Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Jordan set a trap for the Newmans, Sally agreed to a “real” date with Adam, and Chloe badgered Nick to reunite with Sally.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack answers the door. It’s Tucker, who’s there to see Ashley. Jack lets him in.
Ashley and Diane listen as Tucker says he should let them know that he’s planning to focus his energies on his new business and have a fresh start.
Jack says he doesn’t buy it. How does this affect Tucker’s intentions regarding Jabot?
Tucker says that’s the million-dollar question. He asks where Billy and Kyle are… The other executives at Jabot.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle and Audra roll around naked in Audra’s bed.
Society
Billy meets Chelsea at the restaurant. He’s carrying a gift bag and puts it down on the chair as he kisses her in greeting.
Chelsea says it’s a little early for Christmas; what’s the occasion? She feels the bag’s weight, trying to figure out the contents.
Billy removes her hand and says there are stickers and bows in there. He moves the bag out of reach and asks what they should eat.
Crimson Lights
Summer enters the coffee shop and sees Chance. She says hello.
Chance jokes that she must have followed him from Society.
Summer says it’s a complete coincidence… The “siren call” of the coffee drew her over!
Chance cringes and says he thought it was him.
Summer laughs and asks how the other police are taking the news that he’s leaving.
Chance shrugs. Some people are happy for him; some aren’t. He feels like he’s let them down.
Summer says Chance almost gave his life for them… They’re being selfish!
Chance laughs.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane tells Tucker that Kyle and Billy aren’t at the house. What does he have to tell them?
Ashley asks if Tucker hoped for a bigger audience.
Tucker smirks and says Ashley and Diane seem to be working side-by-side.
Ashley says, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
Tucker asks if he and Ashley are enemies now.
Ashley says they’re “civil adversaries”… For Dominic’s sake.
Tucker says that’s why he’s there; he wants to declare Peace with the Abbotts. He’s waving the white flag and laying down his sword.
Jack doesn’t believe him.
Tucker shrugs and says he no longer has any interest in Jabot.
Jack asks why they should take his word for it.
Tucker says peace is a two-way street, and he’s willing if Jack is. He holds out his hand for Jack to shake.
Jack doesn’t take his hand. He says he’s sick of the war between them but doesn’t believe Tucker is serious about peace.
Tucker says he’s sick of it too. Plotting revenge has been draining, and he hopes building his new business will allow him to let go of his anger.
Jack says it’s going to take more than a handshake and platitudes.
Tucker tells Ashley he’s thought about it and agrees to buy her half of Glacade.
Ashley says Tucker doesn’t know her price; is he sure he can afford it?
Tucker waves off the question. He says that Ashley is back at Jabot like Jack wanted, and he gets a fresh start at something he didn’t know he wanted… Starting his own cosmetics empire. He asks Jack if he fears a “little friendly competition.”
Jack grins and says he’s not afraid in the slightest.
Tucker thinks that’s great. He says he’ll get his lawyer to draw up the agreements immediately.
Ashley says if he has the cash, he has a deal. They shake hands.
Tucker hopes this will be the last they have to deal with each other unless they bump into each other in town.
Jack says they can handle that. They’re mostly all adults.
Tucker says goodbye and leaves the house.
Jack thinks that was too easy. He wonders if Tucker suspects anything.
Ashley rolls her eyes. Of course Tucker suspects something!
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle and Audra are cuddling in bed. Kyle asks if Audra has something on her mind.
Audra says Kyle needs to stop dragging his heels about getting information from Jabot.
Kyle groans.
Audra tells him that sex makes her focus. She says Tucker has warned her that Kyle needs to “step up.” She says that Tucker needs something from Kyle to prove his loyalty.
Kyle says he has to tread carefully at Jabot. He doesn’t know what Tucker is looking for him to provide.
Audra says Tucker will know helpful information when he sees it. Kyle is the COO; there must be something confidential that Kyle could bring Tucker to show he’s on board.
Kyle says if he knew Tucker’s game plan, he could get his hands on something relevant.
Crimson Lights
Summer tells Chance she’s happy he’s stepping down from his job. He deserves to feel safe at work; she hopes he’s got a better celebration planned than just drinking beer with his buddies.
Chance says he’s taking Sharon to see one of his favorite bands later that evening. He’s pumped but thinks Sharon doesn’t want to go and is humoring him.
Summer asks what band they’re seeing.
Chance says it’s a band called Say Jump.
Summer is amazed that Chance was able to get tickets to their show; Say Jump is the best!
Chance didn’t know Summer was a fan; he asks to see her tattoo to prove it.
Summer grins and says her tattoo is private, but she has a concert tee shirt from their last tour to prove it.
Chance thinks the band may be too “noisy” for Sharon’s taste.
Summer laughs and says people with good taste love the band… No offense to Sharon!
Chance’s phone rings. It’s Sharon calling to cancel their night out. Chance tells her it’s okay and ends the call. He tells Summer that her lucky number came up… He’s got an extra free ticket to see their favorite band, and it’s hers!
The Abbott Mansion
Jack calls Tucker “a piece of work” and grumbles about Tucker while he pours himself a drink. He wonders why Tucker is using Glacade to rebuild his empire… He doesn’t know how to run a beauty company!
Diane figures Tucker will fail since he knows nothing about the business.
Ashley’s not so sure. Business is business; they can’t count Tucker out yet.
Jack says they need to destabilize Glacade before Tucker takes it over. They need to leak the information about the scandal immediately. He says he has the smear campaign ready to go; all he has to do is hit “send” on an email.
Diane says they need to be careful about the timing. If they release the information before Ashley signs the company over, Ashley will take a hit as well.
Ashley thanks Diane for looking out for her.
Diane says Tucker was right about one thing… Billy was supposed to have been there for their strategy meeting, and when it comes to Jabot, Billy seems to be dropping the ball.
Society
Chelsea can’t get her mind off the gift bag. She asks if it’s for Connor. She hopes Billy didn’t get him a VR headset; she’d already said he couldn’t have one.
Billy says he wouldn’t buy anything that expensive without checking with her first.
Chelsea asks Billy to tell her what it is so that she can make sure they didn’t get the same gift.
Billy finally gives in. He reaches into the bag and pulls a snorkel, a beret, and a box with a bikini in it from the bag.
Chelsea is confused.
Billy asks her if she’s ever celebrated the New Year in Saint Tropez.
Chelsea says she hasn’t.
Billy says he’d love for her to experience it this year.
Chelsea says it sounds fantastic; he doesn’t have to go all out like this!
Billy says he wants to properly thank her for setting him straight about the path he was on.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle starts getting dressed while he talks with Audra.
Audra tells him she doesn’t know what Tucker has planned to take over Jabot.
Kyle thinks Tucker might not have a plan at all… Maybe Tucker is just trying to keep the Abbotts off balance.
Audra figures Tucker might want them to think he has no plan. She wonders if Kyle is stalling until he can figure out what Tucker has planned.
The GCAC Dining Room
Tucker sends Audra a text message. “We should meet.”
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley tells Jack and Diane she’ll contact her attorney and figure out a price and contract details. She leaves the room.
Diane tells Jack that Billy may be the co-CEO, but he doesn’t seem invested in the company.
Jack says that’s not fair; Billy came up with the idea to team up with Jill so they could take Tucker down. He knows that Diane isn’t completely confident in Billy, and she’s made it clear that she’d like Kyle to be in the co-CEO position.
Diane says it used to be his job, and as Chief Talent Officer, it’s her responsibility…
Jack interrupts her and tells her that Kyle has accepted his new position even if she hasn’t, and it’s a sign of growth and maturity.
Diane thinks Kyle should be rewarded for his growth and maturity.
Jack says he’s not going to argue about it with her; it’s his call, and Kyle and Billy are both where they belong.
Society
Billy says Chelsea was right about him… He was approaching his battle with Tucker like it was a poker game.
Chelsea’s glad he recognized it.
Billy says he took what she said to heart. He doesn’t want to go down that path anymore. He says he needs to fight the gambling instinct that’s inside him.
Chelsea asks how he’s going to do that.
Billy says he’s going to remove the temptation.
Chelsea asks if Billy is considering leaving Jabot when his family is about to go to war.
Crimson Lights
Summer tells Chance she’d love to go to the concert with him, but she’s not sure it’s the best idea… Maybe Sharon will find herself free this evening.
Chance says Sharon’s busy with work and sounded like she was in a conference room. He thinks Sharon might be happier working than going to the concert anyhow.
Summer tries to convince him to invite one of his friends from the police department to make it up to them for leaving.
Chance says he thought she loved Say Jump… She’s coming up with some lame excuses for a self-proclaimed fan!
Summer stammers and says she doesn’t know her plans later; she’s supposed to be meeting with a designer.
Chance says he has VIP all-access tickets. He says he’ll be on the lookout for her call, and he won’t let her miss the show without a damn good excuse!
Summer blushes and agrees to call him later.
Chance passes Daniel on his way out and tells him to convince Summer to go to the concert with him. He leaves.
Daniel sits with Summer. He asks if she’s blushing.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle tells Audra that if Tucker’s just playing them, he has a safety net because he’d still have his job at Jabot, but Audra has everything riding on Tucker’s whim. Where does it leave her if Tucker fails her?
Audra says she has her own safety net in Newman Media. She’d only leave if this is a legitimate opportunity.
Kyle says he’s not dragging his heels.
Audra says she agrees that they need to know what Tucker is planning. That’ll let Kyle get the job he richly deserves. They kiss.
Kyle and Audra are half-dressed. Kyle says that if Tucker keeps being evasive as to his plans, it’s probably a sign he’s playing them. They should start looking out for each other.
Audra says if she didn’t know better, she’d think Kyle was trying to play her against Tucker.
Kyle says he doesn’t want to see her get burned.
Audra thinks he’s genuinely concerned for her.
Kyle says he is. They kiss. Kyle finishes getting dressed, and Audra goes into the washroom.
There’s a knock at the door. Kyle looks through the peephole and grins. He opens the door to Tucker.
Tucker looks at Kyle, who’s still half-dressed, and says, “Gee Kyle, what are you doing here?”
Crimson Lights
Daniel tells Summer he hasn’t seen her so giddy and starry-eyed since she was a teenager with Kyle.
Summer says Daniel should just back off. She’s a grown woman.
Daniel laughs and says Summer should go to the concert with Chance.
Summer says she’d love to, but she’s worried they’ll have an amazing time, and she’ll want to take it further. Chance isn’t “available!”
Daniel says he’s not suggesting she hop into bed with Chance, but she’s making a big deal out of it because she’s not acting on her crush, and unrequited love is the stuff of tragedies!
Summer says nobody’s talking about love.
Daniel says facing them head-on is the best way to deal with feelings like that.
Summer wonders if they’re talking about Daniel, too. Heather and Lucy are back in town!
Daniel gets up, laughing, and says he’s got to head back to work.
Summer grins and thanks him for his unsolicited advice. He leaves.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Tucker walks in and starts berating Kyle. He says that they won’t be working together if Kyle keeps this up, and he should be at Jabot so people don’t suspect him of anything.
Kyle tells Tucker he’s not his lackey and tells him to tone down his attitude; he’s the key to Tucker’s whole plan!
Tucker says Kyle’s turning out to be completely useless. Who’s side is Kyle really on?
Kyle says he can’t get information if he doesn’t know what Tucker wants. He tells Tucker to tell him the plan, or Tucker can count him out.
Audra walks into the room. She says she wants to know the game plan, too.
Tucker takes a seat and says Kyle needs to find a product that cost Jabot millions to develop that hasn’t been released yet, maybe a new eye cream or a perfume. He wants Kyle to get him the formula and manufacturing information for the product, and Glacade will launch the product first.
Kyle raises an eyebrow.
Tucker says that Jack will launch an investigation and find a guilty party to blame. Tucker mentions he’s not sure who to pin it on yet… Maybe Diane or Billy. The scandal will rock Jabot to the core.
Society
Billy tells Chelsea he needs to stay out of the way while Jack, Ashley, and Diane battle with Tucker.
Chelsea’s not sure he can do it. She thinks he’ll get sucked into the thrill of the battle if he’s still at Jabot.
Billy says he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. He doesn’t want to leave his family, but he doesn’t think it’s healthy if he stays.
Chelsea says it might give him the same feeling if he worked at Chancellor-Winters.
Billy says it wouldn’t be the same. He always feels like he has to impress Jack, and Kyle and Diane both want Kyle to have the co-CEO job. He feels like he’s walking on a tightrope at Jabot.
Chelsea asks if he would feel the same need to impress his mom.
Billy says Jill has complete faith in him, and she needs Billy beside her because she’s all alone.
Chelsea holds the snorkel mask to her face and says she heard St. Tropez is better in the summer.
Billy laughs and kisses her.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra tells Kyle she can’t believe he asked for Tucker’s plan… She was going to take care of it!
Kyle says he made a calculated decision to ask.
Audra says it appears Kyle made the right decision.
Kyle doesn’t believe that Tucker plans to pin it on Billy or Kyle; he thinks Tucker will ultimately pin it on him. He thinks Tucker might double-cross Audra the same way. He says he needs to turn Tucker’s plan against him. Is she with Kyle, or is she with Tucker?
The GCAC / The Abbott Mansion
Tucker calls Ashley and asks if she has a price for Glacade yet.
Ashley says she’s texted it to him.
Tucker looks at her message and says she’s not messing around. He agrees to the price.
Ashley tells him she’s got the paperwork drawn up, and her lawyer will send the contracts over. She says she wants it over and done as soon as possible. She hangs up.
Jack tells her he feels like they’re close to victory… Finally they’ll put an end to Tucker McCall!
Crimson Lights
Summer calls Chance and leaves a voicemail saying she wants to go to the concert with him.

I know I am the Lone Wolf who only feels this way but I don’t like Cricket. She is boring and always has been. Her and Paul were tolerable, mainly because I loved Paul and letting him go was one of their biggest mistakes, but for her to leave her marriage when we all know how much Paul loved her and turn around and start fighting for Danny again without even mourning her marriage or at least filing for divorce is ridiculous. I’m sorry, she just has the most boring personality. She’s the only actress on the show who can come and go as she wants and they just make up some boring story for her just because her dad and brother have always let you. This isn’t fair to the other actors like Paul. If she was talented maybe, but she not, and now she’s going to play off Phyllis’s talent. You might love her or hate her but at least Phyllis has talent. Taking Phyllis back to 30 yrs ago is insulting to all the people who have watched her grow over all these years.I know everybody’s going to hate this comment but I really don’t care, I have a right to my opinion just as everyone else on here does.
I hope Claire is Victoria and Cole daughter. I hope Chance don’t stepped out on Sharon with Summer
I soooo want Chance to pursue Summer, Sharon is focused on her new business venture and we all know it’s only a matter of time she and Nick will rekindle their on again and off again romance. There is so much chemistry between Summer and Chance.
