On the last episode of Y&R, Sally set boundaries with Adam, Nick gave Elena breakup advice, and Kyle had trouble keeping a secret.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge at the GCAC
Billy comes into the club and sees Summer sitting at the bar.
He asks her how she’s doing.
Summer says she knows how Billy felt about Phyllis and says that he doesn’t need to check in with her.
Crimson Lights
Daniel comes in and sees Chelsea sitting in the coffee shop.
Chelsea says he looks like he needs someone to talk to and asks him what’s up.
Daniel says that he’s waiting for some bombs to explode.
Society
Jack tells Victor it’s always nice to see him.
Victor says that Jack looks bothered. He says that if Jack is worried about Adam, he’s back in the Newman fold.
Jack says he couldn’t be happier for him.
Victor sits down and says that something is obviously bothering Jack and he might want to talk to him about it.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane asks Kyle what’s on his mind and if it’s about her case. She asks how bad it is.
Kyle says it’s potentially good… Really good.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Billy tells Summer he’s sorry and says that he really respected Phyllis and her pure energy.
He says that Phyllis loved Summer and Daniel.
Summer says that she knows that Phyllis loves… Errrr LOVED her.
Billy says that Summer and Phyllis had their ups and downs.
Summer says that Phyllis would decide that it was her against the world even when it wasn’t, and she’d end up hurting others around her.
Summer says she was always on Phyllis’s side and doesn’t know why Phyllis can’t see that.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle says that the murder charges against Diane may get dropped soon.
Diane is agog and can’t believe it.
Kyle says that the only person who did something wrong is Phyllis.
Society
Victor asks Jack what’s going on.
Jack asks him to let it go.
Victor says maybe he’s waiting for Diane to join him, but she’s wearing an ankle bracelet.
He asks if they’re giving out free “get of jail free” cards to felons.
Jack says that the only person who should be in jail is…
Christine walks in and Victor excuses himself and leaves the restaurant.
Christine sits down and asks what Jack needs to talk to her about.
Jack says that Phyllis is alive.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane asks how a dead Phyllis could have done anything, and asks if they found proof that Jeremy killed Phyllis.
Kyle tells Diane that Phyllis is alive and Phyllis set up the entire thing to frame Diane.
Crimson Lights
Daniel sits with Chelsea and asks what’s going on with her lately.
Chelsea says that Connor keeps shutting her down when she wants to talk to him and asks Daniel for advice.
Daniel laughs and says he’s not the one to ask.
Chelsea says she wants to talk about Omega Sphere. She pulls something up on her tablet and gives it to him.
Daniel looks at the plans for a minute and says that he could have used therapeutic games like that when he was a kid.
He says they should talk about the game engine, and Chelsea asks if he really wants to talk about that right now.
Daniel says that he needs to bury himself in work a bit… It’s the perfect time to talk about Omega Sphere.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Billy asks Summer what she thinks Phyllis would want her to do. He says that Phyllis lived for her and Daniel and would have died for them. He says Phyllis was a fighter.
Summer says her mother could be exhausting.
Billy says that Phyllis would go to the wall to protect Summer and that he sees parts of Phyllis in her… The good parts.
He says Summer is smart and goes after what she wants, and the people she loves know that she’ll do anything to protect them.
He says things will get easier over time, and that Phyllis will stay alive in Summer’s heart.
Summer looks uncomfortable and says she’s sorry for being rude earlier.
Billy finishes his drink and gets ready to leave. He asks her why she’s sitting alone at a bar when she has a household of people that are willing to help her.
He says that Kyle is crazy in love with her and just wants to help.
Summer says that nobody, even Kyle, knows what is going through her head.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle tells Diane that everything about Phyllis’s death was staged, including the ambulance explosion.
Society
Jack tells Christine that Daniel had told him that Phyllis was alive and how Phyllis had met with Daniel at the park to explain how she faked her own death.
Christine says it’s quite the story, but it’s just fiction on Daniel’s behalf.
Jack says it’s hard to believe, but it’s true.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane gets angry and says that she knew Phyllis was psychotic and vindictive, but this is pure evil.
Crimson Lights
Daniel tells Chelsea that they’re almost ready to test the prototype of the game.
Chelsea laughs and says she’s a noob… What exactly does he mean by that?
Daniel explains that they’ll playtest the current state of the game and see how it feels.
Chelsea says that the game might be able to be licensed as therapy.
Billy walks in and smiles as he sees Chelsea and Daniel talking.
Chelsea thanks him for working with her and says he’s doing a great job.
Daniel says he’s not sure everyone would see it that way.

The Abbott Mansion
Summer calls Daniel and leaves a voicemail. She asks him to call her back, saying she needs to know Daniel’s plans and that she believes that Phyllis wants to come home. She says she has some ideas of how to bring their mom home safely.
Diane tells Kyle that Phyllis almost destroyed her life. She asks how Phyllis could be so hateful.
Kyle says that Michael didn’t want to tell Diane about Phyllis being alive because Diane might break her house arrest.
Diane says she should break house arrest. She rages around the living room complaining about Phyllis.
She asks Kyle when the charges against her will be dropped and asks when she’ll be free again.
Kyle says that Michael is working on things and Jack is talking with Christine right now.
Diane says that Jack lied when she asked him what was going on.
Kyle says that Jack didn’t want her to get riled up.
Diane hugs Kyle and thanks him for telling her.
She says that she’ll be able to hold her head up, knowing that freedom is nigh. She asks Kyle if Summer knows.
Kyle says that they’ve withheld that information from Summer.
Diane asks how Phyllis could do something like this to her children and then realizes that she did the exact same thing to Kyle and others.
Kyle says they’re over Diane’s faked death.
Diane says that they can’t keep this a secret from Summer and says that if Kyle doesn’t tell her, it could tear his marriage apart.
Society
Christine asks Jack if there’s any evidence that Phyllis is alive… Are there any pictures or anything that would provide proof of his claims?
Jack says that Daniel could sign an affidavit attesting to the fact that Phyllis is alive.
He starts recounting charges that Phyllis could be liable for and says that Phyllis could be charged with murder because she killed Stark.
Christine says that could all be made up, and it’s not proof of anything.
Jack says that he knows that Phyllis killed Jeremy Stark with a pair of scissors.
Crimson Lights
Billy sits down at the table with Chelsea and puts a cinnamon bun down in front of her.
They joke about how a lot of their relationship is based on pastry.
Chelsea says that the Omega Sphere project is coming along nicely.
Billy asks about Connor.
Chelsea says Connor is really withdrawn lately. She wonders if her depression and attempted suicide has anything to do with the way Connor is acting lately.
Billy says she’s being too hard on herself.
Chelsea laughs and says that she and Adam aren’t always the best at parenting, but today, Billy and her can both pat themselves on the back for getting through the day without screwing up badly.
Society
Jack tells Christine that now that she has more information, she should mobilize the police to start looking for Phyllis.
Christine asks Jack if he’s really asking for the police department to look for Phyllis when there’s no hard evidence that she’s alive.
Jack says Christine has a responsibility to get Diane’s charges dismissed because she’s innocent.
Christine says that even though she never saw eye-to-eye with Phyllis, the one thing that Phyllis wouldn’t do is hurt her kids like this. She tells Jack that if he wants her to do anything, he needs to bring her concrete proof.
She leaves the restaurant while Jack stands alone, anguished.
The Abbott Mansion
Summer comes home and Kyle walks over and talks with her.
Summer asks Kyle why he’s looking at her “like that”.
Kyle says he has good news.
Summer says she’s tired and wants to go to bed so he should just tell her the news.
Kyle says he doesn’t know how to tell her, so he’ll just say it. He says it’s about her mom… Phyllis is alive.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea says that Billy’s a good man.
Billy smiles and caresses Chelsea’s face.
Chelsea laughs and says she just got shivers.
Billy says that her smile lights up the room, and says that he really appreciates how they’re taking things slow. He says she gives him hope for the future, and they support each other.
He says that her smile makes him think anything’s possible.
Chelsea looks uncomfortable, and he asks what’s going on.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Christine thanks Chance for meeting her. She tells Chance that she has crazy news for him.
The Abbott Mansion
Summer asks why Daniel wouldn’t tell Summer about meeting Phyllis, yet he felt comfortable telling Kyle about it.
Kyle says that Daniel didn’t want to hurt Summer. Kyle says he’s sorry that Phyllis didn’t reach out to Summer first.
Summer asks if Kyle believes Daniel that Phyllis is alive.
Kyle says he has no reason not to believe it, and that Jack and Michael know about it as well.
Summer starts to freak out and turns away from Kyle.
Kyle asks her not to shut down on him like this.
Jack walks out onto the patio and finds Diane sitting there.
Diane tells Jack that Kyle told her the news about Phyllis, but it should have been Jack who told her.
Crimson Lights
Chelsea starts crying and tells Billy that she does self-checks all the time to see if she’s ok, but anytime that she feels like she’s happy or enjoying herself, she starts to wonder if she really deserves to be happy and whether she’ll screw things up.
Chelsea goes on to say that she thinks about the fact that she almost wasn’t here for any of it.
She says that she can remember how she felt while she was up on the roof, and how easy it would have been to just end it all.
Billy says she is there with him, and that she deserves to be happy. He holds her hand.
He says it’s a beautiful night and they should go for a walk in the moonlight.
Chelsea smiles and dries her tears. She says she’d love to go for a walk with him.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle asks Summer what she’s thinking.
Summer says she doesn’t know what to think, but she’s almost afraid to know her mother is alive.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Daniel listens to Summer’s voicemail as he walks into the Jazz Lounge.
He leaves quietly when he sees Chance and Christine talking together.
Chance tells Christine that there’s one thing for sure… Stark was killed with scissors.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack apologizes to Diane for not telling her the news about Phyllis.
Diane says she knows he did it to protect her.
They hug closely.
Jack says they’re close to ending the nightmare, and soon they’ll get married as they planned. He says that Phyllis put Diane in this mess, and come hell or high water, Phyllis will get her out of it.
