Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Sally stopped Connor from running away, Ashley thought Tucker was cheating, and Diane made a grand gesture to Jack.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea says that she’s going to check on Connor.
Billy says he’s got an eye on the door; Connor’s fine.
Adam says they should give Connor space.
Chelsea is worried that Connor’s kept his feelings bottled up, and it’s because he didn’t want to bother her.
Adam says that guilt is pointless.
Billy says that he’s surprised Connor wants to live with Anita.
Chelsea worries that she might have to move.
Adam says they’ll figure it out together. He thanks Billy for his concern.
Chancellor Park
Chance is sitting on a park bench when he gets a message from Chelsea that Connor is doing good since he came back.
Sharon enters the park, and she kisses Chance. She asks what Chance wants to talk to her about.
Chance says things may be changing for him in a very big way.
The GCAC Restaurant
Lily and Daniel finish lunch. Lily complains about how full she is and could nap right now.
Daniel jokes that he could go upstairs and sleep now; he doesn’t have to work until later.
They kiss.
Heather walks into the restaurant and sees Daniel and Lily kissing. She looks uncomfortable.
Lily says she’s running behind and leaves the restaurant.
Heather waits until Lily is gone to enter the restaurant. She sits down with Daniel.
Daniel thanks her for taking over for Michael and helping out with Phyllis.
Heather says time slips away; she’s sorry for being late.
Daniel says that Lucy shouldn’t be their go-between. He says Heather’s being weird… What’s going on?
Heather says she’s been avoiding Daniel.
Chancellor Park
Sharon asks Chance what the life-changing news is.
Chance says that Paul – the ex-police chief – called him, and he’s in Portugal right now. Paul has retired, and he recommended Chance for the position of chief. He says He hasn’t got an official offer yet, but he’s sure it’s coming in.
Sharon asks how he feels about that… He’s thought about a career change and wonders if this will be a good move for him.
It’s still law enforcement, but Chance might have more impact in that position. Sharon asks him if it’s something he wants.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea says that Billy and Connor are close and Adam shouldn’t dismiss Billy… It’s not ok.
Adam apologizes to Billy. He says he’s only thinking about Connor, and running away to stay with his grandma isn’t going to help. He needs to speak to a therapist.
Billy agrees. He thinks Connor is ready to talk.
Chelsea says Connor has to be ready to take the first steps with therapy.
Adam says a scenery change won’t help anything. He asks if Chelsea wants to leave.
Chelsea beats around the bush a bit and says that Connor wants to leave town.
Adam says they need to take smaller steps, put Connor in a different school, and he can stay with Adam sometimes.
Chelsea asks if Adam is thinking about what Connor wants or whether it’s about what Adam wants.
Adam says Connor needs both of his parents; he doesn’t want Connor to move away. He says he’ll buy a school if that’s what it takes.
Connor comes in and tells them to stop arguing about him.
Chancellor Park
Chance says being a cop in Genoa City has its challenges… Everyone thinks they’re above the law and can manipulate it to suit them. He’s thought about changing his job because of it.
Sharon says that Phyllis’s case reignited Chance’s love for his job.
Chance says he’s been enjoying his job a lot more lately, and he’s been pondering whether it’s the life for him… He says the job chose him; he didn’t choose the job.
Sharon says she understands. She says her career path has taken a winding road too… Coffee house owner, cosmetics spokesperson, magazine publisher, and therapist!
Chance laughs and says she’s now a tech mogul.
Sharon says maybe she will be soon.
Chance says he likes working cases, being out in the field, and investigating, but as police chief, he’d be in charge of every case and would have to deal with the bureaucracy. What does Sharon think? Could she see him as the chief of police?
The GCAC Restaurant
Daniel is surprised Heather’s been avoiding him… They’re co-parenting, after all.
Heather says Daniel has a lot going on with work and his mother, and she didn’t want to distract him from his life.
Daniel laughs and says he would have welcomed a distraction from Phyllis’s shenanigans. He says that healing has a long way to go when it comes to Phyllis and wonders if that’s why Heather is avoiding him.
Daniel has a feeling that Heather’s not telling him everything… What’s going on? Is she worried that he’s the same person who broke her and Lucy’s hearts? He says he’s not that person anymore.
Heather says she knows he’s different and has his act together now. She’s proud of what he’s accomplished, and he’s come a long way.
Daniel asks if Lucy said something about him.
Heather says Lucy loves him and thinks he’s talented.
Daniel asks if that’s why Heather is avoiding him.
Heather says she doesn’t want to complicate things or blur lines, which might confuse Lucy. She doesn’t want to fall back into old patterns or make each other uncomfortable.
Daniel says it sounds like Heather might be sticking around town for a while.
Heather says she’s not in any rush to get back to Portugal.
Daniel says he’s happy to be able to spend more time with Lucy.
Heather says she didn’t share her plans with Daniel because she didn’t know how he’d feel about her staying in town.
Daniel takes her hand and tells her that he thinks it’s fantastic.
Lily walks into the restaurant and sees Daniel holding Heather’s hand. She doesn’t look too happy about it.
Chancellor Park
Sharon tells Chance he’d be an excellent chief of police if that’s what he wants. She wouldn’t mind him spending more time in an office, even though she knows he’s an adrenaline junky. She wouldn’t mind him staying out of danger.
Chance says that’s true.
Sharon says she’s got one burning question… Will Chance have to wear a suit? He looks absolutely delicious in one!
Chance laughs.
Sharon says that only Chance can make an important decision like this.
Chance says he’s not really a suit guy.
Sharon laughs and says Chance Chancellor, James Bond, what’s the diff? Besides, Chance looks sexy in whatever he’s wearing… Or not wearing!
Chance smiles and they kiss.

Crimson Lights
Chelsea asks Connor to take a seat and tells him that she wasn’t fighting with Adam about Connor. They’re just trying to figure out what’s best for him.
Connor asks to go to a new school with new kids so he can make new friends.
Chelsea says he has friends.
Connor says everyone at school talks about them; they’re not his real friends.
Adam tells Connor that he should have talked to them earlier about it.
Connor says he found a school catering to kids with depression and anxiety.
Chelsea asks if he found a therapist or a school.
Connor says it’s an actual school. He found it to show them how serious he is.
Adam says it’s a big move and loves having Connor around.
Connor says Adam can visit him all the time. He asks if they can take a look at the school… He doesn’t want to go to the bad place that his mom was in.
Chelsea says she doesn’t want that either.
Adam says he guesses they can take a look at the school.
Billy says he’s really glad Connor took the initiative to look the school up on his own.
Adam says Connor’s very mature.
Connor says he was confused and scared, and if he asked to move away, they’d say no.
Adam says they’ll do some serious research and they’ll do what’s best for everyone.
Connor shakes Adam’s hand and says it’s a deal.
Billy takes Connor for a walk to let Chelsea and Adam talk.
Chelsea asks Adam if he sees that letting Connor leave is the right thing to do.
Chancellor Park
Chance tells Sharon that’s enough talk about him… How are things with Adustus?
Sharon says Adustus is no more… It’s now “SNA Media”.
Chance figures out that SNA stands for “Sharon, Nick, and Adam”. He laughs and says at least they convinced Adam that his name sucked. He asks if Adam is behaving.
Sharon says he’s not. She explains that Adam tried blackmailing Audra to merge SNA and Newman Media.
Chance laughs and says he’s not sure she should be discussing a blackmail plot by her business partner with the next chief of police… Unless, of course, she wants him to arrest Adam; he’d be happy to!
Sharon says they have Adam under control, so there’s no need to arrest him… Yet.
The GCAC Restaurant
Lily walks up to the table where Daniel and Heather are talking.
Daniel asks Lily if her meeting was canceled.
Lily looks flustered and says she forgot her tablet. She picks it up off a side table and says she had her assistant reschedule the meeting.
Daniel realizes he has a meeting coming up, and he’s going to be late.
Heather apologizes for taking up his time and making him late.
Daniel says it wasn’t her fault, and he’s really glad they got together and talked. He gets up and asks Lily if she’s going back to the office.
Lily says her meeting was canceled and would like to have coffee with Heather and catch up.
Heather and Lily moved to a more comfortable area of the restaurant.
Lily tells Heather that she’s got to give her credit for keeping Phyllis out of jail. She asks how she did it.
Heather asks what Daniel told her about it.
Lily says that Daniel hadn’t said much… He said that Phyllis pleaded guilty, and the judge was lenient in her sentencing.
Heather says that’s basically what happened, but because it was Phyllis, it was more complicated than that. Phyllis mostly did it herself.
Lily says the judge bought Phyllis’s story.
Heather says that Phyllis was sincere; her remorse felt real.
Lily says Heather is a mom, wasn’t she upset by Phyllis hurting her children?
Heather says she was furious, but she’s trying to take Phyllis at her word that she’s a changed woman.
Lily asks if Heather is heading back to Portugal now that the case is over.
Heather says her firm closes every August, and she’s picked up a few pro bono cases in town. She says that Lucy loves spending time with Daniel, and she doesn’t see any reason to rush back to Portugal.
Lily says that Daniel had mentioned that Heather was in a relationship. She asks if Heather’s partner minds that she’s extending her stay in Genoa City.
Heather shakes her head and says it’s not a problem. She says Daniel is doing well.
Lily laughs and says he’s doing well. She cares for Daniel and hopes that Phyllis is getting better. She doesn’t want Daniel to “go to the dark place” that Heather and Lucy had to deal with.
Heather says she doesn’t want to see Daniel hurt again. A better Phyllis is good for father and daughter.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea and Adam are looking up information on the school that Connor wants to attend.
Chelsea says it looks like a warm, supportive environment.
Adam says it does look solid, and classmates there would understand what Connor is going through.
Chelsea says Connor could live in the dorm or live with Anita. She knows it’s hard for Adam to let Connor go, but she needs to see him smile again.
Adam asks Chelsea how she feels about leaving Genoa City.
Chelsea says she can work remotely. There’ll be sacrifices as parents, but their son comes first.
Adam agrees.
Chancellor Park
Connor and Billy sit on a park bench. Connor asks Billy if he thinks his mom and dad will let him go to the new school.
Billy says that Connor’s done his research about the school, and it’s solid. He says that Chelsea and Adam love Connor a lot and they’ll make the right decision.
Connor tells Billy that he’s sorry… He knows Billy will miss Chelsea if they move.
Billy says he’ll miss Chelsea and Connor too. He says that they’ll come and visit, no matter where Connor lives, and they’ll even bring Johnny to visit him.
Connor thinks that’s cool.
Billy says he’s not Connor’s dad but wants what’s best for him. He says everything will work out, and Connor’s brave for sharing his emotions.
Billy tells Connor that he’s a bright kid with a great future in front of him.
Crimson Lights
Sharon and Chance enter the coffee shop.
Chelsea calls out to Sharon, asking if she can talk to her for a minute.
Chance says he has to get back to work. He kisses Sharon and leaves.
Chelsea asks Sharon if she’s heard of the school that Connor wants to attend.
Sharon says she has… The school has a great reputation for doing great work with children and teens.
Chelsea asks if Sharon thinks it’s a good fit for Connor.
Sharon says it probably would. She asks if Dr. Malone mentioned the school to Chelsea.
Chelsea says that Connor looked it up himself. She tells Sharon that Connor doesn’t want to live in Genoa City anymore and is suffering from depression and anxiety.
Sharon says that Connor finding the school himself is very mature and she’d take it as a positive sign. She asks how Chelsea is coping with it.
Chelsea says she’s scared for Connor.
Sharon says she sees nothing but hope in what Chelsea’s telling her. She says that Connor brought a solution for his problems, and Chelsea’s family is moving in a positive direction.
Connor and Billy come back to the cafe and meet with Chelsea.
Connor asks his mom if she talked with Adam about the school.
Chelsea says they talked, and they’re going to go check out the school he found.
Connor thanks her and gives her a big hug.
Chelsea says that she spoke with Connor’s grandmother and that if everything looks good with the school, they can stay with her until they find a place to live.
Connor thanks her and heads upstairs to the apartment.
Billy sits down with Chelsea and asks how the talk with Adam went.
Chelsea says that it went well. They’ll check out the school, and she’ll move in with her mother and work remotely.
Billy says she has to do what’s right for her son.
Chelsea says the hardest part will be leaving Billy.
Billy says they’ll be alright; they’ll talk and visit all the time.
Chelsea says she’s going to miss Billy. They kiss.
Daniel walks into the cafe. He’s on the phone with Lily, saying they’ll make the most of the next couple of weeks. They talk about going to see a ballgame and going to a museum. He ends the call with her.
Sharon tells Daniel it sounds like he’s got good news.
Daniel says that Lucy is spending the rest of the summer in town and that Sharon should stock up on the ingredients for the mocha fudge drinks that Lucy loves so much.
The GCAC Restaurant
Lily tells Heather that Daniel is going to be thrilled to spend time with Lucy.
Heather says Lucy is happy too; she loves her dad.
They talk about teens, and Lily mentions that Lucy seems intrigued by her teenage romance with Daniel.
Heather says she’s glad Lily and Daniel found each other again… Daniel seems happy.
