Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Summer tried to save her marriage, Abby & Devon got a proposition from Chance, and Tucker asked Ashley to leave Jabot.
Sharon’s House
Sharon talks on the phone with Faith and says she’s fine.
There’s a knock at the door; it’s Adam.
She tells Faith to call back soon and ends the call.
Adam apologizes for startling her.
She asks what kind of jerk shows up without calling first at this time of night.
Sally’s suite at the GCAC
Nick and Sally come into her room, and Nick asks if he can do anything for her.
Sally tells him to stop hovering… It’s bothering her.
Crimson Lights
Chance sits with Summer, who tells him that she has a confession.
Chance asks if he’s going to regret listening to her.
Summer says that her marriage might be ending, and it’s because of the lies she’s been telling.
Michael’s Suite at the GCAC
Michael talks to someone on the phone and talks about his catering order.
He sits down and takes off his pants.
There’s a knock at the door. He invites them in and says someone has to do something about the heat in there. He flexes without looking at the door, his pants on the floor.
He turns around, and Phyllis waves hello.
Michael asks what she’s doing there… He was expecting Lauren.
Phyllis asks if they can stall Lauren.
Michael says she’s only worried about herself.
Phyllis begs him for help.
Michael hugs her and says it’s good to see her.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Sally says she’s sorry for pushing Nick away; he’s been nothing but sweet and attentive.
Nick says he’ll only stop if Sally kicks him out, which he hopes she doesn’t, but he understands if she needs some space. He says that his invitation to move in has no expiration date.
Sally says that she wants to be alone. She asks him to leave.
Nick says he’s there for her; she can give him her worst.
Sharon’s house
Adam says he lost track of time and is sorry for coming there that late. He asks how Sharon is and where Faith is.
Sharon says Faith has left town. Sharon says she’s fine; she has friends all around her.
Adam says it’s lucky that Sharon bounced back so quickly.
Sharon says she did what was necessary to keep her daughter safe and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Michael’s GCAC Suite
Michael angrily tells Phyllis she’s no better than Diane by faking her death.
Phyllis asks if Michael still loves her.
Michael says he doesn’t love her, and she barged in on his romantic night, which was incredibly rude.
Phyllis asks if he knows what she’s going through.
Michael says he heard about it from the police; she killed someone.
Phyllis says she did it in self-defense, and she did it for everyone that loves her. She says she doesn’t feel bad about it because Stark was garbage.
She says Michael can criticize or help her before his wife walks through the door.
Michael says he doesn’t know how she thinks he can help.
Phyllis says he’s a lawyer, she committed a crime, and she wants his truthful opinion.
Michael says, “Truthful?”
Crimson Lights
Summer tells Chance she lied to Kyle; she knew Phyllis was alive before anyone else, and she could have proven that Diane was innocent at any time… And now Kyle hates her for it. She says that she was the one that Phyllis reached out to first; it wasn’t Daniel.
Chance asks why Phyllis contacted her instead of Daniel.
Summer says Phyllis knew she wouldn’t tell anyone.
Chance isn’t surprised.
Summer asks if he thinks she’s a bad person.
Chance says how far Summer will go to protect her mother is very clear.
Summer asks how much trouble she’s in.
Sharon’s House
Sharon asks Adam how he’s feeling and if it’s too soon to talk about the baby.
Adam says he’s fine.
Sharon says that pushing his feelings down isn’t the best way to cope.
Adam says that’s rich, coming from her. He says avoidance is his survival mechanism.
Sharon says if he doesn’t want to be honest about what the loss is doing to him, what does he think is happening with Sally? She says that Adam needs to talk with Sally to figure out how they will memorialize the baby.
Adam says he can’t talk with Sally.
Sharon says that he was willing to do anything for Sally, and Adam needs to find a way to forgive himself.
Adam says he’s not sure how he can do that.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Nick tells Sally that she can’t let her feelings fester.
Sally says if she removes her mask, Nick will never want to talk to her again.
Nick says for Sally to pretend he’s someone else… Like Adam, or a stranger.
Sally says that if she starts screaming, she won’t stop, and she’s afraid she’ll never be happy again.
Nick says he’s there, and he’s hers.
Sally thanks him.
Nick says she’s tough and can take it.
Sally says Ava was going to be her world; she doesn’t know how to come back from this.
She says that she has to forget about Ava; that’s the only way she’ll ever be able to deal with it. She says she can’t forgive Adam for making the decision that killed their baby.
Sally says that she wishes she could have controlled her stress better, but she was stressed because of Nick… He was supposed to make everything ok.
She cries that Nick never answered the phone when she called. She asks where he was when she needed him.
Nick comforts her as she cries on his shoulder.

Sharon’s House
Adam tells Sharon that Sally hates him.
Sharon says that Sally only hated him when she first lost the baby.
Adam says he talked to Sally earlier that day; she definitely hates him, and he and Sally are going their separate ways… It’s not in the stars.
Sally says they were split when the baby was conceived. She asks what made Adam make the choice to save Sally instead of the baby.
Adam says that Sally could survive and have other babies.
Sharon says that Sally wouldn’t have babies with Adam, though.
Adam says, “Life goes on.”
He leaves Sharon’s house, looking upset.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Nick says he hopes that Sally knows how sorry he is for the way everything turned out.
Sally says she knows, and she’s sorry too.
Nick asks if it felt good to get that all out.
Sally says it did.
Nick says she looks sleepy. He says she should get to bed, and does she want his help?
Sally says she’d love his help. They kiss.
Nick walks her to bed and asks her if she’d like some company.
Sally says she does, and they snuggle on the bed. She says he doesn’t have to stay the night; she knows he’s also had a rough couple of days. He can go home; she’s sure Christian will want to see Nick in the morning.
Nick says he won’t go anywhere until she falls asleep, no matter how long it takes.
Crimson Lights
Chance tells Summer that Christine will want to indict Summer at the same time that she indicts Phyllis.
Summer asks Chance if he’s seen Phyllis anywhere.
Chance laughs and says if he did, Summer would be the last to know.
Summer asks if he’d prosecute Phyllis to the full extent of the law.
Chance says he would have to.
Michael’s GCAC Suite
Phyllis tells Michael she can’t wait to see Lauren and tell her how much she loves her. She asks Michael to take her case; he’s the best.
Michael says he’s not working for Diane since Phyllis was never murdered, and Summer asked him to take the case already, and he accepted… So yes, he’s already taken her case.
Phyllis laughs and can’t believe it.
Michael asks if Phyllis knows how many laws Summer has broken for her. He says that if Summer doesn’t watch her step, she’ll be in big trouble.
Phyllis says Michael makes it sound like keeping secrets is illegal.
Michael tells Phyllis that Summer wanted to bribe the EMT to swear that he saw Phyllis kill Stark in self-defense.
Phyllis says it’s true; the EMT did witness it. He witnessed everything. She says that getting in touch with the EMT is her plan, and he needs to stop Summer from doing anything with the EMT.
Michael asks if she trusts him.
Phyllis says she trusts him implicitly.
Michael says that the EMT could testify to Stark’s “evil” tendencies.
Phyllis says that Carson knows exactly what happened.
Michael says they haven’t been able to locate Carson, even with Victor’s help.
Phyllis says Victor hates her, so she doubts he’s actually tried looking for her.
Michael says they will change the world so she can come home.
He asks if she’ll turn herself in.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Nick sits at the bar and answers a call on his phone. It’s Sharon.
Sharon says Nick can take her off his list of people to worry about tonight.
Nick says it doesn’t work like that. He asks if she’s looking for company and wants to talk.
Sharon says that Adam showed up earlier at her house.
Nick says he can come over if she likes; he’s not working tomorrow.
Sharon asks what happened… Why’s Nick not working?
Nick says that Victoria forced a leave of absence on him.
He ends the call.
Adam walks into the club and nods hello to Nick.
Adam says he hopes this isn’t becoming a “thing”… Them sharing a drink and their woes. He asks how Sally is.
Nick says it’s not a good time for Sally. He says Adam kept showing up to the hospital when Sally asked him not to, and then he showed up at Sharon’s.
Adam says that Nick could have stayed with Sally.
Nick says he had to save people’s lives.
Adam says Nick got to be the hero, while Adam took all the blame.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Sally wakes up to an empty bed.
She painfully makes her way to her purse and brings the memorial box back to her bed.
She opens it and holds the little crocheted hat in her hand before climbing back into bed.
Michael’s GCAC Suite
Phyllis says she’s already stayed too long and doesn’t like being on the run.
Michael tells her to stay.
Phyllis says he needs to make an offer she can’t refuse and that she misses people all the time. She asks him to get her out of this.
Michael says they’ll put everything behind her so she can walk the streets of Genoa City with her head held high.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Nick says nobody asked him what happened that night, but he’s glad Adam was there to step up for him.
Adam says Nick swooped in and was the hero while everything fell apart for Adam. He says it’ll happen again and wants to know how Nick feels about it.
Nick says it was an awful night for everyone.
Adam says it was worse for some people.
Nick says he asked Sally to forgive Adam, and she’s decided that since the baby is gone, there’s nothing between Adam and Sally now, and she asked Adam to stay away.
Adam thanks Nick for the “advice” and leaves.
Crimson Lights
Chance tells Summer it sounds like she doesn’t want to be friends anymore.
Summer says their friendship is over when she gets up from the table.
Chance says they’ll find Phyllis and that Summer can focus on more important things when she returns.
Summer says Chance might have helped her after all. She says she will help Chance because that’s what friends do.
Michael’s GCAC Suite
Phyllis tells Michael she can’t turn herself in yet. She asks him not to hate her.
Michael says he could never hate Phyllis.
Phyllis says she’ll talk to him later. She gets ready to leave.
Michael says she needs to come home soon.
Phyllis says she’ll do it… Some day, when she’s ready.
Michael asks when he’ll see her again.
Phyllis puts on a disguise consisting of big sunglasses and a floppy hat. She tells Michael to work his magic, and she’ll return with bells on.
She leaves his room.
