Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Victor claimed Jordan was dead, but really, he has her locked in a cell in his basement; Claire called her parents for help.
Society
Mariah walks in and says hello to Tessa, who’s humming as she works behind the bar. Mariah says that’s Tessa’s happy tell.
Tessa says she’s got a good reason for it… Her life is beautiful!
Mariah loves it but says she wants to make Tessa even happier.
Tessa isn’t sure that’s possible.
Mariah thinks she can make it happen.
Crimson Lights
Lily is preparing her coffee to go when Billy walks in. He approaches her, and she asks why she’s always running into him.
Billy says they work at the same place and live in the same town. He says he’s glad he ran into her.
Lily stops him and says she knows exactly what he’s going to say, and she’s not going there with him. She won’t revisit their conversation about them running the company together.
Billy says he can take a hint and knows when to back off, though he thinks she’ll come around to the idea on her own.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Audra talks to Tucker about launching a marketing campaign for one of the three companies they’ve acquired.
Tucker says it’s a dumb idea… They need to divert capital to the company that needs the most support and market it.
Audra says Tucker’s dumb, but she likes his idea. It’s like Tucker in their relationship… They need to shore up the weaker one.
Tucker smirks and says they’ll turn each company around, one-by-one, and they’ll market them with a new look.
Audra nods. Meanwhile, they’ll build up their own products that will attract a more affluent clientele!
Tucker says once they do that, they’ll have their boot on the neck of the industry and the others will be begging for mercy.
Audra smiles and says she almost forgot what a cold-blooded, ruthless, and horrible person Tucker can be.
Tucker grins and thanks her.
Audra says Glissade is going to rival Jabot and will even surpass it in time! She holds up her coffee cup and clinks it with Tucker’s in a toast. Salud!
The GCAC Dining Room
Traci sits down with Ashley (Belle). She comments that Ashley is wearing “quite the dress!”
Ashley thanks her for the compliment and says that sometimes, retail therapy is the only therapy you need. She’s talking in a fairly normal accent, but her southern drawl slips through a bit.
Traci looks slightly suspicious. She says she’s glad Ashley decided to come up and have a bite to eat with her.
Ashley says she’s feeling a bit peckish.
Traci asks if she’d like the usual.
Ashley says it doesn’t really matter, but she could use a shot of tequila. She waves her hand to catch the bartender’s attention.
Traci blinks in disbelief.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker is surprised that Audra says their company will surpass Jabot. He thought she wanted the focus to be on their company and not the rivalry between the companies; she was adamant she didn’t want any drama!
Audra says she’s had an epiphany of sorts… She thinks they can be the biggest cosmetic company there is and she doesn’t need any other motivation except wanting to dominate the market, but Tucker’s reasons for doing it are suspect.
Tucker sighs and says that if Audra is talking about Ashley Abbott, she’s not his motivation anymore, though he’d love to crush her “sanctimonious” brother and nephew and take them down a couple of notches. He says Diane would be collateral damage, and that’d be fun, as well as being good business.
Audra agrees; taking on one of the biggest cosmetic companies in the market could make them set their goals even higher. She says they shouldn’t aim low, they should shoot for the moon!
Tucker says Audra’s drive and ambition is giving him sensations.
Audra laughs and says everything gives him sensations.
They kiss passionately.
The GCAC Dining Room
Traci tells Ashley she doesn’t need anything else to drink; she should have something to eat first.
In her head, Ashley (Belle) says she’ll humor the “poor thing.” Ashley says Traci is right; she’ll have an iced tea. She waves for the bartender again.
Traci says she and Jack have been trying to get ahold of Ashley, and they’ve been worried that she hasn’t gotten back to them… Did she not get their messages?
Ashley apologizes for not getting their calls and says she turned her phone off. She says she’s been trying a “cell phone detox” to get rid of the stress she’s been carrying around.
Traci says she could understand that under normal circumstances, but since she’s been going through her own situation and having blackouts, everyone would be more comfortable if Ashley would leave her phone on; they get worried when they can’t reach her!
Ashley says she gets it.
Traci says she has some good news: Harrison is home from his ordeal!
Ashley looks like she doesn’t know what Traci is talking about.
Traci says she’s sorry they didn’t tell her before… Ashley was in a precarious situation, and they didn’t want to add to her burden.
Ashley says she gets it, but the main thing is that that “precious” little boy is okay.
Traci says Kyle was able to track Jordan and figure out where she was holding Harrison, and now he’s home.
Ashley says they have to count their blessings. She doesn’t look interested.
Traci says they can concentrate on Ashley now.
In her mind, Ashley (Belle) curses.
Society
Tessa tells Mariah she was busy being “amazing at her job,” but she has a minute now to talk. She asks Mariah how she can possibly be any happier than she is.
Mariah says Tessa is happy when she sings to herself. She wonders if she’d be happy singing in front of an audience that isn’t Mariah and Aria.
Tessa says she loves performing, but touring takes her away from home, and she doesn’t want to miss any time with Aria. She says she has a job at the restaurant, too.
Mariah says she was thinking about Tessa performing at a local music festival instead of touring. She says it’s getting warmer out… Festivals are bound to start popping up!
Tessa thinks it sounds tempting, and she does miss singing in front of a live audience, but no festivals have offered her a slot.
Mariah looks over Tessa’s shoulder and says they can probably change that. She says hello to Devon and Abby, who’ve just walked in.
Abby says she’s spoken with the seafood provider, and according to him, Tessa’s his favorite person.
Mariah says Tessa’s a singer, a model, and a manager… She’s so multitalented!
Tessa laughs and says Mariah used to be her manager.
Devon tells Tessa they miss her at the label.
Mariah says, “Aha!”
Tessa laughs and says, “Mariah, no!”
Abby wonders if they’re missing something.
Mariah says she thinks a talented artist like Tessa deserves a showcase at a music festival. She says Devon knows everyone in the industry, so… ?
Devon laughs and says he does.
Tessa says she loves her job and doesn’t want to leave.
Devon says they’re actually putting together a music festival, and Tessa would be perfect for the lineup.
Mariah says that’s perfect; is it going to be local?
Devon says they can keep it local.
Abby nods. It’s agreed!
Tessa asks if that works for them.
Abby jokes that she’ll cut Tessa’s hours if she says no.
Tessa laughs. She’s in!
Mariah says Tessa will have a setlist ready for them soon.
Devon grins. They’re looking forward to it!
Abby and Devon seat themselves at a table, and Tessa and Mariah laugh and hug each other.
Devon’s phone pings with a notification. He checks his messages. He says it’s a message from Nate who thanked him for his vote. He says they should be celebrating Nate’s seat on the board right now.
Abby says she really thought they would be.
Devon says he thought so, too… Until Lily voted against him. He never saw that coming!
Crimson Lights
Lily asks Billy why he’s so confident she’ll come around to his way of thinking.
Billy says it’s a matter of time.
Lily says she had an interesting conversation with Mamie today… And by interesting, she means disturbing.
Billy asks if Mamie was upset that Lily didn’t vote the “party line.”
Lily says Mamie implied that Lily was too emotionally distraught over her breakup with Daniel to make the right decision.
Billy whistles and says that was just rude. He asks if she’s finally coming around to the idea that her Aunt Mamie is trouble.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Audra and Tucker lie in bed, snuggling. Audra says she has an idea.
Tucker says he has an idea, too… A big one!
Audra laughs and says she was just thinking they should move the production lines for all their products into one facility. That would reduce their operational costs and allow them to streamline production.
Tucker says he loves it when she talks dirty.
Audra kisses him and says she needs food first.
Tucker says they should order room service and eat naked.
Audra says there’s too much of a chance that they wouldn’t eat at all, knowing Tucker.
Tucker asks if she knew there was a restaurant downstairs.
Audra laughs. A restaurant? In the Athletic Club? They should try it!
Tucker says he’ll race her down there, and the loser is buying. They jump out of bed, racing to be there first.
The GCAC Dining Room
Traci tells Ashley she understands why she changed her mind about the doctor’s appointment. Going into therapy with someone she’s never met must be daunting!
Ashley (Belle) thinks to herself, “She thinks she knows me, but she doesn’t have a clue.“
Traci says that Ashley had told her before the appointment that she wanted to get help… Did something happen to change her mind?
Ashley says she panicked. She got skittish and just couldn’t walk through the door to see the doctor.
Traci wishes Ashley had told her and not left without saying anything. She might have been able to help her with it.
Ashley says Traci’s right, but that’s why she came to the club… She wanted to relax and calm down, and it worked! She says Traci deserves a break. She thinks they should both get a shot of tequila; it’d be so much fun! She loves the thought of sisters drinking tequila together.
Traci tells Ashley to stop… She didn’t want to say anything, but she is afraid for Ashley. Whatever is going on with her is spiraling out of control!
Ashley says Traci is worrying too much.
Traci says she’s not worrying enough. She says Ashley ducked out on her doctor’s appointments and was down in the jazz lounge doing tequila shots, and the way she’s talking to her right now worries her. She says Ashley told her she wanted to get help, and if she needs to hold Ashley’s hand through it, she’ll do it. She says she can’t back Ashley up when she wants to drink alcohol and act the way she does. Ashley has to step up and get the help she needs before things get more dangerous!
Ashley says Traci’s right; she has been the Queen of Denial, and Traci’s tough love is what she needs. She’ll reschedule the appointment for first thing tomorrow morning.
Crimson Lights
Lily tells Billy she’s not going to say that her aunt is trouble. She doesn’t like that Mamie’s trying to split up the company, since that would undo all the work Lily did during the merger.
Billy says he understands why she feels that way. He says the war isn’t going to end; it’s only going to get worse. In order for the company to survive, it will need two pairs of capable hands like them to take the reins and run it together!
Lily says she didn’t want to talk about it, but Billy can’t help himself… He has no self-control!
Billy apologizes; he won’t bring it up again. He offers to buy her a drink somewhere else; something stronger than coffee.
The GCAC Dining Room
Audra and Tucker race into the dining room, laughing. Audra got there first and tells Tucker that he’s paying.
Ashley and Traci are leaving the dining room as the pair races in, and Ashley comments that Tucker McCall is there… Doesn’t he have a helicopter to fly or a car to crash? She looks at Audra and says she’s pretty and smart… She could do a lot better than Tucker!
Audra says that’s a new angle for Ashley… She’s flattering her and insulting Tucker?
Ashley says her advice is free: take it or leave it! She says if she was her, she’d ditch this “daddy issue” for good.

Society
Devon says all the meetings at the office seem to be one fight after another. No decisions are made with logic for the good of the company, people are just picking a side and digging their heels in! He thought he and Lily were in a good place, but she turned it back on him and the family!
Abby doesn’t think that’s what happened.
Devon says Lily voted against putting her cousin on the board and disregarded what Devon had to say about it.
Abby says he needs to realize that Lily may have voted against Nate, but it doesn’t mean she voted against Devon. She says that’s the reason they’re all on the board of directors. It makes sure that power can’t go unchecked. She says it won’t be forever; Lily will come around to Devon’s way of thinking in time.
Devon thought Lily would have faith in his decision to put Nate on the board and trust that he knows what he’s doing.
Abby says she’s not trying to argue with him, but maybe Lily thinks she has something to prove because of what happened with Daniel. Maybe Lily doesn’t want to make decisions based on emotions, and maybe she didn’t want to vote just to make Devon happy… It’d be just as bad as firing Daniel because of her feelings.
Devon nods.
Abby says she was proud of him for supporting Lily and voting to not hand over the video games. He didn’t vote out of spite, and she loves him for it.
Devon says he loves her, too. He thinks there’s more to Lily voting against Nate; she was either making a point or hedging her bets with the board members.
Abby asks why he thinks that.
Devon thinks Billy has gotten under Lily’s skin.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Billy and Lily take a seat in the lounge. Billy says it’s nice to be away from the office. They’ll have a drink, enjoy each other’s company for a minute, and go home with enough time to have a game of solitaire or read a book!
Lily laughs. She remembers books!
Billy says it’s nice to see her smile; the tension is leaving her body. ! He knew it was a good idea to come there!
Lily laughs and wonders if Billy always needed this much validation.
Billy says he takes it when he can get it; he doesn’t get many compliments, so he stores them away for a rainy day.
Lily says Billy’s charming, as always, but she thinks he’s trying a little too hard.
Billy says she knows him too well. He says his sister, Ashley, has been going through some issues; things haven’t been good for her since her breakup with Tucker. He says Ashley hasn’t been the same since, and it’s tough to watch.
Lily asks for clarification.
Billy says Ashley is normally incredibly confident and direct with them, but lately, there’s a lot going on with her… It’s a lot of back-and-forth, and he’s afraid for his sister.
The GCAC Dining Room
Tucker tells Ashley that she may not want to listen to him, but he hopes she’ll listen to her sister.
Ashley thanks Tucker and calls him, “Daddy issue.” She tells Traci she’s going to go to the ladies’ room before they leave.
Traci says she’ll go with her.
Ashley tells Traci no. She leaves the dining room.
Tucker says it appears they have an “entirely new Ashley.”
Traci says she doesn’t know what he means.
Tucker says he walked in on what seemed like a family intervention with Ashley, where everyone wanted to get her help, but it seems she hasn’t got any help at all!
Traci says she’s not having this conversation with Tucker or Audra… It’s a private family matter, and she thought they all agreed it wasn’t any of his concern.
Tucker says Ashley threatened him.
Traci says he should have seen by her behavior tonight that Ashley couldn’t care less about him. She tells him to let it go. She leaves the dining room.
Audra says it’s not even funny anymore… Ashley really is all over the place, and Tucker knew it. She says something is really wrong with Ashley, but she doesn’t want Tucker to talk to her anymore or ask her any more questions.
Tucker thinks Audra is more disturbed by Ashley’s behavior than he is.
Audra says he said it… Ashley threatened him! Audra just wants to have some dinner, though she’s had her fill of Ashley; she wants Tucker to stay away from her!
Tucker says he barely said two words to Ashley.
Audra mocks him: “Oh, I’m so concerned.”
Tucker says they should be at a table, but here they are, talking about Ashley! He asks Audra if she can let it go.
Audra asks if he can let it go.
Tucker says they should eat. He heads to a table.
Audra takes a deep, calming breath and follows him.
Society
Abby says Lily and Billy have a history; they worked together at Chance Comm, so it’s natural they have a connection.
Devon reminds her they also lived together.
Abby knows Devon saw Billy and Lily “exchanging looks,” but she didn’t see that.
Devon says he knows his sister, and he knows what he saw.
Abby wonders why Devon thinks Lily is teaming up with Billy since Billy voted against her about Daniel’s lawsuit.
Devon says Lily’s susceptible right now, and they both know that Billy would love to get more control of Chancellor-Winters.
Abby says Billy may not have the best track record, but she doesn’t think he’d use Lily.
Devon thinks Billy is capable of anything.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Billy tells Lily he’d hate for anyone to overhear him, and he doesn’t know why he’s telling her, but… He’s always been afraid of Ashley.
Lily laughs and says it’s because he’s Ashley’s little brother.
Billy says Ashley has always been tough and smart with a wicked sense of humor, and to see her adrift is tough.
Lily says if it can happen to Ashley, what about the mere mortals like them?
Billy says he’d love to fix whatever Tucker broke inside of Ashley. He hates Tucker a lot.
Lily laughs and says she hates Tucker more; look at what he’s done to Devon! She says Ashley doesn’t deserve what he’s done to her, and she’s happy that Ashley has Billy and his siblings to be there for her.
Billy wishes his dad was around; he’d feel a lot more confident about things.
Lily knows what he means. She looks up at Neil’s portrait and says she’ll always miss her dad and his advice.
Billy says it’s different with Lily; he’ll never be John Abbott and will never have his wisdom. He says Lily’s dad would be proud of who she is, and he’s walking with her every step of the way.
Lily smiles and says she thinks both of their fathers are walking with them.
They clink glasses in a toast.
The Abbott Mansion
Traci and Ashley arrive home, and Traci tells Ashley to relax while she makes some tea. She heads into the kitchen.
Ashley holds her head as she listens to her inner voices. She stumbles to the couch, and we’re transported inside her mind.
Ashley’s Mind
Belle, in a red dress, sits on the leftmost bed in Ashley’s mind. Ashley, in green, lies sleeping on the middle bed, and Miss Abbott, dressed in black, sits on the rightmost bed. Belle asks where Ash is… She hasn’t seen her in a while!
Ms. Abbott says she sent Ash away; she’s more trouble than she’s worth! She hopes that she hasn’t made a mistake by letting Belle “come out to play.”
Belle drawls that she may be a lot of things, but she’s not a mistake.
Ms. Abbott rolls her eyes and says they need to get something clear. She is the only one who can protect Ashley the way she needs to by eliminating Tucker permanently.
The GCAC Dining Room
Audra and Tucker take a seat at a table. Audra says she’d love it if they never had to run into Ashley again, though it doesn’t seem possible.
Tucker nods. Genoa City’s not big enough.
Audra refuses to be “a recluse” who never goes out to eat or shop because she’ll run into his ex.
Tucker says he has an idea to keep Ashley a way out of their lives for good. He reaches into his pocket and slyly brings out the engagement ring; all she has to do is say yes!
Audra laughs. Does he always carry the ring with him? Isn’t he scared he’ll drop it or get mugged?
Tucker says it’s worth the risk.
Audra asks if he wants to whip it out whenever he’s in the mood to see if she’s changed her mind.
Tucker says he wants to be prepared for the possibility. He puts it back in his pocket, saying he’ll keep it handy.
Audra says she needs him to dig deep and see that he doesn’t need or want a marriage any more than she does.
Tucker says he’d introduce himself at parties as “Tucker Charles, Audra Charles’s husband,” and everyone would think he’s a lucky devil.
Audra laughs. She says it’s tempting, but she’s not going to say yes.
Tucker says that if he gets mugged, it’ll be her fault.
Ashley’s Mind
Belle asks Ms. Abbott if she’s “cuckoo crazy”… Suggesting a homicide? That’s something they don’t do!
Ms. Abbott says Belle is just like “that stupid kid,” Ash. She can’t do what needs to be done and should get out of Ms. Abbott’s way!
Belle says she doesn’t want to see Ms. Abbott ruin Ashley’s life. She says it’s reckless, ill-advised, and she won’t have it!
Ms. Abbott says Belle doesn’t like Tucker any more than she does… Why is she fighting her on this?
Belle says she thinks Tucker spells trouble for Ashley, but the blood and the mess of disposing of Tucker is the wrong kind of drama. It’s a step too far, and she doesn’t want to go to prison… Stripes aren’t her thing.
Ms. Abbott’s arm is revealed to be chained to the bed. She yells at Belle and curses, asking who she thinks she is.
Belle says Ms. Abbott is full of venom, and her hatefulness will make Ashley’s situation much worse. Belle says the only way to get Tucker out of Ashley’s heart is to find her someone new to love, and from what she’s seen of Genoa City, that won’t be hard at all.
Society
Devon tells Abby he still loves having her on the board at Chancellor-Winters.
Abby asks if he still loves Chancellor-Winters, though.
Devon shrugs. Not so much. He hates dreading going to work every day and wondering where the next hassle will be coming from. He says it was never supposed to be about working to make money, either… The vision was about working together as a family and creating a legacy to leave to the next generation.
Abby asks if he thinks that’s getting lost in the noise lately.
Devon nods. He says he thought going public and dealing with shareholders was bad but thinks this is worse.
Abby says it might be worse in the moment, but it won’t last forever.
Devon’s not sure. He never banked on Billy intruding on things like he has, but it feels like Billy’s time with them has been one big power play, and Devon hates being challenged and waiting for their next face-off. He says Billy brings nothing but conflict to the table, and now that he’s in through his mom, he’s obviously not planning to leave.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Billy regales Lily with tales of his son playing hockey. He says Lily was always good at getting Johnny to calm down, she only needed to give him that look.
Lily laughs. What look? She doesn’t have a look!
Billy says she has a look that she perfected on her twins and pulls it out when it’s needed.
Lily grins and says that it was a while ago.
Billy says he’s surprised she hasn’t used the look on him and Devon.
Lily thinks she should.
Billy says it’s a reminder to stay on her good side. Or not.
They laugh and drink.
The GCAC Dining Room
Tucker and Audra toast, and Tucker asks if she ever daydreamed about her wedding when she was a little girl.
Audra says little girls grow up.
Tucker asks her to humor him; what if she could have the wedding she dreamed of? The most romantic and spectacular wedding she could ever imagine… She’s walk down the aisle with the most perfect dress on with a diamond tiara, and a ten-piece mariachi band playing the wedding march. The entire town, because they’d invite the whole town, would be blown away by the spectacle.
Audra says she’d love to see the looks on the people’s faces.
Tucker would, too. It’d be the wedding of the century!
Audra says she dreamed of showing up to her wedding in a horse-drawn carriage.
Tucker loves the idea.
Audra says they can have it all without being married. They don’t need anyone else to approve of their relationship!
Tucker says it’s not about everyone else. He says they don’t need invitations. He’ll marry her in private! For him, it’s a promise to each other.
Audra says it’s a promise that people break every day of the week. She takes his hand and says she’ll make him a different promise; she’ll go with him on a whim to any island he wants, or, when they have their new offices in France, she’ll decorate a suite for their “special meetings,” or she’ll remind him every day that she’s with him not because of a legal commitment, but because she loves him.
Tucker tells her to say it again.
Audra says, “I. Love. You.”
Ashley’s Mind
Ms. Abbott asks Belle if she thinks matchmaking is the solution to all of Ashley’s problems… It’s a ridiculous and a stupid idea!
Belle says Ms. Abbott can yak all she wants, but she’s forgetting one little fact… Belle is the one in control, and she’s not letting go!
Ms. Abbott growls and tries to escape the handcuffs.
The Abbott Mansion
Traci returns to the living room with a tea set as Ashley “wakes up.” She says she figures Ashley must be nervous about seeing a new therapist.
Ashley says she is.
Traci asks about Ashley’s friend in Paris, who she said was a psychologist; would Ashley be more comfortable talking to him about her situation?
Belle’s inner voice says that Ashley’s psychologist friend is smart, charming, and so attractive… He’d work perfectly! By the time she’s done, Ashley will be saying, “Tucker who?”
Ashley tells Traci that talking to her psychologist friend is an incredible idea. She’d feel a lot more comfortable with him!
Traci says she’s happy to hear that. She contacted their Paris office and got his information from Ashley’s contacts, and she’s left a message for him and is waiting to hear back.
Ashley says she loves it. She thanks Traci for her brilliant idea and hugs her.
Next Week on The Young and the Restless
Ashley and her psychologist friend meet.
Cole and Victoria find something hidden in the back of a doll.
Jack discovers Nikki in a suite at the Athletic Club. She’s a mess, and the room has bottles strewn everywhere.
