Today’s Young and the Restless recap airs in the USA on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, and airs one day ahead in Canada. We post our Y&R recaps every weekday!
Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Jordan’s fate was revealed, Phyllis pulled an alarming prank on Danny & Christine, and Lily refuses to absolve Heather.
Danny’s GCAC Suite
Phyllis sets off the fire alarm outside Danny’s suite and runs away, laughing to herself and sucking her finger, which she cut on the alarm pull.
Danny and Christine throw on their clothes and run out of the room, laughing.
Society
Audra walks into the restaurant and approaches Sally, asking if she’d like some company.
Sally says she’s waiting for Adam, but she’s welcome to join her until he arrives… She needs someone to distract her from the article she’s reading about a successful design firm that’s not hers.
Audra tells Sally she’s free to vent as long as she doesn’t mind Audra venting to her.
Sally asks how things are between Audra and Tucker.
Audra says she wanted to take Sally’s advice and fight for her and Tucker’s relationship, but she doesn’t think it’s worth saving.
Crimson Lights
Tucker calls Ashley and leaves a voicemail. He’s wondering what’s up with her… First, she told him she wanted to pick up where they left off and run Glissade together, but then she texted him to “forget everything.” He says he’d like to meet in person if something is up with her. He asks her to call him back.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack walks down the stairs into the living room and sees Ashley sitting on the sofa with headphones on, watching something on her tablet and eating popcorn.
Ashley laughs to herself as she watches videos. She takes a sip of pop and nibbles at her popcorn.
Jack asks what she’s watching.
Ashley, startled, takes off her headphones and says she’s on season three.
Jack wasn’t aware she had that much free time.
Ashley says it keeps her out of trouble. She asks if he’d like to talk about business or something.
Jack says he’d like to know what’s going on with her… She’s binge-watching a sitcom in their living room, and that’s not like her.
Ashley raises an eyebrow. “Says who?”
Jack says Billy’s noticed that she hasn’t been acting like herself. Is something going on?
Ashley says she wasn’t feeling very good, so she came home to “chill.” She says it’s relaxing, and Jack should try it; it’s a lot cheaper than all the booze he drinks! She asks why everyone is making such a fuss; what do they all want from her? She munches on some popcorn.
Society
Sally tells Audra she doesn’t want to tell her how to feel, but why wouldn’t Audra think that love is worth saving?
Audra says it only feels like love, but really, it’s stupidity.
Sally says she may not know Audra or Tucker very well, but Audra seemed adamant that she and Tucker had a unique connection and she had feelings for him.
Audra says unique doesn’t always mean healthy.
Sally says love doesn’t always come easy… She and Adam have been through a lot of rough times.
Audra asks Sally if Adam ever used her in a sick love triangle.
Sally says she and Adam have had “romantic complications,” but not like that.
Audra says Tucker swears he adores her, but he can’t seem to let go of Ashley… Ashley seems to show up every time Audra turns around!
Sally says it sounds like Ashley is the one who’s showing up and is in Tucker’s face.
Audra says Ashley’s in her face, too.
Sally nods. Not good.
Audra says she’s given Tucker ultimatums to cut off Ashley, or she’s gone… Now he’s come up with the most outrageous excuse to stay in Ashley’s life.
Sally says she’s dying to find out what it is.
Audra says Tucker is claiming that Ashley has a legitimate psychological issue and that her decision to pursue him is a cry for help.
Sally is surprised… Ashley seems like one of the most confident and stable people in Genoa City!
Audra agrees that Ashley seems stable. She figures Ashley is faking it to win Tucker back, or Tucker’s made up an excuse to stay in Ashley’s life. Either way, Audra can’t keep putting herself through it; she’s done with Tucker, and this time, she means it.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Phyllis paces back and forth in the lobby as the fire alarm rings. She sees Danny and Christine walk down the stairs and calls out to them, saying how crazy it is… She was just getting a cup of coffee and some OJ, and then this happened! She says they look unkempt… Were they just in the middle of something? She says it’s tough, they must be really frustrated!
The alarms turn off and people start filing back inside. Christine says it must have been a false alarm; if they’d waited longer to get dressed, they could have stayed upstairs in the comfort of their room.
Phyllis laughs. “Better safe than sorry!” She says she’s just looking out for her pals!
Christine looks at Phyllis’s hand and asks if she’s bleeding. She asks to see her finger.
Phyllis says it’s just a hangnail and asks if Christine is a manicurist now.
Christine says she’s curious how Phyllis managed to hurt herself by having a glass of orange juice.
Phyllis doesn’t say anything.
Christine wonders whether “someone” pulled the alarm on purpose.
Phyllis asks who would do such a thing.
Christine says anyone who would pull a fire alarm under false pretenses is obviously “deeply disturbed” and doesn’t care about pulling emergency crews away from an actual emergency.
Phyllis says it’s possible the batteries were dead or the fire alarm malfunctioned.
Danny raises an eyebrow. Really?
Christine says it’s more likely that an insecure woman pulled the alarm and hurt her finger.
Phyllis acts offended; what is Christine insinuating?
Christine says she’s insinuating that Phyllis was the one who pulled the alarm.
Phyllis asks Danny if he’s going to let Christine talk to her like this.
Danny hopes Phyllis is as innocent as she’s acting.
Phyllis says it’s outrageous! What possible motive would she have for this?
Christine says jealousy would be her motivation; she knew Danny and Christine were upstairs and couldn’t stand the thought of them together.
Phyllis says the only reason she knew they were upstairs “doing something” was because they came down half-naked and disheveled.
Christine reminds Phyllis that she taunted her earlier about how sad and lonely Christine must be because Danny rejected her.
Phyllis says she was concerned for Christine, and Christine never contradicted her.
Christine says she actually felt sorry for Phyllis, but then Phyllis went on about how she was going to see Danny on his tour, and he had already invited Christine to go with him.
Phyllis laughs and says she’s lying.
Danny says Christine isn’t lying.
Christine says Phyllis must have followed her upstairs and probably listened at the door… When Phyllis knew she and Danny were together, it must have driven her crazy.
Phyllis says the only crazy thing is that Danny would be interested in someone like Christine.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley tells Jack she went through a hard time with Tucker; sorry if watching a sitcom isn’t cool by Jack’s standards!
Jack says she should do whatever she needs to do to get her mind off Tucker, but he thinks she’s going about it erratically.
Ashley says she’s trying to figure it out. She thinks she needs a “vacay.”
Jack thinks that’s a good idea. She and Traci could go to a warm, sunny beach.
Ashley says she wants to get away from her family; she wants a vacation away from them. She leaves the room, and as she heads into the hallway, she stumbles a bit and holds her head.
A voice in Ashley’s head says that “Ash” isn’t strong enough for this… And she’s not helping; she’s raising suspicion! The voice tells her she needs to hand over control to her.
Ashley’s mannerisms change; she looks colder and more calculating.
Crimson Lights
Tucker gets up from his table as Audra walks into the indoor patio. Audra turns around to leave, and Tucker calls after her.
Audra asks what he wants.
Tucker says she never answered him about Glissade.
Audra says she thought she’d made herself crystal clear.
Tucker says what’s going on with Ashley has nothing to do with how he feels for Audra or what he knows she feels for him.
Audra scoffs.
Tucker says they have a company to run; they shouldn’t let personal things get in the way of that.
Audra says they can’t work things out between them; how could they possibly work together?
Tucker says they’ve never had a problem finding their way back to each other in the past.
Audra says he doesn’t get it. She’s angry and feels used. She’s done fighting for him, especially since Ashley’s sick seduction attempt.
Tucker says he thinks Ashley is actually sick.
Audra can’t believe Tucker’s falling for it. She says Ashley is playing him; she’s not a fragile flower who’s having a mental collapse, and Audra wouldn’t care if she was! She says Tucker feels like he has to be the one to save Ashley, and that’s not healthy for Audra. She says she’s out, romantically and professionally… Is that clear enough for him?
Tucker says he has to help Ashley; he owes it to her.
Audra tells him to knock himself out. Helping Ashley comes with a price; he’s losing Audra because of it.
Tucker says he cares about Ashley and always will, but he’s not in love with her. He asks if Audra still cares about Noah… Will she ever stop caring about Noah? He asks if Audra expects him to stop having any feelings toward Ashley; she has been part of his life for a long time, and he’s going to do whatever he needs to do to help her. He promises that once Ashley has help, he’ll do whatever it takes to do whatever it takes to fix his relationship with Audra. He tells her not to throw away her career because of it.
Audra asks if he thinks she can’t succeed without him.
Tucker shakes his head. He knows she can succeed without him. He says they have plans for the company; they have meetings scheduled all over Europe!
Audra says those meetings were postponed because of Ashley.
Tucker tears up and says she should take a minute to think about it; she’s missing a big opportunity.
Audra says she doesn’t care if it is a mistake; she’s made other mistakes, and it won’t be her last. She thinks getting away from Tucker is the smartest move she’s ever made.
Nate walks in and sees them talking.
Tucker takes Audra’s arm and tells her to wait.
Audra pulls her arm away and tells him not to touch her.
Nate tells Tucker, “You heard the lady!”

Society
Adam joins Sally at her table.
Sally welcomes him back and asks how his follow-up session with the OCD specialist went.
Adam says it didn’t go too well… Connor hated being there, and so did Adam.
Sally asks what’s wrong… Was it the doctor? Did Connor not connect with her?
Adam shakes his head. He says it’s everything else: the diagnosis, treatment options, and the feelings Connor’s struggling with. He says Connor begged him to come back home, so they brought him home, but he doesn’t think Connor will be home long if Chelsea and Dr. Alcott get their way. He says Connor said he “hates himself.”
Sally says they should go somewhere more private to talk.
Adam agrees, and they leave.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack cleans up behind Ashley, gathering up popcorn and chips.
Traci walks in and asks if she’d heard Ashley’s voice.
Jack says Ashley stormed out.
Traci laughs. What did Jack say to her?
Jack says he has no idea; when he walked in, she was watching a sitcom on her tablet and laughing like a teenager.
Traci says that’s better than Ashley’s prickly attitude that she’s had lately.
Jack says it was strange… When has Traci ever known Ashley to binge-watch anything other than a documentary?
Traci says she writes romance novels, and it’s a good thing people need to escape from reality… Ashley’s had a stressful time!
Jack says Ashley seemed so different… She seemed unhinged.
Traci can see Jack is really worried about Ashley.
Jack says Billy is worried, too. Billy had met Ashley at Society and told Jack she was not herself.
Traci says she was concerned when they were in Paris, but since they’ve been home, Ashley promised she’d put the entire episode and Tucker behind her.
Ashley walks halfway down the stairs and hears Jack and Traci talking about her. She stops and listens.
Traci wonders if Ashley told her that to cover up her true feelings… Maybe this has hit Ashley harder than Traci realized. She had to come to terms with exaggerating events in Paris and admitting Tucker was right.
Jack says it couldn’t have been easy for Ashley to admit that to herself or to Tucker.
Traci nods and says it sounds like it’s taken a toll on Ashley to have misread reality like that.
Ashley walks up behind them and tells them to stop psychoanalyzing her. She says she’s fine; Tucker hasn’t reduced her to an emotional mess. She’s put it all behind her; isn’t that what they wanted her to do?
Jack says it is what they wanted.
Ashley asks why they’re still harping about it… They talk about Tucker more than she does!
Traci says they’d be thrilled if Ashley was over Tucker and the damage he’s done.
Ashley says they should be thrilled; the great mystery of Paris has been solved, and Ashley was wrong. She’d love to move on with her life, but she can’t because Jack and Traci are whispering about her behind her back about how she should be committed because she’s watching a sitcom.
Jack says that’s not how he’d characterize their earlier encounter… She was acting strange.
Ashley says she doesn’t want or need them to watch her like a hawk for any sign of weakness.
Traci says she can’t blame them for being protective of her.
Ashley says she can blame them, and she does. She’s solid and wants to move on with her life. She tells them to back off and let her.
Jack tries to talk to her, but she stalks away and leaves the house. He tells Traci he gives up; he’s tried to reach out to her, but she insists on doing things her way. Maybe they should let go!
Traci thinks that’d be a big mistake.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Sally asks Adam what the doctor said about Connor.
Adam says Dr. Alcott recommended that Connor go to a residential treatment center. There are only a few in the country, and one of the best is on the East Coast; it’s a huge step!
Sally says it might be what Connor needs: a place that specializes in OCD so he can get the help he needs.
Adam says that’s the theory, but Connor begged him not to make him go to the program.
Sally nods. She can see how it’d be scary for Connor; did he say what upset him about it?
Adam says Connor told him he has trouble getting used to new places.
Sally says Connor got used to the school and liked it there.
Adam says there were things that they never picked up on and Connor never told them about. He says Connor admitted to changing dorm rooms because the numbers on his room scared him.
Sally doesn’t get it.
Adam explains that certain numbers freak Connor out; some are “good,” and some are “bad.” Adam says he doesn’t understand it himself.
Sally thinks it must be exhausting for Connor. She had no idea he was struggling with those kind of thoughts. She says a facility might be able to help him.
Adam says he read about the facility, and they use Exposure and Response Prevention. They make you face your obsessions and trigger your anxiety, and they support and coach you on how to control your compulsive behaviors.
Sally says it’s promising; they’ve got a program proven to help.
Adam wonders if it’ll just trigger Connor and make things worse.
The GCAC Lobby
Christine tells Phyllis that causing a false fire alarm is a felony, and Phyllis is still on parole… How much does she want to bet there’s blood from Phyllis’s finger on that alarm?
Phyllis says it’s a good thing Christine isn’t the D.A. anymore.
Christine says she could file a report as a concerned citizen… The world would be safer with Phyllis behind bars.
Danny says nobody’s calling the cops. He hopes Cricket’s theory is wrong, but either way, Phyllis needs to let her fixation with him and Christine go; she has to move on… It’s over. He takes Christine’s arm and asks her to return to their suite with him.
Christine thinks that’s a great idea. She smiles at Phyllis as she and Danny head upstairs.
Crimson Lights
Tucker tells Nate to mind his own business.
Nate tells Tucker to stop harassing his friend.
Tucker says there’s no harassment; they’re having a private conversation.
Audra says they were, but they’re done talking. She asks Nate to buy her a cup of coffee.
Nate nods and says it’d be his pleasure. He heads off with Audra to order.
Tucker glares after them, and his phone pings with a notification.
It’s Ashley. She wants him to meet her at Society.
Danny’s GCAC Suite
Christine can’t believe Phyllis would pull an alarm to mess with them.
Danny says they can’t be sure that’s what happened.
Christine says they’re lucky Phyllis didn’t burn the place down; she’s a danger to society!
Danny says it was a childish move, and it didn’t work. He says they should pick up where they left off. He turns the music back on and says there’s only one problem… They’re wearing too many clothes!
Christine laughs, and they kiss.
The GCAC Dining Room
Sally asks Adam what Chelsea thinks.
Adam says Chelsea is furious that he agreed to bring Connor back home to Genoa City; she’s ready to ship Connor off today!
Sally says she doubts Chelsea sees it as shipping Connor off; she wants to get him treatment as soon as possible so he can feel better.
Adam says he knows Chelsea is as upset about it as he is; she stayed to talk to the doctor after Connor’s session. He wonders why they’re pushing their opinion on him. Why can’t they pause and get a second opinion? He says this label will impact the rest of Connor’s life, and he wants to make sure they’re doing the right thing.
Sally doesn’t think anyone sees Adam as the enemy.
Adam says it feels that way to him. He says Billy’s comments are out of line, too.
Sally says getting a second opinion sounds reasonable and asks if Chelsea is against getting one.
Adam says he hasn’t suggested it yet, but Chelsea is 100% on board with the doctor’s plan.
Sally asks if Adam doesn’t trust the doctor.
Adam says the doctor seemed smart and knows her stuff.
Sally asks what’s making Adam hesitant.
Adam says it’s happening too fast. At first, they thought Connor needed a tutor, now, they have to ship him off to get treatment at a facility. He says Connor is terrified and believes that going to a hospital means there’s something wrong with him, and he won’t get better. He says Connor has a hopeless look in his eye and calls himself crazy.
Sally wonders if Adam is afraid of having a plan in place.
Adam says he wants to do everything he can to help his son… Why would he be afraid of that?
Sally says this would mean that Adam would have to accept Connor’s disorder. She feels that Adam is struggling to believe that Connor is actually sick.
Adam can’t believe she’d say that; he’s doing everything he can to come to terms with it and get Connor the help he needs! He can’t become an expert overnight! He says when Connor gets triggered by a situation like getting dirt on his hands, it can feel like his life is in danger. He doesn’t know how he missed seeing that Connor was struggling with his private pain.
Sally hugs him and comforts him.
Crimson Lights
Nate brings Audra a coffee.
Audra thanks him for the coffee and the “assist” with Tucker.
Nate says he doubts Audra needed his help, but he couldn’t help himself. Tucker brings it out in him. He asks where Audra and Tucker stand… First, she hated him and wanted Nate’s help to steal his company, then she was holding his hands in public, and next thing you know, there’s a press release about her new position at Glissade.
Audra says there’s no need for a boring blow-by-blow, but the bottom line is that she’s done with Tucker… In all ways.
Nate says he’s glad to hear it… Assuming this really is the end.
Audra assures him it’s over.
Nate says she’s out of a job, then… Does she have a Plan B?
Audra says she doesn’t yet, but she’ll come up with something; she’s a survivor!
Society
Ashley is sitting on the sofa in Society, primping herself in a compact. Tucker walks in, and she greets him. “Hi, handsome.” She apologizes for taking so long to get back to him and says she wasn’t playing hard to get.
Tucker asks what she meant by the text message saying to “forget the whole thing.”
Ashley says they should call it a stupid mistake.
Tucker says she’s running hot and cold lately.
Ashley says he likes a cat-and-mouse game.
Tucker hopes that’s all it is. He says he wants to know if it’s some sort of revenge game she’s playing so he can stop worrying about her and move on.
Ashley says she can see he’s concerned for her because of the “cute little furrow in his brow…” It means he loves her.
Tucker says he cares deeply for her, but given all the games she’s been playing, he wouldn’t use the word “love” right now.
Ashley asks what she needs to do to convince him her feelings for him aren’t a game.
Tucker says she declared her eternal love for him and then texted him an hour later that she never wanted to see him again. How is he supposed to take that?
Ashley shrugs. She’s mercurial, and so is Tucker. She realized that she couldn’t give up on them.
Tucker says a lot happened between them… The “he said/she said” thing in Paris took a toll on them both, which he thinks messed with her head. He says she seems confused, like she’s teetering on the edge.
Ashley says it’s the edge of something wonderful. She asks him to take a leap with her; he knows he wants to.
Tucker says what he wants is for her to see a psychologist.
Ashley laughs.
Tucker says he’d be happy to go with her, and if he’s wrong, he’ll eat crow. He begs her to do it with him… If she doesn’t do it for him, she should do it for herself.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Adam tells Sally he hates it but knows Connor needs him to be strong.
Sally tells him not to beat himself up for having feelings about it.
Adam says he should have been around for Connor more… Maybe none of this would have happened.
Sally tells him to stop. She says it will sound harsh, but he can’t think about how this affects him. He has to focus on Connor and Connor only. That’s how he’s going to get through this.
The GCAC Dining Room
Phyllis sits at the bar and thanks the bartender for the glass of champagne; it’s never too early for champagne! She tells the guy sitting on the other side of the bar that she’s wiping Danny Romalotti from her life. She mumbles to herself how Danny has no taste in women, and why would he want the bug to go on tour with him when he could have Phyllis?
Phyllis rests her chin on the bar and says she needs to get her life back on track. She’s wiping them from her life! Both of them! She couldn’t care less what they’re doing!
Danny’s GCAC Suite
Danny drops rose petals on Christine’s bare back and traces the words “I love you” on her back while he whispers them.
Christine tells him she loves him too. They kiss.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack tells Traci he doesn’t know what they can do for Ashley… He can’t even ask her how she’s doing without getting a lecture or a tantrum!
Traci says they can’t give up on family.
Jack says he’d done everything he could to keep her away from Tucker but she wouldn’t listen to him, and now she’s ignoring him again even though Tucker broke her heart… And Jack hasn’t even said, “I told you so!”
Traci laughs and says Ashley is humiliated by what happened… Maybe that’s why she’s been acting the way she has.
Jack says the Ashley they just spoke to wasn’t humiliated… She was sure of herself and insisted she was fine; maybe they should listen to her.
Traci says she watched Ashley closely, and Jack was right… There is something off about her! Every instinct she has says this is more than just the thing with Tucker.
Society
Ashley tells Tucker he’s patronizing her by suggesting she needs a therapist.
Tucker asks what the big deal is; is she afraid of what she might learn?
Ashley says she saw a psychologist friend of hers while she was in Paris. She bared her soul and was told that she was perfectly normal with no issues whatsoever.
Tucker wonders if her memory of her chat with her therapist friend is as “crystal clear” as her memories are of their fight in Paris.
Ashley says they’ve been over it. What happened in the cafe was a one-time thing… She thought they were done with that!
Tucker says she won’t have anything to lose, then… If she’s okay, she needs to prove it, and she can throw it in his face if he’s wrong. He says she needs to see someone unbiased in Genoa City.
Ashley says she’s happy with her friend’s analysis.
Tucker says her friend probably told her what she wanted to hear.
Ashley says she trusts her friend to tell her if something is wrong with her.
Tucker says they can do it now or later, but he’s not going to give up until she’s seen someone.
