Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Jack & Billy saw through Tucker’s plan, while Phyllis deceived Tucker and ran into Danny Romalotti.
Jabot Cosmetics
Diane asks Jack if the financial team has identified the account holder yet.
Jack says they haven’t.
Diane leaves for a meeting at the Athletic Club.
Billy tells Jack he can tell the financial team to quit looking into it… He’s pretty sure that his name will come up on the account that the money’s been transferred to.
Jack wonders what Tucker would have to gain from it.
Billy says that Tucker’s trying to throw them off their game and let them know that he can hit them at any time, with Phyllis doing his dirty work for him. She needs the money and must be working with him.
Jack says he knows all too well… So much for changing her life. He wonders why they’re only targeting Billy.
Crimson Lights
Audra enters the cafe through the main entrance as Tucker walks in through the patio. Tucker sees Audra and thinks back to a conversation they had where he said he had a “secret weapon”… Billy Abbott.
Tucker walks up to Audra, and grabs her by the shoulders, scaring her. He says hello to Esther.
Esther looks at him, unimpressed, and asks him what he’ll have to drink.
Tucker turns to Audra and gestures, indicating he’ll buy her a drink. She orders a double espresso, and Tucker asks for two. He says they need to talk and go out onto the patio. He asks what she and Nikki discussed after he left the restaurant.
Audra says they were talking about him. Nikki had warned her to stay as far away from Tucker as humanly possible.
Tucker grins.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Danny asks Phyllis if everything is alright.
Phyllis says she’s had a long day. She asks what Danny is doing in town.
Danny says he has some business and wanted to check in on Daniel and see how he’s doing.
Phyllis asks if Daniel knows he’s in town.
Danny says Daniel will be meeting him there. He briefly looks at Phyllis until she asks him what’s up. He says it’s strange seeing her in the flesh since the last time he was in the lounge, he watched her “die.”
Phyllis looks uncomfortable and says that Jeremy Stark coerced and threatened her and her family. The judge had mercy on her and didn’t send her to prison.
Danny says that Daniel’s kept him in the loop on it.
Phyllis grins and says she’s the town pariah… Just like the old days. Everyone stares and points fingers. She should be wearing a scarlet letter on her chest.
Danny says she’s playing the victim. He’s beyond angry with her… What she did was horrible, and she did it to people who cared for her. Stop complaining about what people think of her, and take some accountability for a change!
Phyllis says she’s trying to take accountability and has asked for forgiveness from everyone, and she wants Danny’s forgiveness as well… She’s trying to make amends.
Danny says it’s a nice speech… Prove it.
Phyllis asks what she has to do to prove herself to him.
Danny wonders why Phyllis cares about his forgiveness. They shared a life, and they have a son together, but their life together was a long time ago.
Phyllis says she cares what Danny thinks about her. She asks if Danny thinks she’s worthy of a second chance.
Daniel walks into the lounge and stands on the steps momentarily as his parents talk. He comes down and hugs his dad. He asks if there’s a family reunion going on.
Phyllis says they just ran into each other and were reminiscing about old times.
Danny corrects her. They discussed how Phyllis is a changed person who wants to make amends for her behavior, but she has to prove it this time.
Daniel asks Phyllis if she’s given any thought to his job offer.
Phyllis says she’s still thinking about it.
Danny says it’s like deja vu… He remembers Daniel offering Phyllis a position in Omega Sphere previously.
Phyllis says that position was worthy of her skills and talents, and now she doesn’t even know what she’d be doing. She figures she’d be under the microscope every day, seeing if she behaves.
Daniel says it doesn’t make the job any less legitimate or the paycheck any less real.
Danny thinks that taking the job might be Phyllis’s opportunity to show everyone she really has changed.
Crimson Lights
Tucker asks Audra if Nikki threatened to fire her.
Audra says Nikki never actually said it out loud.
Tucker argues it was implied and says it’s not a great career move to associate with him.
Audra says it’s definitely not.
Tucker smirks and asks if he’ll suffer the same fate as Kyle.
Audra says she never agreed to stop her friendship with Tucker. She clarified that she liked working with Nikki but was tired of her telling her how to live her private life.
Tucker thinks that’s great. He’s surprised Nikki didn’t fire her for that.
Audra thinks Nikki was impressed with her for standing her ground and offered to mentor her.
Tucker laughs and says that’s rich. He says he’d stay away from her mentorship. She wanted to flatter Audra, which would allow her to control her. He says Audra wouldn’t have to worry about staying away from Nikki if she jumped ship to join him at Jabot.
Jabot Cosmetics
Billy tells Jack he doesn’t know why Tucker’s coming after him, but it’s not going to stop with him… Tucker blames their entire family for his relationship with Ashley blowing up, and he wants blood.
Jack says Tucker isn’t looking inside Jabot for allies anymore. They need a solid line of defense.
Billy asks what happened with Jack’s meeting with Adam… Are they getting the information he has on Tucker?
Jack says he was so busy with Mamie coming to town and worrying about the money transfers that he forgot to check his email. He sits down and looks at his phone. He says Adam sent something to him this morning.
Billy asks if it’s good news.
Jack says it’s better than good news. It’s the motherlode!
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Phyllis, Danny, and Daniel take a seat at a table.
Daniel tells his mom he knows she’s used to high-profile jobs, but he doesn’t trust her yet with anything that could compromise his business.
Phyllis asks if he’s kidding… Does he think she’d deliberately try to sabotage his business?
Daniel says he’s sure she wouldn’t do it intentionally, but she can’t help but take a shortcut if she sees one, and he can’t afford her shortcuts right now.
Danny says they’ve been burned too many times by her and can’t take what she says at face value.
Phyllis gets it. Neither of them has seen her change yet, but in her defense, she’s been dealing with the fallout of everything Jeremy Stark put her through.
Daniel says he knows and understands. He asks what’s happening with it.
Phyllis says there’s good news… She found the account where Stark was hiding her money, which allowed her to pay back the insurance company.
Daniel says that was fast. It was only the other day that she had said she didn’t know what to do about it.
Phyllis says Michael got his team of investigators on it, and they were able to track down one of Stark’s offshore accounts. She’s free and clear now.
Daniel says he’s happy the weight’s been lifted off her shoulders.
Danny says there aren’t any more excuses. Time to do what she says she’s going to do!
Crimson Lights
Audra says she has to hand it to Tucker… He’s the only one who says he can take Jabot from the Abbotts and make it sound easy.
Tucker says it’s more than a belief… It’s a certainty.
Audra asks, “How so, evil genius?”
Tucker says she can mock him, but he’s as serious as a rattlesnake.
Audra says it was a compliment.
Tucker thanks her and motions her closer. He lowers his voice and says he’s made a plan to make it look like Billy Abbott’s been embezzling funds from Jabot.
Audra asks how he managed that.
Tucker says the details are boring.
Audra says Jack and Billy aren’t stupid… They’ll know right away that Tucker has to be behind it.
Tucker says that’s exactly what he wants them to think.

Jabot Cosmetics
Jack tells Billy that Tucker and Audra were involved in a cover-up at McCall that involved a singer and underaged girls.
Billy asks how bad it was.
Jack says they covered it up to save the company’s integrity, but the singer was still arrested.
Billy says that’s sleazy, even for Tucker. He asks if they know that Adam has evidence to back it up.
Jack says he does, but he’s not sure what it is.
Billy asks what Adam wants in exchange.
Jack says Adam doesn’t want anything.
Billy says Adam doesn’t do anything for free, especially when he says he’s doing someone a favor.
Jack insists Adam gave it away freely. Maybe it’s part of Adam’s “redemption.”
Billy doesn’t believe it. Nothing’s free when it comes to Adam.
Jack says that Adam only had one ask… Jack needs to return the favor in the future if Adam asks him.
Billy says he’s happy… He wants to see the look in Tucker’s eye when they tell him that they have the upper hand.
Jack agrees and tells Billy to take care of that, and to make sure that the money is transferred back to the Jabot accounts.
Billy says he was going to do it after they finished up. He asks Jack if he thinks Billy would really embezzle money from the family company.
Jack scoffs. “Billy, come on.”
Billy’s serious. He needs to know if Jack really believes that Tucker and Phyllis are behind the embezzlement, or if he wonders at all if it were Billy behind it.
Jack says he never thought that Billy would do anything like that. He wouldn’t put anything past Tucker or Phyllis. It has her name written all over it!
Billy says he’ll give Jack the honor of dealing with Phyllis.
Jack says Phyllis had other options… Had she shown she could be trusted, any number of people could have helped her, himself included.
Billy says some people feel comfortable staying on the dark side, and Tucker can exploit them, making them think his way is the only way out.
Jack says that’s why they have to stop Tucker immediately.
Crimson Lights
Tucker explains to Audra that he’s setting Billy up to look like he’s involved in financial crimes. It’s a smoke screen to cover what he’s really planning.
Audra asks him if that includes the “blind items” he’s planted in the gossip columns.
Tucker nods and says he’s trying to divert their attention.
Audra says he’s playing chess while they’re playing checkers. She asks what he has planned.
Tucker says it’s nothing special… It’s something they won’t ever see coming.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Phyllis tells Danny and Daniel she gets it… They’ve been through this before with her, and she always let them down. She feels like she’s on the right path this time and realizes how much she has to lose if she screws up again. She says if Nick and Sharon don’t offer her the position, she’ll take whatever job Daniel offers her, and she’ll do a great job and make him proud of her.
Daniel says that’s all he can ask for from her.
Danny’s not convinced, but if she follows through with it and proves herself, he’d be very proud of her.
Jack walks into the lounge and gives Phyllis a death glare.
Phyllis smiles uncomfortably.
Jack walks over and asks if he could have a word with her… Alone.
Danny and Daniel excuse themselves and head upstairs to the dining room. They ask Phyllis to join them afterward.
Phyllis agrees, saying that she has to talk business with Jack.
Jack sits down with Phyllis and says she probably knows why he’s there.
Phyllis says she has no idea.
Jack says he wants to talk about Tucker McCall.
Phyllis says she doesn’t want to talk about Tucker.
Jack says he knows Tucker convinced her to hack into Jabot’s financial system.
Phyllis says she has no idea what Jack is talking about.
Jack says that she moved money around to make Billy look bad.
Phyllis asks where he’s getting this information.
Jack asks why she did it… Why did she decide to come after the Abbotts? He asks if Tucker was offering her money to cover her legal bills and insurance expenses. He knows she did it, and can see it in her eyes. So much for turning her life around.
The GCAC Dining Room
Billy sits at the bar and takes a drink. He thinks back to the fights he had with Jack where he’d accused Jack of not trusting him and holding power over his head.
He thinks back to Tucker saying that Billy had thought about running Jabot and couldn’t get it out of his head. Billy had said that he’d do whatever it takes to make things balanced again at Jabot. Tucker had said that Billy would have to take on Diane by himself.
Billy remembers talking with Diane, telling her that she wouldn’t be satisfied with her role and wanted more power, and he was the only one who would do anything to defend the company.
Diane walks up to the bar and interrupts Billy’s reverie. She asks if Billy and Jack came up with a plan to deal with Tucker.
Billy says she can ask Jack for details on it.
Diane says Billy still doesn’t trust her, even though he says he does.
Billy says he’s given her the benefit of the doubt. What else can he do?
Diane says Billy could have gone along with Tucker’s plan to take over Jabot.
Billy says that was their plan, and he admitted to her and Jack that he had the impulse to run Jabot for a split second.
Diane asks how close he came.
Crimson Lights
Audra asks Tucker why revenge is so important to him.
Tucker says the Abbotts convinced Ashley to pull the plug on their future. He sold everything he had to be with her, so as far as he’s concerned, the Abbotts cost him McCall, and he thinks it’s fitting he takes everything near and dear to them.
Audra says it’s purely vindictive, then. She asks if he really wants Jabot or whether it’s a trophy.
Tucker says he lost something valuable and precious to him; now it’s their turn.
Audra thinks the retribution against the Abbotts comes from a place of pain and denial.
Tucker asks if she’s his psychoanalyst now.
Audra says Tucker needs to ask himself what he’d do if Ashley came back to him and told him that she made a mistake and their plans are back on… What would he do? She thinks he’d abandon his plan against the Abbotts and fly off with her without a second thought.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Jack asks Phyllis how long it took her to throw away all her good intentions that she spoke about and hitch her wagon to Tucker McCall. A day? An hour?
Phyllis says she doesn’t have to listen to him.
Jack says he needs answers.
Phyllis says she won’t give him any. He doesn’t know what it’s like to walk around town and deal with the condescending looks she gets. She’s tired of it. Jack and everyone else in town can go straight to hell.
The GCAC Dining Room
Daniel asks his father what he thinks is going on between Jack and Phyllis.
Danny says it’s probably a fresh wound… Or an old one. It’s hard to keep track of all the bridges Phyllis has burned. He asks how Daniel’s doing.
Daniel says he’s doing really good. Work is great, and his relationship with Lily is in a good place. He’s enjoying life.
Danny says he’s glad to hear it.
Daniel says the only conflict in his life right now is Phyllis. He wants to believe her this time.
Danny says he wants to believe her too, but it’s a leap of blind faith.
Billy tells Diane that he realized what was happening with him, and he stopped himself.
Diane says she’s asking because Billy shared Ashley’s concerns about her. He thought that Diane was getting too much power at Jabot.
Billy says he was worried about that in the beginning, but he’s fine now with the way things are.
Diane says it’s not really a ringing endorsement.
Billy says he’s not sure what else she wants him to say.
Diane says he should just admit that he sees himself as being the most rational one and that he deserves the top spot at Jabot.
Billy says he’s not looking to take over his brother’s job, just like he hopes she’s not looking to take his job. He says there are worse threats to deal with right now.
Crimson Lights
Tucker tells Audra he hates to blow holes in her theory, but she couldn’t be more wrong.
Audra asks if he’d still go after Jabot even if Ashley did come back.
Tucker absolutely would because he can’t trust or believe Ashley anymore. You can’t undo that type of betrayal. She showed him who she really was in Paris, and everything that came before that was just a game to pull him back into her life. She pulled a bait-and-switch on him.
Audra doubts Ashley had planned anything like that.
Tucker says Ashley played him, and she put a knife through his heart when his defenses were down.
Audra wonders why Ashley would do that.
Tucker figures it’s old resentments that Ashley couldn’t let go of. It doesn’t matter now; it’s done.
Audra thinks he’s wrong.
Tucker asks why Audra seems to be on Ashley’s side.
Audra says she knows what someone looks like when they’re in love, and Ashley was in love with Tucker, whether he wants to believe it or not. She says that Ashley did fall in love with him, but she found it harder to break away from her family than she thought.
Tucker says Audra’s missed her calling. Sadly, therapists don’t make the kind of money she’d be interested in.
Audra says she knows what she saw.
Tucker says it couldn’t be from personal experience.
Audra says she’s never been in love that way. She thought she was, but… No.
Tucker says love is overrated.
Audra says at least Tucker’s been there, and she thinks he still is in love with Ashley. If he gave himself permission to go back, he’d give her another chance and call off this attack on the Abbotts.
Tucker says he wants to be perfectly clear… There’s nothing that will stop him from dismantling the Abbotts and taking everything they hold dear.
The GCAC Dining Room
Daniel asks his father how long he’ll be in town.
Danny says he’s got a couple of months off for the tour and thought he’d stick around for a bit. He says he’s also working on some music for Omega Sphere that Daniel will really like.
Daniel says he’s sure he will like it. He asks if there’s any other reason that Danny came back to town.
Danny says he was hoping to see Christine. They reached a good place when he was there last, and he wanted to follow up on it… But she’s not returning any of his texts.
Daniel says that Christine is in Lisbon with Paul. They’re trying to work things out between them.
Danny is surprised and looks sad for a moment.
Daniel says he doesn’t know the details; he heard it third-party from Heather.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Phyllis asks Jack if he thinks Phyllis likes what she put her daughter through. She says Summer is going through hell because of what she and Diane did.
Diane steps into the lounge and walks up to their table.
Jack says it doesn’t explain what Phyllis is cooking up with Tucker.
Phyllis says she’s not doing anything, and Jack needs to trust that. She’s not trying to sabotage Jack or Billy. She despises Tucker, and wonders what she has to say to get Jack to believe her.
Jack says that if Phyllis won’t tell him the truth, she should help him find out what Tucker is up to. He asks her to hack into Tucker’s computer systems, and maybe Jack will believe she’s sincere about her desire to make amends.
Phyllis smiles at Diane and Jack and takes a drink of her martini.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker enters his suite and takes off his jacket. There’s a knock at the door. He answers it and sees Billy.
Billy tells Tucker he knows what he’s up to and warns him to back off.
Tucker asks him if he’s drunk.
Billy says Tucker tried to make him look like he was embezzling, but Tucker’s lost his finesse.
Tucker grins and says it’s fantastic.
Billy says they’re going to go down memory lane back to a time when Tucker and Audra were running McCall, and there was an artist who had a thing for underage girls.
Tucker grins.
Billy says Tucker must have figured he’d covered his tracks and got rid of all the emails between him and Audra… But now, Billy has those emails, and will use them to “crush” Tucker unless he backs off.

Nikki interviews Claire Grace for a position at Newman Media.
Jack tells Billy that if Tucker backs off, they won’t need Phyllis’s services… Otherwise, she’s just the weapon they need.
Tucker tells Adam that they’re enemies now.
Jill tells Devon, Abby, Victoria, Nate, and Mamie that there’s something going on, and she wants to know what the hell it is.
