This episode of The Young and The Restless airs Thursday, December 15, 2022. In this episode, fireworks fly when Summer can’t take anymore of Phyllis’s crap, Michael tells Phyllis, “I told you so!”, and Nick and Sally get closer. This recap’s episode airs one day early in Canada.
On the last episode of Y&R, Phyllis admits to Jeremy Stark that she was the anonymous tipster, Lily and Traci talk about her future with Billy, Tucker romances Ashley, and Jack tells Phyllis off.
Society
Summer show up at the restaurant, and she looks over at Adam sitting at the bar. She sighs and goes to take a seat at a table.

Phyllis follows her in, and sits down at the table with her.
Summer says she’s just there to pick up take out, and Phyllis asks Summer if she’s being fired.

Summer says that she isn’t being fired… Yet. She says that Stark wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t for Phyllis interfering.
Summer asks if Phyllis doesn’t think that everyone deserves a second chance.
Phyllis laughs and says that Summer’s just taking Jack’s lead.

Summer says that her feelings about Diane have nothing to do with Jack.
A drink is delivered to Phyllis, who says she didn’t order it.
Adam says that if they want to have a private conversation, maybe they should keep their voices down.

Summer asks if Phyllis ever thought about how Harrison is feeling since she drove Diane out of town.
Phyllis laughs and says that Harrison doesn’t think much about Diane.

Summer says that he loves Diane, and really misses her, and that Kyle is missing her too.
Phyllis says that she told Jeremy that Diane has left, and that he should just leave town.
Summer accuses Phyllis of not caring about how she’s affected everyone else in the family.

She says that she’s spoken with Kyle, and they both agree… Phyllis’s employment at Marchetti will be terminated, effective immediately.
Phyllis laughs and says, “You’re firing me. Unbelievable.”
Summer says that Phyllis should be held accountable for her actions. Her food order arrives, and she gets up and leaves.

Sally comes into the restaurant to pick up her order, and sees Adam and Phyllis there.
She comes over to Adam, and he expresses surprise that she’d come to join him.

Sally says she’s there to pick up her takeout, and that they seem to run into each other where ever they go.
She says that Billy’s new position is hopefully working out for him. He laughs and says that it is.

Lauren and Michael come into the restaurant, and stop by Phyllis’s table to say hello.
Phyllis takes a drink and says that Lauren’s advice about Diane was completely wrong.
Michael says wryly that Phyllis just couldn’t wait to tear into Lauren.

Phyllis takes another drink and says that Jeremy Stark is in town now, and she’s been fired from Marchetti.
Michael tells Phyllis that he told her that problems would come up if she didn’t stop pursuing Diane.
Phyllis laughs and says, “All I get is you saying I told you so?”

Phyllis looks over at Adam, and says that he’s never at the office, she only sees him out drinking and having a good time, yet he doesn’t get fired. She says that she was just trying to protect her family, and look where it got her.
Sally tells Adam that she’s working hard on her interior design business, and she hopes to partner with Chancellor-Winters.

Adam says that her fierce optimism never fails to impress him, and he wishes her nothing but good fortune and success in her new venture.
Her food order comes, and she says that Nick and her have officially started to see each other, but they’re taking it slow.

Adam says that he hopes Nick brings her the happiness she deserves. He says not to take it slow on his account, and that he wishes them both well.
Sally comes over to see Phyllis, and says that Phyllis will have to watch her back, because she’s going to have some competition in the Interior Design business.

Phyllis looks confused, and Michael excuses himself and Lauren, joking that he’s going to order a bottle of scotch with two straws.

Phyllis stands there, looking a bit lost, and says, “Everyone’s lost their damn minds!”

Crimson Lights
“Oh Tannenbaum” plays in the background at the coffee shop.
Chelsea is having a hot drink while she talks with Sharon, who asks why Chelsea isn’t out playing with Connor outside. Chelsea looks uncomfortable, and Sharon asks why she looks like that.

Chelsea says it feels really strange being out in the “real” world after being in the hospital, even though it was only for a few days.
Chelsea says that Crimson Lights is one of the only places that she feels safe. She says she’s not ready to really go outside yet.

Sharon says that she should take it slowly, and Chelsea agrees, that she’s been speaking to her therapist about it.
Chelsea says that she’s been trying to make amends, and it’s been helping her, and she hopes that she’ll be able to make better choices going forward.

Sharon is really happy to hear that.
Victoria comes in, and Chelsea says to Sharon that she needs to finish making amends to people she’s wronged.
Victoria orders a coffee, and Chelsea asks her if she can talk with Victoria quickly.

Victoria is hesitant at first, but agrees to talk with Chelsea.
They head upstairs to Chelsea’s apartment to talk.
Noah and Allie come into the coffee shop, and Allie talks excitedly about some new extraction processes for fragrances at Jabot.

Sharon laughs and says she has no idea what she’s talking about, and Noah says he doesn’t either, but that’s why he knows she’s brilliant.
A phone call comes in from Mariah, and Allie takes it. Noah laughs and says that his sister won’t even call him.

Sharon says that she wants to speak with Noah before Allie comes back.
She says that Audra was there looking for him earlier.

Allie gets off the phone and overhears this. She doesn’t look happy about it.
Allie comes to the table, and says that she’s really impressed with Audra’s tenacity. Sharon, uncomfortable, excuses herself and says she has to take care of some patrons.
She asks Noah if there’s something going on that he hasn’t told her about Audra.

He says there isn’t, but Allie presses, and says that she thinks he’s holding something back.
He says that there is something that he needs to tell her. She says that whatever it is, she can handle it.
He tells her that Audra came to see him at the club, and he thought she just wanted to talk about their relationship.

He says that Audra made it very clear that Audra wanted to let him know that she really wanted him.
He says that she kissed him, and that he immediately pulled away.
Allie asks if he kissed her back. He says it happened really fast, and he doesn’t think so.
She asks if she needs to be worried.

Newman Enterprises
Nick and Nikki are talking in Victoria’s office, and Nikki tells Nick that she’s happy to watch her children grow up, except for Nick’s personal life.
Nick says that his personal life isn’t up for discussion.

Nikki says that Victor is worried that Sally’s influence will cause things to escalate between Nick and his brother, Adam.
Nikki asks if he’s read the dossier on Sally, and mentions that she faked a terminal illness. She asks if he wants to bring another Ashland Locke into the picture.

Nick says that Sally is determined to do the right thing.
Nikki says that Sally tried to ruin Summer’s life.
Nick says that he’s seen both sides, and has made peace with it. He says that who he decides to spend his time with is his own business.

Sally comes to the door, and sees Nikki and Nick arguing. She asks if she’s interrupting something.
Nikki leaves, and Sally asks Nick to take a look at her business plan, and share some of his expertise.
Nick looks Sally over, and says, “I like what I see… On the tablet.”

He gives her some advice about her business plan, and she says that it sounds great.
He asks her what the smile is for. She says he looks very sexy when he’s talking business.
He laughs and calls out, “Marge, hold my calls!”

They laugh and look into each other’s eyes. He says that he knows she’s a very busy person, but asks if she could somehow pencil him into her schedule.
Sally says that taking things slow is very new to her, and that she always felt like she was trying to outrun things with Adam.

Nick goes to kiss Sally, and she teases that she has to leave… She has an order to pick up at Society.
She leaves, and says she will pencil him in.
Chelsea’s Apartment
Victoria and Chelsea arrive at her apartment, and they sit down in the living room to talk.
Chelsea apologizes for trying to ruin Victoria’s marriage.

She apologizes for getting in between Victoria and Johnny, but she wanted to tell him so much about being his bio mom that she didn’t talk
Victoria thanks Chelsea, but says that she has reservations about her interactions with Johnny.

Chelsea says that her sole focus is to get better, and that she’s not going to do anything that will make either Victoria or Johnny uncomfortable.
She says that she was trying to fill a void inside of her, and tells Victoria that she thinks she’s doing a wonderful job of raising such a great child.
Victoria says that she’s glad that Chelsea wants the best for Johnny, because that’s all she wants too.
