On the last episode of Y&R, Nikki battled her personal demons and triumphed over Jordan in a climactic showdown.
Crimson Lights
Christine enters the coffee shop and greets Michael and Lauren.
Michael says Lauren filled him in on how things ended with Paul… He’s sorry to hear it.
Christine says it’s hard to accept that it’s over, but she’s starting to snap out of it, and she has a “dear old friend” helping her overcome it.
Michael asks if that dear old friend is Danny Romalotti.
Lauren figures it’s got to be more than friendship… The present that Christine got Danny means it must be more.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Danny walks into the dining room and approaches Daniel and Phyllis, joking that it’s nice to see his favorite son and his favorite mother. He sees the look on Phyllis’s face and asks if everything’s okay.
Phyllis says everything is not okay.
Daniel asks what the problem is.
Phyllis tells her son she’d like to speak to Danny alone.
Daniel is confused but says he has to get to work anyhow. He hopes things aren’t going to “get messy” between his mother and father.
Phyllis promises not to make a scene. She needs to have a conversation with his father that’s been a long time coming.
Daniel leaves the club.
Danny asks Phyllis what she’d like to talk about, and she tells him that she’d like to have this conversation in private.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane tells Kyle she’s found another article about Tucker. She reads the title to Kyle. It’s about how Tucker has been caught red-handed in a shameful coverup.
Kyle grins and reads another excerpt aloud. “Though the incident happened years ago, there’s no statute of limitations on deplorable behavior.” He says it’s time for the icing on the cake… Time to make the final blow.
Diane wonders if their plan may not be enough to stop Tucker for good.
Chancellor-Winters
Tucker enters the office and greets Devon. He asks if he can take Devon out for a bite… He’d like to discuss some things with him.
Devon tells him they can talk about it in the office. What’s it about?
Tucker says he wants to talk about the scandal and coverup at McCall. He says it’s been blown out of proportion. He says the artist was arrested and is serving his time.
Devon asks why Tucker didn’t stop the artist when he was on tour and his team knew about it. He says he could have prevented a lot of trauma by speaking out.
Tucker says he doesn’t condone what his team did. He didn’t expose his team, and he’s not proud of that.
Devon says Tucker shouldn’t be proud of anything he’s doing lately.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra sits on her couch, watching “Getting the Scoop With Clarence.”
Clarence reports that McCall knew about the underage sex scandal and did nothing about it. He says that Tucker’s not the only one in trouble for the cover-up.
Audra sighs and stops watching the report.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle tells his mom that she should trust the process.
Diane says Tucker never surrenders… They need to be ready when he comes after them.
Kyle says they have Tucker on the ropes now.
Diane figures they’ve ruined Tucker’s chances to run a successful perfume company. She says the stench of how he mismanaged McCall Unlimited is all over it now.
Kyle thinks it may be enough to make Tucker walk away, but they’re ready if it doesn’t.
Diane says the Glacade board will have lost faith in him… The company won’t last much longer. She says Kyle still needs to give Tucker one of their “stolen” products to launch… But will it be enough?
Kyle doesn’t think Tucker can come back from his credibility being destroyed.
Diane says Tucker will keep coming after them even if they destroy his business. She’s had enough of Tucker getting in the way of the Abbott family’s happiness!
Kyle reassures her they’ll take Tucker down.
Chancellor Winters
Tucker tells Devon he acknowledges his mistake. He says he guarantees that nothing like that will ever happen again.
Devon says Tucker can’t guarantee anything like that. He’s regretting letting Tucker see Dominic for Christmas since he’s learned about the cover-up.
Tucker hopes he doesn’t mean that. He says his business and personal lives are separate. He loves Dominic and Devon. He says they’re family, and something that happened years ago can’t change that.
Devon says Tucker’s wrong. Family is about trust, and Tucker has repeatedly proven to him that he can’t be trusted.
Crimson Lights
Lauren and Michael tell Christine to tell them everything that’s going on between her and Danny.
Christine laughs and says they’re right… She and Danny have been spending time together, and he loved his present.
Michael and Lauren laugh and clap their hands in excitement. Michael says he loves to see her smile like that after everything she’s been through.
Lauren tells her that when a door closes, another one opens… Christine just needs to kick that door down and go for it!
Daniel walks up and greets Christine, Lauren, and Michael.
Lauren asks how he’s enjoying his apartment. She figures he’s thrilled to have Lucy with him.
Daniel loves his place and having his daughter around.
Lauren asks how Danny is doing. She asks Daniel to call his father and see if he’ll come over to hang out.
Daniel laughs and says his dad is with Phyllis… She wanted to have a private conversation with him.
Michael asks if they should be worried.
Daniel’s Apartment
Phyllis and Danny arrive at Daniel’s apartment. Phyllis flirts with Danny.
Danny takes Phyllis’s coat and asks what’s on her mind.
Phyllis looks deep into his eyes and kisses him. He responds in kind.
Crimson Lights
Daniel says Michael must be more specific about his worries about his mother.
Michael says Phyllis often has an ulterior motive when she’s involved in things.
Christine wonders what could be so important that Phyllis would have to talk to Danny privately.
Daniel sighs and says he thinks his mother has some feelings for his dad… And he’s not the only one who’s noticed.
Christine rolls her eyes and says of course Phyllis wants Danny again.
Daniel says it’s like a weird competition between his mom and Christine, and he feels like a traitor talking about it.
Lauren says they know and love Phyllis, but they’re not saying anything she doesn’t deserve.
Christine figures it’s more about her than it is about Danny.
Lauren says Phyllis has always had a soft spot for Danny, but the timing is suspect this time.
Christine thanks Daniel for letting her know. She’s not surprised and figures Danny won’t be, either. She says Phyllis will do anything to undercut her happiness, and she’s probably making a move for Danny as they speak.
Daniel’s Apartment
Danny and Phyllis kiss. Danny asks what Phyllis is doing.
Phyllis says she’s doing what he wanted her to do. There’s something unexpected between them, but it makes sense… There’s a warmth between them, and it feels different. She knows he likes it, too.
Danny says their dynamic changed because they’re getting along with each other as parents and friends. He says it might seem like more because of their complicated and ugly past.
Phyllis thinks this is more than just friendship.
Danny says they can’t erase their past.
Phyllis says their history has melted away, and it’s just them now… Doesn’t he want it to be better between them?
Danny says he can see she’s changed, and he’s really proud of her.
Phyllis says Danny helped her change.
Danny says she doesn’t need him around to help him.
Phyllis says Danny inspires her… His music and the way he looks at her inspires her, too.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
There’s a knock at the door. Audra opens it and sees Kyle there. She begins to shut the door in his face, but he protests and says they need to talk.
Audra lets him in and asks what he wants. She says her whole life is hanging in the balance because of the scandal. Right now, everyone’s focused on Tucker, but she got a link from a gossip blog that insinuated that more people are involved in the scandal.
Kyle says she might not be affected as much as she thinks.
Audra says her name is on the emails. She knows Kyle got her name redacted but thinks a reporter will do some digging, and she’ll be exposed. She’s forever connected to this nightmare!
Kyle says he warned her about getting too close to Tucker.
Audra says he should have warned her that his family was about to drop a bombshell and blow up her life.
Kyle says he didn’t know his dad was going to do it.
Audra thinks Jack didn’t tell Kyle about it because he knew Kyle was colluding with Audra and Tucker.
Kyle says Jack doesn’t know about him working with Audra and Tucker. He says Jack and Billy planned the press release privately and didn’t tell him anything.
Audra doubts Jack and Billy are keeping Kyle out of the loop.
Kyle says it’s another sign that his dad doesn’t think he’s worthy of his attention. He says his father won’t let him in on the upper-level strategy at Jabot, and that’s why he’s sticking with Audra and Tucker. He asks if she’s talked to Tucker since the news broke; does Tucker have a plan?
Audra shakes her head in disbelief. She says Kyle didn’t come there out of concern for her; he came to pump her for more information.
Kyle says she’s being paranoid.
Audra thinks he’s gaslighting her. She tells him to get out; she has nothing more to say to him.
Kyle says she’s right… His dad did tell him what he and Billy were planning, but he didn’t warn Audra and Tucker because Tucker would have done something to stop them… And that would have tipped Jack off that Kyle was working with Tucker and Audra. It would have blown their whole plan!
Audra says Kyle was using her.
Kyle says she had an agenda of her own. She seduced him so he could tell her all of Jabot’s secrets. They were using each other!

Chancellor-Winters
Tucker says Devon is cutting him out of his life because of a mistake he made years ago.
Devon says it’s not the only thing that Tucker has done. He says Tucker lies and tells people he’s a changed man, but he’s the self-serving person he always was.
Tucker says he’s tried to prove that he’s changed.
Devon starts listing off Tucker’s plans. First, he tried to take over Chancellor-Winters, and when that failed, he went after Jabot. That plan didn’t work, so he married Ashley, which didn’t last, and then he threatened the Abbotts. Then, he lied about his involvement with Mamie.
Tucker says Devon is misinterpreting his intentions.
Devon says Tucker is misinterpreting his intelligence. He won’t buy whatever Tucker’s trying to sell him. He’s tired of wondering what Tucker is going to do next. He says this is the moment they should decide to have no contact or communication with each other.
Tucker says he’s sorry it’s come to this. He hopes they can talk further when Devon has calmed down a bit.
Devon shakes his head. He says he’s always going to feel like this. He’s done with thinking Tucker will change. He says he has work to do.
Tucker leaves the office.
Daniel’s Apartment
Danny tells Phyllis she’s smart, funny, and too gorgeous for words. He says anyone would feel a spark when she shines her light on them, but that’s not where he’s at right now. Whatever is going on between them isn’t going to end up the way she’s hoping.
Phyllis asks why he’s so negative. She says there’s something between them, and he knows it. She says there’s energy between them, and she hasn’t felt this way in a long time. She gets closer and closes her eyes, asking what he has to lose.
They kiss again, but Danny pulls away, conflicted, and then kisses her passionately.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley walks into the living room and says hello to Diane. She says she’s heard the news about Tucker, but she hasn’t heard from him since he came to the house to confront her and Jack. She asks if Diane has heard anything.
Diane says the story is so damaging and shameful… There’s no way Tucker could survive it.
Ashley says Tucker could be angry and strike back harder.
Diane says Kyle and Jack are ready for battle. They’re not going to back down.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle tells Audra that if he’d gotten in the way of Audra and Tucker’s plan, they would have thrown him under the bus in a heartbeat.
Audra says the Abbotts may have trashed her reputation, and he let it happen. She’s done hearing his excuses. She tears up and says that Kyle’s just as bad as her.
Kyle laughs and says she’s finally noticed.
Audra says he’s a selfish jerk.
Kyle says they’re alike; they want the same things, and if she’s smart, she’ll stick with him.
Tucker knocks at the door and calls out to Audra to open the door.
Kyle asks Audra if she will rat him out or will she play to win? He says they can play both sides and come out on top no matter who wins.
Audra dries her tears and opens the door.
Tucker comes in and sees Kyle. He smirks and says Kyle is their inside man… A guy who’d definitely warn them if some damaging information were about to be dropped on them. He can’t wait to hear what Kyle has to say.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane asks Ashley if she has regrets about what happened.
Ashley wonders what Diane is really asking. Is Diane wondering whether Ashley regrets destroying a man’s reputation, or is she asking how Ashley feels about her marriage breaking apart on her honeymoon?
Diane says she just wants to know if Ashley would do anything different if she had to do it all over again.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Kyle tells Tucker he didn’t betray him. He’s just there to work with Audra.
Tucker asks if the knife in his back has Kyle’s fingerprints on it.
Kyle says he didn’t know Jack was going to do a press release. He’s angry that they did it without telling him, and he’ll go where he’s wanted.
Tucker asks if he expects them to believe that.
Kyle says he was affected by it, and his plan to get the co-CEO seat may have gone up in smoke. He asks if they can talk about a counter-attack.
Tucker scoffs and says Kyle’s still playing games with them.
Kyle says he has what Tucker wants… Jabot’s new fragrance for a 2025 launch. He has the chem charts and the marketing plan. Whether Tucker appreciates it or not, Kyle came through for them. He asks if Tucker will move forward with it or lick his wounds while he waves a white flag of surrender.
Daniel’s Apartment
Danny breaks his kiss with Phyllis and says he has a lot to lose from this.
Phyllis asks him what he’s got to lose… Christine?
Danny says he doesn’t know what he has with Christine, but he knows they’re connecting.
Phyllis says Christine is ice cold… Why would Danny want to be involved with her again?
Danny says Phyllis doesn’t know Christine.
Phyllis says she knows Christine, and Danny will go back and forth with Christine, trying to fix problems they’ve had from years ago. She says it won’t work, but with Phyllis, it’s new and exciting.
Danny says they need to forget this happened and continue to grow their friendship. He’s grateful for where they are together.
Phyllis says he’s sweet. They can forget it happened.
There’s a knock at the door.
Phyllis hugs Danny and whispers in his ear. “You don’t know what you’re missing.”
Danny answers the door. It’s Christine.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley tells Diane that they’re being civil to one another, but she’s not going to talk about anything with her, including Tucker. They’re in-laws, not friends.
Diane says she was asking because she was wondering if she’d do anything differently with her relationship with Jack.
Ashley asks if there’s trouble in paradise.
Diane shakes her head. She says that, like Ashley and Tucker, she and Jack have a lot of battle scars from their past, and it’s a miracle they’re together. She couldn’t imagine losing their relationship; it would break her.
Ashley says she’s not weak and vulnerable, and that’s where they differ. She only cares that they’ve won and beaten Tucker at his own game, and he won’t be coming after Jabot anymore. She’ll be happy to be rid of him for good. She leaves the house.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Tucker tells Kyle he’s not one to surrender; he just hasn’t figured out what to do yet. He says the fallout may not be as bad as Jack hoped and asks Kyle to send him the information on the fragrance while he makes up his mind.
Kyle says they’ll do it the other way around; Tucker needs to decide what he wants to do, and then Kyle will decide whether he wants to share the formula. He leaves.
Audra asks Tucker if he means what he said; is he ready to fight, or is he just stalling? She asks if Jack and Ashley are going to win.
Daniel’s Apartment
Christine asks Phyllis what she’s doing there.
Phyllis says she was having a chat with Danny about old times.
Danny says they had a much-needed talk. He tells Phyllis he hopes it cleared things up for her.
Phyllis says it did, and she hopes it cleared things up for him, too. She thanks him for their talk and leaves.
Christine asks Danny why Phyllis seemed so pleased with herself.
Danny says Phyllis told him she wanted to pursue a relationship with him.
Christine says Daniel was right… Phyllis was making a move on him to undermine her!
Danny grins and says it’s all about Christine now.
Christine says she understands… Nobody could resist Danny’s charm, but it’s always a competition with Phyllis. She says Phyllis can’t stand anyone else being happy; especially Christine!
Danny says Phyllis isn’t the type to give in.
Christine asks if any part of Danny is interested in pursuing a relationship with Phyllis.
Crimson Lights
Michael says he’s feeling conflicted. It wouldn’t surprise him if Danny felt himself attracted to Phyllis.
Daniel says his dad would know it would be a mistake “of epic proportions.”
Lauren asks if he can be sure of that.
Daniel shrugs. He knows his mom and says if she goes down this path, it’ll end poorly for her. Maybe she’ll listen to Michael and Lauren instead. He asks them to talk his mother out of her plans for Danny. He leaves the coffee shop.
Lauren tells Michael that Phyllis seems to be digging herself a hole to fall into again.
Daniel’s Apartment
Danny tells Christine there’s too much bad history to ever fall in Phyllis’s trap again. He asks Christine to sit down with him.
Christine says they have history as well… Is that all that’s holding him back?
Danny says their history wasn’t all bad, but Phyllis isn’t an issue. He thinks what they have together is wonderful. He doesn’t want to mess it up… That’s what Phyllis would want!
They kiss passionately.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Phyllis walks down into the lounge and spies Tucker sitting at the bar. She sits beside him and says hello.
Tucker says they keep running into each other… It must mean something.
Phyllis says it means the town isn’t big enough for both of them.
Tucker nods. She might be right. He thinks Genoa City is a little too suffocating for him… Maybe it’s time for him to leave town.
Ashley walks down into the lounge and sees Tucker and Phyllis talking.
