that’s what Ashley thinks about Jack and Diane.
Jabot Cosmetics
Ashley comes into the office and talks with Billy.
Billy says that Jack is in a tough spot, they should take it easy on him.
Ashley laughs and says they can’t take it easy, Jack is defending a murderer.
Billy says they shouldn’t really talk behind Jack’s back about these things.
Ashley says that Billy’s aware of the media inquiries… The reporters keep asking about Diane, not about Jabot.
She says that they need to do something before the “Jack and Diane show” tanks the company entirely.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack says that Diane has changed her ways. He says that Tucker doesn’t have a soul.
Tucker jokes that Jack’s not a morning person and asks if he’d like some coffee, it’s really good.
He says that he feels sorry for Diane and that he doesn’t think she’s wholly responsible for Phyllis’s death.
Jack warns Tucker that if Tucker hurts Ashley, he’ll have hell to pay.
Jabot Cosmetics
Ashley says that the department heads have become good at saying, “No comment” to the reporters.
Billy says that Jabot has faced worse.
Ashley says that Jack’s throwing money at Michael and they need to get control over the narrative.
Billy says that it’s an alleged murder.
Ashley says that she’s being realistic, and they have to protect their company before it’s too late.
Crimson Lights
Elena is shocked that Victoria went to L.A. with Nate. She says that she asked Nate point-blank and he said he was going alone.
Audra says the plan was always to have Nate go with Victoria, but Victoria only told Nate yesterday.
She says that Victoria said that she wanted Nate to teach her something.
Elena says, “Oh my God.”
Audra says that Nate has a beautiful woman in his life and he’d rather chase after Victoria Newman.
Elena tells her to stop.
Jabot Cosmetics
Ashely says that Diane always has her own agenda, she wants his name, his money, and his power, and she’s a danger to Jabot.
Billy asks what she thinks they should do about it.
Ashley says they need to convene the board and shut Jack down.
Billy says it sounds like she’s planning a coup.
Billy says they can’t force Jack from the company, there’s no reason to think that he doesn’t have the company’s best interests at heart. He asks if it’s more than just business.
The Abbott Mansion
Tucker says that he and Ashley are meant to be together.
Jack scoffs.
Tucker says he wasn’t a great guy back in the day, but he wants to prove himself to Jack and Ashley.
Jack says that he’s furious with Ashley for foisting Tucker onto the family, but he loves her and wants to protect her.
Tucker says he loves her and wants to protect her too. He says he feels like they bonded.
Jack leaves without saying a word.
Crimson Lights
Audra says she’s sorry that she went on like that, she never pegged Nate as a cheating liar.
Elena says she wanted to believe they’d be ok, she can’t believe she trusted him.
She asks if Audra thinks they’ve been sleeping together the whole time or if that’s the point of this trip.
Audra says that maybe she’s reading too much into it, and maybe there’s nothing going on on the trip.
Elena says that no matter what, Nate dangled a dream vacation in front of her, and lied to her.
She says that she believed in a lie while Nate is away trying to impress his boss.

Victoria and Nate discuss how Newman can swoop in and rebuild and make the company stronger.
Nate asks how the clients could say no to their plans.
He says that they should create subscriptions, it’d improve the company’s revenue.
Victoria asks if his brain ever stops working.
Nate says he’s been listening to podcasts lately about sleeping.
Victoria says that sounds boring.
Nate says it’s soothing, and he likes listening to it when he’s drifting off to sleep feeling lonely.
Victoria says that there’s no way he’s feeling lonely.
Nate says that the people who matter the most to him aren’t moving forward. They don’t seem to understand him.
Victoria says that bigger and better is the best thing to get out of bed for in the morning.
Nate says that she really gets it.
Victoria says it’s great working with someone who gets her like Nate does.
Nate says they have to make the most of the moment.
Society
Jack comes and sits down with Michael and asks where they are with Diane’s defense.
Michael says there’s a mountain of evidence against Diane, and Stark is still dead.
Jack says that they have to dig deeper and that Diane needs something to give her hope. He asks what they can do now that Stark is dead.
Michael says they should do what they should have done while he was still alive… They need to investigate Jeremy Stark.
Jabot Cosmetics
Ashley asks if Billy knows that Jack tried to kick her out of her home three times.
Billy says that it sounds like she wants to kick Jack out of the company as revenge.
Ashley says it’s not about revenge. She tells Billy that she asked Tucker to move in.
Billy asks what her reasons are for bringing in someone who’s just as malicious as Diane.
He asks if she thinks that Tucker is going to take over the company again.
Ashley says that Diane has incredible influence over Jack and that she’ll be insinuating herself into the family even more. She asks if that’s what Billy wants.
Society
Michael asks Jack if he talked to the forensic accountant yet.
Jack says he did, and that the forensic accountant hadn’t been able to track Stark’s money as of yet.
Michael says he’ll work on the subpoena for Diane’s phone records.
He says they have nothing that ties Stark to the murder, so it’s harder to legally subpoena Stark’s phone records.
Jack notices that Michael said “legally”. He asks what they can do.
Michael says he knows some people who can use their technology contacts to trace Stark’s movements while he was in Genoa City.
Jack says it sounds like a great plan.
Michael says that the “Stark did it” defense is really tricky to navigate, and pinning a murder on a dead man doesn’t play well with judges and juries.
He says they have to prove that the evidence against Diane was planted by a mastermind.
Jack says they’ll find the answers.
Crimson Lights
Audra says that Elena can’t beat herself up. She says that Victoria is shameless when it comes to getting what she wants.
Elena says she’s an idiot for believing in Nate.
Audra says she’s not an idiot, it’s not her fault, she’s a victim in this.
Elena says she’s not a victim.
Audra apologizes and says that Nate’s charm and promises were all B.S. She says that Nate’s been actively sabotaging their relationship.
L.A.
Nate talks with Victoria about bringing some interactive fiction stories to the company.
Victoria says that she’s glad he’s thinking about that, she wouldn’t have thought of it.
Nate asks how Victoria could be so out of touch with what people want.
Victoria says she has Nate to lean on for that.
Nate says that when they acquire the companies, they have to make sure the new employees feel welcome.
Victoria says that he brings fresh insight and energy, and it’s intoxicating.
She says that she read a book about how to balance business with home life.
Nate says he’s interested and would like to read it.
Victoria says that publishers send her books sometimes so that she can put a blurb on the cover.
She asks if she should grab it from her room for him.
Nate suggests they go upstairs together, and they leave the restaurant.
Society
Jack says he has absolute faith in Michael.
Tucker walks in and takes a seat at another table.
Jack sees him walk in and says “The day only gets better.”
Michael says not to worry about “that moron”.
Jack says that moron lives under his roof. He explains that Ashley moved Tucker in.
Michael smiles and says that Ashley always goes big.
Jack says that this latest move of hers is going to bring chaos to the household.
Ashley walks in and sits with Tucker.
Jack says that he has to not worry about Ashley, he needs his energy to save Diane.
Crimson Lights
Elena says that she tried to support Nate.
She says that he had a great life, success, and love, but he didn’t want that anymore… He only wanted power.
Elena continues by saying that lying became easier for Nate than telling the truth, and the consequences and collateral damage meant nothing to him.
She says that she wanted to believe that the Nate she fell in love with was still around, but it was only a matter of time before he betrayed her.
Victoria’s Hotel Room in L.A.
Nate and Victoria start making out, kissing passionately and undressing each other.
Their clothes come off and they end up in bed, kissing passionately.
Society
Ashley says she can’t believe Jack is there, she’s going to get indigestion from looking at him.
Tucker says that she needs to just ignore him. He talks about making inroads with Jack earlier.
Ashley scoffs and says nobody can make a dent in Jack’s ego.
Tucker says she should have stayed home and had breakfast in bed with him.
He says she invited him to stay with him because she loves him.
Ashley says she would have loved to have had breakfast in bed with him. She asks if he still has a suite at the GCAC.
Tucker says he does… It’s ready and waiting.
They stand up and kiss for Jack’s benefit.
Michael says they could have sold tickets to that.
Jack grumbles a bit and says they have to focus on Diane.
He says they need to find the truth for her.
Michael says he’ll reach out to his contacts about the phone and video records.
Jack says he’ll give his all, and he needs to do everything he can to prove she’s innocent. He doesn’t want it to go to trial.
Victoria’s Hotel Suite in L.A.
Nate and Victoria snuggle in bed, and Nate kisses the top of her head.
He looks at himself in the mirror as he cuddles with Victoria and looks like he’s wondering if he made the right choice.
Crimson Lights
Audra asks what Elena will do about Nate.
Elena says she could go to L.A., catch them, throw their clothes in the street…
She says that Audra offered her an option before that she rejected, but now she thinks it’s time they found J.T. Hellstrom.
