On the last episode of Y&R, Ashley told Tucker she believed his version of the breakup, Sally blasted Adam for not consulting her on his plan, and Seth visited Nikki.

Daniel’s Apartment

Phyllis walks out of the elevator and knocks on Daniel’s door.

Phyllis Summers and Danny Romalotti.
CBS

Danny answers and immediately shakes his head. Nope! He says Daniel’s not there and has nothing to say to Phyllis.

Phyllis gives Danny a “peace offering” of Brunello, a nice wine.

Danny accepts the wine and asks her to leave him alone.

Phyllis and Danny.
CBS

Phyllis won’t take the hint and barges into the apartment, saying she just wants to have a little chat. She says she wants to let him know that she’s not the one who’s in competition.

Danny sighs in exasperation.

Phyllis says the “old” Phyllis would have enjoyed ticking off the most sanctimonious person in the world, but not the “new” Phyllis! She says she’s had a brutal year full of pain, and Danny has helped her a lot, encouraging her every step of the way. She realizes she’s put his life in turmoil, and she’s ashamed of it, but she’s taken responsibility, and she’s changing every day. She thinks Danny feels the same way.

Danny Romalotti.
CBS

Crimson Lights

Nate and Chance meet up in the cafe and remark that they’re so busy at work that they only see each other when they pass in the hall.

Chance Chancellor and Nate Hastings.
CBS

Chance says he’s loving every minute of working there and is glad for Billy’s help; he’s really helped show him the ropes.

Nate asks if Chance is comfortable with Billy’s mentorship… Is he collaborative enough?

Nate Hastings talks to Chance.
CBS

Chance asks if Nate is asking about him or whether he’s trying to check up on Billy.

Nate asks why he’d ask that.

Chance says the office can be a small world, and he’s heard that Devon and Nate have a problem with Billy, and he’d like to know why.

Chance Chancellor.
CBS

Chancellor-Winters

Devon walks into Billy’s office and tells Billy that he talked with Lily about adding Abbott to the company name and they have an answer for him.

Billy thinks he’s not going to like what he’s about to hear.

Billy Abbott squints.
CBS

Devon says they respect Jill’s legacy, but he and Lily feel like they already have a strong brand name in place.

Billy says that’s true, but it could be modified.

Devon says that the name change might confuse people… For as long as he can remember, the Abbott name was associated with Jabot, and people might start to think the two companies are linked.

Devon Hamilton Winters.
CBS

Billy says he doesn’t see that happening… The two companies are in completely separate niches.

Devon shrugs and says that he and Lily feel that making a name change will shake things up too much.

Billy says changing the name would give it a broader reach and more name recognition.

Amanda Sinclair, Devon, and Billy.
CBS

Devon nods. He says he hears Billy’s points, but they’ll be keeping the name as-is.

Amanda walks into the office as Devon is speaking. She tells Devon that Jill will be very sorry to hear that.

Devon is surprised to see Amanda, and Billy says he didn’t know she was coming to town.

Amanda Sinclair talks while Devon looks on.
CBS

Amanda says Jill is busy and she asked her to step in as Chief Legal Counsel for the company. She says Jill is sorry she couldn’t be there when the name change was presented, but she assumes that the answer from Devon and Lily would have been the same.

Devon confirms the answer would have been the same. He says Jill didn’t need to send Amanda to deal with things, she could have phoned them.

Amanda says this is an important thing for Jill, and she wonders why that wouldn’t be enough for Devon and Lily to say yes.

Devon talks with Amanda.
CBS

Devon says that’s not the way a partnership works.

Amanda says that Devon should explain how a partnership works.

Devon says that Jill never brought up the name change when she was running Chancellor Industries by herself. When they merged and it became Chancellor-Winters, the name change was never brought up, either. He says he thought the name change was proposed because Billy wanted to make his position more permanent.

Billy Abbott.
CBS

Billy tells Amanda that his position in the company seems to be a sticking point for Devon.

Amanda says Billy is there at Jill’s request, just as she is. Jill has made it clear that she wants Billy to be part of the company long-term. She asks Devon if he, Lily, and Nate envision themselves having a long-term future as a family in Chancellor-Winters as well.

Devon says they do.

Amanda Sinclair.
CBS

Amanda says that Devon and Lily have family links to both the Chancellor and Winters names, but the Abbotts do not. She asks why it bothers him so much to publicly recognize the Abbott’s contributions to the company. She thought Devon would want the Abbott name included, given the fact that they’re practically his in-laws now.

Devon says he has no issue with representing the Abbott name. He’s questioning the motives and the timing. Is this really about Jill, or is it about Billy?

Billy says he thinks it’s more about Devon… He’s the only one blocking the addition of the Abbott name for no good reason.

Devon Hamilton Winters.
CBS

Crimson Lights

Nate and Chance take a seat at a table. Nate tells Chance that they’re cautious about Billy given his history. He’s sure Chance is aware of Billy’s more “infamous” mistakes.

Nate Hastings.
CBS

Chance says he is aware of them, but Billy’s owned up to his mistakes, and Chance admires that.

Nate says he’s not sure that Billy has learned from his mistakes.

Chance says he’s heard that Nate learned a big lesson about family and loyalty recently.

Chance talks with Nate.
CBS

Nate says he has, and he’s grown from it. He thinks Billy has as well, to some extent. He says his biggest problem is that Jill forced Billy down their throats.

Chance says that applies to him, too.

Nate shakes his head and says the circumstances are different. Chance is new to the business world and is working his way up as he should be, but Billy walked away once already and then was brought back. Now Billy seems to have something to prove, and Nate doesn’t think that’s in the best interest of the company.

Nate Hastings.
CBS

Daniel’s Apartment

Danny tells Phyllis he’s sure she meant what she said about growth and change, but she’s been implying that there’s something between them when she knows there isn’t. They’re nothing more than co-parents and “almost” friends. He keeps saying it, but she keeps ignoring it. He says Phyllis and Christine have disregarded everything he says and he doesn’t want this complication in his life anymore.

Danny looks upset.
CBS

Phyllis says she’s not the one complicating things. Danny’s holding onto feelings and memories that he used to have for Christine, and she knows it… Christine is using that to keep her claws in Danny because she sees what’s going on between him and Phyllis. Christine sees the bond they have and it threatens her. Phyllis says she just sees the man in front of her and the future the two of them could have together.

The doorbell rings, and Phyllis moves closer to Danny. She tells him not to get the door.

Danny doesn’t listen. He brushes her aside and gets the door. It’s Christine.

Danny Romalotti and Phyllis Summers look out the door at Christine.
CBS

Christine walks in and tells Phyllis, “You certainly didn’t waste any time.” She hands Danny a gift bag and tells him it’s the masala chai he likes.

Phyllis says that’s funny… She bought Danny a gift, too. Hers is big, bold, and red, and Christine’s is a cup of tea to help Danny nod off. The gift says a lot about the giver, doesn’t it?

Danny picks up his music sheets and says he has a lot of work to do.

Christine Blair gives Danny a gift bag while Phyllis looks on.
CBS

Phyllis tells Christine that Danny has a lot of work… Why doesn’t she run along?

Danny says he thinks they should both leave. Now.

Christine tells Danny she said some things that she regretted the other day and wanted to talk to him.

Christine Blair and Danny Romalotti.
CBS

Phyllis asks if it was the childish things she said when she resorted to name-calling.

Christine says she wanted to have a moment with Danny alone, but of course Phyllis is there, because wherever Danny is, Phyllis isn’t far behind. She asks Phyllis to show herself out.

Phyllis says she wouldn’t dream of it… She and Danny were in the middle of a very important, intense conversation.

Phyllis glares at Christine.
CBS

Danny says they weren’t… In fact, Phyllis was just about to leave.

Phyllis says she wasn’t about to leave… They were just getting to the “good part.”

Christine asks why Phyllis has to make everything into a big scene.

Christine talks to Phyllis.
CBS

Phyllis asks why Christine won’t accept that there’s something going on between her and Danny.

Christine says Phyllis is stalking Danny, and there’s a big difference between stalking and an actual relationship.

Danny says he asked them both to give him time and space, yet here they both are, back in his place. He asks why they can’t respect his boundaries.

Danny Romalotti yells at Phyllis and Christine.
CBS

Phyllis says she’s never believed in boundaries, and they can both agree that there’s nothing wrong with going after love.

Christine spins around and tells Phyllis that she doesn’t love Danny… The only thing Phyllis loves is making Christine’s life hell.

Crimson Lights

Chance tells Nate he had his doubts about Billy at first, but he was wrong… Billy’s been great to him on every level; he’s a great mentor and Chance is very grateful for him. He says Nate may think Billy is a disruptor, but he’s done nothing but cheerlead the company to Chance. He’s seen Billy’s excitement for Chancellor-Winters to succeed, and it’s contagious! He would think Nate would want someone like Billy at the top.

Chance Chancellor.
CBS

Nate says he would, but it’s no secret that Mamie and Jill don’t trust each other, and that has a way of trickling down to him. He doesn’t want things to turn into an “us vs. them” situation. They don’t need petty office politics distracting them from business.

Chance says respectfully, that the only two who seem to be pushing “us vs them” are Nate and Devon. He says Billy has never said a negative word about Devon or Nate… Perhaps Nate could offer Billy the same courtesy and quit focusing on his past and instead, focus on his future; Billy could surprise him!

Nate says that’s what they’re worried about.

Nate Hastings.
CBS

Chancellor-Winters

Devon tells Amanda they have a lot more pressing things to deal with… Can they shelve this discussion for now?

Billy says that’s it, then… Another unilateral decision from Devon once again.

Devon spreads his arms as he talks to Amanda and Billy.
CBS

Devon says they can wait until Lily is back and Billy can hear it from her lips.

Amanda says Jill would like this resolved sooner rather than later, and Amanda wants to help it happen while she’s in town.

Billy asks how long Amanda will be staying.

Amanda, Devon, and Billy.
CBS

Amanda says she’ll stay as long as she needs to.

Devon says Lily is going to take as much time as she needs with her daughter and won’t be rushed. If Amanda has to go back east before Lily comes home, they’ll understand. He asks if they’re finished.

Amanda tells Devon not to let them keep him.

Billy and Amanda hug.
CBS

Devon leaves Billy’s office.

Billy hugs Amanda in greeting and says that her conversation with them was “intense.”

Amanda says she was just being her normal self.

Amanda smiles at Billy.
CBS

Billy asks if Jill brought Amanda in about the name change.

Amanda nods. She says it was about the name and Jill wanted her to watch “other dynamics” at play. She grins and says Jill can really read a room, even at a distance.

Billy says that Devon doesn’t trust him. Devon doesn’t involve him in key decisions and makes them by himself and tells him about it later.

Billy Abbott.
CBS

Amanda says that’s unacceptable.

Billy doesn’t blame Devon, given Billy’s history.

Amanda says everyone has a history. She says Devon knows she has no hard feelings against him… She’d told him that at the gala. She says in order for things to move forward in the direction that Jill wants, Devon will need to trust Billy, and Billy will need to trust Devon, too.

Amanda Sinclair smiles.
CBS

Billy agrees. He has to figure out a way to change Devon’s perspective.

Amanda says Devon probably thinks she’s the “bad cop” now, so Billy can swoop in and be the good guy.

Billy laughs and says Amanda is a wily one.

Billy Abbott smiles.
CBS

Amanda grins and says it’s nice to be appreciated. She gathers her belongings and says it’s time for her to get to her next agenda item.

Billy asks what’s next for her.

Amanda says it’s almost as exciting as this was. She leaves without explaining more.

Amanda Sinclair.
CBS

A bit later, Devon walks into Billy’s office. He thinks it was “a whole lot” for Jill to send Amanda to the office without warning him.

Billy says his mom couldn’t make it, but it was clearly an issue that she didn’t want to see fall aside.

Devon Hamilton Winters.
CBS

Devon thinks it was a lot of fuss for a name change.

Billy says it’s a bigger issue than that; ever since Billy joined the company, it’s been made clear that Devon doesn’t trust him… What does he think Billy is going to do? Screw things up and hurt the company? Does he think Billy is going to orchestrate a coup to take over the company? He assures Devon that none of that will happen; he’s there to work with Devon and raise the company to new heights!

Devon says Billy wouldn’t be at the company at all if he didn’t trust him. He’s known Billy for a long time, though, and he’s a smooth talker. He says he gives Billy the benefit of the doubt despite his history, but it raised red flags when Billy was the one to bring up the name change.

Billy Abbott.
CBS

Billy thinks Devon is exaggerating a bit.

Devon says questioning the motives behind the name change isn’t exaggerating anything. He reminds Billy he was with them when they started the company and he was together with Lily as well, but he walked away from the company and from Lily. Billy started a podcast and then went back to Jabot, and now he’s back again and wants to put his name on the company.

Billy says it’s his mother’s name and she owns half of the company.

Devon gestures as he talks to Billy.

Devon says the name wasn’t an issue until Billy got there… And who knows how long he’s going to stick around! He could try to remake the company in his own image to prove something to someone or himself. He says it’s hard to trust someone who’s usually only in it for himself.

Billy nods. Okay. He says he needs to change the way Devon sees him. He says he spent a lot of his life trying to protect his father’s legacy, but the truth is that he’s more Jill Abbott than he is John Abbott. He wants to be at the company now and in the future, and he promises he’ll prove himself to Devon, but he can’t do that alone. He needs Devon to give him a chance so they can figure out how to work together openly and honestly.

Billy sits and listens to Devon.
CBS

Society

Abby and Mariah are sitting at a table, waiting. Abby complains that the bottle will be warm before Tessa is off her call. It’s supposed to be a party!

Mariah says her wife is the manager of the hottest restaurant in town, and she’s stuck on the phone with the produce guy.

Mariah Copeland and Abby Newman.
CBS

Amanda walks into the restaurant and sees Abby and Mariah. She walks over and says it looks festive… What are they celebrating?

Abby explains she hired Tessa as the new manager.

Mariah says they were hoping to toast to her new beginning, but Tessa is stuck on a phone call.

Amanda Sinclair.
CBS

Amanda asks Abby if she’s giving up her position at Society to focus on Chancellor-Winters.

Abby nods. Exactly.

Amanda asks Mariah if she could talk with Abby privately for a few minutes.

Mariah Copeland.
CBS

Mariah says she’ll go check on Tessa in the kitchen. She leaves.

Abby asks what she can help Amanda with.

Amanda says she’s in town filling in for Jill, and she noticed that Devon doesn’t seem happy that Billy came to work there. She was hoping Abby could tell her how serious Devon’s objections are.

Abby Newman and Amanda Sinclair.

Daniel’s Apartment

Christine tells Phyllis she keeps telling the world she’s changed and has begged Danny to see the new woman she’s become, but she’s the same mean girl she’s always been.

Phyllis says at least she’s not boring… Maybe that’s why Paul dumped Christine, who immediately “glommed on” to Danny because she couldn’t handle being alone.

Danny gets pissed off and tells them to argue in the hallway. They don’t listen.

Danny yells at Phyllis and Christine.
CBS

Christine tells Phyllis that her connection with Danny is real and based on a love they’ve shared for decades. Phyllis has lied to Danny, cheated and manipulated him, and she wants Danny to fall into her arms?

They keep arguing, and Danny gathers his sheet music and supplies. He puts them in a bag and leaves the apartment without Christine or Phyllis even noticing.

Christine says Phyllis hasn’t taken responsibility for any of the horrible things she’d done. She faked her own murder and should be in prison, but she talked her way out of facing the consequences of her actions!

Danny Romalotti leaves the apartment.
CBS

Phyllis says there it is… Christine couldn’t win and put her behind bars, so now she’s using Danny to get back at Phyllis!

Christine says Phyllis is the one who uses people. She reminds Phyllis she drugged people, switched their DNA tests, ran people over, and put an octopus into somone’s bed!

Phyllis asks if Christine is holding a grudge over those things.

Christine talks with Phyllis.
CBS

Christine says Phyllis says she’s changed, but she’s incapable of change, and Danny knows it! Right, Danny? She looks around, and they both realize that Danny is gone. She laughs and says Phyllis did it this time.

Phyllis says she didn’t do anything. That was all Christine!

Christine says this has to stop.

Phyllis laughs as she talks to Christine.
CBS

Phyllis says Christine should just walk away. Just leave!

Christine says Phyllis doesn’t seem to understand that Danny isn’t interested in her and never will be. She’s not what he wants!

Phyllis fakes sympathy and says Christine and Danny have something so precious and so loving.

Christine and Phyllis.
CBS

Christine says she and Danny will always find their way back together without lies or drugs… The strength of their connection brings them together.

Phyllis says Danny said that he thought Phyllis was important.

Christine says Danny said that as a friend out of pity.

Phyllis looks at Christine in disbelief.
CBS

Phyllis says Christine is holding onto old, moldy memories… Doesn’t she see who Danny is now? Danny sees the woman that Phyllis is, and they’re new, exciting, and fun. They don’t have an old love they’re holding onto that should have died years ago.

Christine says Phyllis keeps saying she’s changed, but she’s as conniving as ever. She’s using her son to get to Danny… That’s the kind of mother she is! She mocks applause.

Phyllis says Daniel would be happy that his parents were back together.

Christine yells at Phyllis.
CBS

Christine says Phyllis talks about love and wanting to be in love, but Phyllis has killed the love in every relationship she’s ever had, and it worries her that she’s going to spend the rest of her life alone. She says she can see that Phyllis is scared to death of that, and Danny loving her wouldn’t fix it. Phyllis is broken, and nobody wants her, especially not Danny!

Phyllis gets up in Christine’s face menacingly and says, “You. Are. A. Bitch.”

Christine tells her to do it… Just give her a reason to press charges!

Phyllis talks closely to Christine.
CBS

Crimson Lights

Nate tells Chance they have something in common; they both started as outsiders. Chance came from law enforcement, and Nate came from the medical field. He says they both use their skills from their previous careers to make a difference in the corporate world.

Nate Hastings and Chance Chancellor talk over coffee.
CBS

Chance says they don’t know all the rules, so they break them in a good way.

Nate grins. Something like that. He says he’d like to offer Chance his support. He’s sure Chance has some good ideas, and as head of content and development, Nate might be able to help him.

Chance says he has some ideas he’d like to run by Nate before he passes them onto Devon or Billy. He thinks they should create a music festival. He says the numbers are promising, and it would bring additional name recognition to the company.

Chance Chancellor.
CBS

Nate thinks it’s interesting, but it’s risky and would be a big outlay of cash for the company.

Chance figures that’s a “no.”

Nate shakes his head. He says Chance should run with the idea and see where it goes. He had brought up the same idea before, but Devon felt the timing wasn’t right. Now that it’s a new day and the two of them are working together, they could create something to convince Devon that it would be a “brilliant” idea.

Nate smiles at Chance.
CBS

Chance thinks that’s great. He’s happy that Nate wants to work with him and won’t have an “us vs them” mentality.

Summer walks into the cafe and sees the two of them talking. She smiles.

Nate says he’d be happy to back Chance up and help him with the pitch to Devon and Billy.

Summer Newman smiles at Chance.
CBS

Chance says he’s looking forward to learning from Nate.

Nate grins and says he figures Chance will teach him something as well.

Chance looks over and sees Summer watching them. He smiles at her.

Chance drinks his coffee as he looks at Summer.
CBS

Society

Abby tells Amanda she doesn’t know what she can say about Devon’s feelings on Billy.

Abby Newman.
CBS

Amanda says Jill wants Chancellor-Winters to present a unified front to everyone, including Tucker McCall.

Abby says she wants unification, but she doesn’t want to betray Devon by discussing his personal feelings about Billy.

Amanda scoffs. Betray? She says she just wants to know if there’s a problem so she can help solve it.

Amanda Sinclair.
CBS

Abby says Amanda wants her to convince Devon to accept and work with Billy.

Amanda says that’d be the best-case scenario. She wonders if Abby has a problem because it’s Amanda who’s asking.

Chancellor-Winters

Devon tells Billy that he came in as an interim CEO since Lily is gone… When she comes back, where does that put him?

Devon talks to Billy.
CBS

Billy says Devon’s right. He’s filling in for Lily at the moment, but he has his own plans that he wants to execute. He says he and Devon need to find a way to understand each other.

Devon agrees. He says they should start with the chip on Billy’s shoulder. It’s pretty obvious that Billy doesn’t trust him… Would Billy care to explain why?

Billy nods. He says he thinks Devon has an issue working with other people. He worked well with Neil, but other than that, Lily was hurt when Devon chose business over his own sister.

Billy talks to Devon.
CBS

Devon says his relationship with Lily doesn’t need to be in their conversation.

Billy says Chancellor-Winters is more than Devon, and given everyone involved, Devon’s “my way or the highway” attitude isn’t going to work. He says Devon has worked independently for a long time, but it’s a problem going forward. It was a problem with other colleagues in the company, and now it’s a problem with Billy.

Devon thinks the “other problems” that Billy is referring to is when Nate was trying to sell their company out from under them and he was trying to protect everyone.

Devon Hamilton Winters.
CBS

Billy says he only joined forces with Victoria because Devon shut down every idea Nate had, and the problems with Jill and Lily got so bad that it almost “crushed” the company.

Devon says the company wasn’t crushed. He thought it was a bad idea to take the company public, and he still thinks so.

Billy says Devon was willing to go behind Lily’s back for it.

Billy Abbott.
CBS

Devon says he already said that Lily shouldn’t be in their conversation.

Billy says Devon and Lily made up and they’re closer now for it, and he forgave Nate, so he knows Devon is capable of forgiveness.

Devon talks to Billy.
CBS

Billy says he just wants to be on a level playing field. He can’t be the only one who’s proving himself to Devon… Devon needs to prove himself to Billy, too. They need to be able to trust each other’s judgment!

Devon says that the only proof Billy needs of his judgment is that he successfully ran the company for over a decade by himself. He says he’s only been asking questions, but Billy is the one who’s making demands and making accusations. He says they’ve gotten off on the wrong foot, and he’s not holding his breath that things will get better. He leaves Billy’s office.

Society

Abby tells Amanda she’s sorry that she hurt her, but using that regret against her is shameless.

Abby looks angry as she talks to Amanda.
CBS

Amanda says Abby misunderstood her. She says Abby has a vested interest and a responsibility to make Chancellor-Winters as strong as possible… Once she’s officially on the board.

Abby narrows her eyes and asks if that’s a threat.

Amanda says it’s not a threat. She knows Abby is fond of Billy; he’s brilliant and forward-thinking, and he may have had some moments where he didn’t shine, but she thinks Devon is unfairly holding it against him. They’ve all done things they regret! Look at them! Look at Chance… He’s gone to work for his family’s business. She wants the four of them to work together on this.

Abby says Billy doesn’t need Jill or Amanda to fight his battles for him… They should trust Devon and Billy to work it out for themselves.

Amanda talks to Abby.

CBS

Chance says he was, and Nate likes one of his ideas and wants to support it. Chance figures he’s getting the hang of the corporate world.

Summer smiles and says she knew Chance would show up in his “cool Marchetti” suit and rock the corporate world.

Summer gasps at Chance.
CBS

Mariah sits down with Abby at the table and asks about Amanda.

Abby says Amanda caught her off guard, but she thinks she held her own.

Abby spreads her arms as she talks to Mariah.
CBS

Mariah asks what Amanda wanted.

Abby says it was about Chancellor-Winters, but Amanda made it personal.

Mariah thinks that sounds messy.

Abby says it could be… She’ll have to wait for the board vote to find out.

Mariah cringes.
CBS

Chancellor-Winters

Amanda walks into Billy’s office and asks how things went with Devon… Did Billy have a chance to talk with him?

Billy says Devon made it clear that he didn’t have any intention of working together with him.

Amanda Sinclair.
CBS

Amanda says that’s what she was afraid of. She went to see Abby to see if she could get some insight into what Devon thought of Billy.

Billy wonders if that was a good idea.

Amanda says it was worth a shot. She says Devon may resent Billy, but she thinks he probably resents Jill even more for bringing Billy in. She doesn’t think Devon has trusted Jill since she wanted to take the company public, so any move that Billy makes is automatically suspect and gets a “no.”

Billy Abbott.
CBS

Billy thinks that since Mamie and Tucker had a secret plan to come after the company, Devon probably thinks that Jill has one, too… And sending Amanda probably only reinforces Devon’s ideas.

Amanda says she has a legitimate reason to be there.

Billy says that going after Abby for information isn’t legitimate. He appreciates Amanda’s presence, but she needs to back off and let Billy handle things.

Amanda Sinclair.
CBS

Amanda says she has complete faith in him, but…

Billy interrupts. Jill doesn’t have that faith in him?

Amanda says that’s not what she was going to say. Jill is proud of Billy and has faith in him. Jill also thinks Billy and Devon are the right team to take the company higher.

Billy Abbott.
CBS

Billy agrees… If they get the chance to do that.

Amanda says the company is divided, and Jill believes Mamie Johnson and Tucker are huge threats. She wants Amanda to get everyone on the same team. That’s her job, and she intends to do it, whether or not everyone likes it.

Daniel’s Apartment

Phyllis can’t believe that Christine thinks she would hit her. She says she’d never do anything like that… Christine isn’t worth the risk.

Christine Blair looks at Phyllis Summers.
CBS

Christine says Phyllis is out of control… Like always.

Phyllis says she’s always been in control. She says when Christine was out buying that “cute little tea tin” for Danny, Phyllis was in the apartment getting very, very close to him until Christine showed up, ruined everything, and scared him away.

Christine calls Phyllis pathetic and says she almost feels sorry for her.

Phyllis Summers and Christine Blair argue.
CBS

Phyllis says Christine is afraid that she lost Danny all over again, but she’ll have her memories and their “connection” to keep her warm at night. Phyllis grabs her belongings and leaves.

Christine punches a pillow.
CBS

The GCAC Dining Room

Lauren asks Danny what’s going on.

Danny sighs and says it’s Cricket (Christine) and Phyllis, of course.

Lauren Fenmore and Danny Romalotti.
CBS

Lauren asks if they’re fighting over Danny again.

Danny groans and asks if it’s his fault.

Lauren laughs and says of course it’s his fault… He’s charming, sweet, talented, and handsome!

Lauren talks to Danny.
CBS

Danny says Cricket accused him of playing Phyllis and her off one another… As if he was secretly enjoying it!

Lauren says his face isn’t saying he’s having a good time. She says Danny and Christine seemed so happy on New Year’s Eve. What happened? Oh, Phyllis happened, of course.

Danny says Phyllis kept telling him that she has feelings for him and he’s a part of her journey to becoming a “new” Phyllis. Danny thinks Phyllis’s interest in him is just part of the feud between her and Christine.

Danny talks to Lauren.
CBS

Lauren says that definitely sounds like Phyllis.

Danny says he’s been impressed with her… Phyllis had shown impulse control and maturity, most of the time.

Lauren asks if he has feelings for Christine.

Lauren Fenmore and Danny.
CBS

Danny says he has deep feelings for Christine.

Lauren nods. Has he talked to them?

Danny says it got so bad that he had to tell them both that they all had to take a break from each other.

Danny Romalotti talks to Lauren.
CBS

Lauren asks how they took that.

Danny says they both showed up at his place with gifts… That’s why he’s at the club! He says Christine and Phyllis were arguing so much that they didn’t even notice him leave.

Lauren laughs. No wonder he couldn’t wait for his tour to start! She asks if Danny has feelings for both Christine and Phyllis.

Lauren Fenmore talks to a laughing Danny.
