Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Phyllis poured her heart out, Tucker looked to oust Ashley from Glacade, and Danny cooked up romance for Christine.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea meets Billy at the coffee shop. They kiss.
Billy tells Chelsea they’ve finally got a plan to take down Tucker. He says she has to swear secrecy before he tells her any of it.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley enters the living room and sees Jack. She asks why he’s so happy.
Jack says he’s glad they aren’t fighting.
Ashley says he’ll be glad to know she’s considering his request to sell Glacade to Tucker.
Jack figures that if Tucker gains control of Glacade, he might leave the Abbotts and Jabot alone.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Tucker enters Audra’s suite. He yells out, “Good morning, Audra!”
Audra asks why he’s yelling.
Tucker says he’s giving Kyle ample warning to collect his stuff and get back to Jabot.
Audra says Tucker’s wasting his breath and seems obsessed with Kyle.
Tucker says Audra’s young; she ought to “live it up” and take advantage of it. The only thing she needs to do is to let him know any secrets that Kyle may have about Jabot.
The GCAC Dining Room
Diane and Kyle are looking through the menus.
Kyle says he’s starving.
Diane figures that finding a way to stop Tucker has fueled Kyle’s appetite.
Kyle’s not so sure. He just wants pancakes.
Diane is excited about their plan and thinks Jill joining forces with the Abbotts is a heck of an alliance.
Society
Nate enters the restaurant and joins Devon and Jill at their table.
Jill says they need to bring Nate up to speed. She says Chancellor-Winters is facing a threat, and they have work to do.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley tells Jack that she’ll only see Tucker once a year… When they’re celebrating Dominic’s birthday. She tells Jack to go over the plan again to ensure she has it straight.
Jack says that Tucker will buy Ashley’s half of Glacade and will try to threaten their place in the market.
Ashley says it will take a lot of money for Tucker to get Glacade to the level that it will threaten Jabot.
Jack agrees that it’s going to take a lot of money, and he intends to make sure Tucker isn’t able to secure financing.
Ashley says she’s raising the price she wants to sell the company for, leaving less money for Tucker and more for the Abbotts.
Jack thinks Tucker will do anything to weaken Jabot, so they must turn the tables on him by tearing Tucker’s company apart from the inside.
Ashley asks how they’re going to chip away at Glacade.
Jack says they’re planning to expose Tucker’s involvement in the cover-up at McCall. A board of directors won’t allow Tucker to stand once the story is out. He asks if Ashley is with him on the plan.
The GCAC Dining Room
Diane says she’s enjoying her coffee, but in her mind, she’s sipping champagne to celebrate Tucker’s demise.
Kyle wonders if Jack will be upset that they’re doing things behind his back.
Diane says if Tucker plans to use Kyle to destroy Jabot from the inside, then it’s up to Kyle to stop him. She thinks Jack will be proud.
Kyle says Tucker and Audra haven’t told him what they want from him. So far, they just want Kyle to keep his eyes open.
Diane asks if Tucker trusts Kyle yet.
Kyle shakes his head. He doesn’t think Tucker trusts anyone, but it seems that Tucker’s buying it so far.
Diane says Kyle should let Tucker believe that Kyle is unhappy with his family and their decisions. She says Kyle should ask Tucker for advice so that Tucker will think Kyle is devoted to him.
Kyle thinks that’s a good idea. He has some ideas on how to get closer to Tucker.
Diane figures Tucker will let Kyle in on his plans for Glacade.
Kyle nods. He says once they find out what Tucker is planning, they’ll make their strike.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra tells Tucker to have faith in her. They’re in the early stages, and she’s laying the groundwork for building trust with Kyle.
Tucker says they need to figure out whether Kyle is really working for them or for Jabot. He thinks Kyle is playing them. He wants evidence that Kyle is on their side.
Audra says she’s doing her best.
Tucker doesn’t think she is doing her best. He tells Audra to get Kyle to do anything that will prove to him he’s really on their side.
Audra says she can do it… She can do anything.
Society
Nate asks Jill if the threat she mentioned has anything to do with Tucker.
Jill says it could. She asks if Nate heard about the fire at Mattie’s school.
Nate heard about it. He asks if Mattie is okay.
Devon says she’s okay physically, but she lost one of her professors in the fire.
Jill says it was Mattie’s mentor, her advisor.
Nate didn’t have any idea. He’s glad Lily is there with Mattie.
Jill nods. Lily will be staying with Mattie to help her through it.
Nate says they can handle things for a few days.
Jill explains that Lily is going to be gone for a while.
Nate says they’ll show Lily they can handle things independently while she’s away.
Jill says under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t be an issue.
Nate figures that things aren’t normal with Tucker making “mysterious moves.”
Jill says the timing is bad. Tucker is a wildcard and could do anything.
Mamie walks up to the table. She says Tucker is coming after their company; it’s time to have all hands on deck! She sits down with them, saying she must have missed her invitation.
Devon says it was a last-minute meeting.
Jill says Devon’s just trying to be nice. Mamie wasn’t invited to their meeting, and the three of them can handle this crisis.
Devon says it’s a frustrating time.
Jill says they called the meeting to bring Nate up to speed, and Mamie already knows what Jill was going to tell him. Jill wants to find out whether Devon is okay with Nate coming back to Chancellor-Winters.
Mamie makes a snide remark about Jill losing her memory.
Jill says Mamie should phone in her suggestions from a remote island instead.
Mamie says she’s invested in the company and isn’t going anywhere.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea tells Billy the plan sounds exciting.
Billy says everyone has their part to play, and once things are up and running, Tucker will be out of the picture.
Chelsea wonders who will be doing the day-to-day corporate stuff since all the executives at Jabot seem to be focused on Tucker. She suggests that Billy take care of it.
Billy says he wants to be part of the action. No risk, no reward!
Chelsea says Billy seems to be looking for a big payout… It’s like he’s going to bet it all in a game of poker.
Billy says it has nothing to do with gambling.
Chelsea says it sounds like it; Billy’s talking about his heart pounding, how he will win big, and there’s no way he can lose. She thinks Billy might be heading for trouble, and he doesn’t seem aware.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley asks Jack why he doesn’t think she’ll do the right thing when Tucker is involved.
Jack says it’s not her… He doesn’t trust Tucker. He wants to know what Ashley thinks of their plan.
Ashley wishes they had another plan. She says that even being in the same area code as Tucker is disturbing.
Jack sits beside her. He knows it’s not easy for her, and she’s gone through hell because of Tucker.
Ashley smiles and says Jack is her big brother, so he should beat Tucker up.
Jack says Ashley doesn’t need him riding in to save her, but they need to get Tucker out of their lives… For everyone’s sake!
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Tucker stands closely behind Audra, fighting to keep his hands off her. He says he really admires her intelligence.
Audra laughs. She’s not sure how she feels about Tucker wanting her for her mind. She wants him to tell her more.
They sit down. Tucker says he knows her better than Kyle ever did.
Audra asks if Tucker is threatened by her relationship with Kyle.
Tucker says they have too much history; he doesn’t think she’d throw it away for a fling with “a haircut.”
Audra wants to know about their future. She wants to know what she’ll be doing as their plan progresses.
Tucker says she’s irresistible. He says Audra loves the thrill, and so does he. His phone pings with a message from Ashley, asking him to meet her. He shows the message to Audra.
Audra wonders what that’s all about.
Tucker says Ashley must have made up her mind.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack figures once they’ve taken away Tucker’s money and power, he’ll have nothing left. That’s how they defeat the enemy!
Ashley shakes her fist and says she’s there for it. Her phone pings with a message from Tucker.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra asks Tucker what’s going on between him and Ashley.
Tucker says Ashley doesn’t trust him. All he wants is Ashley’s half of Glacade. That’s the other part of his plan.
Audra says Tucker had refused to share his entire plan with her.
Tucker laughs and says there’s no excitement in it. He wants to keep her guessing.
Audra says she needs to know more about what’s expected of her.
Tucker says she just needs to keep doing what she’s doing. Offer Kyle the world and they’ll leave him in ashes. Before that, though, she needs to convince Tucker that Kyle is really on board with them.
Audra says it’s just another Tuesday, then.
Tucker says it’s just another Tuesday for Audra; as for him, he has to meet with Ashley.
Audra wishes him good luck.
Tucker smirks and says he’ll need it. If he’s not back in 24 hours, alert the authorities! He leaves, gazing longingly at Audra as he closes the door.
Audra groans. “Ugh.”
The GCAC Dining Room
Kyle figures his mother wanted to have breakfast with him so Jack wouldn’t find out he’s a double agent.
Diane says it’s best that they keep it a secret from his father. Jack can maintain “plausible deniability,” and Kyle can be the one to save Jabot. She says Kyle needs to be careful with Tucker… He’s a criminal!
Kyle says he’s not worried about Tucker; he can handle him. He wants to know what happens after they take Tucker down.
Diane thinks Jack will want to absorb Glacade into Jabot once Tucker is out of the picture.
Kyle thinks that’s a brilliant idea.
Crimson Lights
Billy tells Chelsea she has nothing to worry about.
Chelsea says Billy’s acting like he’s sitting at a poker table. She’s worried.
Billy says this is how it is in “big business.” It’s just how the game is played.
Chelsea says she’s in business, too.
Billy says he’s fighting in the trenches. You have to play the long shot, and sometimes you win, but sometimes you lose. He realizes what he just said, and figures out that Chelsea was right… He is approaching it like a poker game.
Chelsea says she wanted him to see it himself and that he wouldn’t resent her for saying it.
Billy says he’s glad she said something about it. He’s upset that he didn’t see it himself.
Chelsea says the dopamine rush blinded him to it. She’s grins and says she’s “a big buzzkill” for pointing it out.
Billy says he’s grateful for the buzzkill. He admits that he’s one step away from walking down a back alley and finding a gambling den. It’s a slippery slope for him.
Chelsea says Billy’s been there for her, and she’s holding up her part of the deal.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Tucker walks down the stairs into the lobby as Ashley enters the club.
Kyle and Diane leave the dining room and run into Tucker and Ashley in the lobby.
Tucker greets Ashley and says hello to “the new COO of Jabot… And his mother.” He asks how Kyle’s settling into his new position.
Diane tells Tucker they don’t need him to ruin an otherwise pleasant day.
Tucker says Diane is endearing. He asks them to let Jack know that Tucker is no longer interested in Jabot. Tucker has a new mission in life… As long as he gets Ashley’s approval.
Ashley tells Tucker they should get a table to discuss it. She says goodbye to Kyle and Diane and heads into the dining room.
Kyle watches Ashley and Tucker as they go. He wonders if Ashley is in on the plan or whether she’s backed out.
Diane hopes Jack has convinced her to side with the family.
Kyle hopes so, too. They leave the club.
Ashley and Tucker sit at a table. Ashley tells Tucker this won’t take long.
Society
Devon says they need to remember they’re on the same team and working toward the same goal. He tells Jill and Mamie that they need to stop distrusting each other.
Jill says they’re having fun; it’s a friendly collaboration between them!
Mamie says they have to be gentle with “the poor dear,” as Jill tends to get confused when she’s confronted with new ideas.
Devon says that type of comment isn’t needed. They want to talk about what matters.
Jill and Mamie keep bickering.
Nate says he’s going to keep out of it.
Devon says they don’t know what Tucker will do. He thinks it’d be foolish to refuse Mamie’s help.
Jill says Mamie has no power or say in the company.
Mamie says Jill must be intimidated by her presence.
Jill says Devon is too polite to tell Mamie when it’s time to shut up.
Nate says that if they’re trying to prove to Lily that they can handle things while she’s gone, they’re off to a bad start.
Devon agrees. He asks if they can get to business.
Jill finally gives in. She says Nate has been given a second chance, and warns him not to take advantage of his family.
Nate says, “Welcome back, watch your step.”
Jill laughs and says he’s a quick study. She asks Devon what his thoughts are on Nate coming back.
Devon says he’s looking forward to seeing what Nate brings to the table. With Lily taking a leave of absence, the timing couldn’t be better; they need him. He says Nate knows the company as well as any of them do.
Nate says whatever they need, he’s there.
Devon asks Jill if she wouldn’t mind if he and Nate continued their discussion back at the office.
Jill agrees and asks to be kept in the loop.
Mamie is happy to see Devon and Nate working together.
Devon asks if Jill and Mamie have plans for the rest of the day.
Mamie and Jill both promise to be on their best behavior.
Devon smiles and leaves the restaurant with Nate.
Mamie tells Jill she’s giving Nate and Devon the wrong impression about them… They both need Jill and Mamie’s support right now! She thought they were together on this idea about Tucker.
Jill shakes her head. She says they have a common enemy in Tucker, and she won’t apologize for saying that Mamie doesn’t have the skills to help them. She says Mamie made a lot of money, but she’s never ran a company that’s under attack before and never went up against an enemy like Tucker McCall.
Mamie says she’s done just fine against Jill. Tucker will be a piece of cake!
Crimson Lights
Chelsea and Billy share a cinnamon roll. Chelsea says a lot is riding on Kyle’s role in the battle against Tucker. She asks if Billy thinks Kyle is up to the task.
Billy isn’t sure. He thinks Kyle may be unprepared for the fight ahead of them.
Chelsea figures Kyle may need advice from “someone much older and wiser.”
Billy doesn’t think Kyle is looking for advice from anyone right now.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle and Diane walk into the house, laughing.
Jack asks them how breakfast was. What did he miss?
Diane says they had a lovely breakfast. Kyle ate a whole stack of pancakes!
Kyle tells Jack they ran into Ashley and Tucker, who met at the club. He asks if Ashley agreed to sell her half of Glacade to Tucker.
Jack says that Ashley did agree to sell. So far, so good!
The GCAC Dining Room
Tucker asks Ashley if she has an answer for him.
Ashley nods. She’s decided to sell him her half of Glacade.
Tucker asks what conditions she’s asking for.
Ashley says Glacade will be his, free and clear.
Tucker says it’s suspicious how amenable she’s being.
Ashley says they need to make a deal if he wants the company.
Tucker figures she’s playing an angle and has been since she returned from Paris, but he can’t figure out what it is.
Crimson Lights
Devon and Nate are in the coffee shop. Devon looks at his phone, and Nate asks him if he’s expecting to hear from Lily.
Devon nods and says he’s expecting a call from Lily or the police station, with Mamie and Jill asking to bail them out.
Nate laughs and says Mamie and Jill are too classy to get into fisticuffs in public.
Devon thinks they handled the situation as well as they could.
Nate tells Devon he wants to thank him for giving him the chance to come back to Chancellor-Winters. He won’t let him down!
Devon smiles.
Society
Jill asks Mamie how much it would cost to make her go away… She’d love to write that check!
Mamie says she can’t be bought.
Jill figures it was worth a try; it worked before! She says if money won’t do it, what will it take to get Mamie out of their business?
Mamie says she was about to ask Jill the same question.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea asks Billy whether he’d rather sit at a fire and roast s’mores, or would he rather have backstage passes to five of his favorite bands on tour.
Billy asks if she’s trying to figure out a Christmas gift for him. He says she doesn’t need to buy him anything since he has everything he wants. Chelsea makes him happier than anything, and she makes him a better person.
Chelsea laughs and kisses him.
The GCAC Dining Room
Ashley tells Tucker that he can’t figure out her angle because there is no angle.
Tucker says she’s changed her mind on it a few times. First she wanted to give him Glacade, then she was ready to fight him for it, and now she wants him to have it again?
Ashley says it’s not going to be cheap. She’s going to make him pay. She leaves the club, and passes Audra on the way out.
