Cole Howard smiles.

Cole says he’d be honored to attend.

Victoria hopes Cole doesn’t mind the venue… She wants to tell Claire about the man it was named after.

Cole nods. Neil Winters… The man who almost became Claire’s stepfather.

Victoria Newman, Nikki Newman, and Claire Grace.
CBS

The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge

Summer and Chance walk down the stairs into the lounge. Summer tells Chance that even though she misses being with Harrison at the Abbott house, living at the GCAC has its perks!

Chance says it’s nice to have someone else make their drinks for a change. He suggests they take a seat at the bar.

Summer laughs and they kiss. Summer’s phone pings with a notification and she says it’s Daniel, who wants to get breakfast tomorrow. She thinks Daniel must be upset about getting fired, but figures leaving Lily for Heather got him the “expected” result.

Summer looks at her phone as she talks with Chance.
CBS

Chancellor-Winters

Lily is sitting and working when Daniel walks in, asking to talk. Lily says they’ve said everything there is to say.

Daniel says he wants to talk about OmegaSphere; more specifically, about Princess Louisa.

Lily Winters.
CBS

Tucker’s GCAC Suite

Tucker and Audra walk into his room. Tucker tells Audra he’s sorry she had to deal with Ashley again.

Audra tells him not to apologize. She says she sees that Tucker was right about Ashley… Something strange is happening to her, and it’s unsettling to watch.

Traci is sorry she pulled him away and promises it’s important.

Jack asks if they’re waiting for Ashley since she’s the topic of the meeting.

Traci says she’s “scared to death” for Ashley.

Traci Abbott.
CBS

Ashley’s GCAC Suite / Ashley’s Mind

Ashley (Ms. Abbott) sits on the sofa, eyes closed. She’s in her own mind, a white room with three beds. On each bed lies one of Ashley’s alter-egos. There’s Ash, the youngest, Ashley, and Ms. Abbott.

Ash sits up and complains that Ms. Abbott pulled her back in.

"Ash" (Ashley's alter-ego)
Ash – CBS

Ashley sits on the middle bed with her eyes closed, seemingly asleep.

Ms. Abbot says it’s because Ash is interfering with her plan, and now she has to do damage control to get them back on track!

Ash says Ms. Abbott’s plan is dangerous and will backfire. They’re supposed to protect Ashley, not get her into trouble!

Ms. Abbott (Ashley's Alter-Ego)
Ms. Abbott – CBS

The Jazz Lounge

Summer tells Chance she’s worried about how getting fired will affect Daniel. She’d thought about calling her mom about it but decided that would be a “nightmare.”

Chance says he’s been bracing for Phyllis to storm into the office when she hears about Daniel’s firing.

Chance talks to Summer.
CBS

Summer says Chance must be worried about the blowback on Chancellor-Winters… Firing Daniel and Heather was a bold move.

Chance thinks it’s going to cause some HR issues.

Summer says Daniel didn’t consider the repercussions of getting back together with Heather.

Summer talks to Chance.
CBS

Chance says people usually don’t consider it when they’re in love.

Summer says OmegaSphere saved Daniel. Painting and art was Daniel’s passion, and when his career slowed down, he fell apart.

Chance asks if Daniel was the “starving artist” type.

Chance and Summer sit and talk.
CBS

Summer says it was worse than that. She explains that after he fell into his funk, Heather took Lucy and moved to Portugal to get away from his moods.

Chance says it’s hard to believe that the person who spun out was the same person who created their insanely successful gaming platform.

Summer says the game that Daniel made, Princess Louisa, is what brought him back to himself, to Lucy, and to Heather.

Summer Newman.
CBS

Chance says maybe OmegaSphere served its purpose, and Daniel doesn’t need it anymore.

Summer thinks he could be right, but she worries that having his new career yanked away from him might cause Daniel to spiral down all over again.

Chancellor-Winters

Daniel tells Lily he understands that she let him go from the company and OmegaSphere but begs her to let him keep Princess Louisa.

Daniel Romalotti talks to Lily Winters.
CBS

Lily asks why she’d do that.

Daniel says she’s the only one who understands what the game means to him. He created the game for Lucy and made the character Louisa in her image. He poured all his love for her and pain for messing up his relationship with her into the game, and Lily stood by and cheered him on and gave him the opportunity to bring Princess Louisa to life. He says it saved him and brought his daughter back to him. He’s not saying she shouldn’t be mad at him, but he wants her to remember why they built the game. He begs her not to take it away from him.

Lily Winters.
CBS

Ashley’s Mind

Ms. Abbott tells Ash she’s an idiot; doesn’t she see the emotional threat that Tucker poses to Ashley?

Ash tells Ms. Abbott she doesn’t scare her. She knows Ms. Abbott is dangerous and is putting Ashley at risk.

Ash talks with Ms. Abbott.
CBS

Ms. Abbott says Ashley is vulnerable when she’s around Tucker, and it’s her job for Tucker to get out of Ashley’s life for good.

Ash says Ms. Abbott is making things worse; she knows what Ms. Abbott has planned, and it scares her!

Ms. Abbott says it only scares her because she’s ignorant.

Ms. Abbott talks to Ash.
CBS

Ash says Ms. Abbott is gross. What if they blame Ashley for it? If that happens, they won’t have Ashley at all!

Ms. Abbott says Ashley won’t be blamed… Their “sweet little vessel” will be protected.

Ash asks how Ms. Abbott plans to protect Ashley.

Ashley sits on the bed, asleep.
CBS

Ms. Abbott says that Tucker’s “bimbo girlfriend” will take the fall for it.

Ashley sits on the middle bed, seemingly asleep and unaware of Ash and Ms. Abbott’s conversation.

Tucker’s GCAC Suite

Tucker brings the ring box out again and asks Audra if they should move on to a “more pressing” topic.

Audra says she’s surprised that Tucker didn’t bring up his proposal to Audra with Ashley.

Audra talks with Tucker.
CBS

Tucker raises an eyebrow; did she want him to bring it up to her?

Audra says she almost brought it up herself, but – she can’t believe she’s saying this – it seemed cruel.

Tucker says Ashley is still trying to push her way into their life.

Tucker McCall waves the ring in Audra's face.
CBS

Audra says Ashley is clearly troubled… Something’s happening to her.

Tucker takes the engagement ring out of the box and waves it around Audra’s face playfully. He asks if Audra feels sorry for Ashley.

Audra reaches for the ring with a smile, but Tucker pulls it away.

Audra grins at Tucker.
CBS

The Abbott Mansion

Jack says Ashley has been “moody” lately, but they’ve already discussed that… How did it turn into such a problem?

Traci says they need to talk about Tucker’s warning to Ashley. Tucker had told Ashley she needed to get professional help.

Diane, Jack, Billy, and Traci Abbott.
CBS

Jack, obstinate as ever, says it’s another of Tucker’s mind games. He says Tucker wants to sow doubt in their minds about Ashley’s mental health. He thinks Tucker figures Ashley has to be mentally unsound if she wants nothing to do with him.

Traci says that’s not it… She says Ashley started acting differently during their Paris trip, suggesting there’s a larger issue at play, and it’s not Tucker trying to play mind games. She says they’d never forgive themselves if Tucker is right, and they do nothing.

Jack says he’s sorry, but Ashley has warned him too many times to butt out of her business.

Diane and Jack Abbott.
CBS

Diane says it’s true; Ashley has made it clear she’s tired of everyone weighing in with their opinions about her.

Traci says it’s better to be wrong than to be sorry. She says she couldn’t live with herself if she ignored the warning signs.

Billy says they might want to give Ashley a bit of time to work things out on her own; after all, Ashley demanded that they back off. He asks Traci why she thinks it’s so urgent.

Traci says that things have gotten much more dangerous than they know.

Traci Abbott.
CBS

The Jazz Lounge

Chance tells Summer that, at first, he was surprised that Devon and Lily would fire Heather and Daniel so quickly, but then he remembered how he felt when Abby cheated on him, and he understood where Lily was coming from. He says betrayal hurts, and seeing someone every day at work because you run the company must be difficult.

Summer says she would have probably done the same thing as Lily, but it doesn’t stop her from worrying about her brother.

Chance and Summer sit and talk.
CBS

Chance says all Summer needs to do is be there for her brother.

Summer says falling in love is complicated no matter how many times it happens to you.

Chance says that when love works out, it’s worth it… Otherwise, they’d stop after the first time!

Chance smiles as he talks with Summer.
CBS

Summer says he’s a wise man.

Chance says he doesn’t like to brag. He smiles and offers his hand.

Summer takes his hand and heads to the dancefloor, where they dance slowly.

Summer and Chance dance closely.
CBS

Newman Ranch

Claire tells Cole that it might be too awkward for him to come to the lounge. She says she didn’t know Cole would be there when her mom said she’d tell her about Neil.

Cole says it’s fine and he doesn’t need to be protected. He was there and knows what happened. He says he wasn’t happy when Neil wanted to step in at that time, but now he can appreciate what Neil was willing to do. He says they were young, and he made some mistakes at the time.

Cole Howard smiles as he talks with Claire.
CBS

Claire says he might have made mistakes back then, but he’s there now and the best father she could have ever asked for.

Cole smiles and thanks her. He says he wants her to know her entire story, and Neil was going to be part of that story. Neil helped Victoria through a rough time, and Cole will always be grateful.

Victor tells Claire that Neil was a truly good man and a trusted friend.

Victor Newman talks to Claire as Nikki looks on.

Jack nods. Out with it!

Traci says that Ashley is having blackouts, waking up in strange places, and not knowing how she got there.

Billy Abbott and Traci.

Tucker’s Suite

Audra and Tucker sit and talk over drinks. Audra tells Tucker when she talked to Ashley, it was like she was talking to two different people… There was a frantic, scared little girl, and then seconds later, she was talking to “Ashley on steroids,” who was in control and above it all. She says that’s who Tucker saw when he got there, and it wasn’t just a mood swing… It was jarring.

Audra Charles.
CBS

Tucker nods and says Ashley seems to be getting worse every day.

Audra says Ashley said “she” means to hurt you.

Tucker says he has a hard time believing Ashley would present a physical danger to him.

Audra says she assumed that Ashley meant she would hurt him emotionally… She had never even thought about Ashley doing him physical harm!

Tucker McCall.
CBS

Ms. Abbot nods. She says her plan is genius and warns Ash to stay out of it; she might have to make Ash disappear for good!

Ash, Ashley, and Ms. Abbott.
CBS

Ash says she can’t do that… Ashley created her to protect her from Ms. Abbott!

Ms. Abbott says that’s sweet, but she’s the only one looking out for Ashley’s best interests.

Ash says Ms. Abbott is going too far, and she’s going to stop her!

Ms. Abbott says she’s the one who’s in control, and she’s stronger than Ash, and she’s even stronger than Ashley! She looks at Ashley and tells Ash that Ashley is so weak and vulnerable… Where would Ashley be without her?

CBS

Summer says Harrison is “fine”. She doesn’t look happy about talking to Claire.

Summer and Cole smile at each other as Victor and Nikki look on.
CBS

Summer and Chance agree, and Cole leaves to get a table for them.

Victor asks Summer if she wouldn’t mind talking with him for a minute. They head to the bar together, and Victor asks Summer why he gets the feeling that she’s not too happy with her new cousin… Is it because of what he’d told her about her?

Summer says Victor acts like everything that happened with Claire is ancient history, but only a couple of months ago, Claire tried to poison all of them… Yet now he’s here being “chummy” with her.

Summer talks with Victor.
CBS

Victor says he understands her concern, but she should know that they’ve all decided to move beyond it, and he hopes Summer will, too. He tells her to remember that they’re all the result of their upbringing, and Claire didn’t have a very good upbringing.

Summer says she doesn’t trust her because she went along with Jordan’s scheme.

The Abbott Mansion

Billy asks Traci if Ashley’s been drinking… Is that why she’s been blacking out?

Billy Abbott talks while Jack, Traci, and Diane look on.
CBS

Traci says she asked Ashley the same thing, and Ashley says she isn’t drinking. She says after Jack left yesterday, Ashley came home, and she was a wreck. She asked where Ashley had been, and Ashley admitted that she didn’t know where she was while she was gone.

Billy says that’s not good.

Traci says it’s not. She says Ashley woke up in a seedy motel and was thankfully alone but had no memory of how she’d gotten there, and there were no pills or alcohol involved.

Traci talks while Billy looks on.
CBS

Jack says it is serious.

Traci says it is and thanks Jack for realizing it.

Billy asks how long this has been going on for.

Jack Abbott.
CBS

Traci says she doesn’t know how long the blackouts have been happening, but thinks they’ve all seen Ashley acting erratically.

Billy nods. He reminds Jack that he’d had a run-in with Ashley at Society where she was acting like a child.

Jack says he had a similar situation with Ashley… She was sitting on the couch, binge-watching sitcoms in the middle of the day, and when he mentioned that he and Billy were concerned about her, she told him to tell everyone to stop bugging her and to leave her alone.

Traci says they need to look at the real possibility that something serious is happening with Ashley.

Traci Abbott.
CBS

She says Lucy forgave him and Heather is back in his bed again; they’re one big happy family! She says Princess Louisa served its purpose for him, and now it’s just another game… And she owns it!

A portrait of Neil Winters on the lounge wall.
CBS

Cole says he didn’t know yet.

Victoria says he didn’t know because he was dating Ashley at the time; they were both young and naive and didn’t make the best choices. She says that when she told Neil that she was pregnant, he wanted to get married and raise her as his own.

Claire asks if Neil loved Victoria that much or whether he was just a generous person to raise someone else’s child.

Claire smiles at her parents.
CBS

Victoria says that’s the type of person that Neil was, and if it had come to pass, Claire wouldn’t have been “someone else’s child” to Neil… She would have been his.

Victoria says her appendix burst, and she was rushed to the hospital where Claire was born.

Nikki tells Victor she’s glad Claire is learning about Neil.

Summer, Nikki, Victor, and Chance.
CBS

Victor says naming the lounge after Neil was a wonderful idea; it keeps his name in everyone’s memory.

Nikki says Abby was the one who suggested changing the name of the lounge, and the dedication they did at the gala helped mend things between Devon and Lily… Neil would have been pleased about that, and now his children, grandchildren, and everyone else has a place to go to remember him. She says she misses Neil every day, especially at the AA meetings, but it feels safe and warm in the lounge, and it’s nice to feel “almost safe” somewhere other than the ranch.

Victoria asks if Nikki is worried about an “uninvited guest.”

Cole and Victoria.
CBS

Summer asks if Nikki thinks Jordan would show up.

Nikki says she’s not worried about that. Jordan wouldn’t dare show up, and the Newmans have their security detail looking out for her. She says she won’t let Jordan get to her anymore; she’s going to enjoy their family night out as best she can! She excuses herself to “powder her nose” and leaves the table, heading upstairs.

Victoria says Nikki seems a little “skittish” and wonders if she should go with her.

Victor says she shouldn’t worry about it… She’ll win over her cousin like she won over the rest of the Newmans!

Summer asks Chance if they have to stop dancing.

Chance grins and says they don’t have to, but standing there and swaying in silence would be kind of weird.

Chance Chancellor and Summer Newman.
CBS

Summer wonders whether it’d be weirder than making small talk with her new cousin. She reluctantly lets Chance walk her back to their table.

Victor raises his glass and proposes a toast. He says seeing them all together makes him very happy. “To family, the anniversary of my marriage, and to my lovely wife.”

She says they work because they aren’t traditional; trying to fit into a conventional love story would break them. She says he can have every day with her; it’ll be an endless adventure, and she’s all in, but she doesn’t want labels or documents attached to their relationship. She doesn’t want tiaras or diamonds… They’ll only ruin her!

Tucker laughs and says she sounds superstitious… Like a marriage certificate would be their death toll!

Audra says it’d be the end of “them.” There’s no doubt in her mind about that!

Audra Charles talks with Tucker McCall.
CBS

Tucker asks if she’s sure she’s not being swayed by all the drama with Ashley.

Audra smiles and says that’s not it. She and Tucker are in a great place! She plants a kiss on him and asks if that was a kiss of rejection or if it was a kiss of intense love.

Tucker says he needs another one to figure it out.

Tucker and Audra kiss.
CBS

Audra laughs and says he’ll get plenty of kisses later, but she’s late to meet Sally for a drink.

He’s going to sue Chancellor-Winters for wrongful termination, and he’s going to demand that he gets to keep whatever he wants from OmegaSphere, which was the platform he created.

Lily laughs and says he can try, but his contract is ironclad.

Daniel says he wouldn’t be so sure about that; Heather is going to represent him, and she rarely loses. He tells Lily to get ready for a fight, and he leaves the office.

Daniel smiles as he talks to Lily.

Nikki says they never ate anything at the lounge, and she’s starving. She asks him to ask the chef to make them a light dinner.

Victor thinks that’s a great idea. He leaves the room.

Nikki waits for him to leave and takes the bottle from her purse. She looks down the hall to ensure he’s gone and takes a quick sip. She tells herself she needs a sip to get her through the night, one sip at a time, until she gets through the party and Jordan is caught. She’ll be able to fight it once Jordan has been taken care of; until then, it’s slow and steady—a sip at a time, a day at a time. Nobody will have any idea.

Ashley asks if this is a “sad excuse” for an intervention.

Ashley Abbott.
CBS

Jack says Ashley’s condition is more serious than they at first thought.
