On the last episode of Y&R, Victor outsmarted Jordan with a clever reversal as Nick delivered an electrifying twist.

Adam walks into the restaurant and hugs Sally.
Sally asks if he’s heard anything new about Connor.
Adam shakes his head. He’s in town to grab some stuff for Connor but hasn’t heard anything from Chelsea.
Sally asks when he’s heading back to see Connor.
Adam says he’s got a lot going on, family-wise, and it feels like everything is “spiraling,” but he plans to return to Minnesota as soon as possible.
Sally asks what he means when he says everything is spiraling.
Adam says his son’s in deep emotional pain, and his father’s life is in the hands of a madwoman.
The Newman Ranch House
Victoria leaves a voicemail for Nick, asking where he is; he hasn’t returned her calls. She tells Michael that Adam said Nick would be there soon, which was hours ago… Where could he be?
Michael is sure Victoria will hear from him soon.
Victoria says Nikki agreed to get some rest… The last thing she needs is to be worried about Nick.
Cole tells Victoria she should get some rest, too; surely she’s hungry.
Michael says Claire is in the kitchen putting together some snacks.
Victoria says she doesn’t need food or rest; she needs to hear from her father and Nicholas!
Cole is sure Nick and Victor are fine… Victor can take care of himself, and Nick can handle whatever is keeping him from answering his messages.
Victoria says Cole’s probably right, but she’s worried that Nick is caught up in “this whole Jordan mess.” She hates this waiting game… It’s like Jordan has them at her mercy, and they’re being held captive by her again!
Chancellor-Winters
Billy and Chance walk into Billy’s office.
Devon is sitting on the sofa with his laptop open in front of him. He greets Billy and Chance.
Billy says they’re back… Did Devon miss him?
Daniel’s Apartment
Lucy excitedly tells Daniel and Heather she was asked to join the decorating committee for her school’s prom. She says she can’t go to prom without a date; what if nobody asks her? She wonders if a boy she knows named Waylon has a date… He has great hair, and he’s really smart!
Daniel asks for more details on Waylon.
Heather grins and says Daniel must know him… Waylon’s the guy with really good hair!
Daniel asks if Lucy is dating the guy with “really good hair.”
Lucy says she’d have a date to prom if they were dating… And she doesn’t have a date for prom!
Daniel says he expects to meet this “child” before Lucy goes anywhere with him.
Lucy sighs and says Waylon hasn’t asked her yet.
A key turns in the lock, and the door opens. Everyone turns to look. Lily walks in carrying a bag of groceries.
Newman Ranch
Michael tells Victoria that Victor’s already two steps ahead of Jordan… It’s his superpower. Victor has calculated every move she could have made, and he has a contingency plan for all of them!
Victoria says nobody could know what Jordan’s “twisted” brain will come up with next… Maybe her dad missed something!
Michael says Victor is thorough, and he’s gotten through tougher situations than this!
Cole wishes that Victor would have told them what his plans were.
Victoria says her dad shouldn’t have done this alone; she should have been there for him!
Michael says Jordan was only expecting him and Victor. Jordan would have been scared off if any other family member had shown up.
Cole says he feels guilty that his family has put them through this… His mother was “violently deranged,” and Jordan is, too. Their obsession with tormenting her family is sickening!
Victoria takes Cole’s hands and says he has to stop blaming himself; there’s nothing he could have done to change what’s already happened.
Society
Sally says she’s sorry for everything Connor, Adam, and Chelsea are going through. She knows Jordan is a threat to their family and asks what happened between Jordan and Victor this time.
Adam says Jordan is a lunatic. She tried to poison the whole family, and then after she was caught, she burned down the prison facility and escaped so she could terrorize them again. Her latest act was to burn down Victoria’s house, and Victor made some kind of deal with her!
Sally is shocked. She asks how anyone could make a deal with a person like that.
Adam smirks and says, “Have you met my dad?” He tells Sally that Victor offered Jordan a large sum of money and a new identity to flee the country and never return.
Sally asks why Victor would do that… Why wouldn’t he turn her in to the police?
Adam says Victor needed to smoke Jordan out. Jordan only accepted his deal if she could take him hostage so she could make a clean getaway. He says Jordan is clearly insane, and his father might be in a very dangerous position.
Sally can’t believe how far Victor has taken things. She reassures Adam that Victor is too clever to be outwitted by anyone.
Adam says he knows that but is still scared for his dad. He’s afraid for his son, too!
Sally takes his hands and tells him she’s there for him and wants to help; he doesn’t have to go through this alone!
Chancellor-Winters
Devon tells Billy that it was peaceful in the office while Billy was gone… Nobody tried to change the company’s name or exert inappropriate power; it was great!
Billy says, “That’s funny. What about Mamie?”
Devon asks what Billy means.
Billy says Amanda told Jill about Mamie’s latest proposition; Mamie wanted to split the company in two and keep it merged in name only. He says that’s a great example of someone exerting inappropriate power.
Devon says that was only a suggestion on Mamie’s part.
Billy says it was a suggestion, just like he suggested they add Abbott to the company name. He says Devon always seems to be accusing Billy of trying to make a power grab, but he isn’t trying to make a power grab. He says Mamie would like nothing more than to split the company in two.
Devon says Billy is making it sound like Mamie’s trying to destroy the company.
Billy says Mamie hates Jill and wants her out of the company.
Devon can’t see how Mamie would get Jill out of the company. Chancellor belongs to Jill; it’s her company, and Jill hired Lily… Mamie won’t run Jill out of her own company.
Billy asks Devon what he thinks of Mamie’s proposition. Would he be happier if he fully controlled his side of the company, with the company merged in name only?
Daniel’s Apartment
Daniel gets up from the table and takes the grocery bags from Lily. He hugs her and asks why she didn’t let him know she was coming back today.
Lily says she was going to surprise him and make them some lunch. She figured he’d be at the office, and she could invite him back for lunch as a surprise, but it seems she’s the one who’s getting a surprise! She says hello to Lucy and Heather.
Newman Ranch
Michael asks how Victoria is holding up.
Victoria says she’s fine; she’s trying to stay strong for her mom and Claire. She says Jordan is relentless, and it’s starting to get to her.
Michael nods. He says it’s a lot of weight for Victoria to bear… She’s found her daughter, lost her home, and is worried about her parents and her brother. He says it’s fortunate that Cole came back into her life.
Victoria says she’s unsure she could have gotten through this without Cole.
Michael says once Jordan has been dealt with, Claire, Cole, and Victoria still have a long road ahead. He hopes Cole has planned to stay in Genoa City indefinitely; he thinks Cole is good for Victoria and Claire.
Victoria asks if Michael is trying to say something without actually saying it.
Michael laughs. No! Maybe! Yes! He says that anyone can see that she and Cole are getting closer, and it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if something positive for Victoria and Cole emerged from this trauma.
Society
Adam promises Sally he’s not shutting her out; he’s just not thinking clearly enough to know what kind of help he needs.
Sally gets it; no pressure! She says she’ll be there for him whenever he knows what he needs.
Adam says Sally’s right… Nobody ever gets the best of Victor Newman; he needs to stay optimistic about his father.
Sally says Victor will get through this, and so will Connor. She says Connor is lucky to have the love and support of such great parents… Just like Victor loves and supports his family.
Daniel’s Apartment
Lucy welcomes Lily home.
Heather says it’s a real surprise to see Lily.
Daniel asks how Mattie is doing… She must be better since Lily felt she could return without her.
Lily says Mattie’s doing better… It took her a while to get over the shock of the fire and her teacher dying, but Mattie is tough.
Daniel nods. “Just like her mother.”
Lily says she set Mattie up with a therapist to help her through things.
Daniel says he’s glad to hear it.
Heather says it’s wonderful news.
Lily says that Mattie felt able to return to class, so it was time for Lily to come home.
Heather suggests to Lucy that they go for a walk in the park.
Lucy says they could go look at prom dresses.
Heather agrees, and she and Lucy clear some dishes from the table and head into the kitchen.
Lily asks Daniel what’s going on.
Chancellor-Winters
Devon asks Billy if he would be happy if the merger were in name only.
Billy nods and says he would back it 100%… He thinks the merger was a mistake.
Devon asks why Billy didn’t tell him that while they were merging the companies. Billy thought it was a great idea at the time.
Billy says there was a lot more trust back then, and a lot has changed since then… Along with Billy’s perspective.
Devon says the only change is that Billy doesn’t work for Lily anymore; he works for his mom.
Billy says the power dynamics have shifted under his mother; it’s not surprising she feels outnumbered and isolated.
Devon is surprised. This is the first time he’s heard about this. He wonders if Jill brought Billy back to shift power to her side.
Billy says Jill brought him on to make sure her best interests are represented and her voice is heard at the company. He says Devon isn’t subtle about wanting to run the company the way he wants, and Billy doesn’t think Jill is, either. He says they should split the company up; the Winters will do what they do, and the Chancellor side of the company will do what they do.
Devon is surprised. He tells Chance he’s been very quiet… What does he think of all this? He’d like to hear his opinion… Does Chance think splitting up the company is a smart business decision?
Chance says this is above his pay grade, but he doesn’t think there’s any room for petty infighting or saber-rattling at a company of this size. He says you don’t have to be a corporate executive to know that ego is the biggest obstacle to success in any business.
Billy says that’s profound. He asks whether Chance is directing his words at Billy or Devon.
Chance says they shouldn’t have asked him if they didn’t want to know. He says they both need to take a deep breath and chill out. He leaves the office.
Newman Ranch
Michael tells Victoria that he likes Cole; he’s a good guy who’s solid and trustworthy, and he likes how strong and caring he is with Claire and Victoria. He says a lesser man would have been flattened by everything that happened.
Victoria agrees that Cole is one-of-a-kind; he always has been.
Michael wonders if karma or destiny brought Cole back to town.
Victoria says it wasn’t karma or destiny… Cole was brought back to town for their daughter, Claire, and by her crazy aunt Jordan. She asks if Michael is trying to play matchmaker… If he is, he’s wasting his time. The last thing she needs or wants in her life is a relationship.
Cole stands in the hallway, listening.

Society
Sally reads through some articles on her phone. She’s surprised by how much chaos Jordan has caused.
Adam says that normally, what his family is up against would be the only thing on his mind, but his kid is suffering, and he can’t help but think about not being there for his child when he needs him.
Sally wishes Adam could see himself like she does. He acts like he’s the family’s black sheep and is a “bad boy.” She tells him that she was a troublemaker, too.
Adam knows… She’s told him.
Sally says Adam needs to be aware of it because she can’t always be trusted; she can be conniving, too! She’s a creative thinker driven by emotions to “epic extremes.”
Adam says that’s exactly his type!
Daniel’s Apartment
Daniel tells Lily it’s great to meet her; she looks fantastic, and she’s been gone way too long!
Lily thanks him for the compliment and asks what’s going on. It was really awkward when she walked in, and Heather looked at her like she was caught.
Heather and Lucy walk out of the kitchen. Heather welcomes Lily home again, and Lucy hugs her. They leave the apartment.
Lily asks Daniel if she interrupted them when she returned… She felt like she walked in on a warm, fuzzy family moment.
Daniel says the three of them were having breakfast; Lily didn’t interrupt anything, but they need to talk.
Lily agrees… Clearly they do. She asks him to tell her what’s going on.
Daniel doesn’t say anything.
Lily figures Daniel and Heather got back together while she was gone.
Daniel says that’s what happened… But it wasn’t intentional.
Lily asks if they slept together.
Daniel nods. They did.
Lily asks if that’s all he’s going to say… Is he going to make her drag it out of him?
Daniel says the pull between him and Heather was too strong to resist.
Lily laughs. She can imagine! Especially since she was gone so long.
Daniel says he and Heather decided they wanted their family back together so they could regain what they had lost.
Lily says it’s because she was “out of sight, out of mind.”
Daniel says it wasn’t like that.
Lily gets upset and says he called and texted her, but he didn’t say anything about him and Heather. It was like nothing had changed!
Daniel says he’s sorry. He wanted to tell her as soon as it happened, but he didn’t want to add to what Lily was going through with Mattie. He wanted to talk to her face-to-face, and he felt like he owed her that.
Lily says that’s so considerate of him. She asks how long it’d been going on… Had they been seeing each other behind her back the whole time, or was it after she left? She asks if Heather is there every night and making breakfast for him and Lucy every morning.
Daniel says it was one time a few weeks ago, and they realized afterward that it wasn’t a mistake they’d both regret. He says it felt right… Like they’d found their way home.
Lily sits down and says she should appreciate his honesty, but it really hurts.
Daniel says the last thing he ever wanted to do was to hurt her.
Lily nods. She says that’s what people say after they hurt you the most.
Newman Ranch
Cole stands in the hallway, listening to Victoria and Michael talk about him. He takes a breath and walks into the living room with a tray full of snacks. He says that Claire made them some sandwiches and he convinced her to get some rest… She was up with Nikki most of the night.
Victoria says it’s comforting that her daughter and her mother were able to keep each other company. She thinks they must be exhausted from worrying about Victor.
Michael is most concerned for Nikki. The last thing she needs is more stress, and Victor won’t be happy if it’s too much for her.
Society
Adam says this is the part he hates most… The waiting and worrying!
Sally says it’s because his brilliant mind is coming up with too many scenarios. She reminds him that worrying never changes an outcome and suggests they talk about Adam instead since they’ve already talked about her. She says talking about himself always cheers Adam up.
Adam smirks and says he feels so understood.
Sally says they could talk about what an amazing father Adam is and how he’s working to be an even better son.
Adam smiles and says Sally’s too good for him. He doesn’t want this to be a one-way street; Sally needs TLC and support, too!
Sally says Adam opening up for her is more than enough.
Adam says that once things have stabilized with Victor, he hopes he can convince him to take over Sally’s design company under the Newman umbrella.
Sally says they don’t need to talk about that right now… They’ll figure it out when the time is right. She tells him to go back to the ranch and be with his family, and after that he should go and be with his son.
Adam nods. They hug, and Adam tells Sally he loves her.
Sally smiles. “I love you!”
They kiss, and Adam leaves the restaurant.
Crimson Lights
Chance walks into the cafe and sits with Nate. He says he’s stopping by to get some go-juice… He had to get out of the office!
Nate asks what’s happening at the office.
Chance says Billy and Devon are having a tense meeting.
Nate smirks and says it sounds like Devon is up to his usual trick of trying to make it seem like Billy isn’t getting to him.
Chance nods. He says Devon is trying, but he can see he’s fed up with Billy.
Nate says Billy is staying true to his nature by pushing harder, which only annoys Devon even more.
Chance says he feels he and Nate are alike; neither one wants any part of this conflict!
Chancellor-Winters
Devon asks Billy if Chance’s take on things was a result of Billy’s “crackerjack mentoring.”
Billy says Chance wasn’t entirely wrong… He made a good point.
Devon agrees. He says Chance had some good advice… Billy should chill out.
Billy says he thought Chance was right about the ego being destructive to a workplace.
Devon asks whose ego Billy thinks Chance was talking about… Devon’s or Billy’s?
Billy asks Devon why he doesn’t agree with Mamie’s proposition to split the company. He says if they divided the company, there would be no more infighting or saber-rattling. Lily may have started at Chancellor, but he’s sure she’d be happy to move to Winters with Devon at the helm. He says he and Devon wouldn’t be at each other’s throats anymore.
Devon says he wasn’t aware they were at each other’s throats.
Daniel’s Apartment
Lily tells Daniel she knew this would happen… What Heather wanted was so obvious! She says Heather used Lucy as an excuse to show up at Daniel’s place and kept finding herself in a “warm little embrace” with him.
Daniel says Heather never planned for things to turn out like they did.
Lily scoffs. Of course she did! She says Heather must have turned up the heat the moment Lily left Genoa City.
Daniel says that’s not what happened; Lily deserves no blame. He says it was a spontaneous, one-time event that took them both by surprise.
Lily says he keeps talking about being intimate with Heather… Like that’s the only way he can cheat! She says that he cheated by telling Heather he wanted to be with her, but he had to wait to break it to “poor little Lily.”
Daniel says he can’t say anything that won’t sound like he’s trying to make excuses.
Lily says Daniel probably wanted to be with Heather the whole time she was around… What does that say about what Daniel and Lily shared? Was any of it real?
Daniel says it was real to him. He’d given up hope that Heather would forgive him, and he never thought they’d get back together again.
Lily says he shouldn’t kid himself… He’s not the type of guy who would randomly betray her! There had to be something significant between him and Heather that pulled them together. She asks if he’s fallen back in love with Heather.
Daniel hesitates and says he doesn’t think he ever stopped loving her.
Newman Ranch
Adam walks into the living room. He asks Victoria if there’s been any word yet… Is their father still missing?
Michael answers and says there’s no word yet, but he’s sure they’ll hear something soon.
Victoria asks Adam if he knows where Nick is. She explains that Nick hasn’t been answering her calls or texts.
Adam assumed Nick would be there by now. He says Nick got a message on his phone but never gave Adam any specifics on it; he assumed it was about Christian.
Victoria says it sounds like a classic Jordan move… Make up a story about Christian being in trouble so she could set a trap for Nicholas! She worries that Jordan might have Nick and Victor both.
Daniel’s Apartment
Lily tells Daniel she knew he was in love and hadn’t gotten over his feelings for Heather; he was devastated when he found out Heather was seeing someone in Portugal.
Daniel says he ruined his and Heather’s relationship by being a jackass. When Heather left him, he knew he needed to get his act together, and he moved on without Heather in his life… But then she moved back to Genoa City.
Lily tells him to stop… She knows! She watched it all happen, but she still thought Daniel was someone she could have faith in. She sits down and laughs ironically, saying this isn’t how she pictured her homecoming.
Daniel says he’s truly sorry. He says she can yell at him or hit him… He wanted to do this face-to-face so she could tell him how she felt.
Lily says she won’t yell or attack him. Why would she? She’s so reasonable, isn’t she? She says she needs to leave.
Daniel asks if he should have told her immediately, even though she was dealing with “everything” in California. He says he struggled with that question.
Lily asks if he’s kidding. Does he want her to make him feel better about his timing? She says she’s so happy he told her afterward because Mattie needed all her attention.
Daniel says Devon thought that might be the case.
Lily does a double-take; Devon knew about Daniel and Heather?! How long did he know about them? From the beginning?
Chancellor-Winters
Billy tells Devon he’s not subtle about mistrusting Billy; Devon obviously resents that Billy is at Chancellor-Winters.
Devon says “resent” is a strong word.
Billy says they’re both powder kegs ready to blow, but they don’t need to let an explosion happen… They can fix things right now with a few signatures on an agreement.
Devon says Jill wouldn’t allow it.
Crimson Lights
Nate tells Chance he doesn’t want to take sides; he just wants to work peacefully and productively. He thinks Chance’s mentor (Billy) isn’t being as supportive as he used to be. He asks if Chance is off of Billy’s team.
Chance says since he started, he’s only been on one team… Chancellor-Winters’ team. He has the sense that Nate is on that same team.
Nate agrees.
Chance says they should both step up and “be the adults in the room.” He figures that the company could go off the rails if they leave it to Devon and Billy.
Newman Ranch
Michael tells Victoria she’s letting her imagination run away with her… There’s no evidence that Jordan has taken Nick.
Cole says Michael’s right; Nick probably got caught up in a problem with his son.
Adam thinks they should call Christian’s school to see if there’s a problem. If not, they can suspect something else is happening with Nick.
Victoria thinks that’s a good idea. She needs to know if she should be worried about her father and brother… She hopes they’re okay!
Victor and Nick walk into the room. Victor tells her they’re fine.
Victoria hugs her father, saying they were terrified.
Nick says it happened just like Victor thought it would, and he had all the bases covered.
Victor tells Victoria he’s sorry they had to do it this way, but there was no other way for the plan to succeed.
Adam asks if Nick was part of the plan all along.
Michael is just as confused. “How did that happen?”
Victor says they have reason to believe it’s all over now… The nightmare is finished.
A Grimy Warehouse
Jordan bangs on the locked door of the cell… The same cell she was going to keep Victor locked in.
She screams out, “Damn you, Victor Newman!”
