Today’s Young and the Restless recap airs in the USA on Monday, April 15, 2024, and airs one day ahead in Canada. We post our Y&R recaps every weekday!
Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Victor and Nikki celebrated their 40th anniversary as Jordan plotted her next move.
Society
Phyllis and her son Daniel are having a meal together. Phyllis asks what Lily said and tells him not to leave out any details.
Daniel says that, at first, he tried to reason with Lily.
Phyllis scoffs and figures that must have gone over really well.
Daniel says he told Lily that he knows OmegaSphere was owned by Chancellor-Winters, but he told her that he thought it would be fair if he took back Princess Louisa and some other games that he developed.
Phyllis figures Lily wouldn’t budge on it.
Daniel shakes his head… She wouldn’t, and that’s when he told her that he’d be filing a lawsuit to get it all back.
Phyllis is proud that Daniel stood his ground and didn’t waffle on the decision.
Daniel says it’s sad that it had to come to this.
Phyllis says it’s sad, all right… Sad for Lily that Daniel stood his ground and followed his heart. Phyllis tells him he has her full support.
Daniel thanks her… He appreciates it, and so will Heather. He warns his mom that things will probably get “ugly” between him and Chancellor-Winters when it all shakes out, and Phyllis still works at Chancellor-Winters, which means that some of the fallout may fall on her.
Daniel’s Apartment
Christine asks Danny where Lucy and Daniel are.
Danny says Lucy is at a sleepover, and Daniel is out for the evening; they have the entire place to themselves! He kisses her and says that tomorrow is the big day, so he’s created an itinerary for their trip.
They sit down on the sofa, and Christine tells him she wants to talk to him first about something.
Danny doesn’t want to wait. He says he wants to show her the list of things they’ll do… He could have been a travel agent if his music career hadn’t taken off! He says they’ll go to so many restaurants and sights… It’s going to be so exciting!
Christine tells him she hates the thought of letting him down.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Victor approaches Nick at the bar and asks him if he’s heard anything about Jordan.
Nick shakes his head. He’s been talking with security all night, and there’s been no sign of her. He speculates that Jordan might have gotten out of town on the train.
Victor says he doesn’t believe that for a minute.
Jack asks Nikki how she’s doing; he knows it’s a “dry” party.
Nikki says she’s holding up.
Jack smiles and says it was a wonderful celebration for her and Victor, but she should know that even an alcohol-free party can be a tough place to be for someone in recovery. He says he’s proud of her.
Nikki tells him not to be too proud… The party may be alcohol-free, but she isn’t.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle and Harrison enter the house. Kyle asks Harrison if he had a good time at the party.
Harrison says he did, but there wasn’t any cake.
Kyle figures they might have cake at the next party.
Harrison asks if his grandparents liked his present.
Kyle laughs and says they loved it; Nikki said she would put it in a place of honor! He says Traci and Aunt Ashley went to bed already, which means it’s time for Harrison to get ready for bed, too.
Harrison heads for the stairs and pats his pockets. He stops and says his lucky charm is gone; he had it in his pocket!
Kyle says they can look for it in the morning.
Harrison gets upset and says they have to find it now. He says he won’t be able to sleep without it… They have to find it!
The GCAC
Larry, the bodyguard, walks out the club door and looks around. He nods to Claire, indicating that it’s clear for her to leave.
Claire walks out, smiling.
Jordan is hidden in the shadows behind a decorative hedge. She watches as Claire leaves the club.
Society
Daniel tells his mom that she might not be affected by his firing because she’s brilliant at what she does, but there is a chance it could be.
Phyllis shrugs. Oh well. She says she loved her job, but only because she worked with her brilliant son… What’s the point if he’s not working there?
Daniel says the point would be to make a living, which she needs to do.
Phyllis says she can get a job anywhere. Does he expect her to keep working at Chancellor-Winters, where Devon and Lily will look over her shoulder the whole time? She says Daniel was the best thing that ever happened to the company, and she should go in and quit today in solidarity… In fact, she should get his entire team to walk out! OmegaSphere is amazing, and it’s Daniel’s… What better way to prove it?
Daniel’s Apartment
Danny asks Christine why she’s apologizing for ruining things.
Christine says she got a call yesterday from an old colleague who told her about a huge case. The accused asked specifically for Christine to represent them. She says normally, she’d explain that her practice is being suspended, but she’s known the person for a long time, and they’re in a bind.
Danny asks how long she’d be working the case.
Christine says it would be months.
Danny nods… So she won’t be able to go on the road with him.
Christine says she’s torn. Part of her wants to turn off her laptop and phone and take off with him; she’s been looking forward to this adventure with him, and she still is, but she’s an attorney, and when a once-in-a-lifetime case comes up, she can’t help but be pulled back in. She tells Danny what they have is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, too, and she doesn’t know what to do when the two collide.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Nikki tells Jack that she “freaked out” when Jordan’s associate bought her a drink, and she bought a bottle of vodka right afterward.
Jack asks why she didn’t call him first.
Nikki says she should have, but she didn’t think she’d be able to get through the anniversary celebration without it. She convinced herself that she could moderate how much she drank until after the party because she needed it… She was convinced that Jordan would show up and try something!
Jack asks why she’d think that.
Nikki says part of the reason for the party was to lure Jordan out of hiding. It was her idea, not Victor’s. She tells Jack she’s sick of running and tired of looking over her shoulder, so she thought she’d use the event to bring Jordan out into the open, but she was wrong… Jordan hasn’t shown up; at least, not yet.
Jack can’t believe she’s been fortifying herself with alcohol all night in the hope that “that psychopath” would catch up with her… That’s a bad plan.
Nikki realizes it’s a bad plan, but she says amid everything, something amazing happened.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle and Harrison walk back into the house. Kyle tells Harrison they’ve checked the car and the driveway, but the bunny isn’t there.
Harrison says the bunny’s name is Lucky-Bun, and he’s so stupid to lose him!
Kyle says he shouldn’t say that. He thinks it was probably left at the table where they were sitting in the jazz lounge. Does Harrison remember taking it out of his pocket there?
Harrison looks thoughtful. “Maybe.” He asks if they can go back and get the bunny.
Kyle says he has a better idea. He’ll call Summer and get her to bring Lucky-Bun.
Harrison gives him a big hug.
Kyle tells him to go upstairs and get ready for bed.
Harrison heads upstairs.
Kyle makes a call to Summer. She answers, and he tells her they think Harrison left his lucky bunny at the table they were sitting at… Can she take a look?
Summer looks around but doesn’t find it.
Kyle sighs and says Harrison is upset; he hopes the wait staff didn’t toss the charm. The doorbell rings, and Kyle tells Summer someone’s at the door; he’ll check in with her later. He disconnects the call and answers the door.
It’s Claire. She holds up the bunny charm and asks if they’re missing “someone.”
Society
Daniel tells Phyllis he appreciates her loyalty but doesn’t want her to lose her job over it.
Phyllis doesn’t want to work around Devon and Lily when she knows they stole her son’s life work. She’d rather live on the street!
Daniel asks if she’s going to quit.
Phyllis says she hasn’t figured out her next move, but she’s not someone who waits for something to fall into her lap—she makes her own opportunities!
Daniel laughs and says that tone sets off alarm bells in his head… She must already have something waiting in the wings.
Phyllis shrugs. Not necessarily!
Daniel says he knows her… What opportunities is she talking about?
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Adam apologizes to Sally for checking his phone. He says he doesn’t expect to hear from Connor at this hour, but it’s a reflex to check.
Sally says she knows it’s hard on him, but maybe, in this case, no news is good news.
Adam says he wishes he could believe that.
Sally says the clinic hasn’t called him to pick up Connor and take him home… Maybe they’re making progress, and the therapy is working.
Adam hopes so.
Sally says he’s going to make himself sick with worry. She asks what she can do to make things easier for him.

The Abbott Mansion
Kyle invites Claire in and says she’s the hero of the hour; Harrison will be relieved to see his lucky charm.
Claire says it’s not a big deal… She just happened to see Lucky-Bun on the seat.
Kyle laughs and says that’s the charm’s new name, but Claire didn’t have to bring it all the way over to the house! She could have called, and Kyle would have picked it up in the morning.
Claire says she couldn’t risk being jinxed with bad luck.
Kyle laughs and says she got him there… He’s never had a good luck charm, so he doesn’t know the rules.
Claire says lucky charms are important… They’re a friend, a protector, and something to count on, no matter what. She knows how important it is to Harrison, and she didn’t want her new little friend to go a single night without it; when her lucky charm was taken away from her, she didn’t sleep for a week.
Kyle says Claire had said she lost her lucky charm.
Claire says she lied.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Nikki tells Jack she had her flask in her purse, and whenever she felt anxious, she would slip away and take a shot.
Jack says she didn’t seem tipsy or drunk, and he’s pretty good at recognizing the signs.
Nikki says she was able to stop because she was surrounded by her family and friends who supported her. She was able to fight the urge to keep drinking because she didn’t want to let down the people who care about her… Especially Jack.
Jack says, more importantly, she didn’t want to let herself down.
Nikki says she felt strong, and for the first time, she feels like she can beat her alcoholism. It was like someone had opened a curtain and let the light back in; she didn’t need the alcohol. She had love all around her, and she felt free.
Victor wanders over. “Everything all right?”
Nikki tells Victor that everything is more than all right; it’s been a wonderful evening!
Jack says he was complimenting Nikki on facing down her urge to drink that evening.
Victor raises an eyebrow. Is that right?
Nikki says she had the urge to drink at first, but it passed.
Jack tells Victor it was thoughtful to have an alcohol-free party, and he thinks it helped Nikki.
Victor thanks him and says he’s proud of his wife.
Jack thanks them both and wishes them a “lovely evening.” He departs.
Society
Phyllis tells Daniel she doesn’t want to talk about herself anymore; she wants to talk about him. What plans does he have? If he wins the lawsuit, will he take his games and create another gaming company?
Daniel says he doesn’t know yet… He hasn’t thought that far ahead and is just taking things one day at a time.
Phyllis says it must be exhausting.
Daniel says talking to her is exhausting.
They laugh, and Phyllis says it’s exhausting standing up for what he believes in; he’s trying to save his family, and she understands how it is. She says he and Lily weren’t exactly a “great love story,” but he and Heather are a great love story; he should not have to pay for that!
Daniel begs her to talk about something else.
Phyllis asks what he’d like to talk about.
Daniel says he’d like to talk about his dad. He reminds Phyllis she’d told him about her friendship with Danny was a sign of bigger things to come, but it seems that nothing has come of it.
Phyllis says there’s nothing to tell; they took a step back and realized the timing wasn’t right, so they decided not to pursue things.
Daniel figures she had to admit that romance was never on the table with her and his father.
Daniel’s Apartment
Danny tells Christine that she has to make the choice herself… It’s her career, and he won’t do anything to stand in her way.
Christine says she’s not sure she even wants her career anymore.
Danny says she wouldn’t be questioning herself if she didn’t.
Christine says it’s about being wanted and knowing she’s the only one who can do the job. When she got the call…
Danny says he gets that feeling when he sells out a venue on tour, and he can’t judge her for wanting that feeling.
Christine says he gives her that feeling, too. She wants him, and it’s not about his singing or his image. They feel right when they’re together.
Danny says it’s because it is right. He won’t hold her back; they love what they do, making them the luckiest people he knows. He says her case won’t last forever, and his tour won’t either.
Christine says she knows, but she feels like it was meant to be between them, and this might be her last chance… How can she walk away from that?
The Abbott Mansion
Claire tells Kyle she lied about losing her lucky charm because she didn’t want Harrison to hear the real story.
Kyle gets it. He thanks her for wanting to protect Harrison, but he’s old enough to hear the real story if she wants to tell him.
Claire’s aunt Jordan always had to have control over everything. Claire didn’t realize that was partly because she was stolen as a baby, and Jordan had constructed her entire life as a lie.
Claire says she was just a kid and wanted to do kid things, so one day, she was playing in the backyard and found a white, crystal-looking stone in the grass. She hid it from Jordan, and she’d talk to it when she was alone and make wishes on it; she wished for friends, a real family, and a happy life. One day, Jordan caught her wishing on the stone and snatched it away. Jordan had told her that wishing was for fools and she couldn’t count on luck… She could only count on Jordan.
Kyle says he’s sorry to hear that… It must have been awful.
Claire says it was just her life. She says it’s getting late; she should get going.
Kyle asks her to stay.
Society
Phyllis asks Daniel why he brought up his father just to shoot the idea down.
Daniel says he knew that it meant something to her… She liked being around him and basked in his support, and having Danny Romalotti as a friend is like a stamp of approval… His father doesn’t hang out with people who suck.
Phyllis begs to differ.
Daniel says he’s there to listen if she wants to talk.
Phyllis says she doesn’t want to talk; she’s moved on. She reminds him she predicted that he and Heather would get back together, and she never said, “I told you so,” or asked for applause.
Daniel nods. She was right, and he was wrong. He suggests they have dessert.
Phyllis says she will say something for the last time and then move on. She says Danny and “The Bug” are together. Danny made his choice—a ridiculous choice—but Phyllis is moving on and won’t let it slow her down.
Daniel’s Apartment
Danny holds Christine’s hands and kisses them. He says he has an idea… She shouldn’t make any decisions right now; she should think about it and sleep on it, and they’ll decide on it tomorrow morning.
Christine doesn’t think that’ll make it easier. She tears up.
Danny says they need to enjoy every second they have together if it’s going to be their last night for a while.
Christine nods tearfully, and they kiss.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Sally tells Adam it’s inspiring to see Victor’s deep love for Nikki after all these years.
Adam says the Newmans love hard and profoundly.
They kiss, and Sally asks Adam if he’d like to go upstairs.
Adam smiles, and they leave.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle pours a drink for himself and Claire.
Claire says having adult conversations and being herself without Jordan monitoring her is still new to her.
Kyle says he doesn’t know how Claire survived Jordan.
Claire says she didn’t know any better; her whole life had revolved around Jordan’s needs and grudges. She went along with it because she was afraid of what would happen if she didn’t.
Kyle says she doesn’t have to be afraid anymore. She has friends, a family, and a new life.
Claire smiles and says she gets to make choices all by herself. It can be overwhelming sometimes, but she’s getting more used to finally being free every day.
Harrison walks down the stairs into the living room and says hello to his dad and Claire.
Kyle tells Harrison he’ll be happy to see what his new friend brought him.
Claire holds up Harrison’s “Lucky-Bun.”
Harrison cheers that she found him! He runs over and hugs Claire.
Sally’s GCAC Suite
Adam and Sally arrive in her room. Adam asks Sally where she sees herself in 40 years.
Sally says that’s a trick question… Is he trying to see if he’s still in the picture? She hopes he will be.
Adam says he thinks they could do 40 years together without a problem… Maybe even 50 or 60 years!
Sally thinks that’s ambitious.
Adam says he never wants it to end. They kiss tenderly and get undressed.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Phyllis sits down at the bar.
Nick walks up and asks how she got by security.
Phyllis asks if he’s going to give her a hard time, too.
Nick says the guards aren’t supposed to let anyone in who isn’t on the guest list.
Phyllis says that the guards were very good, but someone recognized Phyllis, and they said she could come in. She says she didn’t know there was a party since she wasn’t invited.
Nick is surprised Summer didn’t tell her it’s Victor and Nikki’s 40th anniversary.
Phyllis shakes her head and sends her congratulations to his parents; 40 years is incredible. She says Summer didn’t want to tell her because she’s not in her good books right now.
Nick says it’s not like Phyllis to feel sorry for herself… Is she fishing for a supportive comment from him?
Phyllis says she’s not, but if he wants to give her a supportive compliment, she’ll take it!
The Abbott Mansion
Claire tells Harrison there are a lot of different types of lucky charms. If he finds a penny on the street and picks it up, it’s a lucky penny, and if he looks really hard in the backyard, he might find a four-leaf clover, which are really good luck!
Harrison says he’s going to look for a four-leaf clover tomorrow. He’s excited.
Claire tells Harrison that people in India believe that elephants are good luck, but it might be hard to fit one in your pocket.
Harrison laughs.
Kyle tells Harrison it’s his bedtime now.
Harrison says Kyle promised him he could get a book; could Claire read it to him?
Claire says she couldn’t step on Kyle’s toes.
Kyle says it’s a good idea. He says they can go upstairs, and he’ll be along to say goodnight later.
Harrison thanks his dad. He takes Claire’s hand and leads her upstairs.
Kyle calls Summer and tells her that Claire found the bunny and brought it to the house.
Summer asks how Claire found it.
Kyle says Claire never said, but he’s relieved she did, and so is Harrison.
Summer asks if Claire is still at the house.
Kyle says Claire is upstairs reading a bedtime story to Harrison.
In Harrison’s bedroom, Claire and Harrison sit on the bed after they’ve chosen a book. Claire says it’s one of her favorite books.
Harrison says he has to go to the bathroom but will be right back. He heads out of the bedroom.
Claire looks around Harrison’s bedroom.
Jordan runs up behind Claire and forcefully holds a cloth over her mouth.
Claire collapses on the bed, unconscious.
Jordan looks around to see where Harrison has gone. She grins.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Summer enters the lounge and approaches her parents at the bar.
Phyllis says Summer is probably surprised to see her there since Summer must have wanted to save Phyllis the embarrassment of knowing she wasn’t invited.
Summer says she wasn’t aware she was supposed to tell Phyllis since it’s a Newman thing.
Nick figures Summer was worried that Phyllis would try to crash the party.
Phyllis says she was having a hard time for a while but pulled herself out of it. She says they should both know that things are about to “bust wide open” for her at Chancellor-Winters.
Nick asks what she’s up to.
Phyllis says he’ll find out when the dust settles; she has big plans!
Summer tells her to be careful.
Phyllis says she’s always careful.
Daniel’s Apartment
Christine and Danny snuggle on the couch. Christine tells Danny she’s so happy.
Danny says he’s happy, too.
Christine wonders what’s wrong with her… She can’t just enjoy what they have and let the rest go!
Danny says nothing is wrong with her; she just has to make a decision.
Christine worries her decision might keep them apart.
Danny reassures her that it won’t. They’re meant to be, so whatever decision she makes, it will be the right one.
They kiss.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Michael and Lauren tell Nikki and Victor they’re leaving, which means the party is officially over! They hug and leave the lounge.
Nick walks over and tells Victor that the party is winding down, so he’s going to leave. He just spoke with the security team, and they’ll stay until everyone has left, and the “follow-up car” is ready for whenever Victor and Nikki are ready to leave.
Victor asks if there was any sign of Jordan.
Nick shakes his head. None.
Victor thanks him for helping make it a special evening for them.
Nick says he loves them both; they deserve it. He gives them a hug and leaves.
Nikki tells Victor she was wrong; she thought Jordan wouldn’t be able to resist the party.
Victor says Jordan may not have spoiled their party, but he promises they’ll catch her.
Nikki nods. She knows, but it’s hard to think that Jordan is out there and coming up with ways to torment them.
Victor says she shouldn’t think about that. This evening is for them.
They kiss and embrace.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle runs down the stairs into the living room in a panic. He’s on the phone talking to the police. He tells them where he’s located and says they need to send someone right away.
Jack and Diane enter the house and hear Kyle on the phone. Jack asks what’s wrong.
Kyle tells them it’s Claire… He thinks she’s taken Harrison!
