On the last episode of Y&R, Adam received a shock from Sally, and Audra confronted Nate about his relationship with Victoria.
The Abbot Mansion
Summer comes home to find an ice bucket with champagne in it. She looks around, wondering what’s going on.
Kyle comes into the living room smiling and carrying a rose.
Summer asks what is happening, and Kyle asks her to join him for lunch.
Kyle gives her the rose, and says he knows he’s still in the doghouse.
Summer says that she doesn’t have much time, she just came home to pick something up.
Kyle asks her to stay, she needs to eat lunch anyhow.
Summer says that he really went overboard with Victor and she won’t forgive him right away.
Kyle explains that he won’t stop trying to apologize.
Summer smiles and asks what’s for lunch. She says she appreciates the sparkling wine.
Kyle’s phone pings with a text message. Summer asks who it is.
He looks at his phone and sighs. It’s Victor, and he lets Summer know that her grandfather is texting him and wants him to call.
Summer says that if he lets him in, he’ll never leave. She compares Victor to a vampire who won’t go away once you invite him in.
Kyle asks if she considered that he used Victor too.
Summer says that Victor has another job for him, and asks what is Kyle going to tell him. She wonders if he can say no to Victor Newman.

Sally’s Hotel Room
Sally and Nick are cuddling on her bed. Nick asks Sally what happened when she told Adam about her pregnancy.
Sally tells Nick that Adam was stunned and talked about how he wanted them to get back together, but she told him that wasn’t going to happen.
She explains that she wanted Adam to be part of the baby’s life.
Nick says that Adam’s more of a loner, he doesn’t have a support system like she does.
Sally says that they’ll have to see what happens when Adam gets over the shock.
She asks how Nick is feeling about the baby being Adam’s. She says that she’s been so self-absorbed lately that’s she’s been neglecting Nick’s feelings.
Nick says he’ll be fine, but Sally isn’t so sure.
Nick says that he’s not thinking or being worried about himself, that he’s there for Sally.
Sally says that shoving his feelings down isn’t good for him.
Nick says that he doesn’t want to hurt her feelings by anything he says.
Sally says that she can take it, she just wants to know how he feels.
Nick says he’s devastated by the news, he really wanted to be the father.
Nick stares out the window and Sally comforts him.
He says that he was getting really excited at the prospect of starting a family with Sally, but then his dream was shattered.
Nick says that he won’t ever be able to trust Adam, and says that he’s worried about their relationship’s future. He says he wants to protect Sally from everything that Adam will throw at them.
Sally sits down beside Nick on the bed and says that Adam won’t get under her skin.
Nick says she can’t promise that.
Sally says that as long as Nick and her are on the same page, Adam will have zero influence on their relationship.
Nick says whatever she thinks best is what he’ll do.
Crimson Lights
Billy overhears Chelsea talking with Adam. She says that she meant what she said, that Adam deserves happiness.
Chelsea asks if it has something to do with Sally, as she called him.
Adam defers, and Chelsea pushes him to talk about it.
He asks her to walk with him.
Chelsea says that she will, but she has to talk to Billy. She goes over and tells Billy that she’s got to speak to Adam about something.
Billy is fine with that, and they say they’ll talk later. Chelsea heads out with Adam to talk.
Jabot Cosmetics
Jack is in his office at Jabot going through some paperwork, when Billy comes into his office.
Billy gives Jack a coffee and tells him that he’d give it to his co-CEO, but he doesn’t have one anymore.
Jack says he’s too busy for Billy’s jokes right now.
Billy laughs and says that he should be the new co-CEO.
Jack says that if Billy wants the co-CEO position, he would hire him for it.
Billy tells Jack that he shouldn’t be joking around, he didn’t do so well the last time he tried to run Jabot.
Jack says that he’s an Abbott, the business belongs to the both of them. He says that Billy is an asset, and he’d be grateful to give it another try.
Billy says that Jack knows how he crashes and burns, and hiring him would be a disaster.
Jack says that he believes in Billy, and the best is yet to be come.
Chancellor Park
Chelsea and Adam go to the park to talk.
Adam tells Chelsea that Sally told him that she was pregnant.
Chelsea is shocked, and says she didn’t know that things were that serious between Nick and Sally.
Adam says that Nick isn’t the father… He is.
Chelsea asks how he’s taking the news.
Adam says that he’s ok with it, but wishes that he and Sally could be together. He says that Nick is so entitled, and that he’s really upset about it.
He says that Nick’s raising Christian, which Adam “stupidly agreed to”.
Chelsea says that Adam needs to accept that he let Nick raise Christian.
She says that Christian and Johnny are being raised by people who really love them.
Adam scoffs and says that he knows they’re being raised in good homes.
Chelsea says she has to leave to see Dr. Malone, but Adam has to accept what’s happening with Sally.
Adam says he’s having a really hard time with that, as he really loves Sally.
Chelsea says that Adam is a superhero as a dad, and that Connor is going to love having a sibling.
Adam snorts and says that it’s going to be some family.
Chelsea says that Dr. Malone says that a person needs to learn to live in the grey area, as life isn’t always black and white.
She asks if he can do that, and he says that he doesn’t have much of a choice.
They hug.
Left alone in the park, Adam looks pained as he remembers the last time he and Sally were together, and how she told him that it was over.
He remembers that she told him that he was a loving man and a spectacular father, and that it was time for them to move on.
Society
Jack and Billy are in the restaurant sitting at a table with drinks in front of them, preparing to order lunch.
Billy asks why Jack was under such stress when he came into the office.
Jack says that Jeremy Stark is back, which is getting under his skin.
He recounts that Jeremy was taunting him and Diane the other day, and he’s let him get under his skin. He says that he and Diane are back together, and she’s moved in.
Billy toasts Jack, and says congratulations.
Jack says that this may be the first good response that he’s got about Diane. He asks what’s on Billy’s mind, as he rarely sees him, and wonders why he dropped by.
Billy says he’s having feelings for someone since he left Lily.
Jack asks who he’s having feelings for.
Billy says that he’s got feelings for Chelsea.
Jack looks surprised.
Billy says it’s a complicated situation.
Jack says that Billy and Chelsea have a long and complicated history together.
Billy says that it’s similar to Jack and Diane’s tumultuous history, but that’s not why they’re both hesitant to move forward with a relationship.
Jack asks why Billy is taking things so slowly.
Billy says that Chelsea went through a hard time and almost took her own life, but he found her and helped her.
Jack is aghast, and says he’s happy that she’s gotten past that hard part of her life.
Billy says that he’s trying to tread lightly because of it, and he just wants to make sure she’s ok.
Jack says it’s the opposite of crash & burn, and it lets him see Billy in a new light. He says that Billy obviously wants to take it slow, and says that he’s doing the right thing.
He tells Billy to follow his heart.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle calls Victor and tells him that Summer and Jack are furious with him, and he doesn’t want to disappoint them again.
Victor says they were successful, and the end justified the means.
Kyle says that he doesn’t want to lie to Summer again, and whatever Victor wants, he can’t help him.
Kyle talks for a minute or two with Victor, and after he’s off the phone, he tells Summer that Victor thinks that his devotion to his family is admirable.
He says that Victor is transferring the textile mills to him, so everything worked out in the end.
Summer thanks Kyle for standing up to her grandfather, but it doesn’t make everything better.
Kyle asks if they can put it behind them.
Summer says that he can’t ever lie to her again like that.
He says he never will, and they kiss.
Society
Billy thanks Jack for lunch, and his phone pings with a text message. It’s Chelsea, and she wants to meet with him.
Jack says that he should go with his heart and meet with her.
He tells Billy to test the waters, and he really wants Billy to try again at Jabot.
Billy says he’ll give it serious consideration, and they shake hands. Billy leaves Jack at the restaurant, who looks pleased with himself.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea meets with Billy in the coffee shop after she’d left Adam in the park.
She gives Billy a hot chocolate with a peppermint stick.
He says he’s all hot-chocolated out, but thanks her for it.
She apologizes that she had to leave him, but she was helping Adam.
He says that he had a long conversation with Jack, and that he got some advice from him.
He takes her hand, and tells her that he’s going to listen to Jack’s advice.
They smile at each other.
