On the last episode of Y&R, Daniel learned who killed Stark, Chance was suspicious of Summer, and Kyle surprised Diane in jail.
Chancellor Park
Daniel smirks and asks if Phyllis is alive.
Summer explains that Phyllis defended herself and stabbed Stark with scissors.
Daniel’s having a hard time believing it.
Summer says that their mom explained everything to her.
Daniel is still having a hard time believing that Phyllis was in the park.
Summer says that she’s alive, and Daniel asks where she is now.
Visitor’s Room at the GCPD
Michael smiles and says a cheery good morning to Diane.
She says he’s in a good mood.
Michael says that Jack’s doing everything he can to help her.
Diane says that she’s glad he ignored her plea to leave her alone.
Michael says he has some good news… By the end of the day, he hopes to have her out.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack is on the phone saying that he needs a cashier’s check for a large sum. He ends the call.
Ashley asks what that’s about, and Jack says it’s none of her business.
Jack says that her latest stunt is reprehensible, bringing Tucker in was a new low, even for her.
Chancellor-Winters
Tucker comes to the office and sees Devon. He asks to buy Devon a cup of coffee.
Devon asks what for.
Tucker says things were tense between them the last time they talked, and he’d like to talk with Devon.
Devon says he’s in the middle of work and doesn’t want to take a break.
Tucker says that he sold McCall to Victor Newman.
Devon says that’s great news, and asks if that means that Tucker is leaving town.
Tucker says that he’s staying.
The hotel restaurant in L.A.
Victoria and Nate are having breakfast, and talk about how the meeting was put off until tomorrow.
Victoria says that Nate continues to impress her. She asks what he thinks.
Nate says they make a good team, but there’s something he needs to say.
Elena walks up behind them as they’re talking.
Nate says that he wants to put aside the personal and figure out the business side.
Victoria says she’s on board, they’ll only focus on work for now.
Elena interrupts and says this is what traveling alone on a business trip looks like.
Chancellor-Winters
Devon says he doesn’t know where he fits into Tucker’s plans now that he’s sold the company.
Tucker says that he’d like to repair things between them first.
He says that he heard about the event for Neil, and says he owes Neil a lot for raising Devon. He says that he’d like to produce the Neil Winters Jazz Festival, and would like to announce it at the party.
Visitor’s Room at the GCPD
Michael says that he appealed the no-bail order, and thinks the new judge will be more understanding.
He says that he brought her something to wear, curated by Jack.
Diane asks if Jack knows about the new arraignment.
Michael says that Jack is arranging for her bail.
He tells her to get dressed and calls for a guard.
Chancellor Park
Summer says she doesn’t know where Phyllis is and doesn’t know where to find her.
Daniel says he can’t believe that Phyllis was letting them suffer like this. He asks if Summer’s ok with that.
Summer says she doesn’t know how to make sense of it but they have to focus on the fact they have their mom back.
Daniel says it’s going to take him a minute or two to process this.
Summer says that Stark manipulated Phyllis and forced her into going along with his plan.
Daniel says she didn’t have to go along with it.
Summer says Phyllis gave in in a moment of weakness, and it went wrong.
Daniel laughs and says it sure did go wrong.
Summer says Stark attacked her and she had to kill him in self-defense. They’re going to have to face the fact that their mom is less than innocent.
Daniel says that Phyllis has no ID and no money, and asks how she’d survive.
Summer says that Stark probably set her up.
Daniel asks if Summer’s ok with this.
Summer says that if Phyllis is found alive, that she could go to prison for the rest of her life, and they’ll lose her all over again.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley says that Jack didn’t care how anyone felt when he moved Diane in.
Jack says that he can’t believe that Ashley fell for that scoundrel again.
Ashley and Jack argue about moving Tucker in.
Jack says that Diane is family, whether Ashley likes it or not.
He asks how she’s going to present Tucker to Harrison.
Ashley says he’ll be “Aunt Ashley’s friend.”
She says that nobody knows when Diane will get out.
Jack says that if Michael’s right, she might get out today.
Chancellor-Winters
Tucker says that they could launch a jazz tour around the world.
Devon says that he can’t make a decision on it so quickly. He says that it wouldn’t be Tucker’s announcement to make.

Victoria asks if Elena is hungry and wants to join them.
Elena tells her to shut up and says this is between her and Nate.
Victoria leaves the table.
Nate asks what she’s doing there.
Elena says that she wants him to look her in the eyes and tell her the truth… What’s going on between Nate and Victoria?
Nate says he and Victoria slept together.
Elena picks up a glass of water and throws it in his face.
She says he’s pathetic.
Nate says he didn’t mean to sleep with Victoria.
Elena says he did sleep with her, though.
She says he lied about coming to L.A. alone and asks if he thinks so little of her that he’d do that.
Elena says she was a complete fool who held onto hope that there was a misunderstanding, but her instincts were right all along.
Nate says he didn’t mean to hurt her.
Elena says he’s still trying to gaslight her, and they spent a lot of time rekindling their relationship. She asks him if all of that was to compensate for his guilt.
She wants to know how long it’s been going on, because she wants to know how much of a liar and cheater he is.
Chancellor-Winters
Tucker says that he hears Devon saying that he should back off.
Devon says it was bad timing, is all.
Tucker says he’s starting to put down roots, and Ashley asked him to move in with her.
The Abbott Mansion
Ashley says that the check was for bail money, but she doubts Diane will get out anytime soon.
Jack says he thinks justice will prevail, and she’ll be home soon.
Ashley says that it’s not Diane’s home and she doesn’t belong there.
Chancellor Park
Summer says that it still doesn’t make sense to her.
Daniel asks why Phyllis put it all on Summer, she could have trusted him too.
Summer asks that he doesn’t say anything to anyone.
Daniel says that nobody would believe him anyhow.
Summer says she was talking to Chance to see if there was a way to get Phyllis out of this, but he grew suspicious, so Summer backed off.
Daniel asks what if they can’t get her out of it?
Summer says that they might just have to let her go and let her start a new life, but if it meant that Phyllis was free, then she’d do anything to keep their mother safe.
Daniel asks if Summer will let Diane take the rap for a murder she didn’t commit.
The hotel restaurant in L.A.
Nate says he didn’t mean this to happen, and that he loves Elena. He tried to fight the feelings.
Elena laughs bitterly and says he was too charmed by Victoria to resist.
She says that after Devon and Nate’s relationship blew up, everyone said he was ruthless and selfish, but she defended him.
Nate says he’s still the man she defended.
Elena says he has changed, and not for the good… Unless this is who he’s always been. Either way, he can go straight to hell, or he can go upstairs to his hotel room with his boss.
She tells him it’s over and leaves him.
Chancellor-Winters
Devon says it’s big news and wonders if Abby knows that he’s moved in.
He says that he won’t trust Tucker just because Ashley does.
Tucker says he wishes he could be there tonight, but understands Devon’s point.
He says he’ll raise a glass to Neil.
Devon says that if he’d like to be there, he can come. They shake hands.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack is on the phone with Kyle. He says he promises Kyle he’ll call if he hears anything about Diane.
Michael comes to the door, and Jack asks him if the judge denied bail.
Diane steps out from behind Michael and rushes into Jack’s arms.
Chancellor Park
Summer tells Daniel that Diane brought everything down on herself.
Daniel says she’s not guilty of murder.
Summer says that they should get rid of Diane for a while until they figure out how to get Phyllis back.
Daniel says that she’s acting like Phyllis now, how could she live knowing that Diane was falsely convicted?
The Abbott Mansion
Michael says that they’re trying to set a record for kissing and hugging, but he doesn’t mind… His time is billable.
Diane says that Michael is brilliant and that Jack should have seen Michael in court, he was amazing.
Michael says that when he knows in his heart that it was the right move, he couldn’t help but do his best.
They talk about the terms of the conditions of Diane’s release.
Diane says she had to hand over her passport and is under house arrest now.
Jack says he was worried, and luck hadn’t been on their side.
They kiss some more.
The hotel restaurant in L.A.
Victoria comes back down to the restaurant.
She asks what happened with him and Elena.
Nate says nothing good.
Victoria says that she guesses he didn’t tell Elena that Victoria was going to be there.
Nate says he wouldn’t consciously try to fool Elena.
Victoria says that unconsciously, he wanted to get caught.
Nate says that makes him sound like a coward.
Victoria says that his actions show that he wasn’t as happy in his relationship with Elena as he pretended.
Society
Tucker sits with Ashley at a table in the restaurant and asks how things are going.
Ashley says that Jack is trying to get Diane out of jail.
Tucker jokes that Jack should break her out, that’d be exciting.
He tells Ashley that he told Devon about moving into the Abbott house.
Ashley says she wishes he’d waited, but is ok with it.
Tucker says they’re gloriously complicated and Ashley smiles.

Victoria asks what happened to his plan to compartmentalize business and personal life.
Nate says that it blew up in his face and he doesn’t think he can compartmentalize things.
Victoria says she didn’t mean to hurt Elena, and if Nate needs some time off…
Nate agrees and says he needs to take some time. He gets up and leaves Vic at the table.
Society
Ashley asks about Tucker’s plan for the Jazz Festival and how that went.
Tucker says he wanted to announce the Neil Winters Jazz Festival at the party tonight, but Devon shut him down.
He asks if Ashley would like to come on a date with him to the party.
Ashley thinks for a second and says she’d love to.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack says that Harrison has been asking about Diane every day and that they told him that she was away on a trip.
Diane says that Summer won’t be happy to see her… After all, she’s walking around “free”, and Summer’s mother is gone.
Jack says he’s more determined to marry Diane that ever, and never wants to lose her.
They kiss and hug.
Chancellor Park
Summer says that they can’t let Diane be punished for something she never did.
Daniel says that they need to go to Chance and let him know what happened, they’ll work it out.
Summer says they have to figure out how to bring Phyllis back first.
Daniel says he’s going to the cops right now.
Summer says he can’t do that… They need more time. She says that she promised Phyllis that she wouldn’t tell anyone, especially the cops.
Daniel says that she told him. He says he’s going to the police and leaves Summer in the park.
