Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Nikki made her own plans to take care of Jordan as Victor and Jack scrambled, while Sharon counseled Adam.
Chancellor-Winters
Nate and Devon discuss business at CW and when Abby arrives, she’s happy to see them working together so well.
Nate goes off to make a call and Devon asks him to return in a half hour.
Abby questions her boyfriend. Isn’t that when the board meeting starts?
Devon says it is with a sly smile, making her wonder what he’s up to.
The Tack House
Victoria argues with her mother about offering herself up to Jordan as bait. It’s too risky. Nikki doesn’t think she understands. She’s the one Jordan wants, the one who caused this by allowing her to live. Victoria denies it.
The three of them made a pact not to become just like Jordan.
Yeah, Nikki says and look where it got them. Harrison and maybe Claire were abducted. Victoria’s surprised to hear she’s still having doubts about Claire’s innocence. They debate about that and it upsets Victoria that nobody cares that Claire has a target on her back. Nikki’s sorry.
She didn’t mean to make this worse. Victoria asks her mom to keep those thoughts to herself. “Duly noted,” she says. She asks for Claire’s phone number so she can send Jordan a message. Victoria doesn’t like that idea. It’s too dangerous. Neither will Victor’s, Nikki says.
Jordan’s need for vengeance is too strong to accept that offer without revenge.
Victoria sighs and will give her the number but under one condition.
Before she can say, her phone rings.
She goes to take it while Nikki digs into her pocket and takes out her flask, taking a sip before slipping a mint into her mouth. Victoria returns.
Cole’s on his way back.
They agree to leave Dad out of the loop but Victoria wants her an Cole to help. Nicholas too.
Nikki refuses. Nicholas will tell Victor. Victoria doesn’t believe that.
Cole returns and Nikki’s not happy when Victoria reveals her mom’s plan. Cole doesn’t like it.
Nikki says she’ll let them in but not Nicholas.
Cole calls it dangerous. She’s aware but they need to get Claire and Harrison home safely.
Victoria agrees there’s a terrible logic behind it.
Nikki asks Cole to keep it from Victor.
He calls this impulsive and short sighted and might trigger Jordan into doing something terrible.
She argues that Victor will put her on the sidelines if she tells him.
Victoria tells Cole that Nikki blames herself for this.
Cole argues vehemently that she’s not.
Nikki doesn’t care.
She needs to do this.
Victoria’s astounded by Nikki’s fervor.
“This is what we’re doing. Get it?” She asks, pointing in his face.
Nikki met her daughter’s conditions and tells her to give her Claire’s number, now.
Victoria’s shocked and asks if she’s okay.
She’s so agitated.
Of course she is, Nikki bellows.
Jordan needs to be stopped!
She paces and yells and begs her kid to tell her why she’s fighting her at every turn.
Victoria interrupts. “Mom. Have you been drinking again?”
Nikki barks out a, “No! I haven’t been drinking.” They embrace.
Nikki appreciates her caring but lies that she hasn’t.
The Newman Ranch
Victor embraces Summer when she arrives at the ranch. She cries on his shoulder as he tells her they’re there for her. She’s afraid.
He assures her his plan will bring Harrison home.
Kyle thanks Chance for coming by and Jack asks if he was able to get information from his friends on the force.
Chance says not as of yet. They’re chasing all the tips.
Summer cries, wondering who would do this to a child.
Victor asks her to believe they’ll bring him home.
He hugs her again. Chance tells them the flower delivery driver was taken for questioning.
He gave a statement about stopping for a coffee on his route and when he came out of the cafe, his truck was gone.
The security cam showed a person dressed in all black, with a baseball cap on who drove off with the truck.
They couldn’t tell if it was male or female. Victor sneers.
They know it was Jordan.
They ponder if Jordan paid him off but the driver always stops for coffee on his route so Chance isn’t sure.
Summer gets triggered and starts blaming Kyle again.
He lets her, pursing his lips, trying to have patience.
Kyle agrees, he let Claire in but he doesn’t want to believe Claire is a part of this.
Summer yells that she conned him.
Kyle points out that there’s no mention of Claire in the hostage demands.
No safe passage for her.
He also doesn’t get why she would go with Jordan.
He admits he’s beginning to believe Claire is a victim, too.
Summer calls him a fool, wasting time worrying about the wrong person.
Jack asks them to calm down.
Victor agrees with Jack.
He also agrees with Kyle, that Claire’s innocent.
He’s been around her for a while and whenever Jordan’s name is brought up, her hatred of her aunt is palpable.
Summer says she’s a good con woman.
Victor asks his sweetheart to let go of her anger. Chance asks what the plan is.
Victor says they interrogate the driver.
Chance says the cops did that.
Victor thinks there’s more to tell but Chance reminds him he can’t use that in a court case.
Victor doesn’t give a hoot about a court case.
Chance says when family gets involved, it’s when tragic mistakes are made.
“When I ask you for advice, you will know.”
He’ll do anything to find his granddaughter and grandson and asks Chance to stay the hell out of it.
Victor says to jump on board or leave.
Kyle and Jack side with Victor who makes a call to his guard to bring the truck driver to the ranch. If he does, he’ll be compensated.
Chance takes off with Summer on his heels.
Society
Billy and Lily dine together and discuss how Mattie is strong and resilient and dong well back in grad school.
Billy smiles. She’s just like her mom. Lily’s not too sure she agrees with that.
She says Charlie has a job at a production company in LA.
It’s like taking a master class in film making.
Billy talks about how well his kids are doing but his video chats with them from boarding school don’t last long enough.
Lily’s sorry for what Chelsea’s going through with Connor.
Billy says she’s doing all she can to stay on track and help Connor get through it.
Lily asks after how well he and Adam are getting along. He shrugs. Not great.
He likes being with Lily, chatting like old friends.
She agrees on a personal note but on a professional one? “I don’t trust you,” she admits. They agree on nothing.
He’s always contrary with her. Billy calls it an honest exchange of ideas.
She won’t betray her family for him.
He didn’t ask her to but she knows him.
It’s part of his plan. Like why he wants to add Abbott to the name of the company, why he antagonizes Devon and why Jill is basically absent.
Billy insists he’s been open about what he wants and he’s not playing games.
Lily says maybe, but she needs to be pragmatic.
It outweighs hurting people’s feelings.
At the board meeting today, she’ll bring up clarifying his role in the company.
Billy likes that idea.
Lily will urge the board to limit his control and remove him from being an officer at the company.
He calls it a bold move. She thinks they should have had the conversation when Jill brought him on.
Billy’s never tried to replace her. Lily knows but not everyone agrees.
They can focus on making the company better this way.
He says self-preservation brings out her eyes. Lily sighs.
Billy says they’re good together.
She says not good enough to give him half her power.
He’s working on himself. He cautions her about trusting her family, knowing Devon is only out for himself.
Lily believes in Devon but if something happens, they’ll deal with it. Billy says hes’ the only one she can trust.
Chancellor-Winters, Lily’s office
Lily and Billy arrive at work. Abby hugs Lily in greeting and Devon says Jill’s joining via video chat.
Nate appears in the door. He’s not sure this is his turf since the discussion is about Daniel.
Jill appears on the screen and agrees with him. Why is Nate there?
Devon asked Nate to be with them.
Before they discuss Daniel, he drops a bombshell on everyone.
He wants to motion for Nate to be reappointed to the board.
Everyone’s shock is apparent on their faces. Lily wished she’d spoken to her first.
Devon wants to take a vote. Abby says she knew about it but Nate didn’t.
He’s humbled and vows to do his best if elected.
Billy looks pointedly at Lily. “Hmm. Interesting.”
Jill asks how long the bombshell has been percolating in his brain.
Devon says it’s what Neil wanted. It was in his will and Devon thinks he earned it.
Billy calls it shady to spring it on them all. He calls for a vote. Billy asks if this is pay back.
Devon says no. Devon and Abby vote for Nate. Billy snipes, “Surprise, surprise.”
Billy votes against him but says it’s not personal. It’s too soon.
Jill agrees, he brazenly sold them out. It’s a tie. Lily says it’s up to her.
Newman Ranch, outside
Summer follows Chance outside.
He’s not happy.
Summer apologizes on her grandfather’s account.
Chance expected this and should have reminded him of how many times things have blown up in his face.
Illegal things.
Summer defends Victor.
Chance says this is why he left law enforcement. People like him think they’re above the law.
Summer says it’s how he became who he is. She’s not saying she agrees.
She knows he takes it too far but right now, the cops keep losing Jordan and her son is out there.
She just wants him home and doesn’t care how it happen.
She thinks he’d agree if it happened to Dom. He agrees he’s not sure what he’d do. He’ll do what he can do to help. He’ll go check with the lead detective. He kisses her and goes.
Back inside, the flower truck delivery driver, Dave, takes a seat.
Kyle towers over him and Jack stands across from him. Victor’s not in the room.
The man looks around, nervously and asks why he’s there.
He’s given a statement. Jack wants him to tell them everything.
He’ll be well rewarded if he helps. Jack asks if he knows his truck was involved in the abduction of a even year old.
Dave shakes his head.
He was getting snacks and the truck was stolen.
That’s all he knows.
Victor enters the room looking menacing.
Jack says the driver seems like an innocent man but he points at Victor. To that man?
He say if Victor Newman thinks he knows more, he’ll turn the man’s life upside down.
He’s seen it before. He’d hate to see it happen to this guy. Victor offers him $100,000 for inside information.
Kyle yells that they know he’s involved. Jack calls Jordan a murder and says he’s lucky to have gotten out alive.
Kyle sneers at him and Victor asks him to tell them everything they know.
