Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Billy told Jack he suspects Kyle’s motives, while Ashley met with Devon & Abby to discuss what to do about Tucker.
Crimson Lights
Chance walks into the coffee house, and Sharon tells him he’s looking great. He says Sharon has a pep in her step this morning.
Sharon says she’s happy because Kirsten Inc.’s launch is coming up.
Chance asks if she’s going to be keeping the name.
Sharon explains that S.N.A. doesn’t work anymore since there’s no Nick or Adam, and “S” by itself doesn’t work for a company name. She asks if Chance would help her brainstorm a new name.
Chance says he’d love to help her with a name, and he’s got some good news to share with her… He’s made a decision about his future!
The Abbott Mansion
Jack and Billy are talking business in the living room when Kyle comes home, thinking about his meeting with Tucker.
Jack welcomes Kyle to “Jabot World Headquarters.”
Billy asks Kyle if there’s any news on the electrical situation at the office.
Kyle reassures them that the power will be restored around lunchtime, and they’ll be back in the office before the end of the day.
Jack’s phone rings. He excuses himself to answer the call.
Billy says it’s Kyle’s first day, and he’s only showing up now… What could have been more important than a new job?
Society
Ashley, Devon, and Abby are sitting at a table, talking.
Devon tells Ashley that he doesn’t want to pretend to like Tucker. If they ever reconnect, it has to be authentic.
Ashley says she’s not asking him to pretend. She says Devon is a man of integrity, making him the perfect partner for her daughter, but fighting fire with fire could be how to handle Tucker.
Devon says Tucker will betray them.
Ashley thinks Tucker would back off if Devon reconnected with him. Would he consider forgiving him?
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra opens the door, and Tucker walks in, saying he just saw her “boyfriend.” Audra grins and asks which one.
Tucker says he saw Kyle, who asked a lot of questions.
Audra says Kyle wants to be sure of his assignment.
Tucker says Kyle has a plan of his own; he’s gathering information, just like Tucker suspected. He says Kyle can’t be trusted.
Audra thinks Tucker’s wrong. She can tell that Kyle is sincere.
Tucker shakes his head. Kyle wants to please his dad and push Billy out of his position by capturing the Abbotts’ “white whale.”
Audra asks what they’re going to do about it.
Tucker says they will use it against Kyle and feed him false information. He asks Audra if she’s falling for Kyle.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle tells Billy he was out because he was handling the electrical issue at the building.
Billy laughs and asks if he was on a ladder fixing it himself.
Kyle asks why Billy cares.
Billy says he finds it odd that Kyle would be late on his first day back at the family company.
Kyle says he had some errands to run this morning.
Billy asks what the errands were.
Kyle gets defensive and asks Billy if he’s still suspicious that Kyle is going after his job.
Billy says he thinks Kyle made a quick turnaround about accepting his dad’s offer of the COO position. He says he’s good at reading people right now, and his gut is telling him that something’s not right.
Kyle asks what that means… Is Billy going to be watching over his shoulder to ensure he does nothing wrong?
Billy tells him it’s time to rethink his priorities.
Society
Devon tells Ashley that he’s not ready to forgive Tucker, and he doesn’t want to fake it either.
Ashley knows that Devon is hurt.
Abby tells Devon that nobody wants Tucker to hurt the people they care about and says that if Devon convinces Tucker he forgives him, then maybe Tucker will forgive her mom.
Devon says he can’t be sincere about it. He can’t pretend what he doesn’t really feel.
Ashley says she’ll have to think of some other plan. She thanks them for meeting with her and gets up to leave, hugging and kissing Abby and Devon before heading out.
Abby tells Devon he’s a kind and loving man, but when it comes to Tucker, she thinks Ashley is right; they need to fight fire with fire!
Crimson Lights
Sharon and Chance sit down at a table. Sharon excitedly asks Chance to tell her what he’s decided.
Chance says he’s leaving law enforcement. It’s time to refocus and do something else!
Sharon says he’s a great police officer, but she understands his decision, especially since he’s been shot.
Chance says his mom wanted him to quit, and he doesn’t want to put her through it anymore. He’s realized that his job affects others, and it’s not fair to anyone. Getting shot was a wake-up call.
Sharon asks if he’s sure this is what he wants and if he’s told Nina yet.
Chance says it’s what he wants. His mom had to go back to L.A. and he hasn’t had a chance to tell her. He says she’ll be back in a few days, and he’ll tell her then.
Sharon asks when he’s resigning.
Chance says he’ll get it done today, but he’ll have to stay on until they find a replacement.
Sharon asks what his next move will be. Is he considering Jill’s offer to go into the high-stakes corporate world?
Chance says it’s been on his mind.
Society
Devon tells Abby that he had told Tucker he didn’t want him anywhere near him, and he doesn’t want him near Abby or Dominic either.
Abby says they should do whatever it takes to stop Tucker since he’s plotting something that has to do with Devon’s family’s company and the Abbott family’s company.
Devon asks what they’d do if Tucker doesn’t believe him. Tucker’s not going to believe he had a change of heart overnight.
Abby asks what would happen if Tucker made the first move and reached out to him. Couldn’t Devon listen to him then?
Devon says he could, but Tucker’s not going to come back and beg his forgiveness.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra tells Tucker she’s not “smitten” with Kyle. They have fun and work well together. There’s no substance or love story between them. She keeps her eyes on the prize.
Tucker says Kyle is a “haircut.” He’s a tool they can use and throw away.
Audra asks why they couldn’t use him to run the company.
Tucker says Audra’s capable enough on her own.
Audra thinks Tucker is trying too hard to get revenge on people who’ve “wronged” him.
Tucker says he’s seeing the world with extreme clarity. He’s as cool-headed as ever. Does he need to worry about her?
Audra says she’s like a cat. She hisses and says she’ll always land on her feet.
Tucker laughs and asks what Audra’s talking about.
Audra says she’ll land on the side of success, and if Tucker’s obsession gets in her way, she’ll jump ship in a heartbeat.
Tucker says that’s very cold-blooded of her.
Audra says he taught her that.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle tells Billy he may think he’s got him figured out, but he’s wrong.
Billy says he wants to be wrong.
Kyle says he can read people, too, and Billy’s insecurity is showing. He says Billy is always looking over his shoulder at other people and feels like an imposter. He doesn’t think Billy should have a position of power.
Summer walks into the room, and Kyle asks why she’s still there. She says he knows she’s working there today; where has Kyle been?
Kyle blows up and asks why everyone is asking where he was.
Summer thinks it’s not a good sign that he’s that stressed on his first day.
Kyle apologizes and says there’s been some family drama.
Billy takes a call and leaves the room.
Summer figures the drama is with Billy. She asks Kyle what’s going on.
Kyle says Billy thinks Kyle wants his job and is scheming to take it.
Summer asks if Billy’s wrong.
Kyle wonders whose side Summer is on.
Summer says that Kyle hates that Billy’s in the co-CEO position. She asks if he’s suddenly changed his stance.

Audra’s GCAC Suite
Tucker asks Audra where she’d go if she left Tucker’s side. Would she go to Kyle?
Audra says Tucker underestimates Kyle.
Tucker says Kyle is a daddy’s boy and can’t understand why she allows Kyle to fool her. He says it’s time Audra starts trusting Tucker again.
Audra asks why Tucker thought she’d trusted him.
Tucker says there’s a fine line between trust and total distrust. It’s like loving and hating someone simultaneously.
Audra says she’s never loved or hated Tucker.
Tucker says he… He doesn’t complete the sentence. He says things between them are complicated.
Audra agrees. They are. She leans over and kisses him, and he responds.
Society
Devon tells Abby that Tucker may try to mend things between them, but he’s not interested.
Abby asks if reconciliation is off the table.
Devon says he doesn’t want to fake it so her mom can discover what Tucker has planned for Jabot.
Abby reminds Devon that Tucker has something planned for Chancellor-Winters, too.
Devon says that he’ll be able to handle whatever comes at CW with Jill and Lily.
Abby says Jill and Lily may be great partners, but Tucker doesn’t play fair. Whatever Tucker has planned for the company will affect Devon, which means it’ll affect Dominic.
Devon nods. He asks what she wants.
Abby says she’s going to fight for her family. She’ll do what needs to be done if he won’t. She gets up and leaves the table.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Tucker walks down the stairs into the lobby as Ashley enters the front door. He says they’ll have to get used to meeting. Luckily, he’s good at being polite.
Ashley asks why he’s being so hostile; they just saw each other yesterday. They discussed that he would take over Glacade, and Tucker seemed okay with that suggestion.
Tucker says the press says he’s “mercurial” and bound to change his mind at any time, so…
Ashley says he obviously believes his own press.
Tucker says he doesn’t know what to believe anymore.
Ashley says he’s acting like an ass. What changed?
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle tells Summer his change of heart wasn’t abrupt; he’d been thinking about it for a while. He’d been having difficulty accepting Billy as co-CEO, but he’s over it.
Summer doesn’t buy it. She asks if he’s happy working at Jabot in any capacity.
Kyle nods and says he’s not working an angle. He gave up his co-CEO position and has accepted that he can’t have it back.
Summer asks if Kyle regrets stepping down from the co-CEO position to run Marchetti with her.
Kyle says he’s sorry, but he does regret it. If he hadn’t left, he wouldn’t have to be restarting his career now.
Summer says he didn’t know how things would turn out. She asks if his regret goes back further than that. She says hers does.
Kyle asks what she means.
Summer wonders if they’d still be together if they hadn’t returned from Milan and brought Marchetti under the Jabot umbrella. She says they were happy in Italy. Was coming back to Genoa City the beginning of the end for them?
Kyle says he tries not to think about what could have been.
Jack walks back into the living room and says hello. He didn’t know Summer was there.
Summer says she’s been working from the upstairs study.
Jack asks Kyle to grab his laptop to go over a few things. He leaves the room.
Kyle gets the laptop and tells Summer that everything would have been different if they hadn’t come back from Milan, but they did come back, and they can’t change that. He leaves the room to meet with Jack.
There’s a knock at the door. Summer answers it; it’s Chelsea.
Chelsea asks if Summer’s ready to meet with her.
Summer says she has a lot on her mind and asks Chelsea if she wouldn’t mind meeting elsewhere.
Society
Abby stands behind the bar, tallying something on her tablet.
Devon tells her that Tucker’s not a person to mess with.
Abby says she’s not someone to mess with, either.
Devon says he knows she could go head-to-head with Tucker.
Abby says she’s not going to wait for Tucker’s next move. She asks Devon to give her a seat on the board at Chancellor-Winters.
Devon isn’t sure he can do that.
Abby says of course he can. They need to show Tucker that she’s in the fight, too.
The GCAC Dining Room
Tucker and Ashley sit at the bar. Tucker says the most challenging part of their time in Paris was realizing he loved someone he couldn’t trust anymore. Love takes a long time to fade.
Ashley says she feels Tucker is blaming her for what happened and isn’t taking any responsibility.
Tucker says they’ve both apologized, but nothing has changed.
Ashley says she saw Devon and talked to him about his relationship with Tucker, which wasn’t good.
Tucker asks if it’s bad enough that Ashley won’t be able to make peace between them.
Crimson Lights
Chance tells Sharon it’s hard to believe he’s planning to work for the family company. He wasn’t interested in it at all when he was growing up.
Sharon says it’s his calling.
Chance laughs. Maybe it was Katherine whispering in his ear. He just needs to find a way to get out of the police department and cause as little of a disturbance as he can while he does so.
Sharon says they should celebrate his decision to pursue a new life.
Chance says he’d rather celebrate Sharon; she’s on the verge of a new life herself!
Summer and Chelsea walk in as Chance and Sharon kiss.
Chelsea says hello.
Chance says he doesn’t want to be rude, but he has to get back to the station and his job that he’s leaving.
Summer says she’s happy he’s made a decision. She knows it’s been weighing on him.
Chance nods. He says he thinks it was the right choice. He thanks Summer for being a good friend and helping him through it. He says goodbye and leaves.
Summer and Chelsea sit at a table on the patio. Summer flips through Chelsea’s fashion designs and says they’re great; she’s made some real improvements!
Chelsea says Chloe was a big part of things and deserves a lot of the credit.
Summer says Chloe was a real asset to the company. She says she’s a demanding boss, so she can understand why Chloe couldn’t feel they could work together.
Chelsea says Summer is demanding in a good way; she wants the best! She says Chloe is incredibly talented but doesn’t like being told what to do. She’s going to miss working with her.
Summer says she’s going to miss her too.
Chelsea asks how things are with Summer lately.
Summer says things are pretty good professionally, but her personal life is a bit of a mess.
Chelsea asks if this is about Kyle.
Summer nods and says the divorce is in progress.
Chelsea apologizes and says she thought Summer was okay with the divorce and moving forward.
Summer says it’s still hard for her.
Chelsea says she had wonderful memories with Kyle and should focus on that. Harrison came out of it and is one of the best things. Summer needs to focus on the good things, not the bad!
Summer smiles. She likes Chelsea’s advice. She asks if Chelsea’s been through divorce before.
Chelsea says she has, and it’s important to focus on the future. She says she saw “an expression” on Summer’s face when she was talking to Chance. Is she interested in pursuing him?
Summer scoffs. No.
Chelsea doesn’t look convinced.
Summer admits it. She likes Chance. He’s been a good friend to her, but it doesn’t matter because Chance is seeing Sharon, and Summer doesn’t want to interfere.
Chelsea asks if Chance and Sharon are serious.
Summer wonders why everyone keeps asking her that. She doesn’t know how serious they are! They’re in a relationship, and Summer doesn’t want to be “the other woman.”
Chelsea asks what her thoughts are if everything could work out.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack tells Kyle he’s happy and proud to have him back at Jabot. He says Kyle’s marketing expertise will come in handy at the company.
Kyle says marketing doesn’t have anything to do with operations.
Jack says they want his input anyhow. He’s always wanted to work side-by-side with his son, just like he worked with his father.
Kyle says it’s not his first time in the executive suite.
Jack says it feels different; Kyle’s here to stay this time.
Kyle says he’s not working beside his father now. He’s down a rung or two on the ladder.
Jack says he knows it’s a sore spot with Kyle.
Kyle says he’s accepted he doesn’t need to be co-CEO at the family company.
Jack says the COO position is important, and he has faith that Kyle will give Jabot his very best.
Kyle’s phone rings, and he answers.
It’s Audra. She tells Kyle she needs to see him right away in her suite, and it can’t wait. He needs to be there right away.
Kyle says he’ll be there soon.
The GCAC Dining Room
Ashley tells Tucker she’s not going to give up on mending his relationship with Devon, but Tucker will have to work harder because it won’t be easy.
Tucker says he doesn’t know why she cares.
Ashley says it’s because of their grandson, Dominic. Besides, Tucker was a much nicer person when Devon was in his life.
Tucker smiles and says the problems between him and Devon are more about business than anything personal. Devon is concerned about Tucker’s role in Mamie’s investment.
Ashley says business and personal relationships are usually intertwined. She’ll help him get his relationship with Devon back on track; she knows how much it means to him to spend time with Dominic.
Tucker says he appreciates her intentions.
Ashley smiles and says they’re being civil to each other, and it’s not terrible.
Tucker nods. He says goodbye and leaves the club.
Next Week on The Young and the Restless
Jill asks Billy if he’d leave Jabot and work with her at Chancellor-Winters.
Victoria asks Cole if it’s possible Claire is their child.
Nikki pours herself a shot of vodka.

Ashley should leave well enough alone…Devon doesn’t trust Tucker.Ashley is just using that for herself.Tucker should fall on his face trying to steal someone’s company….I hope they get found..him n Audra. Kyle should becareful n he should know he’s being used.
Chance and Summer deserve a chance at happiness Sharon’s the same age as his mother Nina.
