Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Chance suspected Summer knew Phyllis was alive, Sharon was watched covertly, and Tucker told Abby he proposed to Ashley.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Nate and Victoria snuggle in bed.
Victoria says it’s time to attack the day, they have an empire to build.
Nate says it sounds like she has a plan.
Victoria tells Nate that she wants to stop Adam’s success at McCall before it starts.
Victor and Adam sit at a table in the Athletic Club and look at their menus while they talk.
Victor asks Adam what his plans are.
Adam jokes that he plans to order breakfast. Victor just looks at him. Adam says that he intends to run the company without Victor’s influence, as they agreed.
Victor says that he has experience, and wonders why Adam isn’t taking advantage of it.
Chancellor Park
Chelsea and Billy sit on a bench, talking about how they’ve sent the kids off to school.
Chelsea says that she missed Billy yesterday.
Billy says that he wanted to call her, but he thought she could use some space.
Chelsea says this is all the space she needs.
Crimson Lights
Lucy walks into the coffee shop with Daniel.
She says that Daniel’s been a little weird in their last calls and texts, and she really misses Phyllis.
Daniel says he doesn’t want to upset her, but she needs to know something… It’s only fair.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane asks Jack if Michael has checked in yet.
Kyle says that they’re waiting to hear from him.
Diane asks what else they’re going to need.
Summer comes in and Jack says that it must be hard for Summer to process everything.
Diane says that she doesn’t hold Summer responsible for anything that her mother has done. She says that Summer is a victim in this too.
Victoria & Nate’s Room at the GCAC
Victoria asks if Nate thinks that she’s callus because she wants to destroy Adam’s chances with McCall.
Nate says it’s ruthless, but he finds that trait to be convenient in his new career. He asks if Victoria had it planned all along… To let Adam and Victor take the company. He asks how many moves ahead Victoria is.
Victoria says she always wanted to take over McCall, which could cause problems for Newman Media.
Nate says that if she wants to use Newman Media to wipe out McCall, he’s in.
The GCAC
Adam tells Victor that he forgot their arrangement, and Adam had demanded autonomy for the company.
Victor says that he’s just trying to help by offering advice for free.
Adam says that everything comes with strings.
Victor says that this doesn’t have strings.
Adam says that Newman Media is going to be his biggest competitor, and he’s going to get rid of them.
Victor asks why he’s going up against Newman Media.
Adam says that it’s his biggest threat.
The Abbott Mansion
Summer tells Diane she doesn’t see herself as a victim.
Diane says she’s not asking for an apology, and that Summer’s not responsible for the frame job.
Kyle interrupts and says he’s thankful that Harrison didn’t have to hear about this.
Diane asks when Chance is coming by.
Summer is worried, and says that she talked to Chance last night, and she kept thinking about how they could help Phyllis.
Jack says they can’t protect Phyllis at Diane’s expense.
Summer asks Kyle if he agrees.
The doorbell rings, and Kyle answers the door. It’s Chance.
Nate & Victoria’s Room at the GCAC
Nate and Victoria get dressed, flirting as they prepare to leave.
Nate says it might be smart for them to go separately to the office.
Victoria asks if he’s ashamed of going public with their relationship.
Nate explains that he’d hate to have Elena see them together if she’s downstairs.
Victoria agrees that it’s a good plan, and he’ll come up with some ideas about McCall.
They kiss again, and Victoria says she loves it when he talks strategy.
Chancellor Park
Billy tells Chelsea that Jack and Kyle are busy dealing with the “Phyllis and Diane thing”. Billy says he’s busy keeping Jabot running in their absence.
Chelsea says he’s being “Mr. Reliable”.
Billy says he’s enjoying his job, and he feels good protecting the company.
Chelsea says she has those moments with Daniel, and she feels like she’s doing really well with Chancellor-Winters.
She says that Connor has been less angry lately, and they’ve actually had conversations lately.
Billy laughs and says they can both pat themselves on the back for a good day once again.
Crimson Lights
Lucy asks Daniel why Phyllis would fake her death. She has a hard time believing it could be true.
Daniel tells Lucy to ask Summer, who can verify that Phyllis is alive.
Lucy says she’ll take his word for it.
Daniel says that Jeremy Stark forced Phyllis to do this crazy thing. He says that Phyllis isn’t blameless, but she was in a bad state of mind at the time.
The Abbott Mansion
Chance walks in and Summer stammers about how she and Chance had spoken last night.
Kyle looks confused and tells Summer that this is the first he’s heard about her having a conversation with Chance the night before.
Chance asks Jack what the new evidence is that he’s found.
Jack tells Chance that Stark rented a hotel room after Phyllis’s death. He tells Chance that they found Phyllis’s hair in the room and had it matched through DNA testing to Summer’s hair.
He says that this proves that Phyllis was alive when she was at the motel.
Chance looks over the DNA result and says that it’s hair, it could have been there before or put there after Phyllis’s death… It doesn’t prove anything.
Jack says he found the hair in the drain, why would Stark put it there?
Chance asks when Jack “supposedly” found the evidence.
Kyle says angrily that it wasn’t “supposed”, they both found it!
Jack says he found it yesterday.
Diane says that Phyllis is probably alive and laughing it up somewhere.
Summer exclaims that’s not true, Phyllis isn’t laughing it up! She says that’s not how Daniel described her.
Chance asks how he knows that Jack got the hair from the motel and didn’t just pull it from a hairbrush he might have had.
Diane tells Chance that it must be enough evidence to help with the investigation.

Crimson Lights
Lucy asks Daniel when Phyllis is coming home and asks if he had to tell the police about her.
Daniel tells Lucy that he doesn’t know when Phyllis is coming home, but he had to tell Chance first to make sure that Phyllis is safe.
Lucy says she’s worried about him… He has the same look he had when things got bad before.
Daniel says that the last thing he wants is for Lucy to be worried about him. He promises her that he’s fine.
Chancellor Park
Billy tells Chelsea he has to head back to the office, but not before he can arrange a date with her.
They arrange a time and decide to have dinner with the boys.
The GCAC
Victor tells Adam that going up against Newman Media is a big mistake.
Adam scoffs.
Victor says that Adam is just pissed off at his sister and wants to put Nate in his place.
Adam says it’s a good move.
Victor shakes his fist and tells Adam it’s a stupid move.
Adam says that he’ll sell off the dead weight and make McCall mean and lean, and then go after Newman Media.
Victor warns Adam that Newman Media is not a small company, he should go after smaller fish.
Adam says that he’s going to wipe Newman Media out.
He looks over and sees Nate in the lobby and wonders what he’s doing at the club so early.
Adam says that Nate doesn’t have a gym bag with him and isn’t there for a morning workout or for breakfast.
Victor says that it looks like he’s on the way to the office, and Adam should take note and do the same himself.
Adam scoffs and leaves the club.
Victoria comes down the stairs into the lobby just after Adam goes out the door.
Victor waves Victoria over and asks what she’s doing there so early.
Crimson Lights
Lucy asks how Daniel’s boss/friend is.
Daniel says if she’s talking about Lily, she’s away visiting her son, and that she offered him some time off from Omega Sphere but he didn’t take it. Daniel says he needs to work to keep his mind off of things.
Lucy says that she hopes that he fixed the bugs she found in Omega Sphere.
Daniel laughs and asks if she has an official bug report.
Chelsea walks into the cafe, and Daniel introduces her to Lucy.
Chelsea says, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Princess Louisa.”
The Abbott Mansion
Chance tells Jack that the hair and DNA evidence isn’t enough to prove anything.
Diane pipes up and says that her lawyer wouldn’t agree.
Chance says that the chain of evidence is compromised. He asks why Jack didn’t talk to him and have the police department search the motel.
He says that Jack screwed up by doing it himself. He leaves the Abbott house.
Jack says that he really messed up, and he says that they need to find some new evidence.
Diane says that she can’t believe that what started as a set-up to frame Stark turned into this.
Summer looks uncomfortable and slips out the front door.
Crimson Lights
Lucy asks how Chelsea knows about Princess Louisa, she thought that was top secret.
Daniel explains to Lucy that Chelsea is a designer for the game so knows a lot about it.
They talk for a minute about the game which leads to a discussion about Johnny and Connor.
Chelsea mentions how she gave Johnny up for adoption and only recently reunited with him. She asks Lucy if that’s too much information to share.
Chancellor Park
Audra meets Nate in the park and asks if he’s wearing the same suit as yesterday.
Nate says he spent the night at the GCAC and didn’t have a chance to change.
Audra smirks and says it must have been nice to spend time with Victoria.
The GCAC
Victor asks Victoria what she’s doing at the Athletic Club so early.
Victoria sits down and makes an excuse about how she’s been working very hard lately and ended up getting a room there last night.
Victor asks her to explain what’s going on between her and Nate Hastings.
Victoria says it’s nothing serious, but she’s involved with Nate.
Victor says that Nick is concerned about Nate’s intentions… Is he right to be concerned?
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle tells Jack and Diane that they need to check the surveillance cameras around the time that Phyllis would have been at the motel. He says Summer could pick Phyllis out by her walk.
He looks around… “Summer? Where did she go?”
Society
Summer comes into the restaurant and thanks Chance for not saying anything about their conversation last night.
Chance says that she must have put on a show for Kyle. He says he has a feeling that Summer’s not going to own up to anything, which is her prerogative.
He says that if she’s keeping something from Kyle, though, it could spell big trouble for her marriage.
Chancellor Park
Nate tells Audra that she should keep her thoughts on his relationship with Victoria to herself.
Audra laughs and says it’s a relationship now. She says that she can be very valuable, and he should take her up on her offer.
Nate asks if her loyalty comes with a price tag. He says that he knows what she wants… When he rises through the ranks, he’ll make sure Newman Media is hers.
The GCAC
Victoria tells Victor that it’s not any of Nick’s business to worry about Nate.
Victor says that the company is their concern.
Victoria says that Nick isn’t cut-throat like Nate is and that she likes that Nate’s developing that edge.
Victor says that she’d better keep that edge because Adam is going to come after Newman Media.
Victoria says she welcomes the challenge.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane tells Jack that Summer probably wanted some time alone. She says that Phyllis might cover her tracks so they’ll never find her.
Jack says they know Phyllis is alive, and hopes that Chance will come around and track Phyllis down.
Diane says she’s tired of being stuck in the house.
Jack offers her a diversion… To start planning their wedding.
Diane tells him he’s really something.
Jack says they’ll have the wedding of her dreams. They kiss and hug.
Society
Summer thanks Chance for letting her have space to have her feelings. She says that everybody seems to have their own ideas on how she should feel.
Chance says he’s not emotionally tied up in it like Jack, Kyle, and Diane are.
Summer says she was serious when she asked him for help. She says that Chance is the only one she can trust to find Phyllis and clear her name.
Chance says that if there’s anything she can tell him, it will help.
Summer says that she has nothing to say.
Chance says he’ll be in touch with any updates.
Summer leaves and makes a call outside the restaurant. She leaves a voicemail begging for her mom to come home.
