Today’s Young and the Restless recap airs in the USA on Thursday, March 14, 2024, and airs one day ahead in Canada. We post our Y&R recaps every weekday!
Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Victor & Nick returned home, leaving Jordan locked away, while Lily’s surprise return exposed Daniel & Heather’s relationship.
Society
Daniel walks into the restaurant and approaches Heather, kissing her hello.
Heather asks how Lily took the news that Daniel and Heather were together. She says Lucy was worried that Daniel wouldn’t go through with it since he’s such a nice guy.
Daniel asks if Heather was worried, too.
Chancellor-Winters
Devon sees Lily walk into the lobby and welcomes her back.
Lily asks Devon why he didn’t tell her about Daniel and Heather. She huffs and walks away.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra is packing for her trip to Paris when there’s a knock at the door. It’s Tucker, and she pulls him in and kisses him. She asks him what she thinks of the lingerie she’s bringing with her.
Tucker laughs. “Very nice!”
Audra says she probably doesn’t have to bring too much since they’ll be doing lots of shopping in Paris. She says she managed to get a reservation at a restaurant with a romantic view of the Eiffel Tower.
Tucker says she shouldn’t have made those reservations yet… They have to postpone their trip.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Abby and her mother are talking and munching on salads. Abby says she’s officially on the board at Chancellor-Winters, and the vote was unanimous.
Ashley says, “That’s nice.” She seems detached.
Abby talks about how energized she’s feeling and how she’s ready to make a difference!
Ashley once again says, “That’s nice.”
Abby narrows her eyes at her mother and says she said that already.
Ashley doesn’t see a problem with it… Abby is on the board at Chancellor-Winters, and it’s nice.
Abby says Ashley’s head is “somewhere else.”
Ashley says she’s right there, having lunch with her daughter.
Abby thinks she’s a million miles away.
Ashley says she’s there… She promises.
Abby says whatever the problem is, Ashley can talk to her. She hopes Ashley doesn’t have Tucker on her mind.
Ashley says Abby is the only one with Tucker on the brain.
Abby says she’s concerned about her mom.
Ashley says she doesn’t need to be concerned… She’s over Tucker for good.
Abby says she wants to believe that.
Ashley says she can start believing it now. She tells her to move on and not to threaten Tucker anymore.
Abby asks how Ashley knew about that… She couldn’t have known Abby threatened him unless she saw Tucker last night.
Ashley says she meant in general… Abby has been very clear that she doesn’t want Tucker near Devon or Dominic. She asks about Abby threatening him last night.
Abby says she told him that he needed to stay away from Ashley or there’d be hell to pay.
Ashley wishes Abby hadn’t done that… She can take care of herself!
Abby says she can’t take care of herself where Tucker is concerned.
Ashley asks what else she said.
Abby says it was bizarre… Tucker thinks that Ashley is only pretending to forgive him so that she can turn it around and screw him over. Crazy, right?
Ashley nods. It’s ridiculous! She says she wants to consider the topic of Tucker McCall “officially closed… Forever.”
Abby agrees but wants Ashley to clarify that she’s not softening toward Tucker and he’s out of her life forever.
Ashley says they’ve talked about this a million times; it’s time to discuss something else. She says it’s Abby’s first day as a director of the board at Chancellor-Winters… Devon must be happy to be working with her.
Abby says she loves the atmosphere at Chancellor-Winters.
Ashley tunes out. She thinks “Ashley’s daughter” is a pain in the rear and asks too many questions about Tucker. She can’t wait until she’s cleaned up this mess so that Ashley can return and deal with her nosy, irritating daughter and family.
Abby looks at her mom suspiciously, noticing that “Ashley” isn’t really listening to her.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra asks why they need to postpone the trip to Paris.
Tucker says that the financial director of one of the companies he wanted to acquire has some personal issues and won’t be able to meet for another month.
Audra says that one person unable to meet them shouldn’t make a difference.
Tucker says the operations director of a different company had a skiing accident and is in the hospital.
Audra shrugs. Two people aren’t available… It’s not enough to cancel the trip. She says Paris isn’t only about business.
Tucker nods. He says it seems foolish to make two trips. They planned to see how these companies operated first-hand, and they can’t do it if two of the key players are out of commission. He says they will go, but they need to wait… Maybe a month or so.
Audra thinks Tucker is lying, and he’s canceling because of Ashley.
Chancellor-Winters
Devon walks into Lily’s office. “So you know about Daniel?”
Lily is upset. She says she walked into Daniel’s office to surprise him, but she was the one who got a surprise. She says she chatted on the phone for months with Daniel, and he never said anything, but Devon knew about it and didn’t tell her!
Devon says he’s sorry. He says he confronted Daniel, who wanted to tell Lily about it himself. Devon made him promise to tell her as soon as possible. He says he hated keeping it from her, as did Daniel, but they both figured Lily didn’t need to be overwhelmed while she was helping her daughter.
Lily says she knows he was trying to protect her, but she wants to scream and slap Daniel in the face… Maybe she wants to slap Devon, too! She says she never forgot that Daniel and Heather had a daughter, and they’re still a family.
Devon nods. There was a strong connection between Daniel and Heather.
Lily says she felt the connection when Heather came to town, but Daniel didn’t want to admit it. She says that when he told her that he was breaking up with her, she understood that Daniel wanted his family again. As hurt as she is, it makes sense.
Devon says that’s very understanding of Lily.
Lily says she asked Daniel if he’d fallen back in love with Heather, and he said he’d never stopped loving her.
Devon nods. He’s sorry.
Lily says it was never about Lucy… It was about Daniel and what he wanted. What does that say about their relationship?
Devon tells her he’s there for her if he can help improve things.
Lily sighs. She apologizes for her behavior and tells him she’s not angry at him. She sits down on the couch and says she’s really sad. She thought she had something special with Daniel, but she was wrong.
Society
Daniel tells Heather that he told Lily everything. It was harder than he expected.
Heather asks how Lily took the news.
Daniel says it was like you’d expect… Lily was hurt and upset but said she wasn’t really surprised.
Heather asks how Daniel is feeling about things.
Daniel says he might have been too honest with Lily… She asked him if he’d fallen back in love with Heather.
Heather asks what he said.
Daniel says he told Lily that he never stopped loving Heather. He said it wasn’t about bringing their family together for Lucy’s sake; he wanted another chance with Heather after he’d screwed up the first time by being an ass. He says he’s no longer an “ass” now, though Lily might disagree with that.
Heather says he’s a good man. Does he regret what happened?
Daniel says he regrets that he hurt Lily, but he’s not sorry that he reconnected with Heather and they have a future together.
He kisses her hand, and she smiles.
The GCAC Dining Room
Abby tells Ashley that some power struggles are happening between Billy and Devon.
Ashley says that’s so interesting, but she has to get back to the lab… Her creative juices are flowing and she’s working on something she’s excited about.
Abby asks what she’s working on.
Ashley gets up from the table and tells her daughter that she’ll have to wait like everyone else… It’s a surprise.
Abby says she should get back to the office, too.
Ashley dismissively says, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” She goes to get their coats.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Tucker says postponing their Paris trip has nothing to do with Ashley.
Audra doesn’t believe it, especially after “the show” Ashley put on last night, in which she declared that she would win Tucker back and that nobody would get in her way.
Tucker says he doesn’t care what Ashley wants or what she said. He wants to go to Paris with Audra, but he doesn’t think the timing is right.
Audra says Tucker promised he wouldn’t let Ashley interfere with their trip.
Tucker says Ashley’s not interfering… She has nothing to do with it!
Audra doesn’t believe it. Ashley’s been popping into his room whenever she feels like it!
Tucker says he doesn’t have control over what Ashley does.
Audra says he can stop opening the door to her and responding to her texts and calls… Maybe he could be more convincing when he tells her he never wants to see her again!
Tucker says his decision has nothing to do with Ashley; it’s a business decision! He offers to show Audra the emails from the businesses that’ve had to cancel their meetings.
Audra says it’s a big coincidence that the emails came in today… Why wasn’t she CC’d on them? She’s usually looped in on all Glissade emails!
Tucker shrugs. She’ll have to ask whoever sent the emails.
Audra says maybe she will… Maybe they’ll give her a straight answer!
Tucker asks what she wants from him.
Audra says she wants the truth.
Tucker shakes his head. He asks if this is how it’ll be between them; every conversation they have turns into Audra interrogating him about Ashley! He gets angry and says he only wants to be with Audra. What does he need to do to make her believe it?
Audra says nothing.
Tucker says he spent months trying to convince Ashley that he was trustworthy, but in the end, she told him he couldn’t be trusted. He says if that’s how it will be with Audra, he’s out. He stalks out of her room, angry.

The Genoa City Athletic Club
In the lobby, Abby and Ashley are putting on their jackets. Abby tells her mom that she seems to be in a good place… Like she’s put Tucker behind her. She reminds Ashley that she and Devon saw her in the club last night, and she’d said that she wasn’t going to see Tucker.
Ashley nods… So?
Abby asks if it was true… Did she see Tucker last night?
Ashley sighs. Will Abby ever trust her?
Abby says Ashley was determined to have Devon forgive Tucker, and she’s worried that Ashley is considering forgiving him, too.
Ashley says she only said that for Devon’s sake. She wanted Devon to know she’d made a mistake about his father and their argument in Paris.
Abby nods. Good. She says they can stop talking about Tucker now. She tells her mom she loves her and leaves the club.
Ashley thinks to herself that meeting with Abby was insufferable. “If you only knew the things I do to protect you, Ashley!“
Tucker walks down the stairs and passes Ashley without a word, heading for the lounge.
Ashley calls after him and asks what’s wrong… Is it Audra?
Tucker asks, “What’s going on with you, Ashley?”
Ashley says she just had a very long lunch with her daughter.
Tucker says that’s not what he asked… What’s going on inside her head?
Ashley says she made herself clear last night. She meant every word she said, even though Tucker thinks she’s playing games with him.
Tucker says he has some other theories… Does she want to hear them?
Ashley says she’d love to spend more time with him.
Tucker says he doesn’t think Ashley doesn’t know what she wants or what she’s doing.
Ashley smiles salaciously and says he’s got her attention now… Does he want to go somewhere private to discuss it? How about they go up to his room?
Tucker declines.
Ashley nods. Audra wouldn’t like that, but does that really matter?
Tucker says he cares about what Audra thinks.
Ashley asks why they’re still in Genoa City… Shouldn’t they have been on their way to Paris by now?
Tucker says there were some business “hiccups.”
Ashley smirks and says Audra believes that as much as she does. She says he’s in Genoa City because something in town is much more interesting than his “stupid” trip to Paris with Audra.
Tucker shakes his head and says Ashley’s not acting like herself.
Ashley says she’s never been more like herself.
Tucker thinks that’s debatable. He tells her to follow him. He leaves the lobby and heads down to the lounge.
Ashley smiles coldly and follows him.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra mutters under her breath that she’s so stupid. She looks in her suitcase and gets upset, throwing it aside. “Damn it!”
Audra shakes her head and grabs her purse. She heads out of her room, angry and upset.
Chancellor-Winters
Lily daubs at her tears with a tissue and tells Devon she’s “batting 1000%” in the love department.
Devon says she hasn’t found anyone that deserves her yet.
Lily laughs ironically. Spoken like a brother who loves her!
Devon tells her to take the day off to clear her head.
Lily says she wants to work; she needs the distraction. She asks Devon to catch her up on what’s been happening at the office; he mentioned issues between him and Billy.
Devon says things with Billy aren’t terrible, but they’re not good, either. He says Chance is fitting in well, and Billy is mentoring him, for better or worse!
Abby walks in and says she wants to get there before the board meeting. She sees Lily and runs over to hug her. She asks how Mattie is doing.
Lily says Mattie’s doing much better now. She says it’s exciting that Abby is on the board of directors and that Devon is filling her in on the office intrigue.
Abby says she’s looking forward to working with Lily… And there’s no shortage of office intrigues!
Lily asks what’s happening with Billy… Is he going back to Jabot now that she’s back?
Devon says he wouldn’t bet on it. He says he thought Billy was just there to fill in for Lily while she was away, but he seems to have turned things into a personal crusade to protect Jill and her legacy from the Winters family.
Lily asks if this is about adding “Abbott” to the company name.
Devon says that’s just one of Billy’s many power plays… He’s onto a new one now!
Lily says Billy has lots of ideas.
Devon says this idea is Mamie’s; she wants to divide the company into two separate entities while keeping the same name.
Crimson Lights
Audra walks into the coffee shop while looking at her phone. She bumps into Sally, almost spilling her coffee. She apologizes, saying they haven’t seen each other since they first met.
Sally says she’s heard great things about Glissade’s new lipstick line and asks if they have any plans for new products.
Audra says Sally needs to ask Tucker about that; he’s making a lot of the decisions right now.
Sally asks what working with Tucker is like.
Audra says it’s no different than Sally working with Adam Newman.
Sally nods, “Point taken.” She takes her coffee and heads to a table. She turns around and asks Audra if she’s staying or taking it to go. If she has time, would she be interested in joining her for a coffee?
Audra nods. She’d like that. She takes a seat with Sally and proposes a toast. “To being fired from Newman Media and surviving!”
They clink their coffee cups in a toast, smiling.
Sally says working with the Newmans can be a nightmare… Unless you’re a Newman! She says being involved with one of them complicates the matter.
Audra nods. She says she’s seen Sally and Adam around town… Are they an item now?
Sally says they are.
Audra says that’s great.
Sally laughs and says not many people would agree with Audra about that.
Audra says if they’re happy together, that’s all that matters, even if it’s complicated.
Sally thanks her and asks about Audra and Tucker; are they just business partners, or is it something more?
Audra laughs. “Girl… More!” She laughs and thanks Sally for not looking appalled.
Sally says she gets it. They both care about men who are all about pushing the limits and don’t care about winning popularity contests.
Audra says Tucker isn’t winning a popularity contest with her right now… They’re supposed to be on a plane to Paris!
Sally says Audra’s having coffee with her right now instead… Sorry! She laughs and asks what happened.
Audra says it was supposed to be a business/pleasure trip, but Tucker claimed there were problems with some of the businesspeople they were meeting, and they had to postpone the trip.
Sally figures Audra doesn’t believe Tucker’s claims.
Audra asks how well Sally knows Tucker’s ex-wife.
Sally says she doesn’t know Ashley Abbott very well… Ashley told her off years ago, but that’s pretty much their only interaction. She asks if Audra thinks there’s still something going on between Tucker and Ashley.
Audra says she didn’t think so, but Ashley told Audra to her face that she wanted Tucker back.
Sally asks what Tucker’s reaction was to that.
Audra says Tucker told her he’s done with Ashley for good, but she doesn’t think he is. She wonders whether Tucker is worth fighting for… Or should she get out before things get ugly?
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Ashley and Tucker take a seat in the lounge. Ashley wonders if it’s too early for a cocktail. She’d love an old fashioned!
Tucker is immediately suspicious… Since when did she like old fashioneds?
Ashley smiles at him and says he’s staring at her.
Tucker says she’s not acting like herself.
Ashley says she’s finally understood what she really wants.
Tucker says the Ashley he knows is subtle, understated, and thoughtful, but she’s been acting differently lately. He says she came up to his suite and declared her love for him in front of Audra, and she seemed reckless, aggressive, and dark.
Ashley says those are qualities that he likes about himself.
Tucker says Ashley isn’t him.
Ashley says that’s the problem; she needs to be more like him! She says Audra went on and on about how much she and Tucker were alike, and Ashley’s willing to change if it’ll make Tucker happy!
Ashley reaches over to kiss and hug Tucker, but he pushes her away. She says he’s no fun.
Tucker says he thought there was an endgame to her antics, but now, he doesn’t know what’s going on with her, and he doesn’t think she does, either.
Ashley says she’s been clear about what her end game is about… It’s Tucker.
Tucker says that’s the issue… Ashley hated and despised him, yet suddenly, she’s in love with him? He doesn’t believe it.
Ashley says he can’t possibly believe that she’s trying to set him up so that she can pull the rug out from under him. What would she have to gain?
Tucker says that’s what he’s trying to figure out.
Ashley says there’s nothing to figure out. She’s sincere and wants to give him everything he wants… Both of them, together like they used to be!
Tucker says he saw something in her eyes last night and is seeing it again now. At first, he thought it was doubt, but he realized that it’s confusion.
Ashley asks what he thinks she’s confused about.
Tucker says he’s been asking himself that and doesn’t know the answer. He’s convinced something is going on; something is off with her!
Ashley laughs and says she sees how he’s playing this; he can’t admit to himself that he loves her, so he has to make out like she has mental health issues, just like he did in Paris after their fight!
Tucker asks her not to talk to him about Paris; can she blame him? Her recollection of the fight in Paris wasn’t remotely connected to reality! He says her behavior would be problematic coming from anyone, but coming from her… Ashley has a brilliant mind, and if there’s something wrong and there’s anything he can do, he wants to help her.
Chancellor-Winters
Lily is confused; Billy and Mamie want to divide the company? Hadn’t they already been through this?
Devon says they have, but he figures Billy will bring it to the board for a vote. He asks Abby if Billy has contacted her to get her vote.
Abby smirks. She figures Billy is “for” the motion to divide the company, and Devon is against it.
Devon nods. He says it’s too extreme of a measure.
Abby says she hasn’t spoken to Billy, but she feels like she’s walking a tightrope between two families she loves.
Lily says Mamie must have come to town to shake things up at the company and get them out of Jill Abbott’s orbit for good. She asks what Devon thinks.
Devon thinks all hell will break loose, and Lily chose the best and the worst time to come home.
Lily agrees.
Daniel’s Apartment
Heather and Daniel walk into his apartment. Heather says it must have been rough for Lily to come home and find Daniel, Lucy, and Heather having breakfast together and then to find out that Daniel had slept with Heather and was in love with her.
Daniel nods and says it really threw Lily for a loop.
Heather asks if the breakup will make things difficult at work.
Daniel says it’ll be “interesting,” but they’re adults, so they’ll have to figure out how to make things work. He says he doesn’t want to talk about it anymore… He’d rather talk about more important things.
Heather asks what he wants to talk about.
Daniel says they should talk about Wayland Mars… Who is he, and will they let him take their daughter to the prom?
Heather laughs and says they will… If he asks. She says she and Lucy found a few nice dresses while they were out.
Daniel isn’t sure he’s ready for his daughter to go to the prom with a date.
Heather asks if he’s ready for them. They don’t have to hide their relationship or keep their distance in public. They can kiss each other anytime and anywhere they want… Except at Chancellor-Winters! She kisses him.
Daniel smiles and agrees that they don’t want to do anything to make Lily uncomfortable. He can’t wait to see what comes next for them.
They kiss.
Crimson Lights
Sally tells Audra they barely know each other but feels she’s been where Audra is and offers her help.
Audra says Tucker is brilliant and unorthodox; he knows what he wants, and nothing will stop him from getting it. She says Tucker won’t let anything get in his way, especially rules. She says it’s exciting and intoxicating.
Sally figures Audra can’t get enough of him, even if she knows deep down that she should run away.
Audra nods. Something like that. She says she has run, but she always comes back. She thought she and Tucker had a committed relationship, but apparently, they don’t.
Sally asks if it’s because of Ashley.
Audra says Ashley was always Tucker’s ideal woman, even though she’s only tortured him through the years. She shrugs. Maybe Ashley and Tucker deserve each other.
Sally says Audra doesn’t strike her as the type to give up on something.
Audra says it’s not about giving up; she doesn’t want to get hurt again.
Sally gets it. She says she was done with Adam when they broke up and she did everything to purge him from her mind, but she couldn’t. She says that Audra needs to fight harder if she and Tucker have love like Sally and Adam do.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Ashley tells Tucker she’s feeling better than she has in a while; he can’t help her because there’s nothing wrong with her… She wants things to return to how they were before she messed things up!
Tucker nods… She keeps saying that.
Ashley says it’s the truth.
Tucker asks if she’d abandon her family if they got back together… Would her sole focus be on their relationship and partnership?
Ashley nods. “In a heartbeat!”
Tucker laughs and buries his head in his hands.
Ashley says she ruined everything, and she regrets it. She promises it will never happen again.
Tucker asks why he should believe her.
Ashley kisses him in response.
