Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Claire questioned her sanity, Jordan disguised herself and visited Claire in the hospital, and Tucker made Phyllis an offer.
The Abbott Mansion
Traci, Jack, and Diane are decorating the tree. Traci reminisces that Katherine Chancellor had given her the ornament in her hand when she was six years old.
Jack sees an ornament that was given to him by Luan, Keemo’s mom. He hangs it on the tree and mentions that Allie and Noah won’t make it, as they’re stuck in London.
Traci says they’re “young love,” and declares the Christmas tree the best tree ever!
Kyle and Harrison come home, and everyone fawns over Harrison.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Devon pours some champagne for himself, Ashley, and Abby.
Ashley says she loves Christmas and the bustle that goes with it.
Abby jokes that her mom just loves buying presents.
Ashley says there’s a lot of storage space at the Abbott house, and she figures there’s room for a pony at the Chancellor Estate. She’s going to spoil Dominic!
Abby says no to the pony and begs Devon to talk sense into her mom.
Devon isn’t getting between their son and his grandmother. They all laugh and clink their glasses in a toast. Devon asks Ashley to join them on Christmas day.
Abby says it’s going to be their first Christmas together as a family in their “new old home.”
Ashley loves the idea. She asks if they’ve made any plans with Tucker.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker walks in carrying a box, humming Christmas carols.
He unpacks the box, pulling out a child’s tambourine, some other musical toys, and a little t-shirt that says “Grandpa’s Little Rock Star” on the front.
Chancellor-Winters
Nate and Mamie walk into the Chancellor-Winters offices. Nate tells Mamie that things turned ugly the last time he was there, but he’s back on a trial basis now.
Mamie figures the trial will turn into a permanent position soon. She says Nate learned from his mistakes and found his priorities, and now he’s back at his family’s company where he belongs.
Nate didn’t think he’d be a part of the company again.
Mamie says their family will accomplish great things now that he’s back.
Nate asks Mamie if there will be any more surprises from her.
The GCAC Dining Room
Abby tells her mom that she hasn’t talked with Devon about Tucker and Christmas.
Ashley says that she fully supports Tucker visiting with Dominic, but she needs to know when he’ll be there so she doesn’t have to talk to him.
Devon says Tucker won’t be an issue. His phone rings and he excuses himself to take a business call.
Ashley tells Abby that it makes her smile to see her daughter happy and in love.
Abby wants the same for her mom, but she’ll never forgive Tucker for what he did. She says he shouldn’t be back in Genoa City after what happened in Paris.
The Abbott Mansion
Harrison has a surprise… It’s a sprig of mistletoe! Kyle lifts him up so he can hold it over Jack and Diane’s heads. Harrison tells Jack to “Kiss Dee-Dee!”
Jack laughs and kisses Diane.
Diane says she’s glad to be there celebrating Christmas with them; it’s so different than last year. They’re safe and happy, and she’s excited about the future!
Traci says her favorite thing about Christmas is love. The family’s love gets stronger year after year.
Harrison, Jack, and Traci go look at the tree as Diane and Kyle sit on the sofa.
Diane tells Kyle it’s his first Christmas without Summer; she’s sorry.
Kyle says it’s in the past.
Traci claps her hands and interrupts their talk, saying Harrison wants to finish decorating the tree.
Diane and Kyle get up and head over to the tree. Diane wants to know the story behind all the decorations on the tree. She picks up an ornament that says, “Jacky” on it and asks about it.
Traci says that their mom helped Jack make it when he was young and didn’t think his whole name would fit on it. (Jack’s actual name is John Robert Abbott.)
The suggestion comes up to make an ornament for Harrison, but it’ll have to be shortened to fit! It’s decided he’ll have the nickname of “Harry.”
Kyle helps Harrison hang an ornament on the tree. Kyle’s phone pings with a message from Tucker. “Any progress?”

Phyllis walks into the restaurant and smiles as she sees Summer and Chance laughing and joking as they sit together at a table.
Summer and Chance enthusiastically talk about the amazing concert they attended the night before. Summer says she hasn’t danced that much since… She can’t remember when!
Chance laughs and says she even got him dancing… Impressive!
Summer says she’s spoiled for life because Chance had VIP tickets and she got to meet the band backstage.
Phyllis walks over and says hello. She says she can feel their vibes from across the room; what’s got them so excited?
Summer says they went to the “Say Jump” concert last night.
Phyllis is surprised. Summer used to love that band!
Summer says she still loves the band and will keep her wristband forever.
Phyllis says Chance is a hero.
Chance says he’s just happy he was able to use Sharon’s ticket. He jokes how hard he had to work to convince Summer to come with him.
Phyllis asks Chance if everything’s okay with Sharon since he had to use her ticket.
Summer says Sharon’s fine and explains that she had a last-minute business meeting.
Phyllis says Summer was lucky.
Chance says he’s the lucky one since he didn’t have to go alone… And Summer taught him some new dance moves!
Phyllis smiles. She mentions that she heard about Chance quitting the police department and starting a new career at Chancellor-Winters.
Chance laughs and says Jill and his mom didn’t give him much of a choice.
Summer says it’s a big leap from police work to go to the corporate world, but it might be just what Chance needs.
Chance smiles and thanks Summer for going to the concert with him. He says he has to get going. He waves and leaves the restaurant.
Summer tells her mom not to start in on things. She says it was a one-time thing with Chance.
Phyllis laughs and says Summer “taught him moves!”
Summer laughs with her mom and tells her to stop.
Chancellor-Winters
Mamie tells Nate that surprises keep life interesting.
Nate says that surprises can be bad for business, too.
Mamie says she secretly invested in Chancellor-Winters, and that caught some people by surprise. Some people were pleased, some… Not so much.
Nate says that partnering with Tucker was problematic.
Mamie says she’s finished with Tucker and wants no contact with him.
Nate asks if she has any other secrets.
Mamie says the only thing she wants is a secret to no one… She wants Jill out of their business!
Billy walks into the office and says that he’s there to make sure that Mamie doesn’t succeed.
Mamie tells Billy that his mom isn’t at the office.
Billy says he’s going to be setting up shop in Lily’s office.
Mamie looks surprised.
Billy says she hasn’t heard yet. He’s back working at Chancellor-Winters!
Nate says Devon mentioned it was a possibility that Billy would come back, but nothing had been confirmed yet.
Billy says he’s there to confirm. He’s filling in with Lily as co-CEO.
Nate says Billy had worked there before as COO until he walked out on the company and on Lily.
Billy says Nate tried to take the company out from under Devon and Lily… Maybe they should both just focus on the future instead of bickering.
Mamie thinks it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
Society
Phyllis tells Summer she’s happy that Summer went after Chance.
Summer says she’s not going after anything and tells her mom not to look at Chance like he’s future son-in-law material! She says Sharon had a business meeting and Chance had an extra ticket. She was invited, and that’s all that happened!
Phyllis says it seems that Chance and Summer had a good time at the concert.
Summer says they were seeing their favorite band.
Phyllis thinks it’s cute that Summer called it “our favorite band.”
Summer laughs and says she’ll admit it… She had an incredible time with Chance last night. She needed something to get her mind off the fact that she’s not with Kyle and Harrison decorating the Christmas tree.
Phyllis understands. She says she’s happy that her daughter was happy with a really good guy.
Summer cringes and says she wishes she didn’t have feelings for Chance.
Phyllis says a person can’t control what the heart wants.
Summer figures she doesn’t have to act on it. She says that Chance is with Sharon; if he didn’t want to be with her, he wouldn’t be!
Phyllis says people settle all the time.
Summer wants to change the subject. What’s new with Phyllis?
Phyllis laughs and says, “Tucker McCall!”
The GCAC
Devon finishes taking his call in the club lobby.
Tucker comes down the stairs and says hello. He asks if Devon is there to see him.
Devon laughs and says he’s not. He’s there with Abby and Ashley and should get back to them.
Tucker hopes this isn’t his only chance to wish them a Merry Christmas.
Ashley tells Abby she wants to leave what happened in Paris behind her and she doesn’t want it to affect Abby’s family’s relationship with Tucker.
Abby says Tucker has hurt Ashley, he’s hurt Devon, and he’ll hurt anyone that gives him a chance.
Ashley says she’s not defending Tucker, but Devon already lost a father. She says Tucker is amazing with Dominic.
Abby says Tucker lies as easily as he breathes… Even to his own son!
Ashley nods. She says it’s a shame.
Abby hopes Ashley isn’t feeling sorry for Tucker.
Ashley says Tucker will be “dealt with” and will need all the support he can get.
Abby asks what she’s talking about.
Ashley says she’ll find out soon enough. Tucker won’t be a threat to Jabot anymore, and probably not to anyone else!
The Abbott Mansion
On the front porch, Kyle shows his dad the message from Tucker.
Jack says they’ve got Tucker where they want him.
Kyle grins and says they’ll give him the formula for their latest and greatest bogus perfume!
Jack says by the time Tucker notices it’s an old formula that they’d discarded, it’ll be too late.
Kyle is excited that they’ll nail Tucker for corporate theft.
Jack nods. He says first they’ll release the information on the scandal, and then they’ll finish Tucker off by charging him with theft. He thanks Kyle for what he’s done to make this happen, saying that Kyle beat Tucker at his own game.
Kyle says he’s sorry he didn’t tell Jack what he was up to sooner.
Jack says he made some mistakes, too. When Kyle left for Newman Media, Jack thought he’d lost his son for good to another company. He’s proud of Kyle.
Chancellor-Winters
Mamie tells Billy his mother must be pleased that he’s co-CEO.
Billy grins and says she is.
Mamie hopes Billy settles in as quickly as Nate, who’s already made a real difference at the company.
Billy thinks Nate will do well in product and content development as long as they keep their eyes focused on the work and not on Nate’s personal agendas.
Nate raises an eyebrow. “Excuse me?”
Billy says that he’s surprised that Devon and Lily gave Nate a chance to redeem himself after what happened with Victor and Newman Enterprises.
Nate says he doesn’t need to defend himself to Billy. Devon and Lily trust him enough to bring him back, and as Nate said previously… Billy’s opinion is irrelevant.
Billy says it’s not irrelevant since he’s Nate’s boss.
Mamie says what matters is that they work together against Tucker and his threat to Chancellor-Winters.
Billy agrees. He says they can do that as long as Mamie’s being honest about ending her business relationship with Tucker.
Mamie says Billy said it best; they need to keep their eyes forward. They need to stop squabbling and looking for trouble that doesn’t exist.
Billy smiles. He says Mamie’s right; if Devon and Lily can give Nate the benefit of the doubt, so can he!
Mamie says she’ll keep an eye on that promise.
Billy grins and says he’s going to keep his eye on her, too.
Nate says they all want what’s best for Chancellor-Winters.
Billy’s happy. He says it’s good to see them both, but he has an appointment. He invites them to stick around in his office until he gets back. Billy leaves the office.
Mamie tells Nate that bringing Billy on was a great counter-move on Jill’s part.
Nate asks if Mamie is worried.
Mamie laughs. She says she’s not worried; she has Jill Abbott running scared!
Society
Summer asks her mom why she’s talking to Tucker… She thought Phyllis hated him!
Phyllis says Tucker came to her. She can’t believe Tucker had the gall to offer her a job.
Summer says she must have said, “No.”
Phyllis says it’s a really great job.
Summer says she’d be working with Tucker, so it wouldn’t be very “great.”
Phyllis says Tucker wants her to be the head of I.T. at his new company. She’d run the entire division, instead of working beneath a bunch of other people like she does at OmegaSphere.
Summer thinks her mom isn’t showing gratitude that Daniel took a chance on her and gave her a job at OmegaSphere.
Phyllis says she has gratitude, but her job right now isn’t very fulfilling, and she feels like Daniel is watching over her shoulder for any misstep.
Summer thinks Phyllis is “seeking out chaos” by working with Tucker. She wonders why Tucker would even want to work with Phyllis… Doesn’t he hate her too?
Phyllis says Tucker wants to work with her because she’s brilliant. She’s just that good at what she does! It’s nice that her talents are appreciated by him. She says she’s not interested in the job, but he is offering quadruple of her current salary.
Summer thinks Phyllis is considering taking the job.
The GCAC Dining Room
Ashley tells Abby that they have a plan to save Jabot from Tucker. It’s good for the Abbotts and Jabot, but it’s going to be devastating for Tucker.
Abby asks if she’s supposed to be sad for Tucker.
Ashley says if things go the way she thinks it will, Tucker will lose everything. He’s going to be angry and humiliated. It’s going to affect his relationship with Devon, and it won’t be good.
Abby says if Tucker spins out, she’ll protect Devon and Dominic.
Ashley tears up and says she doesn’t want to admit that the love she thought she had with Tucker turned into nothing. She asks if Abby can be tolerant of Tucker.
Abby says she will be, but only if Ashley promises never to get back with Tucker.
Ashley promises. She says Tucker burned those bridges in Paris.
In the lobby, Tucker asks Devon if they can put aside their animosity for the holidays. He has a Santa Claus-sized bag of toys for Dominic and he’d love to drop them off.
Devon says he’s not sure if that’s a good idea.
Tucker says it wouldn’t take long.
Devon nods and says he can drop them off.
Tucker asks Devon if there’s any chance they could spend Christmas Eve together.
Devon says the holiday is all about Dominic, and they don’t have time for hidden agendas or drama. He doesn’t want Tucker worming his way back into their life, and he won’t get a pity invite either.
Tucker says he’s not trying to get a pity invite.
Devon says he is, and Tucker’s lied to him in the past. He says Tucker being on the outside looking in is his own fault.
Tucker nods. He knows. He’d love to get a second chance or a Christmas truce.
Devon says there’s no chance. He leaves Tucker and joins Ashley and Abby at the table.
Abby asks Devon if everything’s okay.
Devon says Tucker will come over and drop off gifts on Christmas day. Tucker’s a lost cause.
Ashley says Tucker is a lost cause to her, but maybe not for Devon.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle is on the phone and asks the person to fast-track the formulation they need.
Jack grabs Kyle’s phone and says, “He’ll call you back. Merry Christmas!” He disconnects the call.
Kyle says the call was important.
Jack says it’s not as important as decorating the tree.
Kyle says he’s worried.
Jack says that Tucker will leave town and head to an Ashram by the new year with his tail between his legs.
Kyle says Tucker feeds off negative energy, so he has trouble believing it.
Jack says Tucker has no idea what’s coming and won’t be able to prepare for it or plan a counter-attack. Tucker’s finished.
Kyle asks how Jack can be so confident.
Jack tells him to have faith. The good guys win sometimes! He tells Kyle that he protected the family from Tucker, and he’s impressed and proud.
Kyle says it means a lot to him that Jack’s going to make him co-CEO when it’s over.
Society
Phyllis tells Summer she’s not considering taking the job from Tucker. She only told Summer because she’d find it hilarious that Tucker would offer her such an incredible job.
Summer shakes her head. She says the games will never end with Phyllis. It’s obvious she wants the job, and she wants Summer to say that it’s worth the risk.
Phyllis says she’s flattered that Tucker wants her to work with him. Nobody else in town has shown her any respect.
Summer says she’s going to break down why Phyllis shouldn’t take the job. She says Phyllis hates Tucker, which should be enough. Tucker is going after the Abbotts, so the salary he offered her is a bribe for Phyllis to do something illegal or unethical… And if she leaves OmegaSphere, it’s going to break Daniel’s heart.
Phyllis says that’s a little extreme.
Summer says Daniel took a chance on her. She says that if Phyllis takes the job with Tucker, she won’t be able to trust her again.
Chancellor-Winters
Mamie tells Nate she knows how Jill thinks; Jill is building up her troops!
Nate says it’s not much different than Mamie’s plan. She might just be bringing in reinforcements against Tucker.
Mamie thinks Jill is just trying to protect her position.
Nate says the last thing that Chancellor-Winters needs is a power struggle.
Mamie says that she understands, but her feud with Jill isn’t settled yet.
Nate says he warned Mamie against making a power play against Jill, and it’s worse now that Jill’s son Billy is in the co-CEO spot.
Crimson Lights
Billy meets up with Chance at the coffee house. They shake hands and Billy says he’s excited to have Chance on board at Chancellor-Winters. He mentions that Jill and Nina are glad that Chance is out of the line of fire.
Chance says the corporate world probably has its own “line of fire.” He asks what the plan is.
Billy says he will help Chance get on his feet and point him in the right direction, and if Jill has her way, Chance will have a corner office soon.
Chance says he doesn’t want a position that he hasn’t earned.
Billy says he’ll be mentoring Chance; Billy’s the one to talk to if Chance has any questions or concerns.
Chance says he looks forward to proving himself and working with Billy, but he wasn’t expecting to be mentored by him. He says Billy’s business past doesn’t exactly impart confidence in him; how is this mentoring going to work?
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle tells his dad that Billy has left Jabot and moved to Chancellor-Winters.
Jack says that Kyle can’t be given the position yet… They have to maintain the illusion that Kyle is still trying to get the top job.
Kyle says he’ll play the “angry son.”
Ashley comes home and sees them talking on the porch. She asks why they’re outside; it’s freezing!
Jack says they’re on Santa’s naughty list.
Ashley laughs. She says she can see that, and says her holiday wish is that they don’t talk about Tucker.
Jack says her wish is his command.
They head inside.
Society
Phyllis tells Summer they’ve made progress and deepened their bond.
Summer says they did, but now Phyllis is pulling the same thing she’s done in the past. She thought Phyllis wanted to change and be a better person, but if that were true, she wouldn’t even consider working with Tucker.
Phyllis says she never considered it.
Tucker walks in. Summer looks over. “You’re meeting him here?!”
Phyllis says it’s a coincidence. She wasn’t meeting him.
Summer doesn’t believe her. She grabs her purse and gets up to leave. As she’s passing Tucker, she tells him to stay away from her mom.
Tucker says, “And a Merry Christmas to you, too!”
Summer asks him to stop tempting her mom. Phyllis doesn’t want anything to do with him, no matter the price. She leaves the restaurant.
Phyllis tells Tucker she’s sorry.
Tucker sits down with Phyllis and says she doesn’t need to apologize. She raised someone who’s not afraid to speak their mind! He says Phyllis has obviously told Summer about his offer, which means she’s considering it.
Phyllis says she’s not considering it. She told Summer about it for a laugh. There’s no way in hell she’ll ever work with him.
The Abbott Mansion
Traci welcomes Ashley home with a hug.
Harrison brings Ashley a cookie. She laughs and tells him that Santa is going to bring him everything on his wishlist.
Kyle gestures for her to shush.
Ashley laughs and says she can’t believe they decorated the tree without her.
Jack says they saved her a decoration… The angel.
Ashley smiles and says their dad said the angel looked like her. She hangs it on the tree.
Diane approaches Kyle, who’s digging in the box of ornaments. She asks him if he spoke to Jack about the co-CEO position.
Kyle says the present won’t be under the tree for him, but the delivery is on the way.
Diane is overjoyed. She says she’s proud of him, and they need to celebrate!
