On the last episode of Y&R, Victor threatened he’s done with Adam if he doesn’t follow his orders, while Sharon & Chance made love.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane answers the door; it’s Summer.
Diane asks Summer if her visit has something to do with Phyllis’s arrest.
Summer says she’s there to tell Kyle about it.
Diane tells her that Kyle was there with her when she found out about Phyllis’s arrest.
Summer asks how Kyle reacted to the news.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Kyle knocks at Audra’s door, and she pulls him into the room.
They make out passionately.
Lily’s Penthouse Apartment
Lily is still unpacking when Daniel comes in.
Lily asks Daniel what’s up.
Daniel says he knows he looks like hell… His mother has been booked and is spending the night in jail. It’s hard to believe she’s finally done the right thing by turning herself in.
Lily says at least Phyllis is safe.
Daniel says something feels off… An eyewitness turned up to corroborate Phyllis’s story about self-defense, and he doesn’t feel it’s a coincidence.
Lily says it’s Phyllis, so you have to wonder.
The GCAC
Christine says she’s surprised Heather took over for Michael. She asks what Paul is doing in Portugal.
Heather says Paul is searching for meaning in life, and they should focus on the case instead of talking about him.
Christine says that Phyllis is putting on a show.
Heather says a witness has corroborated Phyllis’s statement that she acted in self-defense.
Christine says the same witness said he saw her die in a fire.
Heather says the charges should be dropped and Phyllis released immediately.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra pulls off Kyle’s shirt and says she was surprised to get his text. She’s happy he took the job and says they’ll make a great team.
Kyle says tonight is a celebration of their collaboration and his new job.
He kisses Audra’s neck as they undress each other.
They fall into bed, laughing and kissing each other.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane tells Summer that Kyle was as shocked as she was when they found out about Phyllis’s arrest.
Summer asks where Kyle is.
Diane says she doesn’t know where Kyle is. She says he’s been restless lately, and it’s really been tough on him. Maybe things will change for both of them.
She says Phyllis wanted to put her in jail, but now that Phyllis has been arrested, it’s Phyllis’s turn to be in jail. She says she’s getting on with her own life and hopes that Summer will do the same.
Summer tells Diane that Phyllis turned herself in… She wasn’t arrested.
Diane is surprised.
The GCAC
Christine tells Heather there’s no way she’s going to release Phyllis.
Heather says Phyllis was Jeremy Stark’s victim. Carson said that Stark was dangerous, and the EMT is willing to testify under oath that he witnessed Stark attack Phyllis and that she killed him in self-defense.
Christine says it’s too convenient and rehearsed. She says Phyllis’s “swan song” at the gala was award-winning.
They argue for a few minutes.
Lily’s Penthouse
Daniel says he doesn’t know what to believe anymore; maybe it’s a coincidence that the EMT showed up the same day his mother turned herself in.
He says when Phyllis learned that Carson went to the police, her reaction seemed more about meeting others’ expectations rather than expressing how she really felt.
Lily asks Daniel if he thinks Phyllis was lying and knew about Carson turning himself in.
Daniel isn’t sure, but he doesn’t think Phyllis is telling them the whole story.
Lily says Daniel is between a rock and a hard place.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane tells Summer that Phyllis’s lies will have lasting damage, and they’re all Phyllis’s victims in this.
Summer asks if Jack knows where Kyle is.
Diane says Jack’s out of town for a business trip. She says Kyle may have gone looking for Summer.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle kisses Audra as they lie in bed.
Audra picks up her cell phone and says she’s waiting to hear from Nate. She says that Nate said something was up at Newman, and she’s curious what that could be.
Kyle laughs and says Audra is back to business now that their fun is over.
Audra says that’s who she is… Playtime and work time are separate.
She kisses him and says she gives 1000% to both play and work.
Kyle says he’s technically still part of the Newman family; maybe he can look into the situation at Newman and get her some information.
Audra says that Nate has it under control. She asks how Summer would feel about Kyle sharing Newman intelligence with an outsider.
Kyle says Summer would hate it, but she’s done worse.
Audra asks how Summer feels about him working with her.
Kyle says Summer doesn’t trust Audra and told him to watch his back around her.
Audra says they’ll be fine as long as Kyle doesn’t cross her.
The GCAC
Christine tells Heather she doesn’t believe that Phyllis is innocent.
Heather says there were extenuating circumstances.
Christine asks how long Michael knew about Phyllis before she turned herself in.
Heather says it’s not relevant. Phyllis reached out to Michael, and Heather had to step in when Michael left to take care of Gloria.
Christine is surprised that Phyllis turned herself in before knowing that Carson was going to testify. She says that Phyllis wouldn’t have turned herself in without having a plan to get herself off the hook.
The Abbott Mansion
Summer tells Diane she hasn’t heard anything from Kyle yet… It must warm Diane’s heart to see Kyle and her split up.
Diane says it’s not like that. She wants things to work out between Summer and Kyle. She says she told Kyle not to give up on his marriage.
Summer asks what Kyle said in response.
Diane says Kyle was hurt and confused; he’s not thinking straight. He doesn’t know where his heart lies right now, and it’s too soon for Summer to give up hope.
Summer asks why Diane cares about her feelings.
Diane says she looks at Summer and sees the woman that Kyle loves. Summer makes Kyle happy, and that makes Diane happy.
Summer says she wants Kyle back but doesn’t know how.
Diane says there’s always a way back.
Summer asks what Diane would do in her situation.
Diane says the “old Diane” would lie and do anything to get him back.
Summer says the old Summer would do that too.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle and Audra get dressed. He says he should go, as he wants to be there when Harrison wakes up.
Audra says she likes that Kyle’s not clingy. She asks him to be more discreet with his text messages and says Tucker saw his message asking her to meet.
Kyle asks how Tucker saw that.
Audra says Tucker’s nosey. She kisses Kyle and says she’ll see him for his first day at Newman Media tomorrow.
Audra opens the door for Kyle, and Nate stands there, ready to knock at her door.
Lily’s Penthouse
Daniel tells Lily it’s been a long day, and he can’t stop thinking about the trouble that Phyllis has gotten herself into.
Lily says they should talk about something else.
Daniel says they should talk about Lily.
Lily laughs and says she got a new headboard for the guest room, she’s trying to figure out the right color to go with it.
Daniel asks how her talk with Nate was.
Lily says that the conversation with Nate “went off the rails” when she brought up Victoria.
Daniel says Nate’s protective of Victoria.
Lily says she’s upset with Nate, but she worries about him… She knows that the Newmans will use someone up and spit them out.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Nate greets Kyle and asks if he came at a bad time.
Kyle says it’s fine; he was just leaving.
Nate says he’ll see him tomorrow at Newman Tower.
Kyle leaves the room, and Nate walks in.
Audra tells Nate, “Not one word!”
Nate says he wouldn’t dream of it. He says he was copied on a Newman family text, summoning him to the ranch.
He relates that Victor suggested Nate couldn’t be trusted and went off on everyone.
Nate says he’s feeling hungry. He asks Audra to get a bite to eat.
Audra laughs and asks if Nate’s going to leave her hanging without telling her what happened at the meeting.
Nate says telling the story deserves a good meal, and she’ll love the ending.
The Abbott Mansion
Summer tells Diane she doesn’t want to trick Kyle into coming back… She already tricked Kyle into marrying her once.
Diane is surprised and asks how that happened.
Summer says she offered to give Lola a liver transplant… But only if Kyle married Summer.
Diane is surprised.
Kyle comes home and asks what Summer is doing there.
The GCAC
Downstairs at the restaurant, Audra asks Nate to tell her what happened at his meeting with the Newmans.
Nate relates that Victor is taking control of Newman Media. He tells her about Sharon wanting to merge with McCall Unlimited and says that Sharon will run Tucker’s corporation.
Audra is surprised by the revelation, but figures that Sharon runs a coffee shop, so she shouldn’t be anything to worry about.
Nate says that he wouldn’t underestimate Sharon.
Audra asks where that leaves Newman Enterprises and Newman Media.
Nate says Victor wants him to stay at Newman Enterprises, which means that Newman Media is Audra and Kyle’s to run.
The Abbott Mansion
Summer tells Kyle that Phyllis turned herself in.
Kyle says he’s sure Summer is relieved.
Summer walks up to Kyle and says he smells like perfume. She asks if he’s been with someone.
Kyle says, “Goodnight, Summer,” and heads upstairs.
Summer stalks out of the house.
The GCAC
Heather says that Phyllis didn’t know about Carson’s return when she turned herself in.
Christine says it’s too convenient that the eyewitness appeared the day that Phyllis turned herself in.
Heather says Christine can’t give Phyllis the benefit of the doubt. She says she believes that Phyllis killed Stark in self-defense.
Christine says that doesn’t negate all the other charges.
Heather asks her to keep an open mind and not to let her hatred for Phyllis stop her from doing the right thing.
Lily’s Penthouse
Lily looks at some fabric swatches, trying to figure out which fabric she should get.
Daniel thanks her for being there for him. He says he should leave… He’s got to get up early for his mom’s arraignment.
Lily kisses him and thanks him for helping her with the move… She couldn’t have done it without him.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane is sitting on the couch when Kyle walks into the living room.
She asks Kyle if there’s something he wants to talk about.
Kyle says he doesn’t want to talk… He’s got to get up for his new job in the morning.
Diane is surprised and asks where his new job is.
Kyle says Audra Charles hired him to work with her at Newman Media.
Diane asks Kyle if he should be making such moves so quickly.
Kyle says that Jack kicked him to the curb, so he’s got to find his own way in life.
Diane says Jack didn’t “kick him to the curb”… He offered Kyle another job at Jabot.
Kyle says the offered job was beneath him and that he finally gets to make a mark as something other than “Jack Abbot’s son”.
Diane says he’s acting out of hurt and frustration.
Kyle tells her to relax.
Diane says she doesn’t want to argue, she’s going to bed.
The GCAC
Audra and Nate toast to a bright future. She says that she never expected a power play from Victor.
Nate says Victor is a master at chess, but he’s on their side. He says that Victoria will fold McCall into Newman Enterprises, and they’ll be left to run both Newman Media and Newman Enterprises.
Summer comes in and walks up to Audra and Nate.
She smells Audra’s perfume as Audra says hello to her.
