Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Sally blamed Adam for the loss of their baby, while Chance disarmed Faith’s explosive belt.
Sharon’s House
Nick and Sharon come downstairs.
Nick says that he hopes Faith can get some sleep.
Sharon says that Nick should get to the hospital and check on Sally.
Nick says he wants to make sure that Sharon’s safe.
Sharon says she’s fine now.
The Genoa City Memorial Hospital
Sally asks how Adam could do what he did.
Adam says that he didn’t have a choice; a decision had to be made. He says he chose Sally… How could he not?
Sally can’t believe Adam chose Sally over their baby. She cries and says the baby was everything.
Adam says that he couldn’t lose Sally.
Sally says that Adam had already lost her.
Adam says that he thought he was making the right choice.
Sally says he destroyed the baby’s life… And hers. She cries that it’s not fair.
Adam says he’s worried about Sally.
Sally says he should have been worried about the baby.
Adam asks if she wants a doctor to talk to.
Sally says she wants her daughter, and Adam’s the reason their daughter is dead.
She says that Adam should have saved the baby if he loved her at all. He should have saved her and fought for her.
Adam says he was there for Sally; he fought for her.
Sally says she should have just died along with the baby.
Adam says Sally shouldn’t say that.
Sally says she was terrified of being a mom because she didn’t want to fail her child as her parents failed her.
She says that Adam told her that everything would be ok.
Adam says that she was in critical condition and could have died.
Sally asks if Adam loved the baby.
Adam says he loved her with all his heart.
Sally says that he could have given the baby all the care and attention a little girl needs.
Adam says there’s nothing he wouldn’t have done for the baby and Sally.
Sally says he would have done anything for her… Anything but let Sally go.
Adam says Sally needed to be in the world and live.
Sally tells Adam to get out of the room.
Elena comes in and asks Sally if she’s in pain.
Sally nods, and Elena asks Adam to leave.
He walks out into the hallway.
Sharon’s House
Faith comes downstairs and startles Sharon.
Sharon says it’s nice to know she still has some adrenaline left. She thought Faith was sleeping.
Faith says she wanted to be downstairs with Sharon. Faith looks at Cameron’s duffle bag and asks what it is.
Sharon tells her that it’s Cameron’s bag, and Faith asks her to put it outside until Chance can pick it up.
Sharon agrees and puts the bag outside the front door.
The Genoa City Memorial Hospital
Nick walks in, and Adam tells him that when Nick talked to Sally on the phone, she was frustrated about being cooped up and was worried about him.
Adam says he took Sally out to a restaurant to calm her down.
Nick says Sally needed to keep her blood pressure down.
Adam tells Nick that Sally had a headache that wouldn’t go away, so he brought her to the hospital.
Nick says that he couldn’t answer the phone; he was in a life-and-death situation.
Adam says that it was life and death at the hospital too.
Nick asks what he means.
Adam says that the little girl didn’t make it… The baby is gone.
Sharon’s House
Faith says she was terrified in the sewers but knew Sharon would find her.
Sharon tells Faith that Cameron won’t ever be coming back again. There’s no question he’s very dead.
Faith says, “Thanks to you!”
The Genoa City Memorial Hospital
Nick says he’s not sure what to say.
Adam says there’s not really much that he can say.
Elena comes out, and Nick asks if he can see Sally. Elena says he can.
Nick heads in to talk with Sally.
He hugs her and kisses her on the head, and says he’s sorry. He says he should have been there for her.
Sally says it should have been her.
Nick asks what she means.
Sally says that Adam had to make a choice to save Sally or to save the baby.
Nick says that Adam chose right.
Sally says that she already lived her life and screwed it up, but the baby was perfect, and Nick would have loved her.
Nick says he would have loved her, absolutely.
Sally says she would have made a different choice.
Nick tells Sally that she has a lot of people that love her; she’ll make it through this.
Sally says she failed the baby when she needed her most… And she needs the baby too.
Nick hugs her and kisses her as she cries.
Adam looks in through the door as Nick comforts Sally.
Elena tells Adam that he needs to be kind to himself; Sally’s not the only one who lost a baby. She gives Adam a bag and tells him there’s a memento inside.
Nick leaves the room and tells Elena that Sally needs something to help her sleep.
Elena says she’ll get some medication for Sally, and leaves.
Adam looks at Nick and says, “You look like hell!”
Nick laughs ironically and tells Adam he should see the other guy. He says he could use a drink and asks Adam if he’d like to go somewhere and talk.
Adam says he has something to do first but will meet Nick at Society shortly.
Nick leaves, and Adam looks in the bag that Elena gave him.
Elena walks into Sally’s room and tells Sally that she wishes things turned out differently. She says that if Sally wants to talk, she’s ready to listen.
Sally says she just wants to sleep.
Elena says the nurses will bring her sleep medication soon.
She says that if Sally wants to see the baby, she can press the button and tell the nurses what she wants.
Sally says she doesn’t want to.
Elena gives her a pink box and says it’s a gift from the nurses.

Society
Adam walks into the restaurant and sits with Nick, who’s already got a drink waiting for Adam.
Adam takes a drink and thanks Nick. He says that Nick probably wants to hear the rest of the story.
Nick guesses they put Sally on medication, and it wasn’t working.
Adam says because of the pre-eclampsia, the doctors had to induce labor and there were complications.
He says that Elena asked him to make a choice between Sally and the baby.
Nick says he’s sorry Adam had to make that choice. He thanks Adam for being there for Sally.
Adam says that Sally blames him for it.
Nick says it was never his place to decide about the baby; it was all between Adam and Sally. He says Adam did the right thing.
Adam says he couldn’t imagine a world without Sally, and she’s alive now but will never forgive him.
He says that his world changed in the blink of an eye.
Nick says that he’ll never be able to convince Adam that it’s not his fault.
Adam says that he was really looking forward to getting to know the baby, and now… The world keeps spinning without her in it.
Nick says they have to endure.
Adam says Nick should go and be with Sharon and Faith; they need him more than Adam does.
Nick agrees and gets up to leave.
Adam stands up and holds out his hand to Nick.
Nick doesn’t shake his hand but hugs him tightly instead.
The Genoa City Memorial Hospital
Sally opens the box. It’s a baby hat and mittens.
There’s a card, too. She cries and says the baby’s name is Ava Hope Spectra, daughter of Sally Spectra and Adam Newman.
Sally says that the doctors told her she could hold her baby, all she has to do is push a button, but she doesn’t want the baby to be disappointed in her.
She wishes she had a lifetime with the baby. She loved her for her whole life. She says there was a slice of happiness she’d only seen in other people.
She cries over her lost child and says that maybe the baby was more than she deserved.
Sharon’s House
Nick walks in the door.
Sharon asks Nick how things are… How’s the baby?
Nick says there was a procedure, and the baby didn’t make it.
Faith asks what happened.
Nick says he’ll tell her about it later.
Faith gives him a hug.
Sharon asks how Adam is.
Nick says Sally will be fine but wonders how Adam will handle it.
Society
Adam opens the box that was given to him. Just like Sally’s, it contains mittens, a hat, and a card.
Victor walks into the restaurant and sees Adam. He watches as Adam examines the contents of the box.
He walks over, sits down with Adam, and tells him he’s sorry for his loss. He asks how Sally is.
Adam says that Sally hates him, but she’ll be fine. He asks how a person is supposed to bounce back after everything goes out of control. He says that he’s going to cherish every moment from now on.
Adam worries that there’s something corrupt in him that causes problems… Something in his genetic makeup.
Victor asks what the baby’s name is.
Adam says it was “Ava.”
Victor says it’s a beautiful name and he wishes he could have known her. He says that he went through a similar situation.
Adam asked what Victor did to get through it.
Victor says that he had to turn to others, he couldn’t go through it alone.
Adam says he has nobody… He has to get through it alone.
Victor tells him that he doesn’t have to do it alone, he has people around him who love him.
Sharon’s House
Sharon says Nick is welcome to the guest room.
Nick says he has to get home to Christian, but he can stay and talk for a while.
Sharon tells him that he can stay for as long as he likes. She says that it’s sad news about the baby.
Nick says it’s really sad. He says that he knows what it’s like to kill a man, and she was completely justified in what she did. He says that what she did will haunt her until she faces it.
Society
Victor says that Adam has to know that other people in his life have suffered big losses and can help him through it.
Adam scoffs and says that they’re only going to laugh at him. He only wants forgiveness from Sally.
He says that he appreciates Victor trying, but nothing matters anymore.
Adam leaves Victor at the table and leaves the restaurant.
Sharon’s House
Sharon tells Nick that it may seem like she’s not processing things, but she is.
Nick says that she needs to talk to someone; it doesn’t just go away.
Sharon laughs and asks where he got advice like that.
Nick says that he got that advice from Rey when Nick killed someone who was hurting his sister. He says Sharon needs to talk about what she went through.
Sharon says that Cameron had Faith strapped with enough explosions to level a building. She says she killed the man who threatened her child and feels alive and “activated”.
She says after Rey’s death, she was going through the motions, pouring coffee and listening to others, but now she’s awake.
The Genoa City Memorial Hospital
Sally cries and says that Ava’s life was brief, but it changed her. She says that she smiled at the silliest things because she was going to be her mom.
She says she’s sorry they don’t get the life together that she promised her, but she promises that she’ll always love Ava and will always be her mom.
She’ll never forget the baby. She says she has to say goodbye. She says she’ll do it while she holds her.
Sally presses the call button and tells the person who answers that she wants to see her baby.
