This episode of The Young and The Restless airs Tuesday, November 29, 2022. In this episode, Chloe sees Chelsea in a heartwarming reunion, Devon and Abby almost kiss, and Chance asks for a divorce. This recap’s episode airs one day early in Canada.
On the last episode of Y&R, Ashley interrogates Tucker about his involvement with Diane, Daniel Romalotti has a plan for Chancellor-Winters, and Phyllis and Nikki speak with the investigative journalist.
Chelsea’s Apartment
Chelsea is sitting alone, folding clothes, when she begins remembering upsetting things that people had said to her.
Billy knocks on the door and enters, asking Chelsea if she’s OK. She seems upset, and says that it’s just laundry.

He mentions that he didn’t see her at Thanksgiving for dessert, and wanted to check on her.
She says she’s alright, she just needed some time with Connor.
Billy says that he’s there for her, and she can talk to him about anything.

Chelsea says that she just kept having painful thoughts come through.
Billy says that he’s no therapist, but that she’s probably reacting to her past experiences, and that she’s in self-preservation mode. Chelsea agrees.
He says that depression can really change your behaviors, and to not let the pain and the fear lead.
Chelsea says that’s easier said than done.

Billy reminds her that she’s building a relationship with Johnny, and she’s happy about that. She asks if he told Victoria that she was in the hospital, and why.
He says he did, and she took it well. Billy says that Chelsea can talk to him any time.
His phone pings, and it’s a message from Lily. Billy says that before he goes, that she needs to remember that Chloe needs to be a part of her recovery.

Chelsea texts Chloe, who shows up at the door. They hug, and Chloe asks how she ended up at the apartment.
Chelsea tells her how she got it, and then says that she was away in the hospital, and lets her know that it was due to depression.

Chloe says she feels guilty that she didn’t know. Chelsea says that she hid it from everyone, especially Chloe, as she feels that Chloe went through a lot more.
Chloe says that losing her daughter with Billy, Delia, was hard, but you can’t just compare pain.
Chelsea tells Chloe that she was suicidal, and needed to go to the hospital, and that Billy saved her life.

Chloe’s dumbstruck, and says that she couldn’t get through life without her best friend. She says that she’ll be there for Chelsea, and that she loves her like a sister.
Chelsea says that she plans to stick around for it.

Crimson Lights
Chance is sitting alone at a table, drinking coffee when Victor Newman walks in. Victor sits down, and without warning, says, “What did you do to my daughter?”

Chance says that his marriage is private, and that he doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it.
Victor says that he’ll just ask Devon then, since he saw them together at Society last night.
Chance says he’s glad she has some support, as their marriage is going through a difficult time. He says that Abby thought that he was putting work in front of their marriage.

Victor says he had no idea, and asks if Chance loves her. Chance says he does, but he thinks it’s best that they take time apart right now.
Victor asks what he’s not telling him.
Chance says that sometimes the best way for things to heal is to just leave them alone.

Victor reminds him that when he came back from Spain, Chance promised that family was everything, and worth fighting for. Victor gets up and says, “Don’t you forget it”. He leaves the coffee shop.

Newman Media – Nate’s Office
Nick comes to see Nate in his office. Nate reaches for Nick’s hand, but Nick doesn’t shake.
Nick skips the pleasantries and says that if it were up to him, Sally would still be the CEO of Newman Media.

Nate says that from what he’s seen, that he was very impressed with Sally, but Sally didn’t deserve to be let go, and that it was Victoria’s decision to do that.
Nick says that Nate was willing to sacrifice his family’s legacy, and his sister’s.
He says that everything that Nate did at Chancellor-Winters proves what type of person he is.

Nate says that he’ll just have to prove that he’s still a good person.
Nick says that the power of the position will go to his head, and he’d better watch out.
Nate says that he appreciates the warning, that all he wants is knowledge and to help others, not power. He says he got into medicine because he wanted to help people.

Nick says that he can get addicted to the rush of power, letting it consume you until you crash. He says that he can’t trust the man that Nate’s become.
Victoria walks in, and asks what’s up with those two. Nate says that he was just getting some pointers from Nick.
Nick leaves, and says he’ll see Victoria at the morning meeting.

Victoria tells Nate that people keep telling her what a great job Nate’s doing, and that people are really impressed with his work so far.

She asks him to accompany her to a meeting in L.A. next week. He says he wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Sally’s Suite
Chloe comes in and says that she has an idea for how to get their new fashion line started. Sally shuts her down, and says that she’s going to turn down Nick’s offer.

Chloe says she doesn’t understand.
Sally says that she doesn’t want to start a fashion line, and that she doesn’t want to get in the way of Chloe’s career goals.
Chloe says, “Are you breaking up with me?”

Sally says that’s up to her, but she wants to keep working with her while they break into a brand new field.
Sally asks if she’s on board. Chloe says that she can’t believe it, but she says yes.
Chloe says that she’s going to need all of Sally’s attention while they get their business plan together.

Devon’s Apartment
Abby is dropping off Dominic, and asks Devon if they should talk about how their lives are going off the rails.
Devon says that they should talk about their relationship.

Devon puts Dominic down for a nap, and asks Abby how things are with her.
She says that Chance doesn’t want to talk to her, and that he only sends messages through the nanny.

Devon says it’s understandable, but doesn’t think that Chance isn’t going to throw away their marriage.
He says that even if they don’t get back together, they’ll still be able to co-parent, and that they’ll still have a good relationship.

He says that even though they did what they did, they can’t let it ruin their friendship, or their relationship with their son.
Devon wonders if it was just a matter of time that he and Amanda would split up, that sometimes, things are just inevitable.

Abby says that maybe they’re just making excuses so they don’t feel so guilty about what they did. She says that if they hadn’t slept together, maybe they could have fixed the problems in their relationships.
Devon says that he regrets making anyone feel bad, but he doesn’t regret what happened between them.

They almost kiss again, but they’re interrupted by the baby monitor as Dominic cries.
Glam Club
Billy meets with Lily at the club, and says that he’s sorry that he’s late, he was checking on Chelsea.
Lily says that now he’s there, there’s something she needs… Him.
He says that he’s there for her, and she says that she’s not sure if he really is.

Billy checks his phone while Lily is talking, and Lily says, “Is that something with Chelsea?” He says it is, that she had called Chloe, and just wanted to let him know.
Lily says that he left Chancellor-Winters to find himself, but it looks like he’s not finding himself.. He’s not taking responsibility for anything except throwing himself into Chelsea’s life.
Billy says that he knows how Chelsea is feeling, and Lily asks how Chelsea is supposed to get any support if Billy’s always there.
She says that Chelsea has Sharon, an actual therapist, and her other friends to support her. She says that Billy’s using Chelsea’s traumatic experience to run away from her and the company.

Billy says that he can’t believe how judgemental Lily is being. He says that she’s not being truthful about how she feels about him leaving the company.
Lily asks if he’s really trying to turn her into the villain.
He says that maybe Lily’s the one with the savior complex, and if he doesn’t need saving, where does that leave her?
Society
Chance meets Abby at Society, and says he had a very interesting conversation with Victor.

He says that he’s realized that it would be a monumental mistake to drag things out further, and that they should move forward with a divorce immediately.
