This episode of The Young and The Restless airs Thursday, Dec 1, 2022. In this episode, Phyllis makes good on her promise to reveal Diane’s whereabouts to Jeremy Stark, Connor gets sent home from school for getting into a fight, and Daniel and Billy face-off over Lily. This recap’s episode airs one day early in Canada.
On the last episode of Y&R, Adam tries to convince Sally that they’re meant for each other, Nick and Victoria bicker about Nate, and Elena is invited to L.A. for a romantic getaway.
Society
Billy and Lily arrive at Society, and Billy asks how the conversation with Chelsea went. Lily says that Chelsea wanted to be transparent with her and that she wanted to make sure there was no misunderstanding.

He says to Lily that she should grab a seat, he wants to call Chelsea first to see if she’s OK. Lily doesn’t like that a bit.
She agrees to get a table, and walks into the restaurant, to see Daniel, Summer, and Phyllis enjoying a bite to eat together.

Daniel sees Lily and invites her to come sit down with them. She takes a seat with them.
Phyllis asks if the hotel is going to be affected by Newman Media’s change to their CEO. She asks if Billy is going to be leaving
From chancellor who heard it from Tucker. Lily says that there are some changes, but they’re stronger than ever.

Billy leaves another voicemail for Chelsea.
He comes to the table to see Lily sitting with Daniel, Phyllis, and Summer.

Phyllis says that she heard that Billy is leaving Chancellor-Winters. Lily says that Daniel has a great idea for the company, though.
Billy asks what the idea is, and Phyllis smirks and says that Billy can’t have access to that information, as he’s not part of Chancellor-Winters anymore.
Lily says that they have to keep things under wraps, as they don’t want any information leaks.

Phyllis and Summer leave, and Lily gets a phone call. She leaves the table to take the call, leaving Billy and Daniel alone together.
Daniel says that Billy hasn’t changed. Billy isn’t sure what to think about that. “What do you mean by that, exactly?”

Daniel says that he just means that he’s the same person that he’s always been, that his choice to leave Chancellor-Winters at a crucial time is how he’s always acted.
He says that he was surprised that Billy and Lily were an item.
Before Billy can react, Lily comes back to the table and asks what she missed.

Chelsea’s Apartment
Chelsea gets another call from Billy, and thinks about her conversation with Lily, how she’d said that it was better to have people to support her other than Billy.

Connor comes in, and looks troubled. Chelsea asks what’s wrong.
Connor says that he got into a fight at school, because he couldn’t let anyone get away with calling his mom crazy.

He says that a bully overheard Johnny and him talking about his mom, and jumped in and was being mean about her.
Chelsea says that the other boy was just trying to make him feel bad, to push his buttons.
Connor asks if his mom wants him to just let it slide.

Chelsea says that she’s sorry that he has to go through this, but everyone has weird family issues, and that’s what bullies take advantage of.
She says that he can talk to her about it if it makes him feel bad, or he can talk to a school counsellor or his father.

There’s a knock at the door. It’s Adam. Chelsea answers the door.
Billy sees Connor and says he didn’t realize school was out. Chelsea says they need to have a talk, as a family.

They discuss the bully, and then Chelsea says to Connor that he should go work on his homework, as she wants to talk to talk to Adam alone.
Connor takes his backpack and goes to do his homework.

Chelsea and Adam talk, and Adam asks if she just wants to leave everything alone and let Connor be bullied. Adam says that he thinks they should shield Connor from everything, but Chelsea disagrees.
She says that Connor needs to learn to defend himself, that it makes her sad that someone is using her as a weapon to attack her son.

She says that they have to be better, that if they fall apart, what chance does Connor have to get through this?
Adam says that he had a knee-jerk reaction, and apologizes. They hug, and Chelsea says she’s going to make Connor a snack.

Crimson Lights
Sharon is speaking with Adam, and she says that Adam seems to be making the Chelsea situation into a competition between him and Billy.

Adam says that Chelsea and he share a child, he’s trying to help Connor navigate a difficult situation.
Sharon says that she’s only on Chelsea’s side, not Billy or Adam’s. She says that Adam tends to blur the lines.

Adam says that Johnny is still a painful topic for Chelsea. Sharon says that Johnny had a good talk with her on Thanksgiving.
Adam says that Billy is taking a hands-off approach to Johnny, he wishes that he’d do the same with Chelsea.

Sharon says that the conversation with Johnny was Chelsea’s idea.
Billy says that he’s going to go talk to Chelsea to see what’s going on.
Abbott Mansion
Nikki shows up and tells Ashley how she had talked to Talia, the investigative reporter, and how Talia had said that unless they had any real proof, to not contact her again.
Ashley says she has worse news than that.. They’re losing Jack as their biggest ally.

Ashley tells Nikki how Jack had said that if she went to war with Diane, that she’d be going to war with Jack too.
Nikki asks if Ashley still wants to continue going after Diane. Ashley says she’s more determined than ever to drive her out of town, but they need to be more discreet about it.

Nikki says that Phyllis wants to contact Jeremy Stark, but Ashley says that he’s dangerous, and questions if that’s the best thing to do.
Ashley says that they don’t know what else he was involved in besides money laundering, and that Diane said that Jeremy could come after the entire Abbott family.

Nikki says that Diane is just being manipulative. Ashley says that she knows, she had to leave the Thanksgiving table because she couldn’t stand Diane infiltrating the family.
Nikki says she wouldn’t be surprised if Diane used Harrison and the rest of her family as a shield to protect herself.
She says that Jack will protect the family, and she feels that Ashley has given up.

Phyllis comes in, breathless, and says that she spoke to Stark anonymously, and told him that it was Diane that made a deal with the feds that landed him in prison.
Jabot
Jack tells Diane that he spoke with Ashley and that he laid down the law, that if she continued to attack Diane, that she’d have him to contend with.

Diane thanks him profusely for supporting her, and hugs him tightly.
At that moment, Kyle walks in and asks if he’s interrupting anything.

Diane says that she and Jack were discussing some disturbing news. She asks to speak to Kyle in Jack’s office alone.
In Jack’s office, she tells Kyle that Tucker wants to take over Jabot. Kyle’s not surprised.

Diane tells him that Tucker wanted her to access Jabot’s financials, but she never did it.
Jack agrees, and says that Tucker told Ashley about Jeremy Stark.
Diane says that Jeremy Stark has been released from prison, and he could be coming after her if he knows where she is.

Kyle asks if Jeremy could hurt her, and she says the he could, if he finds out that Diane ratted him out to the feds.
Jack says that he will do everything necessary to protect Diane, and Kyle agrees.
Diane says she’s so thankful to the both of them.

Kyle says that they need to let Ashley and Phyllis know that it isn’t a game. He leaves the office.
Diane thanks Jack again, and asks him out for lunch. Jack says, “How about dinner?”

In the lobby, Summer steps out of the elevator, and Kyle takes her aside. He says that the attacks on Diane are escalating, and he tells her that Phyllis and Ashley are at the center of it.

He tells her that Diane was responsible for Jeremy Stark’s incarceration, and Summer gets angry that he hadn’t told her this before.
Kyle says that he and Jack had been sworn to secrecy. He says that they need to stop Phyllis before she does something the whole family will regret.
