Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Heather dropped a bomb on Christine, Phyllis backed Tucker into a corner, and Audra attempted to negotiate with Adam.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria and Nate walk into the office, where Nikki is waiting.
Nikki says she’d like to talk to Victoria, and Victoria says she’d like to do the same.
Nate gets an “urgent” message from Audra to meet at the club. He excuses himself and says he has some Newman Media business to discuss with Audra.
Victoria says that Nikki wasted no time in grilling Nate while she was away.
Phyllis’s GCAC Suite
Summer and her mother are sitting on the sofa talking.
Phyllis says that there won’t be any lies between them from now on.
Summer says she really wants that. She says that Carson and Tucker aren’t sitting right with her… What’s going on with Phyllis?
Phyllis says things are spinning out of control and she’s trying to get them both out of this mess. She says their freedom hinges on Tucker McCall.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Daniel and Tucker sit and the bar, where Tucker is telling Daniel that there are no secret plans between Tucker and Phyllis; they just share a dislike of Diane.
Tucker tells Daniel that his mom is showing growth and moving on with her life… Why isn’t Daniel?
Jabot Cosmetics
When Abby walks into his office, Jack is on the phone with Zelda, Traci’s agent. She waves to Jack and Jack ends the call. They hug.
Abby tells Jack she’s happy to hear he’s keeping in touch with Zelda and that he supports Traci. She wishes things could be the same with Ashley.
Abby is heartsick over the way things have escalated between Jack and Ashley. She tells Jack she wants him to fix things before Tucker and Ashley marry next week at the Chancellor Estate.
Jack can’t believe that Abby and Devon will host Tucker and Ashley’s “sham of a marriage” since Abby hated Tucker for so long.
Abby says that it only makes sense… Devon is Tucker’s son, and it’s Tucker’s mother’s house. She says she hated Tucker for how he hurt her mom, but Ashley is happy now and thinks Tucker has changed.
Jack says he wants Ashley to be happy, but Tucker hasn’t changed and won’t change. He says that Tucker is the force behind Ashley wanting to tear apart Jabot. He says he and Ashley always had love and respect for each other, but he’s scared for Ashley because Tucker has convinced her to shred her career and family.
Abby says she thinks Jack is wrong.
The GCAC
Daniel asks Tucker if he was in Phyllis’s suite talking about their mutual hatred of Diane.
Tucker says Daniel should just trust his mother and Tucker.
Daniel tells Tucker that he needs to stay away from Phyllis. He stands up and walks away.
Phyllis’s GCAC Suite
Phyllis tells Summer that Tucker found Carson, and she still needs Carson to clear her name.
Summer figures that Tucker is paying Carson for his testimony… What’s he getting out of it?
Phyllis tells Summer that she needs to get Jack to forgive her, and then Diane will somehow spin out.
Summer says she was willing to pay for Carson to pay for his testimony, but she’s changed her mind… It’s not a good idea.
Phyllis says that Carson saw everything through the window… Jeremy trying to kill Phyllis, and Phyllis defending herself.
Summer can’t believe it.
Phyllis says that Tucker has gone back on their agreement, and she’s now in direct contact with Carson.
Summer says her head is spinning from all the twists and turns in the story.
Phyllis says everything is ok.
Summer says she just got out from under an egomaniac, and she’s already going through two others… How can that be ok?
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra answers the door, and Nate walks in.
Nate says he had to give Victoria and Nikki an excuse about Newman Media.
Audra looks scared and says this needs to be kept in confidence, as her future hangs in the balance.
Newman Enterprises
Nikki tells Victoria she had an interesting lunch meeting with Nate. She’s known Nate for a while, and she’s impressed with his drive and accomplishments, but she and Victor have some questions.
Victoria asks what Nikki’s take is after she interrogated Nate.
Nikki says Nate was upfront about what he wanted and told her that he wanted Nikki’s job one day.
Victoria says Nate’s always been straight up about his intentions.
Nikki says she’ll keep an eye out so she doesn’t get stabbed in the back.
Victoria says that Nikki’s being ridiculous. Nate’s a strong leader.
Nikki says that Nate told her that he doesn’t love Victoria. She says, “Please tell me you’re not falling in love with him.”
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra tells Nate that the fate of Newman Media and her fate is on the line. She needs his help, but can’t expose what’s going on unless he agrees to secrecy.
Nate asks what Audra’s gotten herself into.
Audra says she inherited the mess from Tucker, and she’s in the line of fire.
Nate says it sounds like he could be affected by it too… And Audra won’t tell him what’s up? He tries to connect the dots.
Nate works through things and figures out that it has something to do with McCall coming on board, and wonders if Adam did something that would compromise Audra’s role in the company.
Jabot Cosmetics
Jack tells Abby that he knows how much she wants peace between him and Ashley, but their “so-called marriage” is moving ahead at warp speed. It’s breaking his heart that his sister is being manipulated by Tucker.
Abby says she doesn’t think Tucker is the problem… Ashley is leading the attack with her hatred for Diane. She’ll do anything to take Diane down, and Tucker is just along for the ride. She tells Jack that Tucker loves Ashley and would do anything for her.
Phyllis’s GCAC Suite
Summer asks her mom how she could involve Adam in all this… Why would she do that?
Phyllis shakes her head and says that oddly enough, Adam is doing her a favor.
Summer asks if Heather knows about any of this.
Phyllis says not to worry about Heather, she’ll deal with it.
Summer says that Phyllis went to extremes to prove her point about hatred with Diane… How is she supposed to trust anything she’s said since she came back from the dead?
Phyllis says that Summer doesn’t know what it’s like to face Summer and tell her the truth, knowing that Summer might not ever believe her again. She says she’s trying to make amends to Summer and her brother, and it’s hurting her to be rejected.
Summer says she thought she lost her mother; she’s not going to pity her now.
Phyllis says Summer is attacking her.
Summer says she’s not attacking her, she’s tried to forgive her for the damage she’s caused her. If Phyllis wants honesty, this is it.
Phyllis says she promises to find a way out of this.
Summer says that the way out is not by colluding with Tucker and Adam, but Phyllis loves the chaos, and doesn’t know how to exist without the drama in her life. She says that Phyllis doesn’t have ethics or shame, and is never going to change.
Summer leaves Phyllis’s room.

Jabot Cosmetics
Jack tells Abby he can only imagine what her grandfather would think of everything.
Abby says she’s sorry that her mom has gone off the deep end about Diane, but Tucker isn’t egging her on.
Jack says that he just doesn’t see that.
Abby says that he doesn’t see it because he’s in the middle of it. She says that maybe Jack should leave Diane at home because if Diane came to the wedding, it would only cause problems.
Jack tells Abby she’s putting him between a rock and a hard place.
Abby says she’s trying to be neutral, she wants to fix the bond between her mom and uncle.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria tells Nikki that she told Nate that she’s happy with their relationship the way it is.
Nikki asks Victoria again if she’s falling in love.
Victoria scoffs and says she’s not. She’s far too busy, and she has a bad track record.
Nikki says she’s known love in the past, and life is too short to give up on things.
Victoria says she has known love, but she can live without it. It leaves her time to focus on her kids, life, and work. She’s not anxious to rush into anything right now.
Victoria tells Nikki she’s made some poor choices and has lost herself on the way. She’s betrayed people she loved, and she’s been betrayed. She says she’s trusted and loved, and love isn’t an issue for her, because she won’t let it.
Nikki says Victoria needs to put the past aside and learn to love when the right man comes along.
Victoria goes to leave.
Nikki stops her and says that while Victoria is with Nate, she should feel free to look for real love. It’s too important to miss out on.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra tells Nate that there was a major issue with one of their artists while she worked with Tucker at McCall, and while the artist was on a multi-milliion dollar tour, the PR department found out that the singer was sleeping with underaged girls.
Nate asks if Tucker knew about the statutory rape.
Audra says he didn’t. Tucker wasn’t directly involved at the time. She says the PR department kept it under wraps until the tour was over.
She explains how the artist was arrested after the tour, but Tucker made her keep it quiet until then and got her to fire the PR team and erase everything that had to do with it.
Nate asks what went wrong.
Audra explains that some emails from her about it ended up in a junk email folder which was never cleaned out properly.
Nate figures out that Adam’s in control of the emails now.
Audra says that Adam is forcing her hand to convince Victor that merging Newman Media with McCall would be good business sense.
Nate says Adam’s obsessed with getting his hands on Newman Media.
Audra says that if Adam doesn’t get what he wants, he’ll go to the press and expose Audra and Tucker, and her career will be over.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria tells Nikki she’s not hiding from love, she wakes up excited every day, and she loves every single success. She’s put Ashland behind her, and she loves working with Nikki.
Nikki says they’re blessed to have such a loving family.
Victoria says that she feels she’s living her life as an adult with Nate. She says his attitude fuels her productivity, and she does enjoy time with him outside the office.
She says she’s content when she looks at her future, but she is an adult, and she needs to ask Nikki to back off when it comes to Nate.
Audra’s GCAC Suite
Audra tells Nate she can usually finesse the situation, but she doesn’t like being stuck between two people like Adam and Tucker.
Nate says they’ve got to work this through. He doesn’t think there’s anything to charge her with, since the artist was already arrested. He asks what proof Adam has.
Audra says he has the emails that shows knowledge of the coverup, and that she and Tucker were both aware of it and kept it quiet.
Nate says she might be unemployable for a bit.
Audra says she can’t be unemployed.
Nate says that men like Tucker never take the fall.
Audra says she’s pretty confident she can sell Victor on the idea of merging the two companies.
Nate says that Victor isn’t interested in merging the companies, and Victoria won’t want to either.
Audra says she knows… She needs Nate to convince Victoria that the merger would be a good business move.
Nate says he sees the big picture, but wonders why Audra doesn’t have a fallback plan, since this will degrade her position in the company.
Audra says she’s working on a different plan, but she can’t stall Tucker right now… There’s too much on the line to wait.
Jabot Cosmetics
Jack says he loves Abby and respects what she’s trying to do, and he’d love nothing more than to fix things between him and his sister, but he can’t.
He says he won’t turn his back on Diane. He’s waited his whole life for love like this, and Ashley just have to accept it, or there won’t be any peace.
Abby says she’s extending an olive branch… Her grandfather would want that. She asks if she can meet with Jack and Ashley, and together, the three of them can work it out.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Summer walks in and meets Daniel. She tells him that she needed to go for a walk and clear her head.
Daniel says things with their mom is “insane”.
Summer tells Daniel that she met with their mom and tries to convince her not to take the plea deal, and they ended up arguing about other things. She says that Phyllis is stubborn.
Daniel says that he thinks that Phyllis should spend time in prison instead of Summer.
Summer says that as bad at it is, she agrees.
Phyllis’s GCAC Suite
Phyllis picks up her phone and makes a call. She tells the other party that she needs to see them right away.
Jabot Cosmetics
Jack tells Abby that he doesn’t want her to be disappointed. He worries that he’s going to slam into a brick wall if he tries to work things out with Ashley.
Abby says they have to try… There’s too much on the line.
Jack sighs and says he’ll try for Abby’s sake.
Abby hugs him and texts her mom that she needs to see her. She thanks Jack and leaves the office.
Newman Enterprises
Nate knocks on the door, interrupting Nikki and Victoria.
Victoria asks Nate if everything’s handled with Newman Media.
Nate says they’re in a holding pattern. Is he interrupting anything?
Nikki says she’s done for the day and leaves.
Nate closes the door and asks if everything’s ok with Nikki.
Victoria says she’s fine. She asks about Audra.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Audra meets Tucker at the bar.
Tucker apologizes and says he took out his frustration on her, and she never deserved it. He asks if everything has been handled.
Audra says things are far from over.
Tucker says that’s not what he wanted to hear.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Summer and Daniel agree that it’s time to let go and move forward.
Summer tells Daniel that hopefully their mom will realize that she has to pay for what she’s done… And hopefully it won’t be at her and Daniel’s expense.
Crimson Lights
Phyllis and Heather sit down with Christine.
Phyllis tells Christine she’s ready to make a deal.
Heather says she needs to speak with her client in private. She apologizes for wasting Christine’s time.
Phyllis interrupts and says she’s taking the deal. She’ll plead guilty to avoid a trial; she needs to protect her daughter at all costs.
