Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Ashley admitted she’s falling in love with Tucker, while Christine & Phyllis locked horns.
Crimson Lights
Billy comes in and kisses Chelsea on the head.
He says those are some great fashion designs she’s working on.
Chelsea says she’s nervous about her new job… It’s a big deal.
Billy says she’ll do amazing, and he brings her a gift.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Summer comes down the stairs and sees Audra in the restaurant. She thinks back to Kyle telling her that he slept with Audra.
She approaches Audra’s table and says she’s really something else… And that’s not a compliment.
Summer asks Audra whether she had her eyes set on Kyle even before they split up.
The Newman Ranch House
Victor thinks back to his disagreement with Adam, where he told him to walk out if he disagreed with him.
He texts Adam… “Last chance… In or out?”
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Sharon walks in and sits down with Adam.
She asks if he wanted to meet about Adustus merging.
Adam says he wants to wait until Nick gets there.
Nick walks in at that moment.
Sharon wonders if this will be the first meeting of a new power trio.
Crimson Lights
Billy tells Chelsea the stones on her bracelet he got her as a gift are for good luck.
Chelsea thanks him and says it’s the perfect gift.
Billy says he thought she’d be more excited than nervous to start at her job.
Chelsea says it’s been a long time since she was in the fashion world. She asks if she’s taking a step forward or a step back.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Nick sits beside Sharon and asks if Adam is backing out on their handshake.
Adam says that after hearing what Sharon had to say and hearing from Nick, he’s decided to stay on at Adustus and work with them both.
Sharon says that joining forces is good business… She’s happy.
Nick says that Victor acted like he didn’t care whether Adam gave in to his wants, but he’s probably anxious to hear from him.
Adam says he hasn’t talked to Victor about it yet.
The GCAC
Audra tells Summer that she’s acting tacky.
Summer snidely says “the other woman” is calling her tacky, and makes a quip about Kyle’s money.
Audra says it wasn’t Kyle’s money that attracted her… Why does it matter?
She says Kyle’s a grown man; he makes his own decisions. She says that Summer thought Kyle could be controlled and manipulated, but Summer’s all alone now.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Sharon says the more she looks into it, the more she’s convinced there’s a perfect fit between the companies.
Nick says it’s synergy… They’ll help each other. He says it’s more appealing to create something new than just continuing with the old ways.
Adam says Nick’s walking away from Newman with no problem at all. He says he’s all in; they all have unique skillsets they can bring to the table.
Sharon says the potential for what they can create is amazing.
Nick says he doesn’t even have anything sarcastic to say.
Adam says they need to lay out their plan with Victor so he doesn’t change the terms of their agreement.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea tells Billy she was finished working in fashion, but now she’s going to be the Creative Director, and it’s a little overwhelming… She will have to inspire designers under the lights of the biggest catwalk.
Billy says she has a million ideas ready to come out.
Chelsea says she does have a lot of ideas… She suggests they revamp the ready-to-wear collection and work on Fenmore fashions to make them more mom-friendly.
Billy says she’s going to crush it.
The GCAC
Summer tells Audra she blames Kyle, but she’s disgusted by Audra and the damage she’s caused. She says Harrison is suffering because of Kyle’s decisions.
Audra says she had nothing to do with Summer’s split with Kyle, and Summer should show some class. She says that Summer’s using her son to justify her anger about Kyle and Audra working together.
Summer says that Audra has total control over Kyle, even though she says Summer is manipulative.
Audra says Summer got burned because she thought Kyle would do whatever she wanted.
Kyle walks in and asks them what’s happening between them.
The Newman Ranch House
Nick, Sharon, and Adam walk into the living room.
Victor asks if they’re there to agree to his terms.
Nick says the merger makes sense to all of them.
Sharon says their strengths complement each other.
Victor asks if Adam is on board.
Adam says he’s on board but not as thrilled as Sharon and Nick. He says he thought he was getting autonomy, but now he’s under Victor’s thumb again.
Victor asks if they’re going to have a problem.
The GCAC
Summer tells Kyle that she and Audra were just “having a talk.”
Summer leans in and tells Audra that she should change her perfume, it’s cheap… Maybe Kyle could get her a discount from Jabot. She stalks out of the club, leaving Kyle and Audra to talk.
Kyle asks what that was all about.
Audra says Summer’s having problems getting over Kyle.
Kyle says it doesn’t matter now; Summer and Kyle have hurt each other too much for them to go back to the way they were.
Audra isn’t so sure.

Crimson Lights
Billy tells Chelsea that she’s a perfect fit for the Creative Director… She’s taking a huge step in the right direction. He asks if he’ll see her in the breakroom later.
Chelsea says she’s going to meet with Summer first and will head into the office after their meeting.
Billy kisses Chelsea and leaves.
The Newman Ranch House
Adam tells Victor he’s ready to go ahead… His new partners gave him some advice, and he took it.
Victor asks what the advice was.
Adam says that they don’t need to be controlled; they need to be able to run with it for a while.
Victor tells Sharon that her idea to merge the two companies was a great idea.
He says he hopes that working with Nick and Sharon will help Adam get rid of the chip on his shoulder for Victoria, and he’ll stop attacking Newman Media.
Adam thanks Victor for the “life advice.” He says he has only one thing to ask before he agrees… They need to have six months of absolute free reign.
The GCAC
Audra tells Kyle that says nobody knows what goes on in a marriage… It’s up to Kyle and Summer to figure things out.
Audra says if Kyle’s having second thoughts about being with Audra, he can let her know… She’s a big girl and can handle it.
Audra gets up and heads to the office.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea smiles and looks at her bracelet.
She reminisces about when Billy had propped her up in the past and told her that she deserved happiness.
She remembers inviting Billy over to her apartment alone for the first time, and how they’d kissed.
Summer enters the cafe and sits with Chelsea. She says she’d like to chat before her first day.
Chelsea says she had some butterflies over starting up, but Billy gave her a “good luck” bracelet.
Summer says it’s a new beginning that will lead to great success. She says she’s still getting her footing as CEO, but they’ll figure it out together. She mentions she used to have meetings with Kyle, but that’s not happening anymore.
Chelsea says that the situation with Kyle must be difficult, and if Summer ever needs to vent, she’s there to listen.
The GCAC
Billy walks up to Kyle and asks if he minds if he joins him.
Kyle says he’s welcome, he just got a text that his meeting was canceled.
Billy says Jack’s disappointed that Kyle’s moving to Newman.
Kyle says taking the job at Newman had nothing to do with Jack choosing Summer over him.
Billy says he gets it; he’s been in that situation.
Kyel says he didn’t take the job out of desperation.
Billy says he’s glad… He knows Audra can be a handful.
The Newman Ranch House
Victor asks what Sharon and Nick think about Adam’s proposal.
Both Nick and Sharon say that they agree… They need the time to get settled.
Victor says three months, not six, will give him enough time to see whether they intend to go after Victoria.
Nick says he’s not into attacking Newman Media.
Adam says he sees a different tack… He proposes they fold Newman Media into Adustus and Kirsten.
Victor says that’s not an option… He can’t wipe out Newman Media.
Adam says he doesn’t want to wipe it out… He wants to bring all the companies together under one happy roof.
The GCAC
Kyle tells Billy that he and Audra understand each other.
Billy says he probably made the right choice to leave Jabot when he did… Ashley & Jack are in a civil war.
Kyle asks why Jack doesn’t cut Ashley loose… He did it to Kyle.
Billy asks Kyle if he’s so hurt by Summer that he won’t give her another chance, and Kyle says they’re over.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea tells Summer that she’s a neutral party who won’t judge if Summer wants to talk to her.
Summer says that she worked really hard with Kyle to get where they are, and they were happy and in love… Then Diane came back to town after years of being dead, and she ruined everything.
Summer thinks she didn’t have a choice when it came to putting her mom first over Kyle.
Chelsea says she had a “colorful” mom as well.
Summer says she felt like she had Phyllis’s future in her hands, and she’s not sure what she’d do if she could go back in time and do it all again. She says it’s destroyed her marriage, and Kyle’s already moved on.
Summer mentions that Kyle got a job at Newman Media and that he’d slept with Audra.
Chelsea is shocked.
Summer says that Kyle won’t even try anymore; it makes her feel like their marriage vows were a lie.
Chelsea says she gets it… There are a lot of doubts that enter a person’s mind when a relationship ends. She says you can’t force someone to forgive you; all you can do is forgive yourself and focus on the stuff you can control.
Summer says she doesn’t know how to move on without answers.
The Newman Ranch House
Adam tells Victor that first, they fold Kirsten into Adustus and then they merge with Newman Media. He says they’ll have no competition.
Nick says the idea has merit.
Sharon says that Adustus will compete with Newman Media if they don’t merge.
Victor wonders what would happen to Audra at Newman Media.
Adam says Victor wants to keep things in the family… This is the way he can make that happen.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea tells Summer it’s hard to let go of a marriage, especially with a child involved.
Summer says it’s killing her to be away from Harrison every day. She wonders how Kyle can think it’s the right thing to do to abandon their marriage.
Chelsea says it’s harsh, but sometimes a person has to admit a relationship is over. She says Summer has to stop torturing herself with what-ifs and focus on what she can control… Live in the present, not the past.
The GCAC
Kyle tells Billy that he and Summer are over, and it’s liberating… Summer will realize it sooner or later.
Billy says that’s it, then… For Kyle’s benefit, he hopes that he can forgive her. They have a child, and he has to move forward.
Billy tells Kyle he hopes he gets what he’s looking for. Billy leaves the club, passing Audra on the way.
Audra walks up to Kyle’s table and asks why he’s there… She thought he was in a meeting.
Kyle says the meeting was canceled… Maybe they should have their own meeting in private?
Audra smiles, and they head upstairs together.
The Newman Ranch House
Victor says he appreciates an outsider’s input. He mentions Nate and Michael as examples.
Adam says Audra is only in place as CEO of Newman Media because Victoria forced Nick out and put Nate in his place, and that he doesn’t really trust Audra.
Nick says Audra hasn’t been around long enough to know her.
Next Week on The Young and the Restless
Jack tells Diane that Tucker is going to try to pull some dirty tricks on them… But Diane says she has a plan.
Abby and Devon invite Ashley and Tucker to have their wedding at the Chancellor estate.
