delivery guy gives statement

On the last episode of Y&R, Victor offered the delivery driver a bribe, Devon dropped a bombshell, and Nikki started behaving erratically.

The Tack House at Newman Ranch

Nikki tells Victoria that they’ve established she’s not drinking and asks for Victoria to give her Claire’s cell phone number. After she contacts Jordan, she’ll tell Victor and let the police and their security people handle it. She promises she’ll be safe.

Victoria says it’s Jordan they’re talking about; how does Nikki plan to outsmart a psychopath?

Victoria talks to Nikki.
CBS

Nikki says Jordan is desperate and cornered; she’s the best chance they have, and she’ll have no choice but to hand over Claire and Harrison!

Cole isn’t sure things will go as planned.

Nikki tells Victoria that if she won’t give her Claire’s number, she’ll go to Kyle or Michael, but that’d tip everyone off and ruin the plan. She tells Victoria it’s up to her… Will she do what needs to be done?

Nikki talks with Victoria.
CBS

The Newman Ranch House

Jack tells Dave, the delivery man, that they’ve offered him money, and their family, including a little boy and a young girl, is at risk. He tells him to spill. What does he know?

Dave stammers but doesn’t say anything. He wants guarantees before he says anything.

Dave the delivery driver.
CBS

Victor tells him they can simply dispense of him if he won’t talk.

Kyle says he’s in no position to negotiate.

Dave says he’s afraid that if he talks, they’ll turn him in to the police as an accomplice.

Victor Newman leans in as he talks to Dave.
CBS

Jack asks if he is an accomplice.

Dave says he’s not an accomplice but isn’t sure he can trust them.

Jack says he has nothing to worry about.

Victor says they’re men of their word.

Jack Abbott talks to Dave.
CBS

Chancellor-Winters

Devon says there are two votes for Nate to join the board of directors and two against. He asks Lily what her vote is.

Lily says Nate joining the board wasn’t on the agenda, yet she’s supposed to be the deciding vote.

Lily Winters sits at her desk.
CBS

Devon says he’s sorry for springing it on her, but he thought it was important, and he thought Nate earned a spot on the board.

Lily says it’s an important issue… They should discuss it first.

Jill shakes her head. The vote is in process, and they need to proceed.

Jill Abbott is on a video screen.
CBS

Abby says Lily’s been dealing with a lot and reminds her she can abstain from the vote.

Lily says she’s not abstaining.

Jill says not to keep them in suspense, though it’s not exactly a nail-biter.

Lily looks at Abby.
CBS

Nate tells Lily he’s going to stay at the company even if he’s not voted onto the board, so she shouldn’t feel any pressure about that. They’re family either way, and he’s happy to be contributing to the company.

Lily says she’s glad he feels that way. She votes no.

Billy formally tallies the vote; Nate has not been voted onto the board.

Devon and Nate look somber.
CBS

Jill is surprised; she wasn’t expecting this.

Nate asks Lily if she has issues with his work.

Lily shakes her head. She says his work’s fine; she just doesn’t think he’s earned his place back on the board of directors. She says she’s sorry, but says they can revisit it in the future.

Lily talks to Nate.
CBS

Nate nods. He understands.

Jill says she’s with Lily on this decision, but once Nate puts in his time and the rest of them have gotten past “prior events,” she’d be happy to recommend they vote again for his place on the board.

Nate says he looks forward to proving himself. He excuses himself to get back to work and leaves the office.

Devon looks on as Nate leaves.
CBS

Lily hopes they can proceed with their actual agenda.

Devon asks if he can speak with her for a moment.

Lily asks if they can talk later since they’re behind schedule. They’re there to discuss Daniel Romalotti’s lawsuit.

Lily talks to Devon.
CBS

The Newman House

Dave says he’s not going to jail… He didn’t do anything! He already told the police everything he knows!

Dave holds his hands wide as he talks.
CBS

Victor asks him if this is really how he wants to play it.

Jack says they only care about getting their loved ones home safely. He says the woman who took them is a murderer and capable of anything. They’re offering him a chance to do the right thing!

Kyle tells Dave that his little boy is seven years old and is missing his bed, his friends, and his family. How can he remain silent?

Jack and Kyle Abbott talk to Dave.
CBS

The Tack House

Victoria asks Cole what he thinks about giving Claire’s number to Nikki.

Nikki tells them to talk about it… She’s going to step out for some air.

Nikki leaves to drink while Cole and Victoria talk.
CBS

Victoria tells her not to leave, but Nikki heads out the door. Victoria tells Cole that she’d never forgive herself if anything happened to her mom.

Cole understands. He says it’s only one phone call… They can always regroup after Nikki has contacted her. He thinks the authorities haven’t got any real leads yet, and Nikki’s plan takes the guesswork out of the equation, offering Jordan the only thing that might lure her out of hiding. He says Nikki’s plan might be their best shot at finding Harrison and Claire.

Victoria worries that Jordan might hurt Harrison or Claire.

Cole Howard.
CBS

Cole says Claire must be doing everything she can to protect Harrison and come back to their family.

Victoria asks how he can make her feel like everything is going to be okay, even though they’re in the middle of chaos.

Cole smiles.

Victoria Newman smiles at Cole.
CBS

Outside, Nikki puts her flask back in her pocket and heads back inside. She asks if they’ve made a decision yet.

Victoria sighs and sends Claire’s number to her mother. She tells her that she doesn’t have to do this.

Nikki calls the number, which goes straight to voicemail. She leaves a message saying that she knows Jordan kidnapped Claire and Harrison, but she knows that Jordan wants to punish her. She says they should do it… Once and for all!

Victoria listens as her mom makes a phone call.
CBS

Chancellor-Winters

Jill says that before they vote on the Daniel Romalotti matter, Lily needs to talk to them about it since it’s a very personal matter for her.

Lily says she stands by her decision to terminate Daniel and Heather, and of course there’s a personal element to it, but she thinks it’s what’s best for the company’s productivity.

Lily holds up her hands questioningly.
CBS

Jill says she wouldn’t hold it against her to want payback, but there are legal issues to be considered, and Lily’s decision must be professional, not emotional.

Lily hopes Jill isn’t implying that Lily put the company’s welfare at risk because her feelings were hurt. The attorneys said their contracts are ironclad; they own all the intellectual property related to OmgeaSphere… End of story!

Billy says it’s not a guaranteed win; their legal team told him that Heather is trying to exploit a loophole that would blow the whole thing up.

Billy Abbott talks to Lily.
CBS

Lily says the lawyers are confident Chancellor-Winters will win.

Billy says that may be so, but it’s not a good look for the company if Daniel and Heather continue to push the wrongful termination case ahead.

Jill thinks they should offer Daniel a payout equal to the value of the games he wants to take with him.

Jill talks to Lily.
CBS

Abby doesn’t think that’ll fly; Daniel may get offended by their offer and take a stronger stance against them. It’s not about the money for him; it’s about his connection to his daughter. Princess Louisa was named after Lucy; this is very personal for him.

Lily nods. She says they’ve already given Daniel a generous severance package, and she doesn’t think money is the answer.

Jill wonders if they should let him have the games he wants and they can all walk away.

Abby talks while Devon looks on.
CBS

Lily says Daniel created the games, but Chancellor-Winters funded the entire project. If they give the games back, they’ll have to start over from scratch. It’s a bad business decision, and she thinks it’s a mistake.

Jill asks Lily if she’s considered what the lawsuit will mean… It could get nasty, and Lily’s personal life will be dragged through the courts and splashed across the tabloids. Is she sure she wants to open herself up to that?

Lily says she has nothing to hide; Daniel and Heather should be the ones to be embarrassed about airing their dirty laundry.

Lily talks to Jill.
CBS

Billy tells Devon that he’s been quiet… Does he have anything to add?

Devon shakes his head. Everyone knows where he stands on this.

Jill says they should put it to a vote, then. She votes against going to court. She says she understands and respects Lily’s point of view, but she feels the company will suffer less if they let Daniel take his toys and go home. They’ll take the loss and move on, just like they have before.

Jill and Billy Abbott.
CBS

Billy agrees with his mother. He votes against following through with the lawsuit.

Lily says they own OmegaSphere and made it the success that it is. She votes to keep it.

Abby agrees with Lily. She votes to keep the games.

Billy asks Devon what his vote is… He’s the tiebreaker.

Abby holds Devon's shoulder.
CBS

The Newman House

Victor tells Dave that if he doesn’t make a decision, they’ll make the decision for him… But he promises he’ll be better off if he cooperates with them.

Dave says he had no idea what Jordan was planning… He had no idea she’d be snatching a kid!

Dave the delivery guy.
CBS

Kyle asks where Jordan approached him… Was she alone?

Dave says he was at a bar; Jordan sat next to him and, out of nowhere, started talking to him about his gambling debt.

Jack asks if that’s when Jordan offered him money.

Dave nods. He says Jordan told him she needed his truck for a few hours, and she’d give him $10,000… $5,000 up front and the rest afterward. She swore it’d never come back to him, and she’d make it look like the truck was stolen from the convenience store’s parking lot.

Kyle and Jack listen as Victor talks to Dave.
CBS

Jack can’t believe he’d just go along with it, not knowing what type of crimes she could be committing with it.

Dave says he was up to his eyeballs in debt… This was a way out.

Jack asks what happened after Jordan abandoned the truck… How’d he get the rest of his money?

Kyle yells for him to answer.

Dave the delivery guy.
CBS

The Tack House

Nikki continues leaving a voicemail on Claire’s phone. She says she’s giving Jordan the opportunity of a lifetime… Let Harrison and Claire go, and Nikki will take their place. She says Victor will agree to anything and pay any amount to get his wife back. She says she’ll be in the alley at Euclid and Seventh in an hour. She ends the call.

Cole says it took a lot of courage for her to stand up to Jordan like she did.

Cole and Victoria.
CBS

Nikki just hopes it works. They wouldn’t be in this situation if it wasn’t for her!

Victoria tells her to stop blaming herself.

Nikki says she’ll make things right.

Nikki talks to Cole and Victoria.
CBS

Victoria says that her mom’s part is done… That was the agreement. She’d contact Jordan and let Victor and the police handle the rest.

Cole nods. Victor and the police will meet with Jordan… Not Nikki.

Nikki says that’s what she means. She’s going to go to the main house and tell Victor what’s going on.

Cole talks to Nikki.
CBS

Victoria says Cole can drive her up there.

Nikki declines. She can use the walk. She’ll be fine once this nightmare is over!

Victoria hugs her and thanks her for contacting Jordan. She tells her she loves her.

Nikki and Victoria hug.
CBS

Nikki hugs her back and says she loves her, too.

Cole thanks her, and Nikki leaves.

Dave speaks.

Billy and Lily talk.
CBS

Lily says she may disagree with Devon’s actions but won’t betray her family. She doesn’t think Jill sounded ready to pass down her crown to Billy.

Billy says that Lily is the type of person to go after what she wants. He tells her not to be afraid to lean into it.

Lily laughs. No pressure! She says she didn’t vote against Nate because of Devon’s tactics. She voted against him because of their history, and she didn’t mean it to signal to Billy that she’s ready to follow his dreams of them ruling the company.

Lily smiles as she talks to Billy.
CBS

Billy says they could “shake the dust” out of the company and bring it to the next level; they could make it into a powerhouse.

Lily’s not convinced that’s the direction she wants to take the company.

Billy says her choice of words is interesting… “Not convinced” implies that she could be convinced. He says he won’t give up. He leaves her in the lobby.

Lily hates to burst Mamie’s bubble, but the motion didn’t pass.

Mamie asks who “ruined” the vote.

Mamie clenches her fist.
CBS

Lily says she did; she voted against Nate.

Mamie asks why she’d do that. Nate’s done a fine job at the company!

Lily says he has, but he’s also broken their trust in a big way, and she doesn’t think he’s earned his seat on the board yet.

Lily talks with Mamie.

Cole says his superpower is making tea… And Victoria has lots of thunderbolts left in her!

Cole talks to Victoria.
CBS

Victoria says she’s been through difficult situations before, but usually she doesn’t stop until she gets to the other side. She says this time, she has to be strong for their daughter, so why does she feel so vulnerable?

Cole brings her a cup of tea and says she’s facing the unknown here… The daughter they thought they’d lost is back in their lives, and the thought of losing her again is overwhelming. Abby and Devon sit and talk.
CBS

Devon says Lily was the first to forgive Nate for everything he did and welcome him back to the company. He has a “bit of a problem” believing Lily has a loyalty issue, and he thinks something else is at play… He thinks something is going on with Lily and Billy; they were giving each other knowing looks.

Abby says the looks could mean anything.

Devon thinks Billy could be “working” Lily. He wonders if Billy is trying to convince Lily that all the tension in the company is coming from Devon and Nate instead of Billy. He says Billy likes playing the victim card, and Lily buys into it because she’s always had a soft spot for him.

Devon Hamilton-Winters.
CBS

Crimson Lights

CBS

Lily Winters talks to Mamie.
CBS

Mamie says that short of the ideal, that’s the best solution.

Lily reminds Mamie it was Lily’s idea to merge the companies. Dividing them would go against her vision.

Mamie says there’s nothing wrong with changing her vision. As a family, they have the opportunity to create a true legacy. Billy, Jill, and Chance are getting in the way of a future that should be theirs!

Mamie talks to Lily.
CBS

Lily says Mamie’s not listening… Lily won’t split the company in half.
