Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Traci revealed she offered a bribe to the waitstaff at the Paris bistro, Nikki confessed to buying booze and dreamed of being homeless, and Diane was jealous of Jack and Nikki’s connection.

Nick walks into the restaurant and heads to the bar. He glances over and sees Chance and Summer talking and laughing over a meal.
Summer shows Chance some pictures. He says it’s gorgeous, and he’s not talking about the beach!
Summer grins and asks Chance if he likes to travel.
Chance says he does. He’s been to a lot of places. He lists off a bunch of cities and countries he’s visited, including Australia, where he says he found out his father wasn’t dead after all.
Summer asks if he misses those days.
Chance takes Summer’s hand and says he’s happy right where he is.
Phyllis walks in and sits at the bar beside Nick. She tells Nick that Chance and Summer are together… Just as she predicted!
The GCAC Dining Room / Tucker’s Suite
Ashley sits in the club, sipping a martini. Her phone rings; it’s Traci. Ashley doesn’t answer.
Audra and Tucker roll around in bed. Audra asks Tucker if he’s still glad he chose her.
Tucker says she’s making a good case for herself so far.
Later, Tucker wakes up with Audra in his arms. He rolls over, checks his phone, and sees Ashley’s message: “I need to see you. Immediately.”
Tucker sighs and rolls over, checking to see if Audra is awake, but her eyes are closed.
Ashley gets a message from Tucker asking where she is. She tells him she’s downstairs at the club.
Tucker quietly asks Audra if she’s awake, but there’s no response. He says he loves her and gently kisses her shoulder as he gets out of bed.

Nick asks Phyllis what she means by “predicting” Chance and Summer; didn’t Chance and Sharon end things five minutes ago?
Phyllis says they did end things, but Summer and Chance are together now. It was obviously going that way… Didn’t Nick notice?
Nick says he suspected Summer had a crush on Chance, but she had too much integrity to make a move on him while he was with Sharon. He really respects that about their daughter.
Phyllis says she knew that Sharon and Chance weren’t going to last. She’s really happy for Summer and Chance.
Nick says Summer does seem happy.
Phyllis laughs and says Summer deserves to be happy after she put her through.
Nick grins and says he agrees.
Phyllis says she deserves to be happy, too – even though people in town don’t think so! She asks how Nick is doing; he’s the golden boy whom life has smiled upon and lives in a constant state of bliss. Is he happy?
The GCAC Dining Room
Ashley takes a sip of her drink as she relives the breakup in Paris. She texts Tucker, telling him she’ll only be there for five more minutes.
Tucker’s phone pings with her message as he walks up to Ashley. “What do you want?”
Ashley says she wants to talk to him, but it can’t be here… It needs to be somewhere private. She asks to go upstairs to his room.
Tucker shakes his head and says they’re talking in the club, or she can forget about it.
Society
Phyllis tells Nick it’s been a while since they’ve talked, and she wants to know if he’s happy; does that surprise him?
Nick says Phyllis gets stuck in a rut and focuses everything on what she’s concerned about at that moment- things like their daughter’s love life and Diane Jenkins. He’s not surprised she hasn’t thought about him much.
Phyllis says she knew he was mad at her after she “died,” and she was scared to talk to him because his opinion matters to her. She says he wasn’t blowing up her phone to contact her, either.
Nick says there’s been a lot going on… Nothing he can get into, but he’s been busy.
Phyllis says she wants Nick to know that she cares about him and always will. They’ve been in and out of love so many times, and the best thing they ever did was to create “that gorgeous, incredible girl over there.”
Nick grins. They sure did.
Phyllis says they’ll always share that bond of being Summer’s parents.
Nick says they will, whether they like it or not.
Phyllis tells Nick to stop stalling… What’s happening with him?
Nick says he’s in a good place right now. He can’t help but worry about Phyllis, though!
Phyllis is shocked. Why would he worry about her?
Nick says she’s Phyllis… He knows her!
Phyllis says Nick should buy her a drink, and she’ll tell him why she’s so deliriously happy.
Nick laughs. He needs to hear this!
Summer glances over her shoulder and sees her parents. She whispers to Chance, “Don’t look now, but my parents are here!”
Chance asks if that’s a problem; she’s close with her father and has made peace with her mom.
Summer says that’s true, but they both seem to take a perverse pleasure in knowing her business.
Chance knows what it’s like… His mom doesn’t even live in town, but she knows all about his life. At least they have parents who care… Not everyone can say that! He says he can’t talk smack about her parents because look at the incredible woman they raised!
Summer laughs. She says she wishes she could see the silver lining like Chance does.
Chance says she can start now because her parents are coming over to talk!
Tucker’s Suite
Audra wakes up alone in bed. She calls out for Tucker, but there’s no answer.
The GCAC Dining Room
Ashley tells Tucker that what happened on her trip to Paris is irrelevant.
Tucker asks why she needed to see him immediately if that was the case.
Ashley says she wanted to see him face-to-face and tell him she’s never been more disgusted by anyone’s actions than by his.
Tucker laughs. She woke him up to tell him this?
Ashley says she’s accepted the “sad fact” that she married him, but she’ll be eternally embarrassed and ashamed that she ever loved him. She says he’s outdone himself… Bribing an entire restaurant’s staff on another continent to make her think she’s cuckoo… That’s next-level!
Tucker says they must have all backed up his version of what happened.
Ashley says she knows the truth, and she knows what she has to do next to protect herself and everyone she loves from him and his poison. She says his gaslighting was somewhat effective… Now, her own family is doubting her. She tells him a lot of pain is coming his way.
Tucker says that sounds like a threat.
Ashley says it’s definitely a threat, and she won’t be helping him and Devon reconcile anymore, either. She’ll do everything in her power to make sure Devon cuts Tucker out of his and Dominic’s life forever.
Tucker tells her she should think twice about that.
Ashley says she’ll get his paid-off board of directors at Glissade to understand how vicious and malicious he is. She laughs and says that she used to think her own actions had made Tucker rage because of his heartbreak.
Tucker asks if she’s doubting the heartbreak she caused him… If that’s the case, she really is delusional.
Ashley says you can’t break what you don’t have… And Tucker doesn’t have a heart. He’s all ego, and that rage in Paris was his inability to control and monopolize her.
Tucker laughs.
Ashley says something happened when she realized he was to blame. She had no more guilt about him, and she only holds contempt for him now.
Tucker asks if she’s finished… Now it’s his turn.

Phyllis and Nick walk up to Chance and Summer’s table and say hello while looking awkward.
Chance asks if they’d like to join them.
Phyllis is all for it, but Nick says they won’t… Summer and Chance seem to be having a good time on their date.
Summer smiles and thanks her dad.
Nick says they’ll leave them alone. He and Phyllis head back to the bar.
Chance tells Summer her dad was pretty normal… From the way she was talking, he expected Nick to pull out her old class photos.
Summer grins. She’s glad her dad could take a hint and left them alone… She couldn’t take having to sit through her mom’s “subtle comments.”
Chance says he had to make the offer for them to sit with them, but he’s happy they didn’t.
Summer says it’s strange to see her parents have a peaceful, drama-free drink together.
Chance asks if Summer thinks they’re on a date.
Summer grimaces and says there’s no way. She’s sure they just ran into each other at the restaurant, and her dad couldn’t bring himself to be rude to her.
Chance nods. Nick was pretty angry after…
Summer finishes his sentence. Her “mom’s untimely death.” She says it’s just weird to see them together.
Phyllis raises her glass and clinks it with Nick’s in a toast… “To us!” She thanks Nick for forgiving her for the “Diane Jenkins and Jeremy Stark debacle.” She’s not sure she could have forgiven him if their roles had been switched.
Nick says Summer was affected by Phyllis’s “death” and should have never been forced to go through that. He says it’s been hard for him to let that go, but he wants to… For everyone’s sake.
Summer and Chance talk about their kids, trading anecdotes about Harrison and Dominic.
They discuss parenting techniques and how to deal with tantrums. Chance says that he told Dominic he wouldn’t get what he wanted by acting up, and suddenly, Dominic was the sweetest kid on earth to get what he wanted!
Summer asks if he bought Dominic the drum set he wanted.
Chance laughs. In his dreams! He’s not about to spend ten car payments on something Dominic will lose interest in within a week. He says they can look forward to using all these experiences to embarrass them when they have kids of their own!
Summer wonders if they’re getting karmic payback for what they put their parents through when they were growing up.
Nick tells Phyllis it took a lot of hard work to get over what she did to her family. She collapsed at the gala, which was crazy, and then set up the fake ambulance crash… He had to deal with the fact he’d never see her again! He still can’t believe she framed Diane for poisoning her.
Phyllis smiles uncertainly and says they don’t have to relive it step-by-step. She regrets everything she did, and she’s grateful to Nick that he helped their daughter get through it.
Nick says Phyllis should be thanking Summer; Nick was just following her lead. Summer and Daniel were the ones who were hurt the most, yet they forgave their mother.
Phyllis says he gives her more credit than she deserves.
Nick says Phyllis deserves that credit. He can see she’s making changes to become a better person.
Phyllis smiles. He sees that?
Nick says it’s interesting timing because he’s choosing to believe the same thing about Adam, who is making some changes and decisions to better himself.
Phyllis says she’s glad he doesn’t think she’s a lost cause, but comparing her to Adam… They laugh. She asks if Nick wishes he were more like Adam… It must be difficult for Nick to be seen as the “good Newman,” but it doesn’t leave a lot of room for mistakes.
Nick laughs. He bought Phyllis a drink so they could talk about her; he didn’t think she’d analyze him and try to convince him he’s a “wanna-be bad boy.”
Phyllis says she was just wondering, but she has one more question… What happened with Sally Spectra? Were they really an item?
Nick says Sally is smart, beautiful, and unpredictable… Phyllis shouldn’t find it hard to believe he went for that type of person! He says Phyllis is deflecting, and they need to be straight with each other and quit dancing around.
Chance asks Summer how she and Kyle are doing with co-parenting.
Summer says they’re okay… They’re civil and don’t talk about each other badly in front of Harrison. She worries about Kyle, though… He doesn’t confide in her, but she sees him making dumb moves like getting involved with Audra Charles. There’s nothing she can do but watch from a distance and hope for the best.
Chance says it’s hard. He asks if she regrets that her and Kyle’s marriage didn’t work out.
Summer says she’ll always care about Kyle, but she’s come to realize regret is wasted energy. Life is hard and people disappoint each other… You have to try to not make the same mistakes twice.
Chance likes the way Summer thinks.
The GCAC Dining Room
Tucker swears on the life of his grandson that he didn’t pay the waitstaff or coerce any of them. If they backed up his version, it’s because it was the truth. He says he’s sad that Ashley had to come up with this ugly fiction about him because it was the “Abbott” thing to do.
Ashley says she knew he couldn’t attack her without going after her family.
Tucker says he doesn’t know what’s going on with her, but he thinks she might need to seek professional help.
Audra walks up to Tucker and says, “There you are!’ She says she woke up and found he wasn’t there. The last thing she expected was to find him with the woman who put him through such hell.
Ashley figures Audra is the reason they couldn’t have the conversation in Tucker’s room… It wouldn’t have been very private with her there.
Audra asks if there’s a problem.
Ashley laughs. She says she’s not shocked that they’re sleeping together. She tells Audra she’s just one of the people on a very long list of Tucker’s hookups. She thinks it’s a little soon, though… The divorce papers aren’t even drawn up.
Tucker says he shouldn’t have to remind Ashley that she’s the one who dumped him, and she didn’t put up a fight when he started the annulment proceedings. Did she want him to sit alone for the rest of his life and pine for her?
Ashley rolls her eyes. She says she doesn’t even know why she decided to have this conversation. She gets up and tells Audra that Tucker is her problem now. Good luck with that! She turns to leave but then asks Audra if she was sleeping with Tucker and Kyle at the same time.
Audra doesn’t say anything.
Ashley says, “Classy.” She tells them they deserve each other and leaves the club.
Society
Summer asks Chance how he and Abby are doing… Has he found balance with Dominic and their breakup yet?
Chance says being betrayed hurt him, and it took him some time to get past it, but he also learned from it. He learned that you can’t force love and that hearts are uncontrollable. They want what they want, and logic plays no part. He says Summer’s right. There’s no point in having regrets.
Summer takes his hand and says she likes how he thinks, too.
Nick tells Phyllis he cared about Sally, and he still does. It killed him when their relationship ended.
Phyllis asks what ended it.
Nick scoffs and says it was Adam, of course. Sally had feelings for Adam that she couldn’t let go of.
Phyllis laughs. Sally chose Adam over Nick? Really? She says they deserve each other. She asks how Nick is doing post-breakup.
Nick says he’s fine. He’s back on track and is focusing on family and work.
Phyllis says it’s nice to hear.
Nick asks how things are going with her… How are her life changes working out? Is she sticking to them?
Phyllis says she is sticking with it, and it’s going well. She says she thinks she’s found “peace” with a certain someone.
Nick asks if she’s talking about Danny Romalotti.
Phyllis nods and grins. Does Nick have a problem with that?
Nick says he’s surprised that Danny would feel comfortable with Phyllis.
Phyllis says Danny doesn’t feel uncomfortable with her. He sees that she’s changed and how hard she’s trying. She’s changed a lot because of Danny.
Nick says if that’s the case, he truly hopes things work out for them.
A little later, Summer and Chance have finished their meal. They approach Phyllis and Nick and say goodbye.
Phyllis says they’re adorable together.
Summer and Chance head to the coat-check.
Nick tells Phyllis she was very subtle.
Phyllis says she can’t help how she feels… It just came out that way.
Summer thanks Chance for dinner.
Chance grins and says he wants to thank her for the terrific and interesting evening. He says he likes learning more about her.
They kiss and leave the restaurant.
Phyllis watches as they kiss, smiling. She asks Nick if he’s as happy as she is about them.
Nick says he’s happy, but it’s hard for him to see her start a new relationship so soon. She’s a grown woman who is a mother with her own career, but he’ll never stop seeing her as their little girl who needs her father to protect her.
Phyllis thinks that’s sweet. She feels the same way, and can see that Nick is proud of Summer.
Nick says he’s very proud of her, but he’s never going to be okay with seeing her kiss a man!
Phyllis laughs and proposes a toast… “To us, who are finally finding our happy places.” They clink their glasses.
Tucker’s Suite
Audra and Tucker arrive back in Tucker’s room. Audra asks what the hell just happened downstairs.
Tucker says he’s sorry she had to witness any of it… Ashley’s further gone than he realized.
Audra asks what that means.
Tucker says Ashley heard the truth from several witnesses in Paris about what happened between them, but she refuses to believe it and is hell-bent to come up with a conspiracy theory to paint Tucker as a villain. He says he thinks something is really wrong with her.
Audra says she couldn’t be less interested in what Ashley thinks about anything. Audra would like to know how Tucker got out of bed and appeared downstairs with his ex-wife. She hopes he went down for a drink and had no idea he’d run into her.
Tucker shakes his head. He admits that Ashley texted him and told him that she needed to see him “immediately.”
Audra says he couldn’t resist.
Tucker says he couldn’t, but it’s not because he wanted to hear what she had to say. He thought it was time she heard from him that he was moving on for good.
Audra asks how Ashley reacted.
Tucker says she didn’t react well. Ashley was fine with ending things with him, but she went a step further and threatened to keep Devon and Dominic out of his life forever.
Audra says that’s petty and vindictive, but Ashley isn’t the type to make idle threats. Maybe she’ll want to recruit Abby to help her with it.
Tucker says Ashley can recruit whoever she wants; it’s not going to work. He’ll be damned if he’ll let her keep his son and grandson out of his life!
Audra asks if Tucker told Ashley about “them.”
Tucker says he didn’t have to… Audra took care of that!
Audra asks if he would have told her if she hadn’t shown up.
Tucker nods. Absolutely. He says Ashley is old news, and Audra is his future now.
They clink their glasses in a toast.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley enters the house and pours herself a glass of water. She sits in an armchair and thinks about Tucker’s version of their breakup.
Traci walks into the living room and sees Ashley in tears. She asks what’s wrong.
Ashley says, “I don’t know what’s happening to me, Traci.”
