Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Belle took over Ashley’s mind and locked Ms. Abbott out, while Audra confessed her love to Tucker.
Adam’s condo
Chelsea arrives at Adam’s place, frantic. They’ve learned that Connor wants to chat with them.
This surprises them. Chelsea asks Adam not to have high expectations. She accuses Adam of projecting things the way he wants them.
He wonders if she’s talking about herself, not him. Both of them, she admits. She doesn’t want to screw this up. Adam could use any good news right now, he says, setting up the video call.
Chelsea wants to go over the guidelines of what not to talk about.
She says they need to avoid reassuring him which will feed into his fears. Adam snaps that he’s got it. Adam snaps at her, reminding her he knows all this.
This makes Chelsea become more unhinged. She’s crawling out of her skin and would appreciate if he wasn’t offended by everything she says.
Adam apologizes. They make the call and put on smiles. Connor doesn’t look too happy.
He’s not sure if the therapy is working or not. When Adam asks if he’s feeling better, Connor shrugs. Chelsea interjects.
They miss him so much, which is why they have so many questions. Connor calls the main doctor cool.
She understands his moods that she calls dissociation. He gets forgetful. Overwhelmed. “But more.” Some people with OCD have that and they’re teaching him to slow down and recognize when it’s happening.
Chelsea identifies. She sometimes has to stay in the moment. Adam asks if everything has to be a struggle. He wonders if it’s okay to check out when the world is coming at you.
Connor says no it isn’t. Adam thinks his son needs to explain things to him.
“Your hard headed old man thinks he knows everything.” Connor can do that.
He lets his parents know he’s playing soccer again and has a new friend named Mike. Adam asks after Mike’s treatment. “Privacy, Dad,” Connor responds.
He wants to get better and come home soon. Adam wants that too. The parents tell their son how much they miss him. They all profess their love and Connor has to leave since he has class. They disconnect and Chelsea sighs.
They need to contact the doctor about all these rules again. Adam broods and she asks him to stop.
It’s not helping. He doesn’t like that this is what Connor’s life is like and worries he’ll grow up angry and feeling that he’s undeserving of love like he did? Chelsea tells him to stop it.
They need to be strong, calm and unified. Adam says that’s a nice speech but Connor shares their DNA.
She can’t convince him that she’s not being eaten up by this too.
She won’t let it. Adam yells at her to talk to him about how she feels and to stop using buzz words.
She admits she’s terrified but afraid to fall into the abyss of shame and guilt. She wants to destroy the OCD and blames herself for her illness and that she isn’t strong enough to stop this.
Adam talks about how he created chaos for their son.
Chelsea has had terrible moments too but Connor’s dealing with something different.
They feel responsible for their son’s suffering.
Adam wants to tell him he’ll have a perfect and normal life. Chelsea cries and Adam thinks it’s a good idea if they reassure each other since they can’t reassure Connor.
She likes that. They get coffee and talk about the ups and downs to come.
Adam’s not going anywhere. “Neither am I,” she says. Near tears, he holds her close.
Abbott mansion
Nikki drops by the Abbott mansion and hugs Jack, happy that Harrison is home safe. She thinks it’s lucky they got him back when they did. He asks if there’s news about Claire and Nikki lets him know that Victoria received a call that could have been from her.
He’s sorry. So is she, for thinking Claire was involved.
Jack admits he had trouble believing Claire could turn her life around after all she’d been through.
Nikki bets Victoria wishes her mother could be more useful.
Jack does not think Victoria feels that way. Nikki admits Victoria knows that she’s drinking.
“I’m so damned weak,” she says. Jack argues about her being strong.
Nikki blames herself for this entire nightmare. Summer walks in and asks what she means.
Jack tries to protect Nikki but she explains that none of this would have happened if she had made different choices.
Claire asked if they should bother to save Jordan’s life when she took the poison and Nikki decided it was the right thing to do. Summer’s surprised.
She thought Claire was on Jordan’s side and she wonders why Nikki called 911 that day.
Nikki couldn’t let her pass away in front of them. It felt like she was winning.
“I wanted her to face her punishment.” Jack gets his keys.
He thinks they should take in a meeting but Nikki’s meeting with Lauren. She’ll go to one afterward.
She tells Summer it’s okay to blame her but Summer doesn’t.
This whole thing is only Jordan’s fault. Nikki asks her to hug Harrison for her before she leaves the house.
Summer goes to check on Harrison and returns. She tells Jack that he’s more clingy today.
It’s to be expected. She talks about him having nightmares.
He could be scarred for life. It all could have been avoided if her grandma would have let Jordan die.
If it makes her a terrible person, so be it.
Jack isn’t going to argue but asks her to keep this from Nikki who is fragile.
Summer won’t. She’ll always love her grandma and always wish she had let Jordan pass on.
Newman ranch
Victoria, Cole and Victor let Michael know about the call that came in from who they believe to be Claire. She’s frustrated and begs them to do something about this, though they don’t know if it was Claire or not.
Victoria worries and Cole tries to calm her while Michael ponders if Claire still believes Jordan has Harrison.
It could have been a smokescreen to divide them. “To distract us.”
She could have been putting it on for Harrison, an impressionable little boy.
Cole stops him. “Are you serious right now?”
He’s trying to manage expectations but Cole says they don’t need it.
He only wants to hear about how they get her back. Michael apologizes.
As a lawyer, he sees both sides but begs forgiveness.
Victor says at least they know Claire is alive.
Jordan’s where she should be but they won’t give up.
Victoria tells her dad that she and Cole are headed to the hotel to search for clues.
Victor will see to it that nobody interferes.
They leave the ranch and Michael’s puzzled.
How did Jordan die? Victor repeats his false story.
Michael knows how he operates and his senses are screaming that there’s a lot more to this story.
Victor isn’t responsible for “that Jordan woman’s death.” They need to double their efforts.
The thought occurred to him that Claire’s time may be running out.
Jordan’s hotel room
Cole and Victoria arrive at the hotel, feeling sickened that Jordan took Harrison like that.
Cole recalls being heartbroken when they lost Eve or thought they did. He would have done anything to bring her back. He starts to cry.
He’s never had that feeling about anyone. Victoria says that’s what being a parent is like. He knows.
She thinks it’s overwhelming. He holds her hand and calls Claire the greatest gift he’s ever had.
When they find her, he’s going to hold her tight and promise to protect her always.
He puts his arm around Victoria.
They start the search and find the Victorian doll in the closet. Cole holds it.
His mother had one just like it and used to collect them.
Victoria calls hit hideous. Cole thinks that’s the point.
Victoria recalls her mother being tormented with one at the lake house.
Cole feels around and finds something inside the doll. Keys.
They’re excited that the keys could lead them to Claire.
He tosses the place, searching for more clues and Victoria realizes she’s seen the keys before and knows where they need to go.
Crimson Lights
Lauren meets Nikki at Crimson Lights. She must be exhausted. Nikki is.
They go through one nightmare after another.
Lauren hopes Claire is safe and asks Nikki to rest in the meantime.
It’s easier said than done, Nikki admits.
Lauren suggests she go home to bed.
They can delay their meeting.
Nikki needs the distraction but is convinced.
Lauren gets her to promise to go straight home.
Athletic Club, Nikki’s suite
Nikki arrives at a suite at the Athletic Club.
She has a brown paper bag with her and rips out a bottle of vodka.
She unscrews the lid and downs a quarter of the bottle.
